I have never been the girl to plan her wedding starting at age 8 and am the worst about decision making, so we got the all-inclusive package and moved things around how they best fit us (cut the ceremony and added more people to the reception). They were willing to do whatever was in our best interest. Since we live in Dallas, we were only able to go to 2-3 meetings but Samantha and Patricia were so good about keeping in touch through e-mail and phone.
I cannot explain how perfect and smooth they made our day. When we first booked, we were given a packet with all of the vendors they are used to using. This was a HUGE help since we live 4 hours away and were unable to go cake, flower and DJ shopping any random weekend. The vendors were all great too! It made it extra easy that they all know how Star Ranch works so I didn’t have any concern that my cake or the DJ wouldn’t show up. And… Star Ranch covered all the down payments and the final costs so I didn’t have to write 50 different checks to all the vendors at random times throughout the process. I am not a big fan of flowers, and Just in Roses understood that and didn’t make me feel like a cheapskate because I didn’t want to spend much money on it. The cake was beyond amazing and she made the grooms cake as well and was able to just put it in the final bill at Star Ranch.
All of the set up was done by Star Ranch and it looked fantastic! From walking in to a beautiful room to the detail they put into the folded napkins and the bows on the chair covers, it was stunning. They were even generous enough to put out our guests gifts and set up our thumb print tree.
The day of could not have gone smoother or easier. I, the bride, felt like a guest at my own wedding! All of the staff were so professional and did a great job of serving our guests. The bartenders made sure everyone was having a great time as well and seemed to be enjoying their jobs too (which I believe makes a difference in their service). Everyone who attended our wedding was amazed at how fun and perfect things were. Samantha and Patricia were remarkable at making sure everything was running right on time (and adjusting things when needed).
I would have no concern in recommending The Golf Club at Star Ranch to anyone and cannot say enough how grateful I am to everyone who made it perfect!!! Thank you Star Ranch!!!

The outdoor wedding was beautiful and required minimal decorations to add to the beauty of the view. The food at the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception was great. The linens and draping of the chairs was beautiful. I would recommend this venue to everyone. We used Justinroses for the flowers, Jane Naivar's Cake Creations for the cakes and Austin Party Machine for the DJ. All of these vendors were on the list provided by Star Ranch. They were all very professional and wonderful.

so awesome through out the entire planning process. I was an out of town bride and she provided the names of all the vendors and they were amazing as well. The day of the ceremony, we had to change location as we originally planned to be outside and it rained and everything was PERFECT! The food was great, the service was awesome. Samantha and Kassy were welcoming, easy to talk to and full of information. After that meeting I knew I needed to check out this venue in person.
The first time I visited Star Ranch I fell in love. We had visited several other locations and this was the first place I could truly see myself getting married. The outdoor ceremony space is beautiful, comfortable and a perfect canvas for any brides imagination.
The ballroom was the perfect place for our reception. The room is rustic and warm with a fantastic fireplace and mantel. We had 110 guests and had more then enough room for tables, dancing, food, cake, dj and everything we needed.
The food exceeded our expectations! With my husband being a chef it was very important to us that the food was up to par. The chef had great options and was very open to tweaking things to make us happy. We had beef tenderloin, salmon, mashed potatos, green bean and salad. Not to mention the delicious appetizers during the cocktail hour.
Beyond the food and venue being fantastic, Samantha and Kassy were so helpful in the planning process. They helped us keep on track with meetings, planning and making tough decisions. I cant imagine the process without them. On the wedding day I was completely stress-free because those girls were organized and really understood my vision for the day.
When I think back on the day I have the most wonderful memories. Star Ranch is FABULOUS!

ciated. You really get a great deal and beautiful venue if you are looking for a budget-friendly location. The fajitas were amazing and everyone loved the food, BUT, it was taken away much too soon and you would think since you pay for a specific amount of food by giving your RSVPs that someone would be able to take food home (we had a ton of food left over because we were about 25 people short at the reception). The only other downside were the linens provided. I expected they at least be ironed and even on the tables but we had to do what we could with them the morning of the wedding. Other than those two things the staff was very accomodating and worked hard to make the evening run smoothly. I will always remember that very special day and am happy Star Ranch had a hand in it!

Kassy and Samantha were 100% by our sides through every planning step. They have an all inclusive package that surpassed our expectations. The package included the rehearsal dinner and the food is wonderful. All the vendors they use were kind, very skilled, and ready to work with us to make our day perfect. There is a wonderful contengency plan for bad weather (if you are having an out door ceremony)that surpassed all other venues we visited. If it rains, most venues will set up the ball room/reception hall for the ceremony and then re transform it after the ceremony. Star Ranch has a covered pavilion next to the reception hall.

!!! We went with the All Inclusive package (minus the ceremony) and the price was GREAT! All inclusive is the way to go, especially at Star Ranch. Kassy, our coordinator, was AWESOME!!! She made the entire "wedding planning" process simple and stress-free and helped us every step of the way with all of the little details my fiance and I had no clue about! I could go on and on about Star Ranch the venue itself as welll as go on and on about the vendors they use for the All Inclusive package-the dj, cake and flowers were great as well! I wouldn't change one thing about our reception other than I wish it could have lasted longer. Oh yeah, the food was DELICIOUS!!! If you are considering Star Ranch I highly recommend you go to their wedding open house and food tasting. You won't be disappointment with Star Ranch!!!

The reception was beyond gorgeous and it was very evident as people walked into the room. Many guests said their first reaction was that it was absolutely stunning. The food was excellent and plentiful. The wait staff couldn't have been more polite or helpful. Every time we met with Kassy, we felt welcomed and never pressured. The scenery was beautiful. When I began the wedding planning process, I lived in West Texas. Kassy was wonderful and kept in constant communication with me. Emails were always answered in a timely and very thorough manner, which was very much appreciated. I actually booked the venue before ever getting to visit it in person. As you can imagine, this made my inner bride rather nervous. However, the first time I visited Star Ranch, all worries about the venue and staff were put to rest. The views from the patio and ballroom are wonderful and provide a great backdrop for pictures (especially at sunset!). And Kassy was INCREDIBLE. She has an impeccable eye for detail, and was able to offer some great ideas that really helped take my “wedding vision” up a level.
Another wonderful benefit of Star Ranch is that they are willing to work with you on the menu. We wanted an Italian-inspired menu, and they willingly developed DELICIOUS meal options for us. My guests have all raved about the food. And their prices are very reasonable, which is so appreciated during the wedding planning process.
One of the most appreciated details of Star Ranch and Kassy’s services was that, on my wedding day, I didn’t have to take care of ANYTHING. Through all of Kassy’s open communication and meticulous planning, she was able to help nail down our timeline, and made sure all events and vendors progressed accordingly. There was not one single issue that pulled me away from the time I enjoyed with my guests and new husband. Your wedding reception FLIES by, and the last thing you want to do is be bogged down with the details throughout the night. I put 100% faith in Kassy to get the job done, and she far exceeded anything I could have hoped for. I can’t thank her or sing her praises enough to let you brides-in-planning know how great of a job she did, and what a quality wedding you can expect to have at the Star Ranch.

I worked with Samantha and Kassy for my wedding and the both did a fantastic job working with me and making sure my day went perfect. They gave me lots of helpful suggestions and were very patient with me when I changed my mind. The day of the wedding Kassy was there to make sure everything ran smooth. She kept my husband and his CRAZY groomsmen in line and made sure my guests were happy and took care of myself and my bridesmaids when we arrived after getting ready.
Through the grapevine, I heard people talking about how much we must have spent to have such a beautiful facility. Budget was a big thing with my husband and I because we paid for most of the wedding ourselves and Star Ranch was one of the only places in Austin where we were able to stay within budget and get a beautiful setting. Our ceremony was out on the course, we used the banquet hall for dinner, then moved to the pavillion for the dancing. It was nice and spread out so people could and mingle.
The food was great too. We chose the bbq dinner for our guests. It was a great price and got several compliments from guets. A few were asking if it was from Rudy's or Smoky Mo's because it was so yummy.
Probably the ONLY knock I have is that the area for the bridesmaids to get ready is little (I had a large wedding party anyways). There isn't a locker room or anything for the girls so we had to get ready somehwere else and then show up for pictures. It wasn't a huge deal for me because I lived close, but for people planning an out of town wedding, they might have to rent a hotel room close by.
A little extra info about my wedding:
It was a Saturday night (6pm) and we had approximately 170 guests attend. My husband and I each had 7 wedding party members, 2 ushers, and 2 house party girls. We served the bbq dinner and had an open bar. The reception lasted until 11pm.

I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a formal, yet casual reception. Their banquet room is very pretty and requires very little extra decoration, which was fantastic for me because I didn't live in the area while I was planning the reception.
Our pictures from outside Star Ranch taken while the sun was going down over the golf course turned out magnificent! The sunset and golf course is the perfect setting for photos.
I did hear from some guests that the champagne from the toast wasn't that good, but can't speak for it myself, as my husband and I toasted with a different sparkling wine.
One of the few problems I had with this location was the time frame provided to set up on the day of the event. Because we had our ceremony in a different location and were only given a few hours before the reception started to set up the food items, we had to get family and friends to set it up for us because we needed to be at the church. I think this would not be a problem if you were having your ceremony and reception at Star Ranch.
Overall, I was very pleased with the quality and service from Star Ranch and would recommend that everyone give them a look to see if it would work for you!
