is so orgnized, replies to e-mails so quickly, and is so helpful, every step of the way! She is so friendly and welcoming that you feel comfortable trusting her with your wedding details! The chef was great, too! It's always reassuring when people love what they do, and this chef defiantly does! Meals for almost 250 people came out hot and they were delicious!! Everything was perfect! The hotel was extremely accomadating, friendly, and clean. We were blown away with how amazing the Penthouse Ballroom looked for our reception, the view and how good the food tasted. Can't wait to come back and visit The Grand ! As a bride, I could not have wished or hoped for anything different!!!

She truly went above and beyond for us to ensure our reception was a truly memorable experience. Not only is she very responsive to our emails and questions (day or night), but she is very efficient and offers very creative suggestions and ideas. She also knows a bunch of wonderful vendors which made the wedding planning go so much easier. Katlyn is also so personable and friendly, that we still plan on keeping in touch with her. What started out as strictly a professional relationship evolved into a long-lasting friendship. The prices are also very reasonable. We highly recommend the Grand Hotel and Katlyn as your wedding venue.

The food - actually good, not just good for wedding food good. A few of our guests stayed the weekend and had nothing but the best experience because the hotel itself is really lovely, the beach is 10 steps away. I will never forget how perfect our wedding was because of The Grand and Katlyn, it will forever be apart of our story and it could not have been a more amazing, magical and memorable experience from the beginning. the wedding planner was attentive, creative, responsive, and super positive. We felt like we were her family. The upper ballroom is a stunning venue with spectacular views and a grandness that cannot be surpassed. Cocktail hour was fun with the bartenders attending quickly to our guests supplying them with delicious specialty cocktails per requests. Butlered hors d'oeuvres flowed seamlessly and seemed to never end. Katlyn kept us on schedule so we got beautiful beach photos and still could enjoy cocktail hour. The dinner filet is a crowd pleaser for sure as well as the salmon; you can't go wrong with their menu. Portions were gracious and left over were just as yummy! The band sounded great in the ballroom and the staff was polite and attentive. Water glasses were always filled and the staff helped set up and break down our decorations. After party at Hemingway's with snacks and dancing was a fabulous place to extend the fun! We look back on this event with much joy and happiness. Thank you, Katlyn and the wonderful staff who made our reception so wonderfully perfect!

mily has been coming to Cape May for years and now my parents have a house in the Villas. We have always adored Cape May and hoped that someday it was going to be the place we devoted ourselves to one another. The moment we walked into the Grand Hotel and met Katlyn Mogavero, I knew the Grand was going to be where my husband and I would get married. Katlyn was(is) personable, excited, professional, thorough and FUN from the very beginning. I went with my mom to view the venue for the first time without thinking I would book it right then and there but I did because of Katlyn :). I called my husband and told him I had to book because of how much I loved Katlyn and what the Grand Hotel had to offer. Katlyn was a major reason that we booked at this venue and I am ELATED that we did. I trusted her with everything! Katlyn was extremely prompt in responding whenever myself or my family had questions regarding planning. She was available for us and made everything feel so smooth in the planning. This was HUGE for us in not having to worry about any confusion or communication delays. We had our ceremony in the sundeck (which is weather permitting- we dodged a bullet because it did rain most of the day except for when we did our pictures and had our ceremony outside!). It was perfect :) The food was AMAZING! When we did our tasting, we were truly impressed with what the chef had to offer. My husband is a chef so he can be hard to please at times so when he was impressed, I knew that was a game changer. All of our guests were raving about the food that night And into the weekend! We chose Chilean sea bass and herb crusted filet for our entrees and many yummy hors d’oeuvres. Everything was cooked to perfection! The Grand Hotel is a one stop shop, when it comes to guests having a place to stay (and neighboring hotels surrounding if it happens to book up- which ours did for such a large wedding) and having a place for a welcome gathering and afterparty- which was basically a club by the end of the night for us. It was truly just the BEST experience all around. Katlyn and her team made Nic and I feel SO special throughout the whole process of wedding planning and especially on the big day, she made sure that we didn't have much to worry about. She made sure we had food in our bellies, a drink in our hands and our dancing shoes ready. She even pulled me into her office to bustle my dress before the reception and had a glass of my favorite wine delivered to me. Katlyn and her team were so accommodating and made our day feel so special and it was! Katlyn has become a close friend throughout all of the planning of our wedding. She was absolutely a joy to work with and I am very sad that it’s over but glad we have created such a wonderful connection. I recommend the Grand Hotel a million times over!!! From the very first meeting, Katlyn was professional, personable, organized, knowledgeable, fun and efficient. She made us feel comfortable from the minute we shook her hand. When you're newly engaged and have no idea what you're doing when it comes to planning a wedding, I can't emphasize enough how much of a relief it is to have a person like Katlyn in your corner. Throughout the entire process, she guided us along, easing our worries, giving us advice and recommendations through her years of experience in the industry. She helped us pick our table linen colors in less than 5-minutes, a decision I was harping on for far longer than I'd like to admit. She answered every email concisely and with urgency. If all of the above doesn't sell you on The Grand, maybe feedback from our guests might - (The Grand hosted our 160 person wedding reception) -"The food was hot when it came to our table, large portions, and delicious" -"That was one fabulous wedding - the setting, ocean view, food - spectacular" -"The service was phenomenal - friendly, efficient, amazing bar service and wait staff" Everybody at The Grand was so accommodating, answered all of our questions and made hosting a large reception as easy as it could be. I would recommend them over and over again.

Due to the tropical storm, we moved our ceremony to the fifth floor and it was amazing. Katlyn had our back up plan ready and made this change seamless. Our cocktail hour and reception were held on the first floor near and in the grand ballroom! We had a stationed style dinner and all guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about all of the food, cocktail hour included. We have stayed at the Grand Hotel a few times throughout the wedding planning process and plan to return for our anniversary. Everything about our day beautiful and we cannot thank Katlyn or The Grand Hotel enough!

I knew I wanted to get married at the Grand after seeing the amazing views from 5th floor ballroom and the sundeck and it did not disappoint. All the guests complimented the food and I particularly loved the lobster mac and cheese. The banquet staff were wonderful and the ballroom looked awesome. Partying at Hemingways afterwards was also a guest favorite. Amazing venue all around!

She makes herself readily available via email, and overall makes the wedding planning process way easier than usual! All the little details that brides usually worry about, Katlyn always does her best to make sure those things are handled and resolved. Our guests were very impressed regarding how smoothly everything transitioned throughout the day. Staff made sure that leftovers were brought to our room at the end of the evening, decor was properly packed up, and made sure our guests were satisfied. This venue is the perfect location for a classic Jersey Shore style wedding!
