The Festive Board

n our menu, they went above and beyond by personally delivering a meal for my fiancé and me to share, complete with a handwritten note and a bottle of champagne. It was such a thoughtful and personal touch that meant so much to us. On the wedding day, they arrived right on time and were incredibly efficient and professional. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing catering team who truly cares about their couples!

I did the final walkthrough about a month before the event with Sherri - she was so sweet, and has a lot of experience, so she helped me feel a lot more prepared for day of. I worked with Jennifer for the week-of check in and day-of coordinator, and she was so awesome! I was in DIY mode at the venue, but she took my table chart & some decor and told me to focus on getting ready. She also checked in throughout the event to make sure that everything was going well and that we were eating (and brought us sangria during the cocktail hour! I don't know if I would've thought to grab a drink otherwise, so I really appreciated that). All the guests had a ton of compliments for Kelly, the bartender. She was really kind and checked in on me before my walk down the aisle. Jennifer A., one of the servers, was super helpful too, and kept an eye on all the tables to make sure everyone had what they needed. The kitchen staff were also really great - I was getting ready in a room off of the kitchen, so we saw each other pretty frequently! Juston, Greenleigh, and Brigitte were awesome, and fun to chat with afterwards when the reception was wrapping up. For food details, we went with a version of the BBQ menu with a beer, wine, and sangria bar. Everyone loved the food - there were a ton of compliments on the eastern shore potato salad and the southwest manicotti. We also went with their s'mores bar, and it was great! They had a set up for table s'mores, but were also open to incorporating the fire pits already on site. Setup was so easy - they were on site before we were, and were ready to go! I handed over the seating chart, bar materials, and table decor and didn't have to think about it or worry after that. Everything was set up perfectly, and they even had some extra things set up that utilized the space really well (like a new patio on site I didn't factor into my plans). They did an awesome job cleaning up the reception site as well, which I appreciate so much. They also took care of all the trash, and packed up the leftovers for us into carefully wrapped trays (there were arguments over the tray of manicotti and the leftover cheese from the cocktail hour, lol). Festive Board was the first vendor I booked, and they really set the standard for the rest of the process. I would absolutely suggest checking them out - I met them at a bridal show, and I'm so grateful I did.

We were then overnighted two FULL plates of our selected items to sample: 2 entrees, 2 vegetables, and 2 sides. We were able to make any changes to what we selected if we didn’t like anything. The all-in price also included stationed and passed appetizers for cocktail hour, a salad before the meal, cutting of the cake, and a s’mores bar! It was the same price whether you wanted plated or buffet style. Linens, tableware, glassware, and bartenders were also included. Guests raved about the food and service. Taylor was awesome with communication and Dorothy (FOH supervisor) was great with details and keeping things running smoothly.
