Working with The Gathering Co. for design and day of coordination was the #1 best decision we made for our wedding. We worked with Maddy and (I cannot overstate this) cannot recommend her enough. Maddy was able to take a few inspiration pictures we had, add in her own suggestions while respecting our wishes, respond to my numerous requests to bounce ideas off of, and bring an amazing day to life. Her ability to manage everything, while keeping us within our budget, made us feel confident and stress-free during the entire process. And the day turned out beautiful, I cannot stress enough how many compliments we received specifically on both the design of the wedding, and logistics, a lot of which was directly her doing. Logistically, her communication was fantastic—always quick to respond to emails, texts, and calls, which made the planning process so much easier. We do not live in state, and she was so helpful being able to coordinate things in lieu of us. She was incredibly organized, always had an answer to any question we had, and even went above and beyond by helping us solve last-minute logistics issues, sacrificing her personal time to make sure everything went perfectly. She is the sweetest and nicest human, not only was she a dream to work with, but she also kept the entire event on track while being warm and approachable to us and our guests. TLDR: Book The Gathering Co. (and Maddy!) ASAP for the wedding day of your dreams!! 50000000/10 stars!!!

I don’t think I can fully express how helpful it was to have the Gathering Co as wedding planners. Maddy and the team were such incredible partners throughout the whole process, from choosing a venue to selecting vendors all the way through to the day itself. I was dreading the stress of planning a wedding, and with the team’s help, I ended up with a wedding and experience that I would do all over again, exactly the same, no questions asked. The best feedback I can give is that, even though we felt like Maddy did all of the heavy lifting, we ended up with a day that multiple said looked and felt so much like us. I can’t guarantee 0% stress, since you are planning a wedding at the end of the day, but the team can help find the next best thing.

We couldn’t imagine having anyone else at the helm of our wedding ship than Chelsy and the Gathering Co.! We chose them due to their mission and how intentional they are about cultivating an event that tells the story of your authentic selves. No one else in the Triangle gave us the sense of confidence that we had after we left our first meeting with Chelsy. Our wedding night was the best of our lives and we can’t tell you how many compliments we all got about the DETAILS. Our guests continue to tell us how intentional our wedding was and how ever little design and detail told the story of us. Everything was so incredible and it was beautiful to see all of the little pieces come together. None of which would be possible without guidance from Gathering Co.! Upon contracting with Chelsy, she helped us establish a well thought out planning process and worked closely with us along the way to ensure all details were thought out and executable. As we got closer to the wedding day, Chelsy TOOK OVER allowing us space to focus on the aspects of our wedding that were most important for our attention. So much thanks to Gathering Co. for helping us navigate the unpredictable, and conquer a logistically flawless stunt of turning everything from outside to inside when it rained on our wedding day. Turns out there was so much for us to be grateful for in having the ceremony inside. This would not have been possible without the planning and foresight of Chelsy and her team being ready with a Plan B! Our guests just assumed we were planning on having the wedding inside the whole time! Chelsy's level of communication with us during the weekend wedding events was the perfect balance. She put us at ease knowing everything was taken care of. She also did a great job of communicating with all of our vendors (even when the vendors weren't the easiest to work with!) which allowed us to turn our phones off the entire wedding weekend. We can't wait to use Gathering Co. for our next big event! Can't recommend Chelsy and her team enough.

Not only are Chelsy and her team AMAZING at what they do, but they are also all wonderful people. I enjoyed working with Chelsy throughout the whole process. She kept me calm and on track during the planning and the wedding day she was the calming presence I needed. She made sure I was blissfully unaware if there was chaos around me (I don't think there was because she is too good!). My wedding guests were stunned at the details and design of the wedding. Chelsy worked her magic and combined elegant and cozy for my winter wedding. I knew how I wanted our wedding to feel without other preferences and she knocked it out of the park! I also received comments that it was the smoothest-run wedding they ever attended, and my planner was on top of it. Hiring a planner was one of the best decisions I made. It's worth it.
