with the team we knew we made the right choice in selecting our caterer. Drew showed us the utmost dedication, respect and time from the get go allowing us to feel confident in knowing not only will our wedding be the one of our dreams but that our guest would be served top of the line, high quality, and artfully crafted dishes. Our guests are raving about the food to this day, the staff and their service and the way the event was ran seemingly flawlessly all due to Drew’s team. The Fruited Plain goes far beyond just catering. They become family, an integral part of a life changing event that truly would lack luster, success, and ease if they are not part of the team. They are essential members of the best vendor team there ever was.
For our wedding we opted for 5 passed bites and a family style meal of braised short ribs and mashed potatoes. We are still dreaming of this meal. The serving sizes were massive, our guests were so full and content and so many of them praised the fact that there was never a second food wasn’t available to them! They also built me the charcuterie table of my dreams- all fixings included!

We appreciated the flexibility to tweak our menu choices long after we signed our contract, and the ease of communication through text and email. They coordinated everything…procuring linens, dishes and glassware, alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, and also set up the flowers and items we had chosen for our centerpieces.
The Fruited Plain accommodated our choice to have a lovely charcuterie table available along with our welcome beverages as people gathered, which was then refreshed for the happy hour (given we didn’t want the formality of served hors d’oeuvres). From the plated salads to the multiple entrees and sides, and ending with cookies, our friends and family shared that every dish was SO GOOD!
The entire staff was highly professional, serving and attending to us and our guests throughout the evening with warmth and efficiency. er. We did a tasting and enjoyed it a lot, and the price quoted was very reasonable. When the pandemic interfered, postponing the event by a year was very easy. A year later, when the time came to prepare for the event (with COVID still overshadowing it), Drew helped us modify our plans as needed. This involved changing the format of the meal service and also dramatically reducing the number of guests.
Despite a lot of other organizations involved in planning the wedding being a bit difficult (i.e. our reception venue and our liquor supplier), Drew was always very calm and helped calm us down too. His team did a great job on the wedding reception itself-- the food was excellent and everything ran smoothly. Many of our guests have told us how delicious the food was and how our wedding reception was the most seamlessly-run one they have ever attended.

From the beginning, Drew, the owner, listened to our ideas and was receptive to our concerns. He made covid safety suggestions and his team implemented protective practices. Drew also arrived early in the day to scout the lay of the land, provided everything needed plus extra serving equipment at no additional cost, and crafted a well-planned non-dairy, gluten-free and nut-free menu so that all could enjoy.
The catering staff of servers and chef were polished professionals and downright sweet. From drinks & passed hors d’oeuvres to coffee & cake, these experts went above and beyond all night long by attending to the needs of the bride and groom and their grandparents, by maintaining a smooth orderly flow without ever being obtrusive, and by leaving our home cleaner than they found it (they swept & mopped!). They even took care of my elderly, disabled dog!

eck could have been "hit or miss" because of the uncertainty of the weather. But Drew connected us with the right rental company and the heated tent was AMAZING!!! With 25% of our guests being vegetarians we needed a caterer who could deliver deliciousness to all our guests. Drew totally hit it! We opted for a family style luncheon and got raving reviews on the quality of the food. From the first contact email 12 months ago, to the last dish put away on wedding day, we felt we were in great hands with a consummate professional. Drew was flexible enough to accommodate some of our special requests, and because we were dealing with the company owner, decision-making was straight forward. On wedding day, his servers were professional, efficient and friendly. My kitchen was probably cleaner after they left than it was before they arrived! And if all that wasn't enough, honesty and integrity were also a key aspect of our working with Drew. He caught a staffing level mistake on our final invoice and personally delivered a refund check for the amount we had overpaid. Now THAT's someone I will be working with again, and recommending without hesitation to all my friends!
