we would be working with....Chuck... oh man, where do I begin? The first time he called me I knew we would hit it off! Chuck at Festive Board was the head of catering, but also a coordinator for the day. He truly deserves more than 5 stars!! He made sure the centerpieces were set correctly and that my dress and veil were fluffed before I went down the aisle, helped with cues for my bridesmaids, flower girls/ring bearer, and greeted me at the end of the aisle with a beer and wine for my new husband and I! Once we got into the venue he made sure we had a drink, and even a private charcuterie board just for our sweetheart table! Making sure you get a meal is so important on our wedding day, and Chuck was SURE that we were going to eat! Our food came out quick, in an organized fashion, and hot! Every time I looked up from my plate I was getting flashed 2 thumbs up! The portions were on point! Most people leave a wedding hungry, but not us or our guests! I truly cannot thank Festive Board or Chuck enough for making our wedding day a dream come true. You can always tell when a vendor is passionate about what they do, and that is Chuck!

quotes. The staff was friendly the day of. I took a star because the bartenders weren't the best. First, they didn't make our one signature drink correctly. But when we told them it wasn't right they did try to fix it. The next day when we were going through the left over alcohol there were so many bottles that were half full and they opened a brand new bottle before going through the opened bottle first. But overall they were nice and made sure we were taken care of. Again food was amazing and would definitely recommend.

re going to have an outside wedding reception and were skeptical on how it all worked. They answered our questions with ease and thorough explanation. It didn't take long to make a final decision. The Festive Board it was! From the beginning, sample tasting for choosing the menu, to the day of the event was so easy. Being very nervous and skeptical of how I would know that everything would be set up as we wanted from tables to decorations. Knowing that we would be miles away at the wedding and not able to see the final set up until we arrived, just made me very nervous. In comes Chuck!!! He met with us to confirm everything a few weeks before the wedding. We reviewed the menu, the layout of the floor plan, the table linens. He left no stone unturned. Lucky for us Chuck was also our Day of Event Coordinator. He was absolutely amazing! I didn't have to worry or stress over anything! The reception set up was beautiful. Chuck had it all under control. We are still getting compliments on how wonderful the day was and the presentation The Festive Board did. I say, "It was all Chuck's doing and his crew." "If you ever need a caterer that will do an outstanding job, call them and ask for Chuck!" I can't thank Chuck and The Festive Board enough. We couldn't have done it without you!

g of 2020 and on October 1, 2022 we were able to finally celebrate! The owners were very flexible with menu options as we did not choose something that they normally cooked. We were able to submit our own recipes and they perfected it. At our final meeting with the catering company and the venue, one of the coordinators named Nikki was present and she went to work asking all the questions of the venue that I would not have thought of. She solidified all of the final details and she ensured us that on our special day We would be taken care of like royalty. On the day of our wedding the team came out in full force. They tend it to every aspect of putting everything together, serving, bartending, break down, and clean up. They had food plates waiting for my husband and our children as well as drinks. Dorothy, Barre, Jenn, Kylie, Logan, and one more woman who I did not catch her name – – thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the wedding of our dreams. Your service was phenomenal, the food was incredible. We had a tasting a few weeks before the wedding and there were certain things that we want to changed related to taste, flavor, texture. We were able to relay the message back to the chef and he knocked it out of the park. Every single person at the wedding said that the food was killer. We had Birria queso tacos, fried chicken, mac & cheese, rice and beans, empanadas, Mexican street corn, guacamole and chips, sautéed broccoli, and brussels sprouts with bacon. We also were able to invent to signature cocktails and the bartending service took the recipes and made sure everybody had a drink in their hand the whole entire night. We cannot say enough about the Festive Board Catering service. The price was also affordable. If you were looking for a catering company on your special day we recommend the Festive Board 10 out of 10!! We were not close to the location of the catering company either, they had to travel almost 2 hours with our food . It is important that you know that the quality and the flavor of our food was not diminished because of the travel. Our ceremony was at 4 PM and they said the food came out of the oven at 4 PM and was immediately submerged in ice baths to make their way to the travel destination. Thank you thank you thank you for all you did for my husband and I.

The owner of our venue commented that he couldn’t tell anything had even happened in his kitchen. They packed up all the leftover food and alcohol! So great! That said, we spent $3645.00 on our catering contract with them (and it would have been noticeably more if we hadn't paid the full balance up front). Part of the reason we opted for them was an agreement that all the extra food would be boxed up and sent back home with us at the end of the event. Instead of following through with that, they either threw out the leftovers or took them with them. When I contacted the company about it, all I received as an answer was that the person on site "didn't know where to store the food." However, if they had asked myself or my husband, we already had a guest available to bring the food from the venue to our home once it was boxed up. The only compensation they offered was a $200 gift card to their catering company, but that's over an hour away from us and honestly not very useful. We had intended to use the leftovers during our honeymoon some on days we did not venture out for lunch and to leave some with the family member who was watching our two kids while we were on our trip. Instead, she had to plan additional meals for them and we had to buy additional food during the honeymoon that we should have already had. In addition to that, Adam and I only got to eat a few bites during the reception (as often happens during a wedding) so we didn't even really get to enjoy the food that we spent quite a lot of money on. Overall, that part of the experience has me feeling much less satisfied with their work. However, I will say the food was still tasty and at least our guests were fed, which is why they are still receiving a 3-star rating.

Then, we were surprised to have drinks and a plate of our cocktail hour appetizers ready for us at the sweetheart table when we came into our reception. erful. Had everything we wanted for our food choices. A taco bar. They seemed so accommodating. Little did we know. The food coordinator for the day was named Dorothy. And Dorothy was one of the most rude and unprofessional people I have met. Dorothy was yelling at my bridal party for wanting to come into the venue with alcoholic beverages (all over 21) and then proceeded to stand with the bridal party and stalk them all until the entered the venue. Next she talked down to her employees and was yelling at them. It was so bad at one point the bar tender rolled her eyes and apologized to me because she just couldn’t take her attitude anymore. Then she made the bartender call last call at 845 when the bar was not supposed to close until 930! My wedding coordinator had to talk with her about that and she fought with us until she pulled up the contract and saw she was wrong. At the end of the night she handed me a paper to sign and in the comments I did write amazing because the food was delicious and the staff working the wedding was very nice aside from Dorothy. Which I was going to call about her when the office was open. The next day I was supposed to go back and get the left over food. The owner of the venue called and told me the food was not there. After talking to the catering crew, the clean up crew, and the host of the venue…they all said Dorothy said “the bride and groom left all of the food so it’s a free for all…take what you want and throw the rest away”. 6 TRAYS OF FOOD THEY THREW OUT!!!!!! THAT I PAID FOR!!!!!! When I called festive board to tell them about the situation they became defensive immediately, spoke so highly of Dorothy and refused to listen to anything I had to say about my experience, and at one point the lady I spoke to (Deb the owners wife) laughed at me and told me “you and I are going to get on the same page about Dorothy”. After several other rude comments via phone and they later texted me to continue the argument…my husband and I have to hire a lawyer to get our money back for the food festive board took and threw away that was not theirs! DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!!!!!

We were provided a plate of the foods we selected for our wedding which was a huge plus. We had to postpone our wedding from 2020 and Ed was understanding and sympathetic to not only me as a bride but also didn’t would put his staff in harms way with the unknown of Covid at the time . I worked with Nikki and Taylor thorough the planning stages of the wedding and they were amazing to work with . My day of coordinator Taylor was great on the day of. Having some catering experience myself the staff (servers/chefs) were phenomenal. They kept my drinks coming and the tables clear. The bartender was very personable and her smile was very inviting! I had a chance to talk to some of the other crew members and they were just amazing ( I appreciate Festive “allowing” the staff to interact) The food was so delicious and we had plenty for all our guest. We had a couple of special request and they delivered without hesitation. We wanted to have a pig roast and have it on display and they delivered. Also requested our appetizers be served in a boat and fish plates (out theme) and they delivered beyond my expectations. Last request was a special one for the grooms side of the family, they have a special celebratory drink at the of the wedding ceremony and they were happy to honor and accommodate and that meant the WORLD to my in-laws. They also provided set and clean up which was beyond helpful. I cant recommend Festive Board enough, they truly made my wedding smooth sailing and I can’t really thank ALL of them enough.

She provided her contact information so that we could reach out to her directly with any questions and was always very responsive. Our day of supervisor, Candice, then reached out to set up a phone call closer to the wedding date to confirm and finalize the wedding day events. She was so nice and a lot of fun to talk to! On the day of our wedding, Candice and the staff did such an outstanding job! Everyone was professional and friendly. After the ceremony, while everyone was at cocktail hour, Candice took the time to bring us a plate of appetizers. She also made sure our drinks were always available at our sweetheart table. Candice made sure everything was running smoothly and she took such good care of us as well as our guests. In regards to the food, everything was delicious but I think the real winner was that Crab Mac 'n Cheese!! Everyone complimented the food and the staff all night. Working with The Festive Board was simply stress free. They took care of so much behind the scenes to include set up and breakdown which allowed us to remain in the present and truly enjoy our time with friends and family. For this alone, we cannot thank them enough! Overall, we had such an amazing experience. The whole process was very organized and we felt we were consistently communicated with. I would highly recommend them for your catering needs!!

n. I was able to text both women and add/delete anything I wanted to. Beth took care of us during the wedding, getting us drinks and making sure we had enough food. There were a few minor things that made us put our review at a 4. One we were supposed to get a tasting and never did, but not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I felt a bit anxious when I didn't hear from Beth by the Sunday before our wedding. But I reached out to Nikki and she had Beth get in contact with me. We were planning on 150 people and paid for 150 meals, but only ended up with 95 people because of COVID and I wish we could have gotten our money back, but we were able to take the left overs with us. So again not a huge deal! Overall Festive Board was great and I would recommend them!

I was a little worried about reading some of the mixed reviews, but my husband insisted it would all work out. I'm glad we decided to stick with them! They truly went above and beyond what a typical catering service provides. They even set up our centerpieces! Candice was our day of coordinator and she was awesome. She made sure she found us with a tray of food from cocktail hour and even stood next to me while I sampled the different foods she saved for us. I was grateful for that otherwise we wouldn't have gotten any! They also put together plates of food for us so we didn't have to go through the buffet line, and even filled our drinks multiple times throughout the night. At various points, Candice even mopped the floor where someone had spilled a drink on the dance floor. Everyone raved about how good the food was and that the service was great. Due to COVID and space, we decided to move the buffet outside. They did a great job ensuring everything stayed warm for guests. I even asked the last table that was served and they all assured me everything was still nice and warm for them! We did have a lot of leftovers as we paid in full for our original guest count which was lower due to the pandemic, but they packed up everything for us to take home so nothing went to waste! If I had one "complaint," it would just be the streamlining of information before the wedding. We met with Nikki about 2 weeks out from the wedding, where we went over logistics regarding number of tables, linens, etc. and finalizing the menu. That meeting was extremely thorough and I did feel like they were prepared for exactly what to expect, as were we. Once we were assigned a day of, we then had a pretty similar meeting where we answered a lot of the same questions. I'd just suggest potentially cutting out one of those meetings as it just felt a little redundant to have to review everything twice. Again, not a true complaint as I am still so happy everything was well organized and I didn't have to answer a single question or solve any issues on my wedding day. Overall, they helped make sure our day went smoothly and the food was amazing! Thank you so much!

lunch. At the end of the meeting they showed us how much everything was going to cost, and asked for payment in FULL with one weeks notice. We also did not taste anything that we selected for our menu. We originally agreed to meet them on the following week to pay in full. After doing some research we found out that a lot of couples have had this exact issue. When I asked to see the contract ahead of time they told me “they were out of the office”. When consulting with them about the bad reviews and our concerns they immediately became defensive and not pleasant. After that we decided to cancel our next meeting and they became very irritable. I will also be contacting our wedding venue to let them know about this shady catering service. I hope this helps and doesn’t happen to anyone.

needed to get a card for this place. It was then that Nikki introduced herself to me and had me enter their drawing for $1,000 off of catering services. I later got a call that I won the drawing and my fiance and I were so excited! I told him how good the food was and how the pricing would be ideal for our huge guest count of 200 people. We first sat down and met with Ed who helped us plan our menu and work out some details. We really jived with Ed because he loved that my fiance and I worked together in planning a menu and not just one of us did the work while the other just agreed. He could tell we had a real partnership. He also accommodated our work schedules and opened up the deli after hours to have this meeting with us. Ed sent us home with plates of goodies, a bottle of champagne and a beautiful card. I did start to get nervous when I replied to a text from Nikki in mid-Sept and didn't hear back from her for nearly 2 weeks but we were able to hash everything out quickly and set up a meeting. A month prior to the wedding, we sat down with Nikki to finalize everything as far as menu, allergies, details with linens and such go for the big day. Nikki was very thorough and made sure we understood everything in the contract and made sure the menu was exactly as we wanted it to be. I will admit when I was kind of hesitant when I heard from other friends of mine who used FB as caterers that the staff wasn't ideal to work with and hard to reach but had amazing service the day of. We didn't experience this and we are glad we kept a positive outlook because they worked very well with us on our day! Nikki was also our "day of" caterer/coordinator and I'm so glad she was. She made sure that everyone that needed a special meal got one. She made sure our vendors got to eat first and that my husband and I got to actually sit down and eat as well. She even brought some meatballs and crustini over for us from cocktail hour just for us! She really did make sure that everything was as it should be. I know it couldn't have been easy with a guest count of 200 people. The only issue we had was that some of my guests said they didn't get a warm vibe from some of the staff members. It wasn't anything I personally experienced but I thought it should be mentioned. My bosses from the brewery where I work did have to help some of the bartenders with the kegs but were very happy to do so to make everything run smoothly. Everyone raved about how amazing the food was and how beautiful the table set up looked. At the end of the day, we were overall very satisfied with the care we received from Festive Board, Ed, Nikki, & team!

The only thing I would change is that they brought a cake that wasn't needed and in turn the cake that I paid someone else to make was never cut and distributed. I just really wish our guests were able to enjoy the amazing cake we paid for. Also, my food was good but I did have guests that complained of dry chicken and cold food.

. You need to know, of course, how the food and timeliness of their service was. This review is not based on the food alone, but of the company as a whole. The reviews for FB are not great... probably 50% are great and 50% are awful. We pulled the trigger because the price was the most affordable for what we wanted. Nikki is their event coordinator who is not always present at your actual event. She does, however, go to all of the final meetings (this does not make sense to me). Our new event coordinator, Beth, reached out only 5 days before the wedding. I had asked Nikki multiple times if I could have a list of which menu items were gluten and lemon free so I could update my menu sign, as we had guests with allergies. Nikki told me she would have all food labeled on the day of. Beth knew nothing about allergies. She made a phone call and determined there was no gluten or lemon in any food items, but this was too late; people were already eating/avoiding food items because the staff could not tell us what was gluten and lemon free. During set-up, 3 of my bridesmaids ended up helping with decor because the florist, caterer, and day-of coordinator couldn't communicate their roles. The catering company was contracted to assist with centerpiece set up, which eventually they did assist with. FB also decided not to pack the champagne flutes (which were contracted) because they weren't serving the alcohol. This was not discussed at our final meeting. Nikki knew her staff was not to serve alcohol, check. If Nikki wanted to know if that meant they shouldn't provide the glassware, why was this not asked? FB had to send another truck with the flutes, from 2 hours away. The salads were prepared too early, it was 90 degrees out and they were very wilted. I heard nothing but good things about the food served at the buffet though. The staff was also very friendly. At the end of the night, I was frustrated with the allergy situation, but no one got hurt. Ultimately, I felt satisfied. They had me sign a contract right then, stating the correct services were provided... which took me by surprise. This seemed like they were trying to protect themselves. Days later I spoke with my day-of coordinator who brought up many concerns with communication of the catering staff and their knowledge about what their roles were. I wrote a very emotional review regarding my concerns for this company. I then received a phone call from Ed's wife. She lit me up. She hardly let me speak. She raised her voice. She talked about how nice all of her employees were and how hard her husband works... that doesn't change the issues at hand. Of course I got frustrated and raised my voice right back. But the point is... I am the customer, you are the one providing services. I am appalled by how this company has handled their negative feedback. The communication has been so poor throughout this process with them, from timeliness to professionalism to straight up just making sure it's communicated. There are lots of improvements to be made here. We have planned a meeting so I hope they take it seriously.

Nikki was very attentive to me as the day of coordinator and made sure we were well taken care of. at the end of the night the staff was a HUGE help tearing down the reception and packing everything up.

menu was to be as follows: cheese, crackers, fruit and veggies served during cocktail hour. Pizza buffet (4 types of pizza), salad/rolls, cream of crab soup, pasta salad and beverages. We paid for an expected attendance of 125 people. We ended up having only 100 people attend, knowing we would (should have) ended up with a significant amount of leftovers. We were ok with this knowing we had already paid in full for 125. Appetizers: There was only a small sampling, if that, of fruits made available. As the bride and groom, we were provided one plate for the two of us with one strawberry and a few grapes. Most of our guests said they did not get any fruits.. only vegetables and cheese was available when they entered the reception site. In all of our pictures from the photographer from the start of appetizers until we entered, there are no fruits on the cocktail table. With having paid for 125 people and only 100 in attendance, there should have been more than enough fruit available for everyone. Not the case.. not even close. Our 2 year old was the first one in the reception so that grandparents could get him something small to eat so he wouldn't be so cranky for photos. He didnt get any. Meal: Pizza was brought in cold and they attempted to heat the pizza up with heating lamps, while trying to serve it to the guests. You could tell the pizza was made at least the day before and did not taste any way near what we sampled when we first booked. The cream of crab soup was not cream of crab. Any typical cream of crab would be white in color/milky looking... this was brown, looked like they used broth instead, no white in it at all. Definitely nothing close to a cream of crab. We had also used a family friend to provide chicken wings for us, which was what everyone ended up eating instead of the pizza we paid a lot for. We left with A LOT of left over pizza (and many complaints on the taste/freshness of the pizza). The staff said they were told they could take home some of the leftovers.. I was fine with them taking the pizza as no one at our reception wanted any of it, but they also took the remaining wings which were not even provided by them, leaving us with none. We tried contacting our initial contact, Nikki, about our unsatisfactory food service, and were told she would forward to the manager to contact us. After another attempt to contact and resolve, we have yet to hear anything back, 3 months after the wedding. Please don't waste your hard earned money here. We are disappointed that so many of our guests left our reception to eat elsewhere and had so many negative comments to make about our caterer. The only positive to this was that the staff that was at our reception was very polite and did a wonderful job at adding decorative touches to the buffet, making the presentation of the food the only good thing about it.

, and to help guide us through the process. We had over 150 people and our guests loved the buffet ... especially the mashed potato bar - served in a martini glass! The girls who did the set up were terrific, they worked well with our florist and my bridesmaids to make sure that the tables looked exactly like I had imagined. We got married in June, and it was really hot, but they did their best to keep up with the heat and making sure everyone had what they needed. We were extremely pleased with the pre-wedding communication, the food and the service! Thanks for being a part of our wedding day and making it memorable!

in after the storm. They shuffled the whole cocktail hour inside, and then quickly reset everything for the reception. They were super accommodating to the wedding party, family and guests. The food was AMAZING - I wish I could post a picture of the mashed potato bar, served in martini glasses - so cool! There were 4 servers working all day and night to make sure everything was taken care of, even with all the changes that had to be made. Nothing was missed, and the girls always had a smile and were pleasant. I will 100% be using them when I get married, and would recommend them to anyone.

oesn’t have a way of keeping their ice. Staff was heard by numerous guests complaining that they wanted to leave early. We were told there was no more beer and yet I went home with at least 7 cases of beer. I was approached 45 minutes before the end of the reception of my daughter’s to move my vehicle up so it could be loaded. This on top of all of the issues the bride and groom went through before their big day. There is a common theme with every reply Festive Board has to their negative reviews...it’s always someone else’s fault. That speaks volumes about their professionalism or lack there of. They say that people are only concerned about the money. To me it was about the experience and mine was not a favorable one. I will never recommend them to anyone.

a cold bottled water before the ceremony. By the time the line went down they wanted guest to be seated for dinner. We did have a few hors d’oeuvres and was satisfied with them. Once seated there was salads and one glass of water (that didn’t have any ice) at each setting. I waited about 30 mins for all guest to seated and the first dance to eat it. Once I did start eating I noticed the roll was very hard. It was difficult to eat. It took a while for the plates to be served but they eventually got it done. I was seating in the middle section and was done eating by the time the last table was served. There was a lot of food on the plate and it was ok. Not what I would have paid for but I was a guest and appreciated the invite. When the meal was being served I went to the bar to get some ice. There was no one working the bar. Someone said it was closed until after dinner. I said I just wanted some ice and another guest pointed to a container of lemonade. I figured that would work. There was no ice in it and even warmer then the water on the table. I thought it was strange that a barn wedding that has no AC in June wouldn’t have cold drinks readily available. We had to leave after dinner so I don’t know what happened after that. I did notice when I was eating the bride and grooms food was sitting uncovered at the head table. Most weddings I’ve been to they are treated like a king and queen as they should be it’s their special day. They weren’t at the wedding. So long story short I wouldn’t recommend this company.

know wasn't true. It was hot and sunny that day and I sat down at our table and drank my cup of water right away (which was warm) and it was never refilled or offered to be refilled. By the time I got up to cocktail hour all of the apps were gone. The food was good however it was just thrown all together on a plate with no order. I would not recommend this place to serve the most important day!
