I just had my reception at The Grand Baltimore September 2023 and I cannot say enough good things. I will start with the venue coordinator, Nina, who was instrumental to the success of our day, and then move to the venue itself.
The Grand was just the second venue we toured and we signed shortly after, so we had been working with Nina about a year and a half from contract date to wedding date. From day one, she went above and beyond to be as welcoming, patient, flexible, and transparent as possible to make our experience a better one. She went far beyond the expectations of her position to ensure that we were getting everything we wanted and needed, from letting us get ready at the venue when we had no other space, to making an extra entree just for us to try when we misread the menu for the tasting. Over that year and a half of countless email back and forth, late-night texts, meeting my family during several visits, Nina became a friend who was such a big part of the day.
Now the venue itself can speak for itself just with pictures alone, but I will give a little extra. Like I said, we only toured two places before deciding on The Grand, but it's because there was no point seeing any more. After stepping foot into the building, we knew nothing else would compare. Built in the 1800s as the freemason's headquarters and boasting the most stunning stonework and architecture you'll see in the city, The Grand has not only the elegance I wanted, but the history and character of a building made to impress. It has multiple ballrooms, each with their own individual style to suit your event vibe. We were having a celestial wedding, so it was a no brainer to choose the Mirror Room for our reception, which had spectacular star-shaped light fixtures dotting a ceiling the color of the night sky. The adjacent room was used for our cocktail hour and looked like it came right out of a story book. People raved about the food and the day went off without a hitch.
It is expensive, but I loved it so much I actually cut my guest list down just to be able to afford it and don't tell the people who got cut, but it was totally worth it and I'd do it again haha The wedding pictures I got from this venue, the memories I got for this venue, the friendships I made from this venue are priceless and beyond compare. 10/10 would get remarried here hahaha

That's what we did as a couple. We walked into the Edinburgh and Oriental rooms and I just fell in love. I knew right then and there that this was the place I was going to have my amazingly beautiful wedding. We picked the base package and were happy with the amount of food choices, food displays, open bar and the place settings. We were amazed by the tasting (although I will say that on the day of, we did not receive the quality of food that sold us. The pollenta was gritty and the chicken wasn't quite as amazing however the steak was in fact to die for).
Whats wonderful about this space isn't the staff or service (ill get to that in a bit). It is rather, its architecture. The space is just beautiful. Each room has a feeling of it's own. Little to no extra decoration is necessary in order for the space to feel special.
You will be assigned a "wedding planner". If you have any luck like we did...prepare to be dissapointed. You will need to answer the same question 4 or 5 times even after you have written it down. You will need to coordinate with your own vendors to secure a drop off and pick up time. You may get an annoyed look if you, like me, are a detail oriented bride who asks a lot of questions. I know that this is a business to them but I never felt special when meeting with them and that made me sad. The day of as my husband and I were cutting our cake I had to stop and ask our coordinator for a cake plate. Those kinds of things were annoying.
But don't let that stop you from using the space. Just be prepared to do a lot of following up.Knowing what I know I would still pick this space. If I had some additional funds I would have paid for a coordinator and not relied on the one given to me by the venue.
My day was amazing. And it was made amazing by the space, the hard work of my mother and mother in law, an organized bride and some beautiful flowers and a delicious cake. Their coordinator could have stepped it up a little bit.
Any questions?

This venue was amazing. We had the ceremony and reception there. They take care of all the food, drink, lighting, etc. I worked with Lauren F. and she was easy to work with. The space was gorgeous and was able to accommodate our large wedding.

I could not recommend this location highly enough! Let's start with the sheer convenience. The beautiful and newly renovated Embassy Suites has dog friendly rooms, handicap rooms, and large suites, all of which we needed to take advantage of with our group, and is connected to The Grand which was so convenient for us and for our guests not having to drive all over the city from church to reception etc. Our assigned coordinator was Lauren Flaig and she was truly amazing! She was with us every step of the way - and as the days approached for our wedding, as a nervous bride, I didn't need to lift a finger! Absolutely everything was done for me so all we had to do was drop off our items and Lauren and the staff put everything together for us. It was definitely worth it to pay a little more for this place considering how easy and stress-free it was for us not to have do any of our own set-up or clean-up. We also had a Bridal Attendant (Nina) who was with us for the whole evening, literally catering to my every need or want, I felt like royalty! On top of the exceptional service we received from Lauren, Nina, and the rest of the staff, the site was beautiful, everything flowed so smoothly, the food the MOUTHWATERING - everything, absolutely everything, far exceeded my expectations! Again, I could not recommend this site highly enough. You will not regret choosing this location!

this place was so beautiful to have my wedding. it was the perfect setting for my vintage theme.the only thing they lost my glasses and knife set and they decided to put all the loose flower on the floor and not on the table were they wore supposed to be so the tables looked bear. also make sure you get everything in writing so they can change what they said.

My wife and I were married in the Edinburgh room at the Tremont Grand in September 2013. We worked with Amy Lindsey, who was really supportive and generous. She was even able to give us a two-night stay at the hotel next door, which was extremely helpful and allowed us to deliver everything the evening before. The venue was very accommodating and allowed us to arrive several hours early to take photos of the two of us and with our bridal party and families. Edinburgh Hall was beautiful, as were the many other ballrooms that were open for us to take pictures in.

First impressions are everything, and the Grand Historic was accommodating, responsive, and accountable right off the bat. We planned our wedding in four months, so it proved to be essential to have a wedding planner assigned to us at the Grand Historic. Her name is Amy Lindsey and she actually has a college degree in wedding planning. She kept me honest with all of the details, and thought of things I never would have. The venue was beautiful, the on-site catering was perfect for what we wanted (heavy food stations but no plated meal)and they were able to do a signature cocktail with a very obscure liquor. We were able to get upgraded chairs through a promotion, and aside from flowers, the reception rooms were so beautiful that they needed little to no extra décor. This venue has a beautiful, old-fashioned feel, if you are looking to be a princess or a movie star on your wedding day... not if you're looking for a rustic garden wedding with burlap table runners.

We absolutely love the reception rooms at the Tremont and the food is amazing (filet and crabcakes were a hit)! The Tremont is slow to process bills and it can take a while to hear back from them, but the service was great on the day-of. They really go out of their way to make your day special.

The Tremont was an absolute pleasure to work with. Amy was our coordinator and did an exceptional job. She was always patient, prompt with responses, and professional. Throughout the planning process, she let us see the space as many times as needed to determine logistics and worked with us to make sure everything fit within our budget. At first, the venue seems a little pricey, especially with their food & beverage minimums, but when you factor in all of the things that are included in the package, it's very reasonably priced for a city wedding.
The day of the wedding, everything was set up exactly how I imagined, with little direction. Nina was my bridal attendant. She was entertaining and accommodating. The rest of the Tremont staff was fantastic and so personable. The entire night I had guests telling me that it was like they were at a celebrity wedding. If anything went wrong that day, I was not privy to it and I appreciated that very much.
I didn't actually eat any dinner at the reception, but at the tasting, the food was all very good. I did hear from a few of my guests after the fact that their steaks were a little rare. The portions are plentiful.
Compared to the venue, the hotel was just okay. When our families arrived to check in on Friday, we had to wait over a half hour for a valet to pick up our cars, and another hour for any bellhop to get our luggage. They also mixed up rooms and gave some guests keys to rooms that were already taken by other people. However, when the problems arose, they were quick to remedy. I stayed in the two bedroom suite, which had plenty of room for my bridal party to get ready.

The Tremont Grand is a beautiful venue that had everything we were looking for all in one place. It was very convenient for our guests to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one location. We appreciated that we had a separate room for each part of our wedding.
Our coordinator, Lauren, was amazing. She was very responsive and helped with every aspect of the wedding. She provided great advice for general wedding things and for other vendors. The event staff was equally great and made sure that all of our guests were well taken care of.
Our biggest problem with the Tremont was working with the sales staff at the beginning stages of our planning. Delia, our sales representative, was impossible to reach, did not respond to emails, and did not send our contracts in a timely manner. Thankfully we only had to work with her while we were in the initial contract stage. After that, we exclusively worked with our coordinator, Lauren, who was (again) amazing.
If you're planning a wedding in the Baltimore area, definitely check out the Tremont Grand.

My wedding reminded you of what you would see on david Taturo on My Fair Wedding. The event coordinator Ashley was great. She made my vision come to life and the wedding running on time. She made sure I was taken care and the rest of the bridal party.

The Tremont was amazing and I am so very glad that we decided to go with them. The ceremony was in the Edinburgh room, cocktail hour in Oriental Room and reception in Mirror Room. The whole day was perfect, service was amazing and everything went smoothly. There were a couple hiccups (as can happen anywhere), but they were dealt with professionally. I had allergies and my nose was running that morning and the bridal attendant went to CVS and got me allergy medicine!! How amazing is that? So very thoughtful and attentive.
I felt we got quality food and the venue was amazing for what we paid.

So flexible, so accommodating, so friendly, and just the most beautiful venue out there. Somewhat pricey, but best bang for your buck too - the price is flat rate covering everything unless you want major upgrades. No nickel and diming along the way.

We were so lucky to have had our New Years Eve wedding at such a beautiful venue. We had a vintage themed wedding and the Roman Strada room and the Corinthian room went perfect with that theme. Yes, we paid a little extra because of the night, but my husband and I have NO regrets on doing so.
Everyone from the wait staff, to the bartenders, the valet, so friendly!! About two months after we signed the papers we were assigned a wedding coordinator...and I'm so thankful I got AMY! Not to say anything negative about the others there, because I only worked with her, but she could not have been more helpful! She helped me plan details by offering suggestions of what she's seen before, she coordinated times with all the vendors so I didn't have to, she helped push for the one photograph I really wanted (sparklers :), and she was just there! Then on the night of, we also had a bridal attendant, Holly. She was always there to offer a drink or anything we needed.
The food was amazing! No little portions here! There was more than enough food for cocktail hour and everything tasted so good! And for our meals, the steaks were perfectly cooked as well as the salmon. And full sizes, not the small portions you are used to at a wedding. The Chef even came out to ask if my husband and I were enjoying our food!
So many personal touch points at this place, I really can't say enough! Our guests even commented on how friendly and attentive the staff was. And they loved seeing them enjoying themselves as well. The bartenders were dancing and having fun too! Truly an experience I will never forget!

My wedding at the Tremont was spectacular and as most of my guests stated, "the most beautiful wedding we've [they've] ever been to". Our coordinator, Lauren, was fantastic. Very quick and prompt to reply to emails and very on top of everything. The rooms were beautiful, and the wait staff was on point.
My only possible flaw I could find would be SOME of the food. It was good overall - however they changed how they prepared one of our main dishes. It wasn't as good as before but still good. I guess chefs can change within a 4 - 5 month period? I heard a few complaints about the steak being underdone to the point of being sent back.
In regards to the accommodations - I had about 20 rooms booked with some of my guests that stayed the night of the wedding. All of my guests were so pleased with the quality of the rooms, and the pleasant staff at check-in. Welcome bags were given without a hitch - every one was very happy with their stay! They also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast at Tugs the next morning.
Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend the Tremont to any bride looking for a unique venue.

From the moment you walk through the doors of your initial walk through, the Tremont Grand provides first class- 5 star service! Delia was so wonderful with the site visits and contracts, and Lauren our wedding coordinator could not have been more genuine and accomodating! There was not one detail left undiscussed or finalized. I had my dream wedding come true at the Tremont Grand! It was sheer PERFECTION!

Everyone at Tremont was very nice and helpful and were always very friendly. The venue is beautiful. All the staff were helpful and seemed very professional. The only problem I had was that at the tasting the food was all absolutely delicious, restaurant quality. However on the actual wedding day the steak was very overcooked and dry.

From start to finish, the staff members at the Tremont Grand were perfect. Anyone who is thinking about getting married in Baltimore should HIGHLY consider the Tremont. Our wedding coordinator was extremely organized, and pretty much never told me something couldn't be done. If I had to do it all over again, I'd choose the Tremont every time.

I could not imagine having my wedding ceremony and reception at any other venue. The level of service exceeded all my expectations. The Edinburgh room actually looks like a chapel so the pictures look as though it occurred in a church. Since our wedding was on 12/4/10, we wanted the ceremony and reception to be in one location. The gorgeous rooms and spaces that are available at the Tremont Grand are phenomenal. I'm still getting feedback from guests who are from Baltimore and did not realize that there is an exquisite building with the architectural details in Baltimore. The staff was truly exceptional especially Brandon. He made everything seamless and kept the ceremony and reception on time. I cannot say enough complimentary things about the Tremont Grand!
