Went there today...is under new ownership and is unavailable for weddings.
My husband and I got married here on 10/15/2021 and could not have asked for a better day! Each and every one of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we dreamed of and more! Bobby and Kristina are absolutely amazing and I cannot thank you both enough for being part of our wedding day! We cannot stop talking about our wedding (and neither can our guests) and we cannot wait to come back! The food was amazing as well! We are so happy we picked The Eagles Nest for our wedding day. Thank you all again for everything!
Mr. & Mrs. Fern
We made the best choice in booking the Eagle’s Nest for our venue! Our wedding was everything we had hoped for and more. A lot of this was thanks to the thoughtful staff at Eagle’s Nest. They took care of everything and took a lot of the stress off of us when it came to planning and the actual day. We were able to enjoy the day even more because of that. The staff had a magical way of being everywhere they were needed without being intrusive. We cannot say enough positive things about this Eagle’s Nest. We wish we could celebrate our wedding there every year!
The Eagle's Nest was the first and only venue that we visited while searching for venues in the Hudson Valley region. We immediately fell in love with the magnificent views of the valley below and the quaint feel of the venue itself, not to mention a price-per-plate that, proportionately, can't be beat in that region. That being said, in the months leading up to the wedding, overall communication with the wedding organizers was somewhat inconsistent. Phone calls were not often returned and email responses were hard to come by. However, in the final month before the wedding when the more critical preparations were being made, Kristina and Bobby both made themselves significantly more available to answer any and all questions and to help us plan the perfect reception. When it came to planning our reception, they were incredibly accommodating and flexible. Even last minute changes and requests were easily incorporated; we could tell that they genuinely wanted us to have the wedding reception we had dreamed of.
We overall had a very positive experience working with The Eagle's Nest staff. It was a little difficult to get into contact with them at times, and there was some confusion/miscommunication over day-of set-up but overall everything turned out beautifully and we were pleased.
The food was excellent, and my guests all raved about it. I personally wish I had had time to eat more of it.
The view is beautiful, especially in the fall and the grounds are well cared for. One note though, I do wish they would update the cabins a bit to make them a little more up-to-date, they are functional, but not really comfortable.
Well what can I say about this place .
Everything was stunning ,food was great the staff was attentive to our needs every step of the way. Bobby the Maneger was the man
He made sure that everything was on point. Cristina was also on the money , they made my wife and I wedding day as special as it can be . Highly recommend this place and these people to be a part of anyone special day . Met the owner Blake there ,as well , and what a gentleman he was … thank you again so much for making our dream come thru ♥️
We held our wedding ceremony and reception at The Eagle's Nest on 9/25 and we are still getting rave reviews from our guests about that day. Bobby and Kristina were the best to work with – they were both easygoing and professional from the very beginning, and made us and our whole crew feel welcome. Jaime, the Maitre D', was there for us all day making sure my husband and I were well taken care of. The venue is breathtaking, the service is spectacular and the food was absolutely delicious. The firepit at the end of the night was the perfect close to our day. All our expectations were met and then some!
We had our wedding at the Eagle’ Nest this past 10-3-21. It was an amazing experience! Bobby, Kristina, Jamie and the staff were terrific in setting up, making our event run smoothly, and checking in with us (Bride + Groom) often to make sure everything was to our liking. The food, drinks and desserts are terrific there! We received sooo many compliments. And the views all around the venue are breathtaking! We are so pleased with Eagle’s Nest in making our Special Day amazing! We would highly recommend this venue to other couples looking for an elegant Wedding Experience in the Mountains! --Jonathan and Victoria
The absolute best wedding venue! We received so many complements! The food was excellent, the bar was never backed up, and the staff is top tier. Bobby, Jamie, and the entire staff run an excellent event and they always were checking in with us (Bride and Groom) to see if there was anything we needed and making sure we got our own appetizers while we were taking pictures. They truly go above and beyond for the bride, groom, and everyone at the wedding. We really didn’t have a strong feel for centerpieces, so we made our own. The tables looked even BETTER than we could’ve expected when the staff set them up. On top of the staff, the view from Eagles Nest is second to none. Its no wonder this place has won so many awards and accolades.
Got married at the Eagle’s Nest at 8/7 and couldn’t be happier! Everything was perfect. All of our guests raved about how much they loved the venue and how it was even worth 4+ hours stuck in traffic coming from NYC haha. We originally picked it because we were struck by the spectacular view, the convenience of the on-site cabins, the value of everything (added champagne and dessert bar!), and the delicious food. In addition to all of these perks, we were very impressed by the service.
Bobby was our main point of contact throughout the planning process and he was amazing. During our wedding, Bobby and the rest of the staff were constantly checking in with us about if we needed anything which helped us to feel relaxed and in good hands. We also appreciated so many of the little added things that they did for us such as picking up some local beers for our wedding reception and packing us leftover food to take home the next day.
We wish we could do it all again! I highly recommend the Eagle’s Nest!
We held my sister’s bridal shower here and it was an amazing experience !!! Bobby and his entire team were so helpful and accommodating every step of the way. The food was excellent and they kept checking in with us throughout the entire event. Everyone in attendance commented on how wonderful everything was. I would highly recommend this place!
We would like to give our highest possible recommendation for The Eagle’s Nest, Bloomingburg, NY – especially to Bobby Meier who catered our wedding on site at our property in upstate NY. It was delightful to work with Bobby who is such a consummate professional and such a wonderful person, from the planning all the way through the end of the event. Weddings can be very stressful, but Bobby was a reassuring, cheerful, even fun presence throughout the whole process. Kristen at Eagle’s Nest was also extremely helpful and efficient at communications during the planning.
Bobby came for a site visit to our property for several visits before the wedding, and he was patient and creative in his suggestions, pointing out where we could save as needed. When we proposed a very beautiful, but complex cake, but he didn’t bat an eyelash (and was able to recreate it perfectly). It was not only a stunningly beautiful creation visually, it was also extremely delicious!
We had two dinners on successive nights -Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Dinner, and the food and service was simply superb. The hors d’oeuvres were elegant and simply delicious, and the main courses were top-quality, which is something you can almost never say about a wedding dinner. The cakes and Viennese Table were stunning and delicious. Even the coffee was excellent!
Bobby’s and his Eagle’s Nest team worked seamlessly. The two chefs operated like a well-oiled machine, and the two servers were efficient and discreet in their service – and left us each evening with a spotless event space for use the following day.
They made it all look so easy, and that is very hard to do. Bobby and the Eagle’s Nest team made the wedding a resounding success. We could not have asked for more. We really look forward to calling on Bobby Maier and the Eagle’s Nest team to make another family function extra-special.
After some change of plans we held our wedding at The Eagles Nest this past December. We were without a venue a week before our wedding when we reached out to see if they had any availability and thankfully they did! Corey and the staff were able to plan and accommodate all of our requests on such short notice, they were nothing short of incredible. The food was delicious and there was plenty of options to choose from! The matre de Bobby was wonderful, he made sure everything ran smoothly day of and he made sure we ate and had drinks all night!
We would highly recommend The Eagles Nest to everyone
We are still dreaming about our wedding reception at the eagles nest over a week ago. As if the gorgeous mountain views weren't enough, the staff was absolutely phenomenal and the food was outstanding. Corey and Michael made the planning super easy, and were very accommodating to our many special requests. And on the day of, Bobby the maitre d, made sure the day was perfect. He took care of every detail and made sure we didn't worry about a thing and just enjoyed our day. He even made sure that we ate and always had something to drink. Our guests are still raving about the food. We wanted something more unique and not the norm, so Corey and Michael personalized a brunch menu just for us and even added a bloody mary bar which was a huge hit! We are so glad we chose the eagles nest and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a venue with gorgeous views, delicious food and amazing staff with fair prices! Lastly, worth mentioning is the fact that they were extra accommodating during these COVID-19 times. All of our guests as well as us felt very comfortable and safe.
The Eagle’s Nest was the venue we chose for our September wedding. We could not have felt better about that decision if we tried. Not only are the scenic views beautiful and refreshing but the atmosphere and the food are just as amazing. The process of planning our wedding was made so easy with the help of Michael and Corey Spiegel, they were both available to answer any and all questions we had as soon as we had them. They were both a calming factor in the craziness that is planning and executing a wedding and I could not have been happier to have them around. Every step from the signing of the contract to tasting and selecting foods and desserts was met with such care and detail from every staff member we encountered. The morning of my wedding Dolly greeted me with open arms and a warm hug that made me feel like I was more than a guest at their venue, we were kept happy as we got ready for the ceremony and everything we needed was attended to. Everything was beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour our guests loved, with appetizers brought to us as we took our formal photos. We were kept fed and drinks filled all night and anytime we needed anything Corey was right there immediately to help with a smile and a calming presence. The bartenders and wait staff were all so amazing and fun and kept everyone going. We honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about The Eagles Nest we can’t wait to spend our anniversaries there to eat the delicious food again (although I doubt we’ll wait a year to go back). If anyone wants to have a wedding in the Hudson Valley you don’t have to look any further.
Eagle's Nest catered our garden party themed wedding this August. We have had dinner and drinks during their restaurant hours and my bridal shower was held there so we knew everything was going to be fantastic.
Even with high expectations, we were completely blown away by the care and attention to detail they provided on our wedding day (and the months leading up to it!)
Corey worked with us to create a menu with plant-based options, helped us to plan the layout for our reception and ceremony, reviewed our rental list to make sure we had everything we needed for an off-site event, and was a patient sounding board for all things wedding.
On the day of, he checked in with our family, coordinated with the vendors, and made sure we had everything we needed without us ever needing to ask.
Corey and The Eagle's Nest team are warm and friendly professionals that go above and beyond to make sure your day is special and runs as smoothly as possible. Our wedding felt like a dream and so much of that is owed to you guys. Thank you!!
We recently had our wedding at the Eagle's Nest and everything was absolutely AMAZING!!! They were very attentive to our needs, detail oriented, and very accommodating. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Corey was extremely patient with all of my questions and the wedding wouldn't have been perfect if Bobby wasn't there. Both Corey & Bobby stepped in when they saw an issue, addressed it immediately, and ensured I was happy with the final result. That wasn't their job and they didn't have to help with half the things they did, but that is also why they are #1 in our book. They have gone far above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. They are nothing short of miracle workers and we truly appreciate everybody did to make our special day a memorable one!!! Thank you all again for everything!
Our honest review...Our wedding was magical! Corey, Bobby and the entire staff made our night perfect. We felt like celebrities! Our families are in the decorating business and created many pieces for the wedding, Corey placed and arranged everything perfectly!
The food, views and atmosphere was beautiful! They go above and beyond with cocktail hour, dinner and dessert.
We must have recieved 100 calls the next day from family and friends telling us how much they loved it!! Thank You for hosting the best night of our lives! We will be recommending you to everyone we know!
The Eagles Nest was Fantastic! They really know what they are doing when it comes to making your big day perfect. The Eagles Nest is organized and so easy to work with. Their food is fantastic and so are their desserts. The will make what ever accommodation they can to make sure that you are happy on your wedding day! The Eagles Nest is a all in one venue. They have a ceremony space, a backup just in case of rain, a Day of coordinator, place to stay over night, fire pit and makes the cake on site. Leading up to the wedding day I was told that I will not have time to eat and enjoy the food, but the Eagles Nest made sure that we had plenty of food. There was always servers coming to me or my groom asking us if we needed anything, bringing us food and drinks when ever we wanted. On top of the amazing service, the view is stunning! If you want a beautiful mountain view look no further! I could just go on and on about how wonderful The Eagles Nest really is! I do not think we would be able to find any better place then The Eagles Nest to host our wedding. There is a very good reason why The Eagles Nest won the best wedding venue in the Hudson Valley three years in a row! Thank you so much Eagles Nest for making our day go so smoothly and perfectly! You are all the best!
Michael and his whole team did everything they could to make our day, and weekend special, despite the bad weather. We had our rehearsal dinner Friday night and wedding on Saturday and stayed in the cabins the whole weekend. We could not have asked for better service, and I think if they had a way to hold off the rain and fog they would have too. They even made sure that the wedding arch my husband made was brought inside for the ceremony and then moved to over our table for the reception. The food was excellent, the cocktail hour hors d’ourves just kept coming, and the desserts were delicious.
We had our wedding in July 2017 at The Eagle's Nest.
The location and scenery here is absolutely gorgeous!
The staff are phenomenal, everyone is very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, they made sure that everything ran smoothly. (special thank you to Raymond, Dolly & Bobby - you guys are fab!) The food is excellent and our wedding cake was to die for! Our guests all had a fabulous time and we will definitely be back for dinner next time we are in town!
I have to be honest, I wasn’t thrilled by their website (Sorry Michael!), but when we drove up there to meet with Michael for the first time, the view is what sold me at first! Then we met Michael and he took the time to listen to what we wanted and made suggestions on how to make our day as special as it ended up becoming. A huge thank you to Michael, Bobby, Dolly, and the entire staff at The Eagle’s Nest who gave us and each of our guests such personalized attention. The day was absolutely perfect even down to the After Party that ran until 12:45am (Sorry Bobby!) and the breakfast the morning after. We had such a fun and relaxed atmosphere and it was everything I could have wanted and more! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I told my mom I wanted to be married on a mountain and boy did she deliver. She found the eagles nest through recommendation of other people in the area, to begin with the eagles nest is in fact beautiful, I was married on a clear day and you could see a view that seemed to go on forever. The eagles nest was great as they had a ready to go back up plan just in case the weather was poor, i was confident that rain or shine my wedding would go off without a hitch. Secondly, the food was amazing. I have a gluten allergy and It was important to me that I be able to enjoy most of the food at my wedding. They were so accommodating with my allergy, even making me a special gluten free plate to enjoy during the cocktail hour. My wedding cake was gluten free as well. The Maitre d was fantastic, he helped with everything from getting me to the isle with my long train to making sure my drink never got warm. Eagles nest made sure they had some of my favorite cider available during my wedding for me. They also have rooms available for people to rent after the reception which was fantastic as the night continued even after my reception was over. We utilized the smores pit which was a hit with my overnight guests, they included breakfast the next day as well. The bar stayed open through the night and many of my guests took advantage of that. The staff was professional and friendly and my wedding was truly perfect. I am so grateful to Michael and his staff at The Eagle's Nest, I highly recommend them as they are affordable, beautiful, professional and everything you could ask for in a venue for a wedding. I was also able to find most of my vendors through his recommendations list and they were truly fantastic as well. I am so appreciative :)
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Eagle’s Nest this past summer, and it was the best wedding reception we’ve ever been to (though we may be a little biased :)). The view at the Eagle’s Nest from the Shawangunk Mountains into the valley is beautiful, and was a perfect showcase to our out of town guests of one of the things we most love about New York/the Hudson Valley. So many guests commented on the view. Moreover, the entire Eagle’s Nest staff is awesome, professional, friendly, and so easy to work with. Michael the owner, Michael the pastry chef, and Bobby the maitre d’ are easy going but very organized and superb at what they do, and the were all so attentive to our vision for the reception and ensuring that everything ran completely smoothly (which it did!). And of course we cannot fail to mention how delicious the food was- appetizers, main course, and desserts. We continue to hear from our guests that it was the best food they’ve ever had at an event. Thank you to everyone at the Eagle’s Nest for such an amazing reception!
We didn't have our wedding at their venue, but we had them cater our wedding at Benmarl Winery and they hit an out-of-the-park-homerun!! The guests are still talking about marvelous the food was!! The cocktail hour food was available through the beginning part of dinner for people to still munch on and that was a hit! The entrees were delicious and the hospitality was unbelievable :) The owner of the winery commented that these caterers were one of the most respectful, professional, and kind people who have worked at the winery. They did all of the set up and breakdown in record time. The Maitre D, Corey, did such an outstanding job making sure that everything happened on time and my husband and I always had a drink in hand and actually got to eat!! He was amazing. You cannot go wrong with The Eagles Nest.
We are so so happy we chose to have our wedding ceremony and reception at Eagles Nest! The scenery was beautiful, the food was delicious, and everyone was so so so helpful! We especially enjoyed working with Ishwar and Amy! All our family and friends are still talking about how great the crab cakes were and about how beautiful the backdrop was.
Michael, Bobby, and the entire staff at The Eagle's Nest were AMAZING! Every detail was carried out with perfection! Cocktail hour was to die for. Dinner was delicious. We have received so many compliments about our wedding because of their professional and courteous business. Our day would not have been the same anywhere else. Thank you Michael and staff!
These guys do it right. The view is great, but the wedding and reception were perfect. They obviously know their stuff and want to make sure things go wonderfully. Things I never even thought of became integral parts of the wedding. Every detail is addressed. Then the day came and it worked beautifully, EVERYONE had a blast, and it went off without a hitch. It had a rustic feel that worked great for us. And the food.... oh, the food....
I can't Eagle's Nest recommend enough. The bride's family is huge and goes to a lot of weddings, so they have a good frame of reference. And the ALL had a wonderful time. Thanks!
We cannot say enough good things about our wedding at The Eagles Nest!! From the planning with Michael, the attentiveness and help of Dolly, and of course Bobby who took such great care of all of us and made sure everyone got to bed safe at the end of the night. Can't leave out the gorgeous view that our guests can't stop marveling over, and the fire pit was the perfect after party to carry the party long into the night. We highly recommend this venue to anyone having their wedding in the area!
Made for a seamless day
My wedding was held at Eagle's Nest in May 2015, and I couldn't be happier. Michael and his staff are consummate professionals from start to finish.
Michael served as an impromptu wedding planner in a few ways as part of his deal. He provided us with a list of vendors he has worked with in the past and recommended. He himself booked our hotel buses for us, after giving timing suggestions. He also set up bringing in ice cream from Blueberry Mountain for dessert. The day of the event, his staff did all of the set-up, including decorating our chuppah with 1,000 paper cranes I had made and strung for that purpose.
The food was exquisite. This was a big deal for me because I have a LOT of food allergies. Michael worked with me to create a delicious menu, and whenever his normal recipe wouldn't suit me, he came up with options. I expected to be able to eat about 1/4 of our hors d'oeuvres, only to find a plate in the bridal room with half of the remainder specially prepared for me! Outside of my personal issues, everything was absolutely delicious. My own food was amazing, and I heard many of our guests complimenting it as well. They also stock very nice wine and liquor, and were willing to take brand requests for our bar.
The service throughout the wedding was immaculate. The maitre d' served as a general master of ceremonies and kept everything running smoothly, from timing entries through finding a bridesmaid to help me when my dress got rumpled. All of the waitstaff is polite and accommodating, and basically anything else you could hope for from professional meal service.
Of course, a big thing is the location - they have beautiful grounds. And brides, don't despair if you get stormy weather. We ended up with a rainstorm and heavy fog, and the fog made the area look completely magical. Michael was able to leave the inside/outside decision til the last minute, and the indoor setup worked beautifully.
If I had to make one complaint - the cabin rooms on-site need some updates. He includes one with a wedding booking for the wedding night, but when I looked, it was rather dark and dank (even on a nice day). We ended up staying with our guests that night. This is a very small issue compared to the rest of the amazing experience though.
I would absolutely recommend Eagle's Nest to anyone for a wedding, or any other major event. These people are professionals.
the view is breathtaking if you are in to the mountains. everything went according to schedule but dinner. Dinner took a long time but everyone said they had a great time and the pictures will be beautiful.
Food is very important to our family, and the Eagle's Nest was the perfect choice for us. We're especially happy that we didn't miss cocktail hour because the choices included so many of our favorites. The staff was incredibly personable, the room was set up better than we had even anticipated, and we were well directed/taken care of all night. The beautiful view and setting intertwined very well with our nature theme. This is definitely a place to look in to!
The pictures on the website do not do this venue justice. I highly recommend just going there and seeing for yourself - you will be sold immediately on the views! The staff was kind, friendly and made everything easy. I needed to have a Kosher wedding that wouldn't break the bank and Michael and his team made it all happen right there. A real bang for your buck for the perfect country wedding with panoramic views of the hudson valley! Could not say enough good things about the Eagle's Nest.
Everyone is wonderful, food, view, staff, all perfect. Cabins make it easy.
I recently had my wedding at The Eagle's Nest and they did an amazing job. From the second I walked in there to get ready, until the time I left after breakfast the next morning, I felt like royalty. They took care of us, made sure we had everything we needed, and if any of us requested something, it was to us in a matter of minutes. The view there is beautiful, and Michael, the owner, ensures that it carries over from outside, to the inside. They made my day perfect!
The Eagle's Nest offered approximately 40 choices for cocktail hour (we chose a package with 16 hors d'vours where most local venues only offered 4-6). The cake was included in the package. The baker on the premise was phenominal! All we had to do was show a picture of what we wanted and we got it to a 'T'! Michael (the owner) is amazing to work with. He's been in the business for years and makes you feel completely comfortable. He also gave us a free dinner for 6 so we could choose our menu and see how the staff worked. The bar doesn't close until everyone is done drinking. The open bar closes when your wedding ends, but it reopens as a cash bar for overnight guests. Parties have lasted at the Eagle's Nest until the wee hours of the morning. The wedding couple stays in the honeymoon suite for free the night of the wedding. There is a fabulous view for pictures and a porch for outdoor weddings/cocktails (we did that and it was PERFECT).;The guest rooms are a bit outdated if anyone is staying over. The honeymoon suite isn't romantic at all (I remember it looked like my grandparents room). The guest cottages have wood panneling and are very dark inside. I told my guests before hand that they're a great place to stay if you plan on drinking but I felt a bit awkward having my young cousins stay in the rooms.
Beautiful views great service excellent food awesome dessert
