My wedding reception (134 guests) was at The Farmhouse and not only were they outstanding to work with during the planning process, my guests afterwards can't stop complimenting the venue! I keep hearing that the food was fantastic, they loved the space and patio, and the service was perfect. We had Laura as our coordinator and she has been so helpful from beginning to end, always answering my questions, and going above and beyond with setting up and then helping us pack up. Their partner baker, Desserts By Dana, also had my guests frantically texting me the next day to ask where the cupcakes came from. There were a ton of beautiful spots to take photos, inside and out. The Farmhouse was affordable, transparent, communicative, and so attentive, it felt like we barely had to do any work!

My wedding was on 5/22/26 and it was the most magical day. It was a pretty rainy day, but there was a chance that we could still have the ceremony outside. The wedding coordinator, Anna, was incredibly flexible and helpful. I was stressed and disappointed about the rain because I dreamed of the perfect ceremony outside. She gave me room to think about what I wanted and was ready to change things around even if things were already set up inside for the ceremony. Anna was really helpful in the planning process and answered all of my silly/repetitive questions. Anna's composure was really helpful for my own stress and indecisiveness.
The venue itself is beautiful. The building and porch had such a cozy vibe to it that other venues don't possess. When me and my husband toured this place, we immediately knew that this would be the place we would want our wedding to be because of how much it felt like home. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, especially the willows.
The food was SO good. Everyone was raving about how good all the food was. I wish I had thought of asking for a box or something because I wasn't able to eat much with everything going on around me.
The service was also amazing. Anna was a great wedding coordinator, friendly and professional. The other staff that was serving was so attentive and made sure that me and the guests had what they needed.
I think the prices are phenomenal for everything that is included. I am so glad that I got married here and hopefully I'll get to come back for a baby shower or two in the future :)

We had a small wedding with a guest count of 30, and every guest complimented the venue space. The Farmhouse was absolutely beautiful! The indoor space was perfect for our ceremony. We held it indoors, as we weren't sure how the weather would be. However, we were able to get so many beautiful pictures in their outdoors space as well!
The food was delicious! Chef Derek did a fantastic job. We had so many compliments about it being the best wedding food guest have ever had and how everything was fresh and warm!
All of the servers and the bartender were extremely friendly as well!
I genuinely do not think the day could have gone any more perfect! I would recommend The Farmhouse to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

Everyone’s meals were hot and brought out in a timely manner following our first dance. Our guests complimented the taste and presentation all night and people are still mentioning it to us about it being the best wedding food they have had. Laura was super accommodating with us being over an hour away, always available to answer questions and calm my worries. She even understood my request to not sit and eat at a sweetheart table in front of everyone and put us tucked away to eat privately after our ceremony which helped my anxiety greatly. The things included in the package they offer are too good to pass up: complimentary stay at the Hilton, cake vendor included (which we were able to customize!), in house catering, among other things.
When I walked in to tour the venue before our big day I was stunned at how gorgeous everything was. I am a type A person so they did everything I asked for AND more! The staff cleaned up everything so fast too and made it super easy when the night was over. I will recommend the Farmhouse over and over to whoever is looking for a venue because of my amazing experience. Thank you so much again for being a stunning background for our big day!

On the day of the ceremony we had a minor mishap with the flowers, and thanks to Laura's quick thinking I don't think anyone even noticed. initial information and pricing. I received detailed answers within the same day to my questions and follow ups. When I toured the venue I was highly impressed by the space and the many options to hold the ceremony and reception. The outdoor space is beautiful and was great for pictures.
Throughout the process Katie and her team were incredible about answering all my questions and handled my guests food allergies with a level of flexibility that far exceeded my expectations. The wedding and reception was seamless. The staff provided clear instructions and helped us with everything we needed and along with foreseeing things we couldn’t. Their professionalism and service reduced the stress level of the entire wedding party and allowed us to focus on the moment rather than worrying about little details. The food was phenomenal and guests commented how friendly and attentive the staff is. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a smaller wedding.

utdoor ceremony site (which was a huge must for us) was absolutely gorgeous! The event planning staff Laura and Sam were extremely helpful and efficient. Laura knew all the right questions to ask to make sure that our day went as seamlessly as possible, asking questions I hadn’t even considered myself ensuring that everything would go perfectly - and it truly did!
We received many comments from our guests who absolutely loved the gorgeous ceremony site (describing it as magical) and all guests raved about the food! We are both foodies and The Farmhouse food was truly the best wedding food we’ve ever had.
The Farmhouse has a great partnership with Cakes by Kim and Christiana Hilton, which made planning all the better! Our guests loved the Hilton, and the complimentary shuttle is a must. Cakes by Kim were amazing, with all of our guests commenting about how great the wedding cake flavors were.
We’ve been asked if we could go back, would there be anything we would do differently. Without question our immediate answer is, no our day was perfect and we wouldn’t change a thing! All thanks to this venue and their amazing staff. We could not thank you all enough for making our special day the most perfect day. Thank you!!

r wedding day. We knew the Farmhouse was special the moment we saw the gold plated mirrors covering the walls in the main reception area! From that moment on, it was clear the Farmhouse and their staff pay attention to detail and are incredible at creating special days and little moments for the couples they work with. We worked with Anna and were greeted with kindness, excitement, and openness to executing our ideas and aesthetics. Anna played a huge role in keeping our spirits high and making it an overall smooth and wonderful planning process. WE LOVED the space: outdoor, indoor, and separate rooms to break up the venue space was wonderful. It was much more intimate and exciting than some of the other venues we have been to that tend to only include one big room. We were happy to be able to float around and dance with our loved ones inside on the dance floor, chat with people near their tables or the various stations, go to one of two bars, or hangout on the deck or in the grass. We saw that a lot of the kids gravitated to playing outside with the games, leaving the party space to the adults. Some of the older individuals floated into the smaller rooms at times. The deck area was loved by all who needed to take a breath or cool off. We highly recommend this venue because it is great in that it gives something for all types of guests to do whether that be drinking, dancing, lounging, playing games, etc. The food was wonderful from our perspective. We asked some of the haters in our life what they thought out of curiosity and they all also loved the food. The Farmhouse did a great job at coordinating with all of our vendors, ensuring we were all in the same area. Our guests complimented the outdoor space, greenery, staff kindness, and experience. We've received lots of compliments from our guests on the food, the atmosphere & event space, and the attentiveness of the staff. And we couldn't agree more with that! They were really helpful start to finish with the setup, during the event, and afterwards! There's too many things to mention but just some things that come to mind: bringing us food while we did our rounds with guests; dealing with little kerfluffles; checking in with us throughout the event; and handling things in general while keeping us informed.
Additionally, we had several guests with some specific dietary restrictions, and not only did the Farmhouse handle that for us, but we even heard from some of our guests that they've never encountered a place so organized and well prepared to handle their specific needs (without them having to call and explain things again).
All around we had a wonderful day and Anna & her staff at the Farmhouse were a big part in making that happen!

dding, the attentive and professional staff at The Farmhouse will make planning not only easy but ENJOYABLE! From touring the venue during an open house, to attending the tasting event, to the day itself, this venue exceeded our expectations at every turn.
Laura, our planner, was communicative and professional throughout the process. She answered every one of our questions and provided us excellent guidance on how to create an event that was memorable and enjoyable for all. After watching her buzz around the day of our wedding taking care of EVERY detail, our family now simply refers to her as "Wonder Woman." Both she and the staff made sure every facet of our wedding day was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Our guests raved about the quality of the service from every member of the staff.
But the rave review did not stop there! We heard from numerous guests that the food, from the passed hors d'oeuvres to the entrees, were the BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. I will say, we have to agree.
Finally, I am so thankful to have found such a beautiful venue that offered so many options for pictures. The ceremony site is gorgeous and green and the house itself provides a perfect atmosphere. I am shocked this venue is not booked years in advance but I will always be grateful to have celebrated our day at a venue that provided us service, a beautiful space, and delicious food all at an affordable price.

Katie, one of the owners who served as our day-of coordinator, was incredibly helpful and accessible throughout the entire process to answer questions or offer guidance. She helped ensure that every detail of the wedding was carried out flawlessly - from our decorations to our timeline - she made sure everyone knew exactly where they needed to be. Katie and The Farmhouse team, we can't thank you enough!
One of the things we liked most about the venue was how much was included. We were able to feature signature drinks, rent lawn games and a donut wall from the venue, and add on the use of their outdoor bar. Our vendors were able to easily do what they needed to at the venue and everything was coordinated smoothly. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and made our special day better than we ever could have imagined. We could not have asked for a better experience and would 100% do it all again with The Farmhouse.

One of the best parts of booking The Farmhouse is the package they offer. For a per-head cost that is very reasonable, your cake, centerpieces, and even a free hotel room for the bride and groom are included (and more!). It took such a big burden off of us to find, book and pay for separate vendors.
The food was delicious, although we did have trouble with one guest with allergies not receiving her meal until almost dessert time. They threw a tasting event months before our day where the venue was set up for a wedding and filled with other Farmhouse couples. Not only was this a fun event, but it showed us what the venue would look like filled with people. We got to taste most of the food options which helped us narrow down our menu.
All the staff was attentive and kind during the day and leading up to it. I loved how they recommended vendors like our DJ who knew the equipment and space very well.
They recently started offering add-on packages of signage and lawn games which is a great way to cut down on the amount of items you need to bring to the venue and purchase for what will most likely be a one-time use.
I highly recommend The Farmhouse as a beautiful and affordable venue!

k with. She was clear about what I could expect day of and worked with me ahead of time to make sure I knew what I needed to provide. She managed everything flawlessly on the day of, quickly resolving issues that popped up and making sure the groom and I had a wonderful time.
The packages were priced fairly and the all-inclusive nature of the venue definitely took some stress off us. The only suggestion I'd make is to add more food options to the brunch package, we found it a tad bit limiting. Other than that, host your wedding here if you want to have a simple, low stress, well coordinated wedding.

Farmhouse. We have been adding about 15 extra chairs at our ceremony site since we continue to be in a global pandemic and guests have really appreciated being able to skip a chair here and there. I apologize this was not communicated prior to you but I thought it would be appreciated since this was your fourth wedding date with us, as we allowed you the flexibility to keep changing because you were concerned with Covid. We are still unsure as to how or why the table leg failed and am genuinely sorry about that happening but I praised my staff that night since we were able to have everything cleaned up, with a new table set within 5 minutes. I personally threw away that table that night, as to not take any future chances on it. I pulled your mom aside and let her know I was leaving due to a personal reason, 20 minutes prior to the end time of your wedding. I did not want to interrupt you dancing with your family and friends and pull you away from the last few minutes of the wedding. Our manager who has been with us for over 5 years took over and I continued to check in with her until after you left the facility. Your mom was aware she was in charge because I let her know when I was saying goodbye to her. I am sorry that your mom to had to come back the following morning to pick up the cake, it was a simple overlooked detail on our end since we had it in our refrigerator to preserve it for you. I hope that you had the wedding of your dreams despite the few negative comments in this review and that you and Michael are doing well!

the wedding planning process. She regularly kept in contact with us leading up to the event to ensure that everything was in order. The staff was also very attentive to our needs on the day of. We brought floral garlands to put on the pergola near the ceremony site and were told that we would have to arrange for someone arrive early to set it up. To our surprise, the pergola was beautifully done by the staff at the farmhouse and looked exactly like the picture. I would recommend this venue to any couple looking for an affordable wedding venue that includes most of the essentials. They include the cost of a wedding cake and floral table centerpieces if you work with their vendors. This is such a great value.

Our wedding coordinator was Anna and she was very helpful with any concerns and questions I had throughout the wedding planning process. The day of the wedding she was on top of everything making it run so smoothly. The rest of the staff were very polite and always there for anything we needed making sure my husband and I were enjoying ourselves. It ended up raining on our wedding day but the ceremony was easily moved inside and could not have been more perfect! The food was delicious too, we ended up having a buffet which had turkey with orange chutney sauce and london broil. My guests had so many compliments to give about the venue and it was such a fun day/night! The Farmhouse is definitely Delaware's hidden gem and I am so happy we decided on this venue. I could not have asked for a better wedding and highly recommend it!

ying to find vendors on your own. The staff had decorated the place so well! I'm giving three stars because guests were starting to leave and our favors (donuts) had not been put out. There were two tables in another room that were not told when important events were happening and had to wait a long time for their food. They seemed to be forgotten about. I was not aware until two days prior to the wedding that these two tables would be in another room. There was not a lot of communication, which was upsetting, especially with the pandemic circumstance. I also was not notified that the guest list went up from 50 guests being allowed to 115 guests until I asked because I was getting ready to send out invitations. It would have been better if my husband and I had been kept updated with the covid changes and there was open communication.

There are many extra steps we have implemented to ensure the safety of our guests, including social distancing guidelines and hiring additional staff. I apologize that some of your guests left early and did not receive any donuts but The Farmhouse did put out the donuts with the cake at 8:00, as we discussed when planning the timeline for the wedding. I apologize for any guests in the back room who may have waited a little bit longer to be served during dinner service. We always do our best to serve everyone as quickly as possible. We are currently under additional regulations imposed on us due to COVID-19 that have changed our food service procedures. While we have hired additional staff to accommodate the extra safety measures, we do apologize if the food service was longer than usual and are working to improve on this while we are under these regulations.

We asked her for suggestions on vendors, set-up, and more—and we were thrilled on how everything turned out. I (the bride was nervous) through the planning process, but Laura was always so patient with me. The venue was beautiful with so many details taken care of by their packages. I heard from my guests that the staff were super friendly and professional, and across the board we loved the food—it was like a gourmet dinner. It was so important to us that our guests had a great time and they still rave about our wedding at the Farmhouse! Laura and her team made me feel like a queen and our guests feel special. I cannot think of one thing I would change about our special day and our decision to have our wedding reception at the Farmhouse. It was the wedding of our dreams!

Our guests couldn't stop raving about how good the food was! We had a food truck come for our guests as our favors and The Farmhouse was very accommodating. ct it’s an “all inclusive”. They have food and beverage covered; linens and basic decorations are included as well as the cake and basic flower center pieces. With our very busy schedule they did a great job covering all bases for us or giving us great suggestions of where to go and who to book. There also aren’t ANY hidden costs! The food was amazing and my family cant stop raving about it! The wait staff was great in bringing us food out during photos (since the guests were enjoying cocktail hour). The bartenders were very personable and again my family was impressed by them. The most important thing to me,though, was that on the day of my wedding I was VERY ill. Laura found me pepto-Bismol and continued to check up on me through out the night. The only reason I gave four (I would give a 4.90 if I could) stars is for the fact they threw out my flowers by accident, due to miscommunication and forgot to put out our favors (no one missed them anyways just a waste of money) I asked to pick them up the next day, but when my mother in law went to go get them they had been thrown out.
