We had a 2 day wedding celebration where we had a Friday event at Bishop Station (also a Novare property) and then our wedding ceremony and reception at the Foundry at Puritan Mill. Both venues had the open, industrial feel that we were striving for. I had looked into these venues prior to hiring our wedding planner but then she recommended these spaces so we had to check them out. Working with Kristin at both Bishop Station and the Foundry was so easy and then working with her team closer to the events was just as seamless. The Foundry was such a dream for our ceremony and reception. We heard so many compliments on how beautiful the space was. Of course we give credit to our design/floral team but the Foundry's space allowed our vision and the design team's creativity to shine. We had about 170 people at our wedding and The Foundry felt like just the right amount of space for that guest count. I would recommend the Foundry to anyone looking for an in-town industrial venue in Atlanta.
I have always wanted to get married here, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! This venue is perfect. Warehouse/exposed brick feel that transforms into sheer elegance with the draping and whatever your vision brings to the table! The possibilities are endless. It was perfect.
What an incredible experience. I fell in love with the openness of the venue and knew that I could add in any elements I wanted. The venue is meant to be different for every person that holds an event there. You're able to express your creativity to make it your own. Wendy was always there to answer any question and make the stress of a wedding seem small!
The Foundry at Puritan Mill is such a perfect location! We had about 375 guests and had plenty of room for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The staff were super quick and quiet while changing the ceremony space to the reception. Everyone we worked with was just incredible! There are plenty of bathroom stalls and it is all kept clean and tidy. The open windows of the space allowed in so much natural light without us having to do an outdoor wedding!
This venue is absolutely stunning! There is more than enough parking, places for the bridal party to get ready before the wedding, and the staff we worked with was great!
Gorgeous venue with a rustic and industrial feel.
Absolutely beautiful venue. I had both my ceremony and reception here. The space is very versatile and was perfect for a July wedding (hello, air conditioning!). The parking is ample, the space is handicap accessible, and did I mention, it is gorgeous! As far as working with the staff--they are quick to respond, but do not expect any hand-holding to occur throughout the process. Be on top of things yourself and make sure you read your contract (as with any other venue). The Foundry is a great option for an Atlanta wedding!
I had my ceremony and reception here, amazing!! Yes, it can be pricey but it is worth every penny. The staff was incredible and Wendy (who I spoke with throughout my planning process) was very receptive and quick with responses. It's a beautiful space and was the perfect venue for our dream wedding!!
Thank you for a wonderful reception!!
I was sold on this venue the second I walked in. The exposed brick and beams give the venue the exact industrial look my husband and I were going for, and the curtains are a perfect enhancement. I loved being able to work with an open space and create the layout that I wanted for the ceremony and reception. My guests were very happy with the large amount of parking spaces and the overnight parking policy. Amazing venue with a great staff! Loved working with Kate and David.
We had both our ceremony and reception at The Foundry at Puritan Mill and worked with Kate throughout the process. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue! It was a beautiful backdrop for the day we envisioned, and the staff was absolutely top-notch to work with.
This venue is filled with beautiful windows and skylights which provides lovely natural lighting rain or shine -- a major plus when you want the feel of outdoor lighting without actually having to come up with a "rain plan." You do get your choice of vendors without additional fees, but they recommended some fantastic partners for catering and wedding design that truly made our wedding special and unique. If you're looking in Atlanta, I would highly recommend The Foundry.
Everything was absolutely perfect. From Wendy to the set up to the actual day, it was flawless!
Positives: The Foundry is an interesting space, sort of post-industrial with exposed beams, metal windows and posts, etc. The decorator our daughter chose was able to dress it up with draping to separate the ceremony/cocktail/reception areas, and there's an abundance of natural light, so the photos of the afternoon wedding look good. There's plenty of parking.
Negatives: 1: EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR YOUR WEDDING OTHER THAN THE ROOM NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT IN, AND AT THE END OF THE NIGHT, TAKEN BACK OUT. The Foundry offers no tables, chairs, table service, linens, or anything else. All you get is the room. If you want to divide the room into separate spaces as we did, you need to arrange for your own dividers. The Foundry didn't provide a broom or trash bags for us to clean up with afterwards (and cleaning up is required). The Foundry couldn't even provide matches or a lighter for us to light our candles, or a snuffer to put them out. 2: NON-EXISTENT STAFF AND SERVICE. No-one from the Foundry attended our rehearsal or the wedding/reception. Repeated calls to the Foundry's "wedding coordinator" on the day of and day before the wedding to clarify details went UNRETURNED. There is no-one on-site to help with last-minute details or to answer questions. 3. PREP SPACE: There is no separate room for the bridal party to get ready (or for the groomsmen). There ARE other rooms at the facility but they are strictly off-limits. There is no space to store wedding decorations or other items you might want to deliver early. There is no space to secure purses or other personal items during the wedding. 4: BAD NEIGHBORHOOD. The route one must take to reach the facility winds through some pretty sketchy parts of midtown Atlanta and doesn't set a positive mood for arriving guests. 5: BAD LIGHTING: Once the sun goes down, the lighting in the space is minimal and very "commercial," so be prepared to bring in accent lighting to highlight the cake table, the head table, the gift table, or anything else you need to stand out. This of course is done at your extra cost and cannot be arranged through the Foundry. 6: PREFERRED VENDOR REQUIREMENT: The Foundry charges extra to use vendors other than those on their "preferred" list. It may be worth the compromise to use vendors that understand how little the Foundry itself provides. CONCLUSION: If you choose this space, be prepared to do everything yourself or make sure your bridal consultant, caterer, florist, photographer, etc. know they are ON THEIR OWN for the event and need to plan accordingly. We feel that for the price charged, the Foundry needs to do MUCH more to help their guests feel welcome.
My (now) husband and I were drawn to The Foundry at Puritan Mill because of it's beautiful architecture, the space it afforded our 200+ guests, and the convenience of having our ceremony and reception in the same space. I will say that these three things came through for us... our wedding was GORGEOUS and we have beautiful pictures to prove it. That said... at this venue, you will pay (note: a hefty price tag) for the space and NOTHING ELSE. Throughout our planning process, my husband and I were disappointed to learn that the venue and the staff (Novare Events) could not help us with lighting, A/V equipment, or even moving the chairs from the ceremony to the reception space. There was no one on-site for our rehearsal, and no one on-site on our wedding day to take care of such essential facility maintenance such as making sure there was enough soap in the bathrooms. Our sales associate (Wendy) was distant, neglected to remind us of payment deadlines, and did not return my family's calls after we encountered questions during our rehearsals. The florist and the caterer had no guidance on where to set up and no one was there afterwards to instruct them about where to place the trash. I've been informed that there were not even trash bags available to them. In all, the Novare Events staff literally acted like they were doing US a favor by letting us use their space... when in reality, we were paying a pretty penny for it. In addition, we had to end up paying more to contract outside lighting and sound vendors (not to mention pay the caterer extra to take care of moving the chairs) and spent tons of time and energy coordinating all of these different vendors. While The Foundry is beautiful, if I could do it again, I would book a different venue that had more included in the price, and would go with an events company that acted like they cared (even a little) about our big day. PLEASE, PLEASE think before booking this venue about if you have the time and energy to run the show on your own, and the extra funds to pay so many outside vendors.
Great space - very much a blank palate. Keep in mind it requires a lot of 'fluff' but if you're creative and have dough to spend, it can be gorgeous. On the flipside, I saw minimalist weddings there which really let the venue shine through if you like the industrial, exposed brick type space
The Foundry at Puritan Mill is a beautiful venue and was perfect for my wedding. Wendy was a pleasure to work with and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. I love that the space can be divided into separate areas with the drapes. Another huge perk is that there is a lot of parking. Its free and its right outside the main doors.
We had our ceremony facing the left corner, with the other part of the room sectioned off and set up for the reception. After the ceremony, the guests went into the large lobby so that the room could be flipped. We had the dance floor in the center right as people walked in, with guest tables on each side of the dance floor. We had bars on both sides of the room. The bartenders were very quick and super nice. (You have to use their bar services.) Another thing I loved was the bridal suite that is upstairs. There is a window looking out into the main space so that I could see what was going on as I was getting ready. There are also some really great areas for pictures. The brick inside the building and the industrial feel outside of the building makes a perfect backdrop. The only bad thing is that it was really warm up there. My husband and I ate up there after the ceremony and it had cooled down so I’m not sure what happened to the A/C as I was getting ready.
Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend them to friends.
The venue is gorgeous. It was the perfect back drop for the theme we were going for. Plenty of room for a large wedding with a dance floor. It is super pricey though. You also have to pay a fee if you are not using one of their preferred vendors and most of their vendors are very pricey. Overall though, we were very pleased with the venue and loved its location and atmosphere.
The Foundry at Puritan Mill is, in my opinion, the best wedding venue in Atlanta. The staff is so courteous, and willing to work with you from every angle. This venue was perfect for my New Year's Day wedding. My wedding was on a Sunday, which was a lower price than a Saturday wedding, but I believe their prices are fair for all days. Plus, if you use their preferred vendors, you receive amounts off the cost of the venue. Because I used a preferred vendor for both the catering and decor, the venue cost close to nothing.
The space of the venue is more than enough. I had both my ceremony and reception in the same space, with 175 guests.
Like I said, I can't say enough GOOD things about it. It was wonderful :)
The Foundry at Puritan Mill was a beautiful setting for my daughter's wedding and reception. The area was spacious and the staff was very accommodating. Kristen was so pleasant to work with and answered all of my "MOB frazzled questions". Our guests loved the place and said it was like a fairy tale wedding. We are so pleased and highly recommend the venue to everyone.
The Foundry was a beautiful event space! The staff did a remarkable job decorating it. The lighting during the day and at night were perfect for photos. The natural light (via many windows) gave the daytime photos a very natural look. The use of drapes and colored lights at night transformed the venue into an extremely elegant space.
The size and shape of the space was perfect for our 300 person event. Everyone had ample space to socialize, eat, drink and DANCE!
I highly recommend this large, beautiful event space!
