Kate did an amazing job with the florals for our wedding! The part of wedding planning I was most excited about was the flowers and Kate helped me take my many ideas and executed a cohesive vision that was absolutely beautiful. We received so many compliments on how stunning the flowers were! Truly a great value for the quality of work Kate does; I had other florists quote me a higher cost for fewer pieces than what Kate delivered. Her knowledge of the venue and overall experience were so valuable and allowed me to be confident throughout the planning process that the end result would be beautiful!

Kate designed the florals for our March 2024 wedding. She was so fun to work with and made our vision come to life. We didn't give her too much direction because we trusted her to create something beautiful, and she exceeded our expectations. The bridal bouquet she made for me was so gorgeous that I started to cry. We got married at Lacuna Lofts, and she decorated the arch in Reverie Gallery with orchids. I was stunned by the beauty. The ground arch that surrounded us during our ceremony was absolutely gorgeous. We got so many compliments from our guests. We are so happy with her work and we recommend Kate to everyone! Where do I even begin. Kate made our floral process so incredibly easy! Kate is an excellent florist and has great planning, communication, and vision. Kate was SO wonderful to work with! I was really kind of unsure about what my floral vision was fully and she was patient and helpful in bringing what I wanted come to life. We met in-person at her studio as well which was so helpful so I could see the actual pieces that would be used in the wedding and be able to choose which ones best fit our venue. She was very accommodating to my budget, gave suggestions for ideas I hadn't considered and ended up loving (like arrangements to line our ceremony aisle), and was so flexible in accommodating some of our last minute requests. I'm convinced Kate has superpowers. I think she knew the vision for my flowers even before I did. We met a few times before my big day to discuss colors and flowers that I liked/disliked, styles of center pieces, ways to be budget concise, etc. and while I always left feeling reassured and that we were on the same page, somehow everything on my wedding day was 10x more gorgeous than I had ever imagined. Kate is supportive and reassuring when you need help or guidance, patient when you get a new idea or have yet another question, and also your biggest cheerleader when you start to nail everything down. She's so genuine and down to earth that working with Kate feels like working with one of your best friends!

Kate is AMAZING. I had a very specific vision of how I wanted my tables, flowers, and the room overall to look. During our first chat I was blown away by her kindness and sense of humor, she is a true joy to work with and made picking florals easy and fun. For background-I truly knew nothing about florals / cost and was very upfront with Kate in this regard. She was incredibly helpful in helping to strike the balance for making sure I could achieve what I was looking for within budget. I definitley do not have an eye for flowers, but Kate helped me to visualize what would be most beauitful for our wedding venue (The Allegro) and where flowers would make the biggest "bang for the buck". Kate is also incredibly flexible, when initially meet ~1 year before our wedding, but my vision for flowers changed from this first meeting to wedding. Kate helped to adjust this vision and make sure the flowers reflected what I was looking for. Day of florals were GORGEOUS! Kate hand delivered personal flowers in the AM, and then used her magic to decorate our venue when we were out taking pictures. Our flowers looked gorgeous all day, and I will be preserving my bouquet. Cannot say enough wonderful things about The Flower Girl Company!

As a venue manager and planner, Kate was a dream with whom to work! The venue doesn't NEED a whole lot of extra "razzle dazzle" but what she brought to the table was elegance. We were so lucky to have worked with Kate for our June 2023 wedding at the Chicago History Museum! I loved Kate's style so much and we felt so aligned in what we wanted I think everyone question and conversation ended with "whatever you think is best!" Kate also had great suggestions on ideas I had and how to help us stay within budget, and gave honest feedback (I never thought I'd have a vendor suggest we NOT do something). We are Boston based, and Kate was incredibly flexible with us around our travel schedule, and gave up coveted time leading into a wedding weekend to meet with us for our run-through to work with our travels. Working with Kate was an absolute pleasure. She took time to understand our brief and color palette and incorporated it effortlessly into the wedding bouquet, flowers at the dinner tables as well as during the ceremony (especially with the custom-made arch and arrangements!!). Her flowers elevated the already beautiful outdoor venue at Winnetka Community Garden to another level, and all our guests were blown away. Ours was a secular intercultural wedding, and Kate went above and beyond to create beautiful Varmalas (Indian floral wreaths / garlands) for the bride and groom. The bridal bouquet and the groom's boutonniere were both beautiful and held up really well over the course of the evening. All of Kate's floral arrangements looked great in person and photographed incredibly, and we're so grateful to her for being such an easy person to work with.

Kate is an absolutely brilliant and dreamy florist! I found Kate searching through my venues tags on Instagram. I was captured by her work and new she was the perfect vendor to splurge on! I had a vision of a “dreamy neutral” ceremony and a colorful fiesta reception to honor my husbands Mexican heritage. I didn’t have much decor, so the flowers were the star of show. Finding a florist for the day of our wedding was among the toughest vendor searches for our wedding that I was faced with. Wedding day florals and foliage are quite costly and I was determined to locate a florist that had experience, created gorgeous floral art and was in tune with the many costs that come with weddings, and is therefore competitive with their pricing. To support my search, I composed a document to share with florists that included the specific floral design I wanted for the big day. I was in correspondence with a number of florists and when I finally came across Flower Girl Company, I was excited. The owner, Kate, is so caring and intuitive. Once we connected, I knew I narrowed down the right choice for a florist. She looked over my floral design document and we had a conversation that incorporated her artistic skill and experience and how that instinctual expertise would lend itself towards creating what I envisioned for ceremony and reception decor. After our call, she sent over a quote that further bolstered what I envisioned. We also met in person and, from that additional meeting, I know Kate was able to channel my personality into the characteristic creation of the floral decoration for my wedding. Kate made sure the decor at my wedding and reception was beautiful, and well-suited for and enhancing to our venue space and captured what I asked for. I am so grateful to know her and if I did my big day all over again, I would undoubtedly again choose The Flower Girl Company.

OMG Kate was AMAZING. From my first phone call with Kate, I knew that her personality was a fit for mine and it would be great to work with her. She was so responsive to my budget and vision, and really made sure that we accomplished a beautiful day within my budget. The dark green contrasting with the soft ivory florals, and gold candles was greater in real life than it was in my vision. My husband and I hired Kate for our December wedding and we were blown away by her work. I didn't know what I wanted for my bridal bouquet and the reception centerpieces, I just had some vague ideas about wanting to embrace the winter wedding feeling. She took these ideas and created the most beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, and head table garland, and perfectly captured that feeling that I wanted! I wish we could give Kate 10 stars instead of 5! We found Kate on Instagram and after looking through her photos (and reviews here) we thought she'd be the perfect fit for our wedding! When we first went to Kate, we told her our wedding vibe was going to be tropical. We wanted monstera leaves, lots of greenery but also lots of color! I had my bridesmaids each wear a different color which Kate incorporated into our whole floral design for the wedding. What she delivered was so much more than that! I was truly blown away by the bouquets she made for my bridesmaids, the boutonnieres she made for the groomsmen and the bridal bouquet she made for me. Seriously blown away. We also wanted to incorporate a greenery wall with a neon sign for a photobooth feel for our guests. Kate has a greenery wall we were able to use and add accents too, to make it really what we wanted. We rented the neon sign and she was able to place this on the greenery wall for us! Throughout the planning process, Kate was always quick to respond and share her thoughts and feedback. As a small business I can only imagine the amount of emails she gets in a day, so her promptness meant a lot to us. We also went back and forth on a few pieces like a floral crown or hair pieces for myself, welcome sign needs, etc. She was patient with us and helped talk through what we wanted so she could offer the best recommendation possible. She also was very transparent on costs and even noted what we could save a little on, here and there! Kate is a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her if you're getting married in the Chicagoland area!

I had followed Kate on instagram for a while and was just in love with everything she'd done so when it came time for my own ceremony I was very torn on what I wanted, because everything was so beautiful. I was the worst, most wishy washy bride on the planet. I can't get over how much I LOVED the flowers at our wedding! Kate is incredible -- from the very first call together, we could sense her creativity and excitement for the work she does and it absolutely comes to life. Kate did the florals and room decorations for my recent wedding and I was beyond amazed. Working with Kate was easy and she understood exactly what I was describing. Kate was extremely responsive and sent multiple idea photos to help narrow down the look we wanted to achieve. I wanted a greenery bouquet with some white flowers, specifically panda anemones, and that's EXACTLY what I got. The bouquet was GORGEOUS. Kate also matched the groom's boutonniere to the bouquet and made a couple extras for my husband to change into as the weather wilted his original boutonniere during the icey picture session. Kate created nearly a dozen greenery boutonnieres and all greenery bouquets for the bridesmaids. All florals perfectly complemented one another. Kate also decorated the aisle with dozens of tall candles and seamlessly executed a room flip to cocktail hour, and then took the candles to the reception room for use on all the tables. I told Kate I wanted a head table "like Harry Potter floating candles, but on the table." and SHE UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT. On the morning of the wedding, Kate brought all the florals to the hotel and was just sweet to see during that crazy time. I really loved working with Kate and am still blown away by the beauty she created.

We loved getting to know her way back in 2019 when we had initially started planning what we thought would be a 2020 wedding...Like many, we ended up postponing to 2021, and even with all the COVID craziness, she was easy to work with and the best communicator. The flowers for our 2021 wedding were so beautiful and stunning. She made the vision we had a reality and our venue looked incredible when she was done! We cannot say enough good things about The Flower Girl Company!

I got married two weeks ago and Kate was so amazing! Her phone calls prior to the wedding were some of my favorites. She knew the right things to ask and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. In the chaos of COVID wedding planning, Kate was my light. We hired her to do the flowers at both our COVID mini-mony and our reception the following year, and both events were incredible.
