We are feeling very cheated by Little Turtle Country Club. We scheduled our ceremony and wedding at Little Turtle. We put down our $500.00 deposit, in December 2015, after meeting with Molly, who was the event planner, at the time. We felt very comfortable with her, as she had assured us that all of the work at the venue would be completed for our wedding day, on July 3rd, 2016. The club was doing some remodeling, but we did not know how extensive it was going to be. We were told that the new entry way would be complete, the locker rooms (for changing areas), new blinds in the ball room, and an outdoor ceremony space. A couple of months later, Molly, the event planner quit, and we were referred to another planner from Creekside Event Center in Gahanna. That is their sister company, from what we were told. She was very nice. In April, I took my mom over to Little Turtle to look at the venue. They were under full blown construction on one wing of the building, whereas, it did not look like much had been done to the areas that we needed for the wedding. I emailed Karlie from Creekside to see what the time line was, and she referred me to the manager at Little Turtle. He told me that he needed more time to let me know what would be completed for the wedding. With our wedding being 2 months away, this made us very nervous. After no response, and getting the run around, we decided to cancel. We felt that we could not wait until the last minute to see what would be completed for our wedding date. We have since been trying to get our deposit back. They do not feel that we deserve our deposit back, even when we did nothing wrong. They have been leading us on, and have been very unprofessional. We will continue to try to get our full deposit returned. If you are smart, you will look else where!
