My husband and I just got married at this venue October 13th and we couldn’t be happier. I worked very closely with Anna who honestly was AMAZING! Every little concern I had during the planning process (down to the weather) she told me “leave it up to me, don’t worry about a thing”, so I did and I was honestly blown away with everything she did. Her attention to detail was truly a gift. After the ceremony, she incorporated our ceremony decor throughout our reception. How she coordinated and decorated everything was just truly the vision of my dreams!! I am so grateful for her and THC team. Not to mention the venue is breath taking!!!

WHO THIS VENUE IS FOR....**If you're looking all-outdoor ceremony/reception in one convenient site, with a solid rain plan. ***If you'd like the opportunity for maximum personalization and creativity, with a skilled team to guide you every step of the way. ***If you love the idea of a tented backyard wedding, but want a little more infrastructure and organization ***If you like the idea of getting ready onsite at your venue to minimize logistics and travel and have a convenient place for the bridal party to store their belongings. ***If you want to keep the party going, the beer hall onsite makes for an easy afterparty location A FEW HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR EXPERIENCE - External caterers that feel like in-house: THC has three preferred caterer options to choose from (plus many food trucks) who know the space in and out and truly work in lockstep with the venue, minimizing the need for coordination between them. /// - Bespoke, personal touches: Anna and her team went above and beyond to make our day not just perfect, but perfectly ours. There are endless ways to make your vision come to life with a ton of ways to personalize the day -- from renting farmhouse tables (5 ft rounds/chairs are included), bringing in an ice cream truck that made us a custom flavor, to setting up our décor and welcome/memory tables exactly to our vision. /// - A+ service & organization: With the signature cocktails on draft, no one had to wait long for a drink -- the servers even brought to guests on trays immediately after there ceremony. They had champagne ready for just the two of us immediately after the ceremony and brought sampling of all the appetizers for us to enjoy in a private moment in the bridal cottage. We also had a seamless load in and load out that made all our DIY easy to come to life and we didn't have to do anything day of. /// - Bridal cottage onsite: I loved getting ready here with my bridesmaids. The space was comfortable for 9 bridesmaids plus our moms, the lighting was incredible, the full kitchen is perfect to order in lunch. /// - Upscale hotels nearby in New Haven: We had our guests stay at the Blake Hotel, which was convenient and a bit more upscale than some of the closer Shelton hotels. We hosted a welcome party here Friday night, as we had a lot of out of town guests and wanted to give them a full weekend experience. We provided buses to and from the hotel. ///

For anyone considering this venue for their special day, my husband and I can't recommend it enough!! Alexia, Anna, and the rest of the THC team were the most kind, professional, knowledgeable, and incredible people to work with. From start to finish Alexia and Anna made wedding planning the most easy and stress-free process. They were both incredibly responsive to any and all questions and had the most amazing vendor recommendations that helped make our wedding the best day of our lives! The day of the wedding they expertly executed the entire day of coordination and set-up. Alexia and her team seamlessly coordinated the entire day, anticipating our needs before we even knew we needed it! This team takes pride in their work and it shows in every aspect- especially in the small details. The venue itself is stunning and such a beautiful hidden gem. We have gotten so many compliments from friends and family raving about the space and staff. You will not regret having your wedding at the Garden at The Hops!!!! Best decision that my husband and I made.
