The Franklin Commons

Everything about Franklin Commons was perfect! From our initial tour to our big day, it was all perfect. Hannah and Kim were great to work with, very responsive and were able to provide great advice when needed. The venue was so unique and just what we were looking for. Our guests loved the food and the service was phenomenal. We had our ceremony inside and used the outside area for some gorgeous photos. I would absolutely recommend Franklin Commons again and again!

We are so incredibly happy that we chose Franklin Commons as our wedding venue for May 2022. Kim and her team were absolutely magnificent. We had originally chose another venue, and when we had concerns with the original venue and had to pivot, we were blown away by how organized Kim and her team were and how easy they made the planning process. Everything was very stress free leading up to the day, and the venue looked truly stunning on our wedding day. We received so many compliments from friends and family that the space was so unique, fun, cool, and perfect. The food was out of this world, and my husband and guests are still talking about the short rib months later. The bartenders were outstanding the entire evening. If we had to do it all over again, Franklin Commons would be a no brainer as our wedding venue. Shoutout to Dale, who made sure that we were taken care of with food and drinks the whole evening. Thank you Kim for everything, you made our wedding day as amazing as it was!

Picking Franklin Commons as our venue was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We wanted a unique venue with industrial flair in the Philly suburbs. Franklin Commons was the first venue we toured and we immediately knew it was the one. First, Kim is absolutely amazing. From our first meeting all the way through to the end of the wedding, she was on top of every single detail. She is organized, kind, and really makes you feel special as a couple to be part of the Franklin Commons/Drexelbrook family. The package they offer covers just about anything and has a lot of customization options. There are multiple indoor and outdoor spaces, providing peace of mind that there are options for a rain plan. Our guests raved about the hors d'oeuvres, food, and desserts they had, how cool the space was, and how awesome the staff was. I could go on and on about all the fantastic things about this venue. It is a really special place and played a significant role in making our day as perfect as it was.

We loved Franklin Commons because of how beautiful it is inside, what I kept referring to as a "rustic industrial" look, which fit my husband and my vibe perfectly. The food selection is amazing, and they have a ton of options for included cocktail hour stations and entree selections. When we initially booked, we signed on with Kim, who was a great contact, very responsive and super helpful. Unfortunately, she left the company a few months before our wedding, and Christina took her place. We were disappointed with Christina's assistance, as she wasn't as knowledgeable or responsive as Kim, where it'd often be days before we got a response, and the response was frequently "I'll find out for you". We tried to keep in mind she doesn't normally work events at Franklin Commons, she normally works at their other location, but it was frustrating in the couple weeks before the wedding to not be able to get answers. The day of our wedding ended up being very rainy, and though the rain back-up plan for the ceremony was possibly even better than the outdoor ceremony plan, a lot of other things about the rain plan left much to be desired. There was a table set up in the perfect spot for guests to enter Franklin Hall following an outdoor ceremony, but with everyone being inside for the whole event, that table was missed by many people, and we had to direct many guests to it's location. Unfortunately, that table held our cards box, guest book, placecards, and our favors. Nobody took favors, because the table was not placed somewhere that people would pass on their way out, which is very frustrating for us. Overall the day was great, but there were just little things about the day that could have been planned better on their part, and communication wasn't great.

This was the perfect venue, everyone commented how much they loved it. You could not ask for a better coordinator than Kim and her assistant Hannah. I was likely a little particular at times and they were so accommodating. The event flowed beautifully, staff was kind and helpful, food was delicious. I would highly recommend Kim and her team with Drexelbrook catering at Franklin Commons.

From the moment we stepped in to Franklin Commons and went on a tour with Kim Savino, our wedding day came to life for us! Kim was extremely helpful in setting the stage for our big day. She was always prompt and patient with all of our questions (which were many!). We were looking for a place to relax on our wedding day and not stress, the staff was extremely professional and made it super easy on us! The day of the wedding, Melissa was our coordinator and was with us the entire time to help us navigate through the events of the night. She was sweet, funny, extremely caring and kept us calm. We could not be more grateful for such an amazing team that made our night so special. Both of our families and guests have been raving about the food, service, the setup ever since. Everything was so well done! Planning a wedding was very stressful, but when you choose this group of people you will have very little to worry about. A BIG thank you to Kim, Melissa, Drexelbrook, and Franklin Commons teams!!! We absolutely recommend this venue to other couples that are looking for a place to get married and have a reception at.

Franklin Commons was the perfect venue for our wedding reception! It’s unique space stands out from your standard hotel ballrooms. My husband and I were one of those Covid couples who ended up getting married last year, postponing our reception. Amy was great to work with, making it easy for us to change our date when we decided to postpone last year. Amy was responsive to our multiple questions throughout the planning process and helping alleviate some of the stressors. She made sure at our tasting we were able to taste one of our featured menu items (chicken and waffles) as that was my husband’s one request for our brunch reception. It’s also very affordable for the couple on a tight budget. Highly recommend Franklin Commons!

A simply gorgeous location for your special event! We hosted a corporate event at Franklin Commons and couldn't have been more pleased with the setting indoors and out. Drexelbrook Catering was fantastic! The service from planning to execution was top notch. Everyone was so helpful and with a smile. Received many complements on how good the food was from the hors d'oeuvres to the entree and dessert. Highly recommend!!

I cannot thank the Drexelbrook team enough for making our wedding reception the most perfect day! Working with Kim, Dominic and the entire team was a true blessing. Because of COVID, we had to reschedule our date on three separate occasions and never once did we feel pressure or frustration from Kim. She was super accommodating and understanding in such an uncertain time. When we were finally able to move forward with a date in July, we did not have to worry about a single thing. Drexelbrook literally took our vision and made it happen with very little work from us. The day of the reception was absolutely perfect in every single detail. Our guests had an amazing time (many are still raving about it). The food was excellent, all of the day of wait staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time, and as the bride and groom, we were truly waited on at every turn of the night! Hannah and Dominic made sure that we did not have to ask for anything, even bringing me dessert when I couldn't bring myself off of the dance floor long enough to enjoy it! My most sincere gratitude to everyone involved in our day. Highly, highly recommend the Franklin Commons and the Drexelbrook team to anyone looking for a special event!!!

My wife and I cannot speak more highly of Kim Savino and the entire Drexelbrook team. Not only were they flexible through the pandemic, but were also quick with communication and provided step-by-step assistance with our wedding planning process. During the big day, we were treated like royalty. Staff made sure my wife and I always were receiving food and drinks (we couldn't forget to eat!), and were even greeted with champagne right after our ceremony. The Franklin Commons venue itself was beautiful and worked with us through our many changes and updates. It fit our 100 person wedding perfectly with room for everyone to dance, enjoy games outside, and find their own space to enjoy the wedding. Our guests have raved about the food, setting, and overall experience that was made possible by this great team! We could not recommend Franklin Commons and the Drexelbrook Catering team enough.

The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff was incredible. They were so helpful every step of the way (even when replanning due to COVID and changing the day of the wedding with less than 24 hours notice!) The staff made our day flawless and stress free, despite the twists and turns of 2020. Highly recommend Franklin commons and Drexelbrook catering!

We were just married here on Saturday, Aug 29, 2020! The staff, food Venue, organization was beyond excellent.. we definitely recommend. My frienda and family are still talking...... Kim, Fatimah and Chelsey. I was honored you ladies made uu feel comfortable ven during the Pandemic. Franklin Commons is the Best Kept secret that needs to be exposed.. I waited way too long to write this review, but I'm a procrastinator at heart. Let me just say, Franklin Commons was BEYOND perfect for our reception! The moment I walked inside and saw it's eclectic, kind of boho, but also classy style, I knew it was what I was looking for. It truly is a space that can be made into what you want. It felt very open but also warm and welcoming if that makes sense. We got many compliments on the space from guests during the cocktail hour. Kim, our contact person, was fantastic to work with! Always available and incredibly responsive when I had a question. She was open to all my ideas and so helpful when I needed guidance. She was just so accommodating and went above and beyond for us! The space looked AMAZING when we got there and they let me and my husband see the banquet room decorated before it was opened to the guests. Fatima and Jamie (and I might be forgetting others names) were so incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating as well. We honestly felt like royalty because they were always there making sure we needed anything. Let's not forget the food, which was FANTASTIC. The amount of hor d'oeuvres during cocktail hour was insane and everyone raved about them. There was never not enough going around, plus we had two food stations (the pad thai and sliders) which were a huge hit. I'm never that crazy about the dinner at weddings but the food was honestly so delicious and we received many compliments there as well! The entire Drexelbrook team and staff were so attentive and professional. For the price, we really feel like we made out. I feel like I could go on and on. But I highly encourage anyone interested to schedule a visit (when able to with this pandemic going on) and feel for yourself how cool and special it really is. Thank you to Kim and the entire Drexelbrook team for the actual most perfect wedding reception I could have hoped for!

Our daughter was married this past October 11th. Kim Savino is an amazing wedding coordinator. Every time we met her, she was extremely pleasant and helpful, answering all of our questions. The night of the event, everything was perfect! The staff was ready when the bridal party arrived, and the room and area set aside for the bridal party was everything they had hoped for. We have had several family and friends tell us it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to! At the end of the night, everything that was going back with us, was packed up on a cart, and someone brought it to the car and helped load everything in it. Perfect!

Franklin Commons was the only venue my partner and I looked at before booking. We have been to so many weddings in the area that we had a solid concept of what we wanted in a ceremony and reception space and knew that a barn or a ballroom were not for us. The venue has an industrial vibe that is interesting and different and becomes so warm and inviting with the lighting at night. Our guests repeatedly commented about how unique the venue was and had nothing but great things to say about both food and service. Kim and her team made planning as easy as possible and were helpful and extremely responsive from beginning of planning all the way through picking up our things the day after the wedding. Amy and the staff on the day of helped us navigate unexpected rain right before our ceremony with a calm plan of action that allowed us to continue our day without distraction or worrying because we knew they were taking care of everything. Chelsea and Maddie made sure that my wife and I did not want for a single thing throughout the night and were constantly attentive without being intrusive. Thank you to all of the Drexelbrook staff for your hospitality and professionalism and executing our vision to perfection!

Kim Savino and her team at Franklin Commons were absolutely superb. Kim was extremely attentive and paid attention to every detail, even the ones I would have never thought of! She was excellent to work with and I can't imagine having had my wedding anywhere else. Franklin Commons is such a unique venue that perfectly fit my style. You are given the freedom to transform the space into something that fits your style but also have help from the local crew so you don't spend days decorating and hanging lights. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and I cannot recommend Kim and this venue more!

If I could do the wedding all over again I would not change anything other than me worrying. Franklin commons and Drexelbrook were the best in everything. They were easy to work with and gave me free reign for being creative. Kim Savino and her staff were excellent. Kim was readily available and prompt at answering all my questions and reassuring me tha t her staff would take care of everything the day of. And believe me she didn't let me down. In fact they went above and beyond all my expectations. The food was delicious and kept coming. My nephew is still racing over the cheesesteak egg rolls. I truly couldn't have been more please with everything. My friends are still impressed with how the wedding turned out Definitely a place for a wedding or any big event

The Franklin Commons (and the Drexelbrook Catering team, who operates through this venue) is simply amazing. My husband and I wanted a unique wedding/reception venue to truly showcase our personalities and passions (art, music, creativity). The Franklin Commons delivered on all fronts. It's a mixed-use space, with an art gallery and sculpture garden,Von top of all of the other businesses/organizations that operate there. Although the space may appear a little bare during the day, it's an ideal "blank canvas," and it really transforms with event lighting. My guests were raving about how beautiful yet unique this space was.vadditionally, the Drexelbrook team impressed everyone. All of our guests left "wow-ed" and completely full. It truly was the perfect day in a space that was nothing short of ideal for us.

This place is nt your typical wedding all. They allow you to completely transfrom the place to turn it into your own magical vision. The staff was extremly caring and nice. They were helpful from start to finish. The venue has a unique feel. Concrete floor, exposed ceilings and windows everywhere. They have both an outdoor and indoor ceremony space. Its a blank canvas ready to be customized.

New, modern, versatile, and hip wedding venue. Everyone was soo helpful. If you want a place that you can make your own, this is the right place. Book it while it is still not too expensive!

I fell in love withe the redone paper mill the first time I walked in and knew I wanted my ceremony and reception here, the only thing that almost made me not choose this venue was the woman that runs it. She forgot she had even met my fiance and I when we brought my mom to see it and we had been there only 2 weeks prior. She also wanted me to have my ceremony in the "Bistro" aka cafeteria and tried to talk me out of the garden area due to haveing my wedding in October. As of right now I refuse to deal with her at all but I love the venue and the ceremony and reception will be perfect!!
