Based in Boston, Massachusetts, The Femmes is an all-woman and non-binary wedding band specializing in songs by female and non-binary artists. Their roster includes Berklee alumni, touring artists, veteran wedding band performers, and pit band musicians with over 10 years of professional experience.
We're a band that's completely different from any other band you'll talk to for your wedding. Not only because we're the only band that is majority women from our singers to our musicians, but we play a show that makes it feel like you're at a live concert, not just watching a band that plays out at bars. We diva it up with a tight trio of vocalists who all have different strengths so we can sing anything from Beyonce to Pat Benatar to Lady Gaga. And we also have a full horn section in our 10 piece band.
The Femmes perform in Massachusetts, Cape Cod, Newport, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut. Ask us about destination weddings! We'll travel 😁

The Femmes is a premium, customizable three to 10-piece band performing high-energy music sure to elevate your celebration. We play cocktail hour, dinner music and throw a killer party. Sound engineer, lighting, cocktail hour, dinner and travel are included in all of our packages.

If you're looking for an all-women and nonbinary band that plays all the hits, plays them well, and even has a horns section to keep your audience dancing, look no further. I saw The Femmes as a 12-piece with three singers, every one of which is extremely talented. But they play around town too as a 5-piece, or even 3 or 2. Very versatile! Did not disappoint.
I've gotten so sick of hearing the same wedding band set list from some white dudes with guitars at every wedding I've been to in the last 10 years. My partner and I searched everywhere for a band like the femmes to play our wedding, and thank god we found this group just as they were starting out last year. These womxn know how to PLAY and they delivered an incredible setlist of songs every other band is sleeping on. I can't recommend enough. Ellie was super accommodating to our requests and the rates were fair. We went for a 10 piece and the horns made the night electric. Support the community - hire these chicks, you will not be disappointed.
We hired The Femmes to perform at the Boston Climate Strike and they were so easy to work with. The band members were flexible, friendly, and enthusiastic and made a great edition to the speakers and other performers involved in the rally outside the State House. Great energy and great sound!
This band knows how to party! I had to write a review because I was so pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was to have a live band. If you're looking for high energy, and incredible talent to celebrate your big day this is the band to book! I was taken aback by how fun and engaging they were let alone knowing what songs to keep the guests on their feet. I had originally assumed we'd book a dj but now I want them at my wedding!
I saw The Femmes at Club Cafe on 2/10 at their Coming Out Party and I have to say I haven’t had that much fun in a LONG time. It was so refreshing to see a band completely composed of women and non binary folks, and to hear songs that bands don’t usually cover! I would highly recommend this band for anyone who wants to have an incredible party with an individual band.
Wow The Femmes can put on a SHOW! They have a massive setlist crossing genres from country to pop and from the 60's to now. Absolutely incredible, each and every member were professional and talented musicians. Super easy to work with I can't recommend them enough.
This band is amazing. They were the hit of the wedding and got everyone dancing, even my grandmother! They were also punctual and professional and easy to work with. No divas, only great musicians.
