was such a blessing to have such a seasoned wedding professional to guide us along our wedding planning journey. Dalia provided helpful tips, checklists, and gentle reminders for important milestones (e.g., ordering wedding invitations). She also had many excellent recommendations for vendors, ordering save-the-dates and wedding invitations, and ideal day-of-timelines.
My now husband said that Dalia was great and that he was grateful that she helped take the stress out of our special day. Side note, my husband initially didn’t think we needed a wedding planner because I’m “really organized.” After the wedding, he saw why getting a wedding planner was absolutely necessary, even for an organized bride like me.

a different venue. Once our wedding was approaching the venue couldn’t accommodate us so we had to find a new reception site a month before our wedding! With Dalia’s assistance and assurance we were able to change our wedding venue and still have a beautifully designed and detailed wedding. During the wedding planning we felt that Dalia was there every step of the planning. We had a wonderful experience using Dalia from The Event Planner. My husband and I were able to enjoy our wedding day from beginning to end, without worrying about any of the details!
Here are just some of the things Dalia was able to handle ...

1. Invitations - that everybody raved about because they were so beautiful!
2. An amazing 8 ft tall acrylic seating chart - still in love with that thing.
3. Attending our rehearsal and keeping everyone apprised of what to do and when.
4. Setting out hash tag signs/welcome sign/napkins/place cards/bathroom amenities/etc at the wedding reception.
The list goes on! But most of all, as a bride, I really appreciated her kindness, attention to detail, and support on our wedding day. She was always nearby and ready to offer assistance. I wouldn't change a thing!!

ur reception venue that had very specific rules/regulations that we had to follow since it was a historic building. It was calming to know that someone else was working with me coordinating the logistics. Second, I wanted a wedding planner that could provide vendor recommendations based on the style and type of wedding my daughter wanted. Her expertise and relationships with vendors did not disappoint. She did a fantastic job connecting us with caterers that were in our price range, a photographer that was casual enough to make the groom feel relaxed but still professional, a rental company that was cost efficient, and a DJ service that kept people on the dance floor the entire night. Most importantly, she allowed us to DIY the parts that we wanted to without passing judgements if we didn't use a vendor she recommended. For instance, we loved the florist she suggested, but in the end, my daughter preferred to use flowers from a local, organic farm. It appears that Dalia can work with all types of brides. Her questionnaires and informational material showed that she is probably used to dealing with extremely detailed brides. However, my daughter was a very informal, low maintenance bride and Dalia was able to "dial it down" and help give my daughter the wedding of her dreams! Will look to hire her again for 2nd daughter!

elt like assistance was needed so I didn’t lose my mind. I spoke to a few planners on the phone before hiring Dalia. All nice, but the difference about Dalia was her experience and confidence that we could make everything happen “no problem.” One planner I spoke to honestly stressed me out and made me worry that we wouldn’t have enough time. Not Dalia. She was calming, helpful and also flexible with her planning packages. I ended up with a partial planning package that was perfect for me, Over the course of our wedding planning, Dalia was always prompt with email responses and always helpful. There were a number of things I wanted to handle on my own, but for everything else Dalia was there. The last few weeks before the wedding Dalia was vital to me keeping my sanity and just helping with last minute items. Forgot to have sign printed? Send it to Dalia, she’ll take care of it. Things like that. The day of, our wedding was seamless. I didn’t have to worry about managing different vendors because Dalia and her assistant handled everything. I just enjoyed my day and didn’t worry about a thing. I didn’t worry if the DJ was there or the flowers or what, she had it all under control. It was a pleasure working with Dalia, I highly recommend her.

We ordered our invites through Dalia as well...it was so easy and she made sure to show us and suggest invites that were in the style we described to her and within the budget we gave her. I loved our invites!!
She stayed in contact with our vendors and confirmed details in advance to make sure everything went smoothly the day of the wedding...and it did! She even helped get my dress bustled...and the dress had A LOT of bustles to connect! It was not easy, but she helped get it done quickly and properly and made sure the whole day/night went as planned and on schedule. If there were any issues, we were not made aware of them...we had a wonderful time at our reception and received praises from all of our guests! seating without my having to do more than just tell her names - this was so helpful. Though we did not hire them to help with vendor selection, the team still informed us of a terrible vendor we had initially picked for limo services and we chose someone else on their recommendation - this turned out to be very useful. They also helped vet other vendors though this was not in our contract and we ended up using everyone they suggested. All of these suggested vendors were professional and really easy to work with.
Dalia was organized and kept well in touch with us during the planning process. She and her team were so professional and seamless in talking with our vendors. It was just the most helpful to have them on our side!!! They are the BEST and we are thankful we were able to have them help us!

Because it was our first time planning a major event, let alone planning a wedding, Dalia was exceedingly helpful and accessible at all hours to give advice, make decisions, and make calls on our behalf. She is extremely organized -- she'll provide you a customized timeline that takes into account your own schedules and is always accommodating to OUR time. She's also incredibly honest and she won't sugarcoat pricing, her opinion of vendors, and what is doable for your budget. We hired a coordinator for the day-of who was horrible. The coordinator messed up the seating chart which delayed the start of our party. Dalia took over, without even needing to be asked, and fixed everything. In just 15-20 minutes she got everyone seated, organized the bridal party, and got the party going. On top of all of that, Dalia is such a sweetheart. She made us each a list of emergency items and had everything ready on-hand for contingency planning. You absolutely WILL NOT regret going with her. sics of selecting a venue and sharing ideas for decor. Not only did we discuss the main features, but she also connected us with all of the vendors that eventually brought our wedding vision to life!
Dalia had a lot to offer herself which was a bonus!!! She had a nice selection of invitations to choose from and she was extremely patient through all of the revisions and proofs. She was very tech-savvy which really helped me along the way. I worked so hard on my seating/guest list to accommodate approximately 750 guests. Once I realized that Dalia had the right tools at her fingertips, this really simplified time.
Dalia provided me with a large amount of example sheets and tracking forms to refer back to. A budget tracker was included to automatically calculate our spendings. There were also example sheets for my invitations and seating chart which helped me store all my guest information. She even forwarded me church and state information. By the time our wedding month arrived, I already had all the mandatory state and church paperwork handy and any further documents and deadlines that I needed leading up to the wedding day. Thankfully Dalia had addressed those things early on so I wouldn’t forget.
Nothing that was mentioned in our first meeting was forgotten. Everything was reintroduced and revised moving forward. With Dalia’s help, I was able to emphasize the details that mattered without getting carried away with anything that wouldn’t stand out. Dalia also helped us bring certain costs down so that we were still able to have the most while spending the least. I was surprised to see monthly follow-ups and reminders about things that I had completely forgotten about. Dalia kindly confirmed with each vendor so that I didn’t have to and she created a wedding timeline that included a detailed schedule of the ceremony/reception times, cocktail hour, dinner time, first dance, etc. Each of her staff members was stocked with the schedule as well as the guest lists and handled any seating or guest issues. They made sure that the venue and vendors did abide by the schedule and the whole night was a complete success! From the venue, to the decor, to the dinner, to the entertainment— we were very pleased with everything!! My husband and I and both of our families received endless compliments from our guests on the coordinating services. Everyone was very impressed by Dalia and her staff and their outstanding service and professional approach to everything! We were very honored to work with such a talented and professional team and we are so grateful to Dalia for this wonderful experience!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I would like to clarify that we do work with St. Thomas and assist bridal parties in understanding their roles and placement for wedding ceremonies. Simply put, we make sure the bride, groom, their bridal party and family members know where to be at what point in time during the ceremony which is why it's important everyone is present at the rehearsal and your reader wasn't nor was he even present at the ceremony before it began, clergy and I couldn't find him but we had a plan B in case he is a no-show.
As far as the language spoken during your ceremony. To clarify as stated before that is not within my duties as a ceremonial coordinator we take your request at the rehearsal to re-iterate it to the clergy and St. Thomas is not a 100% English speaking church and it was disclosed to you at the rehearsal that there will be prayers in such in the other language as it is not an all English speaking church.
Our company has been coordinating weddings for 17 years and have never had any issues with ensuring a ceremony was properly facilitated. Every person involved in a wedding ceremony has different roles since there are so many moving parts, it's not humanly possible to be in all places and a coordinator can't be on the altar facilitating the ceremony that's the job of the clergy.

Once again, I apologize on Behalf of Fr. Anthony and St. Thomas clergy as well as myself. To clarify most churches have a coordinator that handles the rehearsals and ceremonies. Having a coordinator to assist at the rehearsal and ceremony is optional. So to clarify I am the coordinator not the planner at the ceremonies at St. Thomas, I am not present when couples book the church, meet with the priest and go over the details I am just the church coordinator helping with the bridal party organization and assist at St. Thomas. My job along with other assistants that help me when I am not available is to orchestrate the rehearsal and coordinate the processional on the wedding day. There are over 200 weddings that take place at the church which means between the ceremony and rehearsals that's 400 days of weddings to cover and unfortunately one person can't handle all that alone. As mentioned, I take the requests at the rehearsal and provide them to the clergy members presiding the ceremony. I wouldn't call what happened on the alter a mishap as it's a sacrament that you are receiving. We aren't the ones presiding your ceremony we are in the back of the church sending up the couple. The clergy have books that are used for every wedding that has all the prayers that they need for the sacrament. There are 4 readings on the form that are read at the ceremony. All the readings are on the same form as they are a paragraph each and the clergy members have their own special books which has all the readings on there and that's how he read the wrong reading, the same form I use for the rehearsal is what is given to them. We go over the entire form right before the ceremony begins to be sure they have the information. I answer any questions they have and then I have to go to the back of the church to do the processional. If I had magical powers to control the situation I would have, but its humanly not possible. The couples that get married at St. Thomas understand that it's a Chaldean Church and they are Chaldean priests that handle the ceremony. They accept when the prayers are not said in the language they would prefer since they understand each priest is different. I am not told when a priest doesn't show up as it can happen minutes before the ceremony-we never have a guarantee on one specific priests because of situations such as this. There are a total of 3 priests that are part of St. Thomas and one will at least always be there, including non ENGLISH speaking priests that Chaldean is their first language (which was in your case because Fr. Anthony had to preside a wedding out state last minute) and correct because of your reasonable frustrations beyond our control and NOT due to my negligence because we can not control the priests presiding as they are the ones giving the sacrament while we are sending up the bridal party down the aisle we will disclose that the languages spoken at the ceremony will be on a priest basis and now I remind couples that what happens on the alter is not what we can control as coordinators. Once again I'm sorry about what happened and I hope you understand that this isn't my fault and I am happy to speak to you about this to help you understand better as there are a lot of details that take place at a Chaldean wedding and yes there are times when things go wrong, unfortunately unpredictable things beyond our control. needed help with coordinating on the actual day of my wedding, Dalia was there whenever I needed her throughout all of the planning. She provided me with contact info for vendors and gave me advice on things she dealt with before (scheduling the day, timing of bridal dance, band questions, etc). She contacted all of my vendors beforehand and paid them for us after, which was helpful because we left for our honeymoon soon after the wedding. The information she gathered was utilized by her to confirm my arrangements with all my vendors a week before the wedding and ensure everything arrived to my venue the day of my wedding. The last few weeks of the wedding planning are the most stressful so this was very helpful. The day of her staff was friendly, attentive and made sure my guests were taken care of. n the day of the wedding that I didn't want myself or my family having to deal with. Day of coordinator is not the right term to use for these ladies because they go above and beyond.
Dalia was going over everything that was to happen on the wedding day from our very first meeting and didn't stop till after the big day was over. Although I already had my vendors booked, there were still things I had questions about that I didn't know who to turn to and Dalia was always there. She gave me advice from the client perspective and the guest perspective that I wouldn't have necessarily gotten by asking my vendors directly. She understood that I was the first person in my house to get married and that I was pretty much winging it. She was very prompt on returning phone calls, texts, and emails which I was especially grateful for during those, "oh my gosh i forgot something" moments. These moments will always happen no matter how thorough you try to be.
She took all of my vendors information, the florist, band, photo booth, photographer/videographer, cake, etc., and verified their schedule, and timing. She worked with me to make an itinerary for the entire day that involved what the bridal parties (bride and groom side) would be doing all day, what time they needed to arrive where, what time speeches were happening, what time dinner was, what time the bridal dances were, etc.. The itinerary also included the timing for everything happening with the various vendors. For instance, when my photographer was showing up to my house and to my husband's house, when the limo was arriving to pick us up and drop us off to the houses, church and venue. The address and timing for where we were taking pictures at after the ceremony. She just didn't leave anything out. It was beyond helpful.
Even though it rained on the day of the wedding and we couldn't take our pictures where we wanted, there was still another game-plan ready, thanks to her. By the time we arrived at the hall, Dalia, and her assistant, Farah, had everything under control and the couple minor issues (thank goodness) that occurred, they took care of swiftly. They kept us on time, on track, and found everyone that needed to be found (including myself when I walked out of the hall for a breather..haha :) ) Our wedding had almost 350 people, so for them to step in and handle all that, you know they have to be amazing. We couldn't be happier and truly can't say enough about their amazing service and genuine investment in making our wedding day everything we had hoped for!

We were standing in the church waiting for the bride and groom to walk over to give their floral gift to Mary - I noticed that the videographer had a camera in the way. I was so worried my girlfriend and her husband were going to trip or knock over the camera...but quietly and quickly Dalia walked very calmly down the side aisle, grabbed the camera, and ACTUALLY KEPT IT FILMING perfectly on the bride and groom.

rictly from reviews online. Dalia made everything run smoothly and exactly the way I wanted the entire day. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Dalia coordinated with all my vendors the week of the wedding to ensure all details were worked out. I was so busy that week of, that this was one less thing I had to worry about. All of my bridesmaids (and my picky mom!) commented on how amazing she was. My husband’s boutonniere snapped in half on the bus on the way to the reception, he texted Dalia and she was waiting with a new one when we arrived. My reception venue tried to change to the order of events that we had set minutes before my entrance, and Dalia took care of it to make sure I was happy. She also bustled my semi complicated train in like 2 mins! One thing that I found out about AFTER the wedding that Dalia just took care of: my sister (and MOH) forgot her written speech in her bag on a different floor than we were at and realized it about 2 minutes before it was her turn. Dalia literally ran and got it for her and no one had a clue (except my sister who avoided a freak out!). I also ordered my ceremony programs through Dalia and they were beautiful! I just sent her the info I wanted it in and she handled the placement and design. Dalia also helped run the rehearsal the night before and I was able to give her all décor (favors, menus, card box etc) and she made sure it was all perfect the next day. If you think you can handle all these little details the day of or that your wedding party can help you– that is true- but you, your family, and your bridal party being able to just enjoy the day is the way to go, so you NEED Dalia!!

Dalia helped me from the very beginning, shortly after my engagement, I was out of the country for a while, and we communicated via email. I told her what I was looking for in a venue, and the time of year, and day of week and she helped narrow it down to a few places, she sent me emails of possible venus, along with their availability and wedding packages, along with photos etc. She also set up meetings for me with each venue for when I returned, and with that information I was able to find the perfect venue on such a short notice.
Along the 8 month planning process, Dalia offered me suggestions for all the vendors I needed, set up meetings for me, and handled all of the correspondence. Dalia also offered creative suggests on how to make my wedding unforgettable, and she also helped with my seating chart which was a real Pain in the ***.
As any bride will find out, anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, and Dalia was there to handle any and all issues that I ran into during the planning process, taking the stress off of me and making my life that much easier. Closer to the day of the wedding I decided I would have Dalia, attend and coordinate the wedding, which is something I'm glad I did. She was at the venue early while all vendors were setting up, and stayed til the very end. She helped seat people, and she also helped make sure we stayed on schedule the day of. Had she not been there, we would have been way off of schedule, and the whole thing would have been a mess.
Dalia helped create a stress free environment for me during my planning process, and I can honestly say that without her, planning my wedding would have been a nightmare. She did not drop the ball once, and stayed on top of everything. She answered all of my calls and emails, and she let me know if she was ever going out of town or not going to be available. She is definitely an asset to have and I recommend her for any and all brides planning their wedding. I will definitely be using her for any major event I have in the future.
