The Ellis in Italian Village

ho was extremely helpful with answering our questions, was quick to respond and was very kind and supportive throughout the planning process. Our day-of coordinator was Jenna, who we cannot say enough great things about! From the drop off throughout our entire wedding day, she was kind and extremely attentive. She helped us with every minor hiccup and made the day run so smoothly. Even when we had anxiety about timing, she walked us through it and helped keep everyone calm. She even was grabbing us signature drinks before the cocktail hour. She was communicative and adapted to every situation with ease (even a shattered glass was cleaned up in 20 seconds or less). We can truly say that Jenna went above and beyond what we ever would have expected, and we are so incredibly grateful for everything that she did! We also had an excellent experience with all the other vendors at The Ellis, including Fiori Florals, Alice’s Piece of Cake and D & M Entertainment (DJ). Our DJ Jay was fantastic- he always gave us a heads up on timing and kept us in the loop. Also, he kept the dance floor going all night long, which was something important to us, and played a great mix of songs for everyone in attendance. He was truly wonderful to work with and incredibly kind- we would have him again in a heartbeat. Our family and friends could not say enough great things about The Ellis- there were compliments on the beauty of the venue, the gorgeous table set-ups, the bar/bar tenders (nice and efficient, great-tasting and flexible with drinks), the food and service and the cocktail hour. Not only were we so impressed, but everyone at our wedding was also. I honestly could go on and on, but if you are even thinking about booking this venue do it- we had the best, stress free experience and are so grateful for everyone who made our day perfect. The Ellis deserves every five star rating it gets.

odel. All of our guests raved about the food, the florals, the music. So many people told us it was the nicest wedding they’d ever been to. We actually moved our desired date from October 2024 to May 2025 just to get a spot here & and we’re so glad we did! The staff was so kind, responsive, & helpful throughout our entire 1.5 year engagement (shoutout Charis you are the queen of fast emails, & Jenna you rocked day of!). Even though we sourced our own photographer & officiant, The Ellis team offered support at every step & probably had awesome recommendations as well. A few things that stood out: * It rained all day, but their indoor spaces are stunning & photographed beautifully for family photos, couple photos, and first look! (even the bathrooms, no joke). We didn't need to step foot outside! * The catering was a guest favorite. We were able to offer three meal choices to everyone, including an incredible vegan option, which was super important to us! * The ceremony & rehearsal were run flawlessly. Dominic was awesome & handled everything from aisle timing, to ring-placing-techniques, to dress fluffing like an absolute pro. * We dropped everything off at rehearsal & the team handled full setup, including some last-minute decor & signage we didn’t have until day-of. Vendor coordination was seamless since most are Ellis’s provided partners. We only had to coordinate with our officiant & photographer, which was super easy. A quick vendor shoutout: * Fiori: Beautiful centerpieces included. We added (for an additional cost) bouquets, boutonnieres & an arch - which were all perfect (although I forgot to bring enough home for my full floral preservation... 1/5 stars to the bride on planning haha) * D&M: Great DJ! Super easy to work with. We added the lighting package, which helped meet our minimum, but probably wouldn’t have otherwise. * Alice’s Piece of Cake: So good, & so many fun flavor choices. Real vegan dessert options (no fruit cups here - cupcakes!) & a boxed top tier (that we... accidentally left in our Airbnb fridge, & were unsuccessful in recovering. 1/5 stars for the newlyweds there) The only thing we’d reconsider was our photo booth placement. One of the suggested spots was near the “Better Together” sign. It sounded cute, but the light ended up washing out the photos. We had a lot of guests reach out afterward to say they were disappointed their pics didn’t turn out. Totally on us for not taking a test shot, & I’m sure the Ellis would have moved it immediately had we asked. Guests who took photos by the moss wall near the card table had awesome pics, & I would totally suggest future couples consider that area instead if you choose the photo booth. We felt so stress-free the entire day. Everything looked perfect. Guests flew in from all over the country & it felt amazing to show off a venue this beautiful right in our home city, & in such a great location. We would absolutely choose the Ellis again if we had to do it all over!

We were planning our wedding from Florida and he made every step super straightforward, and he helped ensure we knew every detail along the way. On the day of the wedding he was super flexible in moving some things around once dancing started; he even drove to our hotel to drop off our cake which we left behind. Michael alone gets a 10 star out of 5 stars :) In addition, the FOOD! I cannot describe how good the prime rib was, and the Nashville hot chicken skewers. The Cake was also phenomenal. Fiori Florals nailed it with all of the table flowers and ceremony floor florals! The DJ (Kurt) was the icing on top of everything! He helped cater our crazy music taste and kept everybody on the dancefloor the entire time! 10/10 Would get married here again :)

of the wedding day, the Ellis staff (particularly our coordinator, Charis), were fantastic to work with. Everyone we interacted with through the Ellis was friendly, calm, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. We often asked Charis or the associated vendors what they typically recommend when we were making decisions and their tips really made for a a perfect day. As two working professionals, the all-inclusive nature of the venue was the big selling point; and it was really worth it. I liked the convenience of all the vendors already being set up for us (catering, cake, flowers, DJ, etc.), but am happy to say I don't think we could have found better vendors if we tried. Our food was fantastic, which many of our guests commented on. Our cake was DELICIOUS, and I'm typically not even a big fan of cake. The flowers and center pieces were absolutely beautiful, more than I could have envisioned. Our DJ, Kurt, was fantastic and nailed our timeline while also being flexible on the fly to small adjustments. The venue is in a fantastic location and was a beautiful setting for the big day. Our many out-of-town guests commented on how much they liked the area around the venue. Our photos look fantastic with the backdrop of the courtyard and the brick walls inside. It was the perfect size for a medium-sized wedding.

Basically everything (floral, alcohol, catering, DJ, cake) was through the venue and was high quality stuff so we didn't need to seek out any kind of outside vendors and we mostly just needed to choose what we liked. It was beautiful and really low stress and I cannot imagine a better venue or a better experience. The photographs were beautiful at the venue and everyone had a great time. Can't recommend more highly.

She had answers for everything and gave advice anywhere I needed it. Wedding day went SO smoothly and I know a lot of that is because of her. On the rare occasion that I had a moment of panic about something or didn’t know what to do, Charis solved it immediately. We got so many compliments on the venue - it is beautiful! It provides the perfect backdrop with just enough character to be able to create your own vibe with decorations, florals, etc. Our guests loved being able to pop outside to the courtyard, and the Ellis Lofts right across the parking lot are so convenient! Long story short, if you’re thinking about booking The Ellis, do it!!!

All of our guests raved about the setup of the venue, the fantastic DJ, bar team's friendliness all night, and the service crew being VERY attentive while moving stealthily through the space all night. Everyone seems to be on the same page there, with similar work ethics, and it shows when it's game time. Grateful to everyone for making our day so special and flawless. Even when it felt "stressful" in the months leading up, much of it was quelled quickly thanks to Charis' assistance. 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for an all-in-one package without a lot of heavy lifting, but the ability to make your night feel unique to you.

Me and my wife had quite a few things we knew we wanted incorporated in our wedding but not sure what to do them. Let’s just say they nailed every part of our decor with the extras we provided to them and made it all very special. From our colors to the setup it was perfect, just beautiful. Even the food, not your typical wedding food all super delicious. We chose the platinum package, again just do it. We had a surf & turf option as well as a Mediterranean stuffed chicken which our guest are all still raving about how good both were. The strawberry bruschetta appetizer, make it 1 of your choices period. We had a guest that loved it so much literally went home and made it 2 days later. The staff literally made the day go seamlessly for us, especially Charis, she definitely has a passion for this and knows what she is doing. From coordinating to making sure things flow along but also taking the time out to keep you calm, helping you anyway possible. We even had a matron of honors dress strap rip and in an emergency situation calm and all Charis sewed that strap so quick while standing no one even noticed a thing. From bringing us out drinks or appetizers during pictures to make sure we didn’t miss them. You can honestly tell that she puts pure love in making sure your special day is just as you want it to be. I literally could go on and on about this all inclusive venue, it’s absolutely gorgeous inside and out, the staff are all so helpful and welcoming and warm. The attention to detail from everyone involved was amazing and created a beautiful wedding for us, and for that we are so grateful. thly. We didn't have to worry about finding each individual vendor, coordinating with them on start time, or tear down. Additionally, all the provided vendors were amazing! Charis, the venue coordinator, is amazing as well! The venue is also beautiful. We truly felt like our day was PERFECT and exceeded every expectation! The only downside to this venue in my opinion is that they say they can fit 175 but that doesn't leave room for a dance floor. You would have to tear down dinner tables to have that large of a group. We had 135 and it was the perfect size!

hio. We drove up and the Ellis was the first venue we toured. We fell in love with it, so much so that we cancelled the rest of our tours. One of the greatest selling points was that most of our vendors were included. It cut out multiple trips to Columbus and made the planning process much easier for us. Throughout the roughly 20 month planning process, Sabrina, our coordinator, helped everything go smoothly. Along the way, she ironed out the planning and told us exactly what was needed. She always made us feel welcome when we met with her at the venue and was very, very easy to contact and deal with our hundreds of questions as we entered panic mode. There are also Airbnbs literally across the parking lot. Most of our wedding party stayed here for the weekend so everything from hanging with the groomsmen the night before the event to getting ready to getting home safely after was very easy. All of the included vendors were wonderful as well. We truly could not have asked for a better experience along the way. It was simple and far exceeded both of our expectations. Not to mention the venue looked absolutely beautiful on our wedding night. Multiple guests complimented the venue, the food, the staff and the experience. We are so glad we found the Ellis and would absolutely recommend to anyone!
