d offered different packages that fit what we needed. She recommended a lot of the vendors we ended up using and offered to arrange calls and meetings since we were outside of Boone in Charlotte. She even recommended rehearsal dinner locations, helped us determine color schemes/tablecloths, and reviewed quotes/orders to ensure I hadn’t forgotten anything. She helped coordinate our rehearsal and her team set-up everything beautifully for our wedding! When I walked into the reception space it was just as I had imagined! They took special care of my sentimental decorations and were so attentive throughout the night - I never even had to go to the bar. They brought us appetizers during photos, made us a plate and ensured everyone had a great time. I can highly recommend Megan and her staff for your future wedding or event!

Ordinarily, I'm a really Type A person with issues giving other people control (lol) but Megan and her team made it so easy for me to just relax and enjoy the day! People always say that your wedding day goes by in a blur, but I think that's only true if you don't have a rockstar coordination team. My husband and our families had such an amazing day being able to just be in the moment, while Megan's team worked behind the scenes to make sure everything went flawlessly! Even with rain throwing a wrench in things, TEE took control and kept things on track. I can't say enough wonderful things about this team and their work!

hroughout the day. I found myself and my husband having to go find the two coordinators in the bridal suite on more than one occasion during the night. They were not aware of how terrible dinner service was going. Dinner was running more than 45 mins late and no one was having their drinks attended to. Several of the details like turning on the music after the toasts were not done. Overall I was left very disappointed. I would worry about having anyone other than Megan support your event. Megan is terrific but I have no confidence in her team.

Our wedding venue was near Boone, NC but we had to plan our big day all the way from Boston, MA. This process was seamless thanks to Megan! You guys, her knowledge, professionalism, reliability and down-to-earth nature are everything you need in an excellent wedding planner. Megan will go above and beyond for you! That’s just who she is. Days after giving birth to her beautiful baby girl, she was at our rehearsal to make sure everything went smoothly. Can you believe that? On our big day, the day-of-coordinators, Liz and Lara, were phenomenal! They took such good care of us – physically and emotionally! They handled all the little details and were in ongoing communication with our vendor team. We did not have to worry about a single thing and had the time of our lives! Charlie’s Angels have nothing on them! Absolute dream team! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, ladies! ☺

She was a huge help in decision making along the way, even facetiming my mom and I from vendors so we could see products before making a decision! While we would have hoped for better organization in the months leading up to our wedding, she ultimately did an amazing job with our wedding! My favorite thing she does is her packet of info and timeline for the wedding weekend that is sent to all vendors and important people in the wedding- it just gets everyone on the same page (literally!) and was a huge help. She is also very pro-bride, offering to go to bat for the bride's vision with anyone the day of who might be causing problems. I would HIGHLY recommend this fantastic woman and her company to any bride planning a wedding in the high country!

n't have thought about that were pertinent to the process. Megan and her assistant, Liz, did a fantastic job keeping me calm during the wedding day, especially before the walk with my dad. The weather was threatening for the sky to open and pour rain so we had to move up our timeframe as it was an outdoor wedding. Nerves and the weather were making me a wreck, but Liz helped calm me, fluffed my dress, made sure I had my bouquet and was ready. Megan led me and the bridal party through the rest of the wedding day and definitely allowed me the time to relax and enjoy it with the people I love and cherish the most. I didn't need any of my lists or timelines. She kept me on track but in a way that allowed me freedom and choice. Huge thank you to her. She is truly amazing. Everyone enjoyed the wedding and my parents were very happy, too.

We actually had to move up our entire wedding in one day due to a hurricane in our area. Megan took care of everything while remaining so calm and efficient! She called all of our vendors for us and made sure everyone was on board with the new plan. Megan and her team were a joy to work with and so professional. She was very thorough and all of her wedding documents kept us really organized. Highly recommend!

hey dreamed it would be. We contracted with Megan for the Partial Wedding Planning package and it was perfect! Her recommendations for potential vendors to interview and consider were spot on. In particular, she did a superior job of matching us with spectacular photographer, florist, caterer/cake maker, and DJ, and wedding officiant. The combination of these vendors, along with Megan's direction and expertise brought the wedding of Hannah and Dylan's dreams to life. She clearly listened to Hannah's ideas, visions, and dreams, and gave her the direction and help needed to make it happen. Megan is very responsive and timely in answering questions, and easing concerns and doubts throughout the process. None of the bridal party, or family had to lift a finger the day of the wedding. Everything was done for us and it was seamless and looked spectacular. We have a couple of friends that have kids getting married in the next year, and my advice to them is to hire a wedding coordinator, and if its in the High Country, it must definitely be Megan Drake and The Elegant Event!
