We chose The Gulf Club Star Ranch because of the beautiful views and lovely hall. The interior was tastefully decorated, we didn't have to add any of our own decorations. The sta...
ff is super friendly and helpful. They accommodated all of our requests. We couldn't have been happier with how our daughter's wedding reception turned out.
My daughter's wedding was superb and even better than we expected overall. Samantha Fulford was a total professional as wedding site manager. She was responsive to all of our needs...
and requests, such as specialized dietary needs for the rehearsal and wedding dinners and patiently answered our many questions. The chef prepared delectable meals and got rave reviews from our wedding guests who came from all over the world. The staff was also kind and responsive to all of our concerns.
The site was magical with the green fields, fountains, flowers, and the gazebo where the minister and the couple stood. The weather turned out to be perfect and we all made exquisite and sweet memories.
We recently got married at Star Ranch a few months ago and it was ABSOLUTELY amazing. It was even more than what we expected. We chose the wedding package and used all of the vendo...
rs. Everyone we worked with was extremely flexible and professional. The venue is simply stunning. All of our guests told us how much fun and beautiful our wedding was. The entire experience was completely stress free. We highly recommend Star Ranch for your wedding.
As a former employee of Star Ranch, I got to see how things ran from behind the scenes. Knowing what I knew, when I got engaged, this was my first option! We called Samantha immedi...
ately and booked our date.
I have never been the girl to plan her wedding starting at age 8 and am the worst about decision making, so we got the all-inclusive package and moved things around how they best fit us (cut the ceremony and added more people to the reception). They were willing to do whatever was in our best interest. Since we live in Dallas, we were only able to go to 2-3 meetings but Samantha and Patricia were so good about keeping in touch through e-mail and phone.
I cannot explain how perfect and smooth they made our day. When we first booked, we were given a packet with all of the vendors they are used to using. This was a HUGE help since we live 4 hours away and were unable to go cake, flower and DJ shopping any random weekend. The vendors were all great too! It made it extra easy that they all know how Star Ranch works so I didn’t have any concern that my cake or the DJ wouldn’t show up. And… Star Ranch covered all the down payments and the final costs so I didn’t have to write 50 different checks to all the vendors at random times throughout the process. I am not a big fan of flowers, and Just in Roses understood that and didn’t make me feel like a cheapskate because I didn’t want to spend much money on it. The cake was beyond amazing and she made the grooms cake as well and was able to just put it in the final bill at Star Ranch.
All of the set up was done by Star Ranch and it looked fantastic! From walking in to a beautiful room to the detail they put into the folded napkins and the bows on the chair covers, it was stunning. They were even generous enough to put out our guests gifts and set up our thumb print tree.
The day of could not have gone smoother or easier. I, the bride, felt like a guest at my own wedding! All of the staff were so professional and did a great job of serving our guests. The bartenders made sure everyone was having a great time as well and seemed to be enjoying their jobs too (which I believe makes a difference in their service). Everyone who attended our wedding was amazed at how fun and perfect things were. Samantha and Patricia were remarkable at making sure everything was running right on time (and adjusting things when needed).
I would have no concern in recommending The Golf Club at Star Ranch to anyone and cannot say enough how grateful I am to everyone who made it perfect!!! Thank you Star Ranch!!!
They were so professional and organized! I didn't have to lift a gunfire the entire day. Love, love, love this place!!!!!
We were so pleased with everything about Star Ranch Golf Club. Samantha, the weeding coordinator, was wonderful. She was always ready to answer all of our questions during the plan...
ning and during the weekend of the events. The staff was very helpful and anticipated our every need. We held the Rehearsal dinner, Bridal Luncheon, Wedding Ceremony and Reception at this venue. The outdoor wedding was beautiful and required minimal decorations to add to the beauty of the view. The food at the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception was great. The linens and draping of the chairs was beautiful. I would recommend this venue to everyone. We used Justinroses for the flowers, Jane Naivar's Cake Creations for the cakes and Austin Party Machine for the DJ. All of these vendors were on the list provided by Star Ranch. They were all very professional and wonderful.
Star Ranch gave us the best experience! They were very attentive and helped me with every detail of the reception. They turned my dream into a reality! Everything that I wanted to ...
include was somehow able to be fit in. All of my guests at the reception felt like they were very well taken care of and attended to. It is a wonderfully rustic place that can make your day stress free and beautiful! I owe Star Ranch for making the best day of my life the best it could possibly be. I don't think any other venue could have made my special day any better!!
We chose Star Ranch for our oldest son's wedding and this special day could absolutely not have been any better. The communication, planning, and attention to detail surpassed all...
of our expectations. We picked the BBQ dinner option and our guests loved it, which is saying a lot with all the bbq lovers in our family. The night ended perfectly and we were truly treated like family.
I would highy recommend this location for a wedding venue. It is simply breath-taking...the view of the hill country outside is breath-taking. Samantha, the wedding coordinator was...
so awesome through out the entire planning process. I was an out of town bride and she provided the names of all the vendors and they were amazing as well. The day of the ceremony, we had to change location as we originally planned to be outside and it rained and everything was PERFECT! The food was great, the service was awesome. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff was. Star Ranch has many wedding packages to match your needs and budget. They will make it work for any bride.
I highly recommend this place as the parking is great, and it is easy to get to from anywhere!!! Loved it!
Our wedding at Star Ranch was a dream come true. My husband and I got married there Oct 29, 2011. I first heard about and fell in love with Star Ranch at the Bridal Extravaganza....
Samantha and Kassy were welcoming, easy to talk to and full of information. After that meeting I knew I needed to check out this venue in person.
The first time I visited Star Ranch I fell in love. We had visited several other locations and this was the first place I could truly see myself getting married. The outdoor ceremony space is beautiful, comfortable and a perfect canvas for any brides imagination.
The ballroom was the perfect place for our reception. The room is rustic and warm with a fantastic fireplace and mantel. We had 110 guests and had more then enough room for tables, dancing, food, cake, dj and everything we needed.
The food exceeded our expectations! With my husband being a chef it was very important to us that the food was up to par. The chef had great options and was very open to tweaking things to make us happy. We had beef tenderloin, salmon, mashed potatos, green bean and salad. Not to mention the delicious appetizers during the cocktail hour.
Beyond the food and venue being fantastic, Samantha and Kassy were so helpful in the planning process. They helped us keep on track with meetings, planning and making tough decisions. I cant imagine the process without them. On the wedding day I was completely stress-free because those girls were organized and really understood my vision for the day.
When I think back on the day I have the most wonderful memories. Star Ranch is FABULOUS!

nswer questions we had in a timely manner. The entire staff is awesome and very customer service orienated. They made us feel valued and welcomed every time we stopped by or called. This venue has the best all inclusive package deal & a gorgeous view for the ceremony. The reception was elegant..every detail we visioned was carried through and our wedding was flawless! The food is delicious and the recommended vendors were great as well. I would totally recommend the venue..in fact I already have!
I have to say Samantha made everything so easy, I was always contacted for meetings...you know how busy the planning process can get, so the checking in from time to time was appre...
ciated. You really get a great deal and beautiful venue if you are looking for a budget-friendly location. The fajitas were amazing and everyone loved the food, BUT, it was taken away much too soon and you would think since you pay for a specific amount of food by giving your RSVPs that someone would be able to take food home (we had a ton of food left over because we were about 25 people short at the reception). The only other downside were the linens provided. I expected they at least be ironed and even on the tables but we had to do what we could with them the morning of the wedding. Other than those two things the staff was very accomodating and worked hard to make the evening run smoothly. I will always remember that very special day and am happy Star Ranch had a hand in it!
Kassy and Samantha were amazing wedding coordinators! Couldn't have asked for better!
From the moment we walked in it was comfortable. We looked at and priced over 25 venues through out the Austin metro area and none of them could match what Star Ranch offered us. ...
Kassy and Samantha were 100% by our sides through every planning step. They have an all inclusive package that surpassed our expectations. The package included the rehearsal dinner and the food is wonderful. All the vendors they use were kind, very skilled, and ready to work with us to make our day perfect. There is a wonderful contengency plan for bad weather (if you are having an out door ceremony)that surpassed all other venues we visited. If it rains, most venues will set up the ball room/reception hall for the ceremony and then re transform it after the ceremony. Star Ranch has a covered pavilion next to the reception hall.
The food, drinks, cake, flowers, linens, set up, and planning were AMAZING!
After MONTHS of calling wedding reception venues, club houses, hotels, restaurants, bars, and caterers my fiance and I finally decided to go with Star Ranch and I am SO GLAD WE DID...
!!! We went with the All Inclusive package (minus the ceremony) and the price was GREAT! All inclusive is the way to go, especially at Star Ranch. Kassy, our coordinator, was AWESOME!!! She made the entire "wedding planning" process simple and stress-free and helped us every step of the way with all of the little details my fiance and I had no clue about! I could go on and on about Star Ranch the venue itself as welll as go on and on about the vendors they use for the All Inclusive package-the dj, cake and flowers were great as well! I wouldn't change one thing about our reception other than I wish it could have lasted longer. Oh yeah, the food was DELICIOUS!!! If you are considering Star Ranch I highly recommend you go to their wedding open house and food tasting. You won't be disappointment with Star Ranch!!!
My daughter's wedding was on May 7, 2011. From the very beginning, Star Ranch was out to make this the wedding of her dreams. We worked closely with Kassy and feel we could not h...
ave received better service anywhere else. She let my daughter set the stage and would offer helpful suggestions along the way, to keep this the wedding we had in mind. The reception was beyond gorgeous and it was very evident as people walked into the room. Many guests said their first reaction was that it was absolutely stunning. The food was excellent and plentiful. The wait staff couldn't have been more polite or helpful. Every time we met with Kassy, we felt welcomed and never pressured. The scenery was beautiful. Our ultimate goal was a great party and Star Ranch delivered!
Kassy and the staff at Star Ranch helped make my baseball wedding come off with a bang. Even when a few things didn't go as planned, they were there helping out to make things get ...
back on track. Everyone had good time and the food was delicious. Yes, they made sure we got to eat. A great setting for our ceremony with a breeze to keep your guests from getting to warm.
I had my wedding at Star Ranch on May 7, 2011. The venue, and in particular, our coordinator, Kassy, did an excellent job. They delivered a wedding beyond anything I had imagi...
ned and could have even hoped for.
When I began the wedding planning process, I lived in West Texas. Kassy was wonderful and kept in constant communication with me. Emails were always answered in a timely and very thorough manner, which was very much appreciated. I actually booked the venue before ever getting to visit it in person. As you can imagine, this made my inner bride rather nervous. However, the first time I visited Star Ranch, all worries about the venue and staff were put to rest. The views from the patio and ballroom are wonderful and provide a great backdrop for pictures (especially at sunset!). And Kassy was INCREDIBLE. She has an impeccable eye for detail, and was able to offer some great ideas that really helped take my “wedding vision” up a level.
Another wonderful benefit of Star Ranch is that they are willing to work with you on the menu. We wanted an Italian-inspired menu, and they willingly developed DELICIOUS meal options for us. My guests have all raved about the food. And their prices are very reasonable, which is so appreciated during the wedding planning process.
One of the most appreciated details of Star Ranch and Kassy’s services was that, on my wedding day, I didn’t have to take care of ANYTHING. Through all of Kassy’s open communication and meticulous planning, she was able to help nail down our timeline, and made sure all events and vendors progressed accordingly. There was not one single issue that pulled me away from the time I enjoyed with my guests and new husband. Your wedding reception FLIES by, and the last thing you want to do is be bogged down with the details throughout the night. I put 100% faith in Kassy to get the job done, and she far exceeded anything I could have hoped for. I can’t thank her or sing her praises enough to let you brides-in-planning know how great of a job she did, and what a quality wedding you can expect to have at the Star Ranch.
Sincerely,
A grateful, and immensely pleased, new wife
My wedding at Star Ranch was AWESOME! The entire day was smooth sailing. I was able to relax and enjoy everything. Kassy Throop does an amazing job as your coordinator for the enit...
re event. She will take care of you, your family and all the annoying little details that you want her to deal with. My family loved her and the facility. The food was great, the ceremony was perfect and they walk you through anything you are not sure of. She will give you her HONEST opinion if you ask of course and she/they help you with any questions about possible decisions you have for the big day. The all-inclusive package was perfect! I could not have had a more perfect day!
Thanks Star Ranch and Kassy!

th exactly what we needed. An enjoyable evening, allowing two families to get to know each other in relaxed atmosphere! No pressure! My favorite picture is of me and my 2 brothers enjoying the portch after the sun went down. We don't get a lot of days like this, but all in all, a perfect prelude to a perfect wedding weekend.
My husband and I are very happy we picked this place for our wedding. The service that Kassy and Samantha provide for you it is outstanding. We loved the way all the tables were se...
t up. They did an outstanding job with all the details they had to set up for our tables. They helped with the assigned seating, I mean, they did an amazing job. All of our guests were very happy and pleased. The food was also delicious! We also used the outside pavillion for the dancing and it was so much fun!!
I never really imagined my wedding as I was growing up, but our event turned out to be unforgettable! Also, the sunset pictures are super! The view is well worth it! Also, the lady they use for the linnes and the DJ did an awesome job! Honestly I recommend this place and their service 100%!
I can not rave on this place enough. I had my fairy-tale dream come true reception at Star Ranch Golf Course. My husband can not say enough AMAZING things about this venue either...
.
They made us feel like movie stars and Kassy, the Bridal Coordinator was classy, professional, personable, and loving. I feel like we owe her the moon for turning our dreams in to a reality.
The food was delcious, the atmosphere was picture perfect, and the memories are priceless. My ONLY concern is that it is Over and we can not relive this day. The event was truly Magical!

ful and absolutely perfect. She helped me stay on budget and presented ideas to help make my wedding reception gorgeous all the time staying in our budget. If you want someone who will work with you and present great ideas to make your reception more than you could ever imagine, look no further than The Golf Club at Star Ranch.

endly! What more could you ask for?
I worked with Samantha and Kassy for my wedding and the both did a fantastic job working with me and making sure my day went perfect. They gave me lots of helpful suggestions and were very patient with me when I changed my mind. The day of the wedding Kassy was there to make sure everything ran smooth. She kept my husband and his CRAZY groomsmen in line and made sure my guests were happy and took care of myself and my bridesmaids when we arrived after getting ready.
Through the grapevine, I heard people talking about how much we must have spent to have such a beautiful facility. Budget was a big thing with my husband and I because we paid for most of the wedding ourselves and Star Ranch was one of the only places in Austin where we were able to stay within budget and get a beautiful setting. Our ceremony was out on the course, we used the banquet hall for dinner, then moved to the pavillion for the dancing. It was nice and spread out so people could and mingle.
The food was great too. We chose the bbq dinner for our guests. It was a great price and got several compliments from guets. A few were asking if it was from Rudy's or Smoky Mo's because it was so yummy.
Probably the ONLY knock I have is that the area for the bridesmaids to get ready is little (I had a large wedding party anyways). There isn't a locker room or anything for the girls so we had to get ready somehwere else and then show up for pictures. It wasn't a huge deal for me because I lived close, but for people planning an out of town wedding, they might have to rent a hotel room close by.
A little extra info about my wedding:
It was a Saturday night (6pm) and we had approximately 170 guests attend. My husband and I each had 7 wedding party members, 2 ushers, and 2 house party girls. We served the bbq dinner and had an open bar. The reception lasted until 11pm.

rstood our situation, considering that we live out of town, and needed her expert advise on pretty much everything. On Wedding day she took so many responsibilities off our shoulders, which was a stress reliever. We live on the east coast, and wanted to get married in Texas, and I am so glad that we chose Star Ranch. We would highly highly recommend using star ranch, for wedding events.
My husband and I had our wedding reception at Star Ranch at the end of July. Because we had a large group, we rented the banquet room and the pavilion for the dance. The staff is...
very helpful and easy to work with - they will answer any question you may have (and my mom and I had quite a few). I remember walking in the banquet hall for the first time that night and thinking how perfect everything was!
I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a formal, yet casual reception. Their banquet room is very pretty and requires very little extra decoration, which was fantastic for me because I didn't live in the area while I was planning the reception.
Our pictures from outside Star Ranch taken while the sun was going down over the golf course turned out magnificent! The sunset and golf course is the perfect setting for photos.
I did hear from some guests that the champagne from the toast wasn't that good, but can't speak for it myself, as my husband and I toasted with a different sparkling wine.
One of the few problems I had with this location was the time frame provided to set up on the day of the event. Because we had our ceremony in a different location and were only given a few hours before the reception started to set up the food items, we had to get family and friends to set it up for us because we needed to be at the church. I think this would not be a problem if you were having your ceremony and reception at Star Ranch.
Overall, I was very pleased with the quality and service from Star Ranch and would recommend that everyone give them a look to see if it would work for you!
