The Franklin of Soulard

We got married 11/16/24 and the Franklin went above and beyond to make our day so special. Along with our wedding it was also my birthday. The entire planning process was seamless and easy with Christina, Dan and their entire team. The venue is timeless and great for large and small weddings. We had close to 300 and it was great. The food was AMAZING (not your typically wedding food), apps were incredible and our guest are still raving about it. From the small touches, to the big moments, they were there through it all. Emily, was always there with food or a drink for my husband or I and we absolutely loved it. They really let you have your own personally touch with a Franklin spin. The bridal get ready room as 10/10 and was perfect for my bridal party in the fact that we did not have to carry our things every where. We just stayed in one place which was so nice. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding, please look no further. THE FRANKLIN IS IT!!!!!!!!! Thank you guys for everything, the Franklin will always hold a place in our hearts.

There are a thousand good things to say about The Franklin of Soulard and truly not one single negative thing to say. Christina, Daniel, and the entire team are the best of the best!!! When I say they think of and help you with everything, I mean everything - they will plan your event down to the minute (and truly, they execute it down to the minute as well). Our wedding reception was flawless, and we've gotten so many compliments from our guests on how smoothly everything went. The space is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff is so fun to work with! They make you feel like family, and we are so sad we only get one wedding day because we miss them already :( But, we'll be back to visit at one of the many events they host in the Soulard community and beyond!

The Franklin team did an amazing job executing my wedding. Christina and Daniel were so helpful. If I had any questions they were always available to email or speak to. Even if it was over a year until my big day! I am so glad I trusted them with the most important day of my life. I am left speechless when I think about how perfect all the little details were. The food options we tried at the tasting were all delicious and beautifully plated. All my guests were impressed by the food and the staff. My photographer was able to capture some incredible photographs because of how gorgeous The Franklin is. A unique factor The Franklin has is their lounge area. My guests loved taking photos in front of the grass wall and using the cocktail tables. Thank you Christina, Daniel, and The Franklin team for making my wedding a day I will never forget!

From beginning to end The owners and staff of The Franklin were responsive, professional, and showed great care for us and our special day. The room was beautiful, food delicious, the bartenders were great - I can't recommend The Franklin enough!

My now-husband and I first came across the Franklin when we inquired about using the Lafayette Park House for a small reception. We were impressed with how quick Cate was to reply and answer all our questions, which we found was not something all vendors have in common. This first point of contact set them apart from anyone else, and we knew our wedding would be in great hands with the Franklin. They are professional, very attentive to detail, and really care about their couples’ best interests. This held true throughout the entire experience! If you have an event, this is the venue to use! We toured the Franklin venue before seeing the Park House and quickly realized that it would be a better fit for our ever-growing guest list. Meeting Christina and Danny solidified that we would be in excellent hands because we knew the team they built was the best of the best! The package included a private tasting, a final details meeting, and a cake cutting. They made every decision simple and helped along the planning stage. We heard back instantly whenever we had questions. They were very understanding and flexible with keeping our budget in mind and talking through options. They put together our timeline and our layout. We stopped by in person at different times to see how the room could be configured for different events. We used the venue for both the ceremony and reception. They flipped the room in a matter of minutes (we had a guest count of 185). They served plated dinners quickly and smoothly, so everyone got to eat at the same time. We could bring items over and set up in advance, which was a huge plus. I don't know what we would have done without the team's ideas and insight! There is so much that goes into planning a wedding and it can be overwhelming to make decisions. I felt comfortable leaving some items up to the staff, who covered things perfectly. The Franklin building itself is one-of-a-kind. The amount of care and detail they put into restoring the building makes this space truly unique. They kept the character while updating it to simple beauty. The included bridal suite with the furniture and mirrors made for a great getting-ready space! Everyone took great selfies with the wallpaper in there and in the women's restroom! The candles lit up along the balcony were one of my favorite things! The stage is the perfect backdrop. They have a faux green wall with a neon sign you can use, and they even hung our personalized sign. We used their gold hoop for our ceremony, the easel for our seating chart, decor for the reception tables, the cake stand and utensils needed for the cutting, among other items. If we forgot it, they had it. The staff took care of absolutely everything and more. They brought out vases of water for the bridesmaid's bouquets. They personally lit a birthday candle for one of our guest's piece of cake. They kept us on schedule. We barely lifted a finger cleaning up because it was all done for the next morning. They wrote a sweet note and surprised us with a gift the next day! Each staff member cares and has great attention to detail! It was so fun getting to know everyone! Our guests had so much positive feedback on food and drinks! The Franklin did a great job adapting to food allergies. The signature bar package was a complete hit! We got so much included that there was truly something for everyone. We cannot recommend the Franklin enough. Thank you for a successful wedding experience!

As a wedding planner, The Franklin of Soulard is one of my favorite venues. Christina, Danny, and their crew are so easy to work with and take great care of their clients and the vendors who make the event flawless. If you are considering this venue, you won't be disappointed.

We were married on 8/31/2024. The whole evening was absolutely perfect. Danny, Christina and their entire amazing team were absolutely wonderful. You can see it on their faces how happy running this venue makes them. The night was absolutely flawless, the service was so efficient and the food so good. Being all inclusive really takes away the anxiety. all we had to worry about was getting ourselves down the aisle. A night we will never forget.

My son and his bride had their wedding and reception at The Franklin of Soulard on 8/24/24. I knew the minute that they booked this venue everything would be well taken care of. Danny and Christina Walsh did not disappoint! We have received so many compliments on how nice everything was. The evening was absolutely beautiful and everything flowed perfectly! Danny & Christina pour their whole hearts into every event making you feel like your day is the most important not only to you but to them as well! The professionalism of the entire team is top notch and will be hard to beat! We want to thank everyone who worked the tasting, rehearsal dinner, and the wedding/reception from the bottom of our hearts for all of the hard work that started long before the main event. There's not one thing that I can think of that they could have done better! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!🥂🎉❤️

We had an absolutely beautiful ceremony and brunch reception at The Franklin! We planned the wedding from out-of-state, and I didn't see the venue in person before the wedding weekend. I was so relieved and excited that the venue was everything I wanted it to be! Not only is the venue great, but they catered the event, too! We were able to plan an awesome brunch reception that we were able to enjoy without a hitch. Owner Christina is wonderful to work with. She is very responsive and executed our wedding day well! Between Christina and our wedding planner Alexandra (of Luna + Co), everything was under control and off our plates. My husband and I were able to enjoy the festivities without worrying about logistics or answering vendor questions. I would do it all again tomorrow!

Our experience with The Franklin of Soulard was top notch! My daughter and her (now) husband spent quite a bit of time looking at potential venues. We knew it was going to be a large wedding (we had 250ish guests). Once we saw the Franklin, we loved it. It is a gorgeous venue. However, even better than the venue are the people that run it. Christina (and her husband Danny) who own it were amazing to work with. They were always quick to answer my random questions. Their entire team was so incredibly helpful with the entire process, even when we realized we needed to switch table type out once we started grouping people. They were happy to help and work with us on what was needed. They even helped us think of things I hadn't even considered. Being an "all-inclusive" venue made my life so much easier (they handle the tables, chairs, linens, dishes, glassware, food, drinks, and people to run it all). The bridal suite was amazing and was perfect even though there were 8 bridesmaids and a maid of honor to get ready along with the bride - plenty of space for everyone. The food was amazing, the venue was gorgeous. Everything ran perfectly smooth (which honestly was surprising with all of the people we had). The food was served quickly and efficiently. The bar was well staffed and quick. They were also incredibly flexible about letting us in early to setup and to come back the next day to pick up everything. I really cannot say enough good things about Christina, the team, and the venue.

We cannot thank The Franklin team enough for making our wedding day everything we hoped it would be!! We did both our ceremony and reception here and it was such a seamless transition with just a cocktail hour to split the two. Christina, Danny, Cate, Emily, Nichole and so many other behind the scenes people made it so easy to plan everything from booking our date to execution of the wedding day. Danny was flexible with payments, even as one our checks was delivered to a nearby bar several weeks after being mailed. Communication from everyone was quick and professional, even if it was just a "yes" reply to one of our million questions. A bridal suite was a must for me - there was a lot of natural light for hair and make and plenty of room for my bridesmaids and lots of other visitors throughout the morning. There are sofas and it is decorated nicely which was nice for getting ready photos. They coordinated our day from start to finish and helped us adjust our timeline as things ran shorter/longer than anticipated. Food? Fantastic! We got so many compliments on our appetizers and plated meal. The mini grilled cheeses and spicy chicken biscuits - phenomenal. Drinks? Delicious! If we were empty handed or overwhelmed by guests, we were greeted with a drink. At the end of the night, they cleared tables and collected decor that we then picked up in the morning. It allowed us to just enjoy the evening and not have to worry about getting cars all packed up. Highly, highly recommend The Franklin team to bring your wedding vision to life!

This is a LONG overdue review. We had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding back in October 2023 at The Franklin of Soulard, and I can confidently say it is the most magical place for a wedding. We had the ceremony and reception there. From the moment we first visited the venue to the last dance of the night, everything was perfect. The ceremony we had on stage was the perfect backdrop for our vows with a beautifully long aisle. The team at The Franklin worked quickly to dismiss guests to the cocktail hour area to flip the room. The reception ran seamlessly because of the team. The layout was full but spacious at the same time. The simple elegance of the venue had us with hardly anything to decorate. The team went above and beyond to make our day special and about us. From the initial planning stages to the final farewell, their professionalism and attention to detail were above the rest. Christina was a true gem when planning and managing the event. Responsive, accommodating, and genuinely invested in our future together are just a few of MANY amazing qualities they have. Not to mention the food was to die for! We went with the BBQ option and there were NO complaints! Choosing The Franklin of Soulard for our wedding was the best decision we could have made to begin our life together. If you are looking for a venue that combines beauty, elegance, outstanding service, and the best team behind you, look no further. The Franklin of Soulard is without a doubt the ultimate destination.

We had our wedding reception at the Franklin in January and we choose to do it there again in a heartbeat. The team was very responsive to my multiple emails and never made me feel like any of my questions were annoying (because I had a lot!!) We visited quite a few venues before deciding on the Franklin. Many seemed like a deal to begin with, but then would mention for the nicer plates or chairs or table cloths or napkins that you would have to pay more per person. At the Franklin, you pick your food and your drink package per person and that is pretty much your price! I really appreciated that they did not hide any upcharges in their pricing. The day of ran so smoothly thanks to the managers helping us to create and stick to a timeline. We were kind of in a whirlwind that day but staff made sure that we were taken care of and that we always had everything we needed. We have had many guests tell us how beautiful everything looked and say how much fun they had. It ended up being the perfect night!

As an engaged couple, you hear so many horror stories when planning your wedding. I had my worries going into wedding planning.... Christina and Danny were a dream to work with. They eased all my fears and helped to make our wedding the absolute best day! The Franklin team exceeded all our expectations for a wedding reception venue! From our first communication to wedding follow up, they went above and beyond. Christina and Danny were so welcoming and kind from our first tour of the Franklin. Once we booked, they were so helpful with planning. They helped us find other vendors and answered any wedding questions I had. Wedding planning can be crazy and Christina always made herself available to talk through wedding concerns/plans with me. When it got closer to the big day, they were so accommodating and helpful at our tastings. They also held "details" meetings with us to ensure our vision was met. They helped us build a timeline for our entire wedding day (anyone planning a wedding knows this is a huge task). On the big day, the team came up to us multiple times throughout the reception to see if we needed anything. The entire Franklin team (especially Christina and Danny) was amazing to work with. I cannot speak more highly of them! They are highly professional, timely, excellent communicators, and overall just great people. Thank you for the best wedding experience!! Best venue in STL

This beautiful venue comes with an even better team that will ensure your day runs smoothly and your reception is everything you could want. I've heard some horror stories from friends about other venues not staying in contact with them or only providing the space and nothing else – that's not at all what I've experienced at The Franklin. Christina and the whole team ensured we were just well taken care of. The food was amazing, and my favorite part of planning was that delicious tasting. The final details meeting set everything in place, and they answered every single question we had. All in all, this team is so accommodating, and the venue was a beautiful backdrop to my Christmasy wedding. Thank you so much for helping make our day the absolute best!

The Franklin hosted my wedding reception back in September and it was truly wonderful. Christina and Daniel and their team made the planning process go so smoothly. I was planning the wedding while living out of state and they were always flexible and accommodating to meet our needs. The food was perfect and the venue was beautiful. I am so happy that we chose The Franklin and highly recommend the venue for any reception.

From the day we met Christina and Dan we knew The Franklin Room was the spot for my daughter's wedding. They were so sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. Literally so accommodating and willing to help in any way to bring our vision to life. It was the perfect day! Food was fabulous, they served 250 people in less than 15 minutes, never a wait at the bar and everything looked beautiful! I can't say enough about how amazing the staff is too! I would recommend the Franklin Room for any special event!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Danny and Christina poured so much love and hard work into creating the most beautiful venue in St. Louis. We got so many compliments on the venue itself but even more on the food- it’s seriously to die for and people are STILL talking about how amazing our dinner was. Emily and Cate were also so incredible about responding to all of my random questions and keeping the day running smoothly. I cannot recommend getting married at The Franklin enough. I truly cannot think of a single thing I would change about our wedding there

I would recommend the Franklin to anyone! They were essential to making our wedding day exactly what we envisioned. I don’t even know where to begin! The historic venue is exactly what I wanted. The owners (Christina and Dan) and their staff are so accommodating. They efficiently and throughly answered any question we had. They were so wonderful to work with and we did not feel like “just another wedding” at their venue. The food is incredible- our parents STILL talk about how much they enjoyed our reception menu tasting. The bridal suite is very convenient for getting ready and is perfect for any “getting ready” photo and video you may have taken. The staff on my wedding day were professional and made everything run so smoothly. They frequently came up to us to ensure we were happy and got us anything we needed.

I cannot say enough nice things about The Franklin of Soulard. We booked 20 months before our wedding date and during that entire time period I always felt like a priority. You get so much for your money & I never felt like they were trying to nickel and dime us for silly stuff (can’t say that about other places we toured). The bridal suite is HUGE which was so nice for the day of. The space is beautiful but truthfully the staff make this space so unique. Christina & Danny were SO helpful, courteous, and incredibly sincere the entire time. Christina always answered my questions with speed and Danny even helped carry boxes to the car the day after. I knew from the beginning I didnt have to worry about anything and I cannot thank them enough for that huge stress relief! Christina and Danny were always there when we needed them reception night and Lois treated us like royalty making sure we had drinks, desserts, and plenty of food. While planning, they made adjustments to entree sides, brought in specialty drinks we asked for, and NEVER made us feel like it was outrageous request. The food is absolutely incredible, Im not sure I will ever get over it! If you want a space that is beautiful, a wonderful staff, and a place that makes you feel like family… this is it. I wish we could get married here every single weekend, it was truly a dream. Thank you to The Franklin of Soulard for making sure our night was absolutely perfect! We cannot thank you all enough.

5 stars is not even enough to explain how amazing Christina and the rest of The Franklin staff was for our entire wedding planning process. They are prompt with responding to questions, very organized, and have tons of experience in the industry. We went off of Christina's recommendations for numerous vendors and we were so pleased with every single one of her suggestions. Our wedding day went extremely smooth and I know a lot of this was due to Christina and we cannot thank her enough. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with a great stage for a band and big dance floor then look no further. Not to mention we had numerous guests say how they want to get married at The Franklin because they loved it so much. :)
