The Grand Hotel and Ballroom

This was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding. To be honest, we didn't look at any other venues. Once I walked into the ballroom and saw the old fashioned tin roof with GORGEOUS chandeliers, I was sold. This was where we were going to have our wedding. Also, if you want to have amazing food at your wedding that your guests will continue to rave about months later, you have to book The Grand Hotel. Rick's does an amazing job with the food! Everything was delicious. We have had so many compliments about the food! Megan Lamm was awesome! She made sure we had all the details for our wedding and that everything ran smoothly. She was an absolute charm to work with! :D Overall, it was the best weekend ever. Our wedding party and close family stayed at the hotel with us Friday through Sunday morning. Then we had brunch at Rick's Sunday morning after the wedding. All our guests loved how different each of the rooms were decorated. Jacque was so awesome at accommodating all our needs (and we were kind of needy) but she handled us very well! :D I can't say enough how nice and professional the whole team at The Grand Hotel was. We could not have had a more perfect wedding.

We had our reception here and it was literally perfect. We also stayed in the owners suite (211). When we arrived for the reception they greeted us with champagne and took us to our room to have a second, and then when we entered the ballroom I had a martini already waiting for me at my table. Megan (the wedding coordinator) was so awesome and helpful the entire time we planned and even on the day. By the end of the night, when we got back to our room, all of our gifts were already there. It was just a wonderful experience all around.

This was the most perfect place to have our reception! The room is gorgeous, the food is amazing, the staff is great and they take care of everything! Megan Lamm is the wedding coordinator and she is great. She is on top of everything, friendly and took care of lots of little details I would have forgotten about. My experience using them for my reception and spending my wedding night in the hotel rooms was amazing!

We booked a block of rooms at the Grand Hotel for our wedding. The groom was from Australia and the bride was a local to the DFW area. We weren't sure how many guests were going to be able to come over so we booked up the whole hotel and ended up dropping a few of the rooms closer to the event. We really loved the flexibility that the Grand Hotel allowed in their room blocks. They were so easy to work with! Jacque was always willing to answer incessant questions about bookings and constantly make changes. She was really good and so kind! We never had time to make welcome bags for our guests, but the hotel (with the help of the city) put a bag in each of our rooms full of a few goodies and some pamphlets on things to do in McKinney. Nice touch! The two suites are fantastic! The grand suite (the larger of the two suites) has lots of windows and tons of natural light! The only thing missing is a refrigerator. The owner's suite is slightly smaller, but is located in the old wing of the hotel and does have a mini-fridge. Amazing hotel, guests loved it! And we were able to have our rehearsal and brunch at the restaurant attached. That was amazing too!

Hands down the best experience of the wedding. Shawna and melody are amazing along with the rest of the staff. Shawna took us by the hand at our food tasting and went over every detail of the wedding. All my friends said they had something that went wrong at their wedding and they couldn't enjoy the wedding as much as they wish they could. I think because shawna and the grand hotel were so organized we had no issues at all.

LOVED it as did all of the guests!! The big suite 401 was perfect for all the ladies getting ready the morning of... and perfect to come back to after all the days events!

The Grand Hotel was the perfect place for a reception and for guest to stay all weekend. We were taken care of so well by everyone at the hotel. I have no complaints and couldn't be happier with our wedding weekend. AMAZING customer service!

I can not say enough wonderful things about my wedding at the Grand Hotel. Shawna and Melanie and their entire staff went leaps and bounds out of their way to help me get the wedding of our dreams. The customer service at the Grand is unmatched. Not only did we have our reception there, but most of our guests also spend the weekend there. Every detail and guest was accounted for and I got so many compliments the entire weekend. Thanks so much for a wonderful and memorable weekend! I already can't wait to go back and spend my one year anniversary there!

My wedding reception was recently held at The Grand Hotel and Ballroom and I was so impressed with the great service we received throughout the entire process as well as the wedding itself. The food catered by Rick's Chophouse was really good and the Ballroom itself is so beautiful. The wedding coordinator's for the hotel are very friendly and easy to work with. They went out of their way to make sure my event ran smoothly. We were also very impressed by the hotel itself. Great service, charming rooms, and good food! Many of our guests stayed there as well and had nothing but positive comments. I look forward to returning to The Grand Hotel and Rick's Chophouse for anniversaries!

The Grand Hotel & Ballroom is the greatest! We can not say enough about this venue and the employees! Everyone there is so nice and helpful! They go out of their way to make your day so special! The place is absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to go back for our 1yr Anniversary!
