Our wedding journey with The Grand began 13 months before our wedding. The Grand Hotel in Cape May had everything that we were looking for; a beautiful setting facing the ocean, an amazing cocktail/reception room (The Penthouse Ballroom) with amazing views of Cape May, a ton of options with linen colors, a magnificent bar, amazing food, accomodations, outdoor ceremony on their sundeck and an after party at Hemingways on first level of the hotel. The wedding coordinator/planner at the hotel (Katlyn Mogavero) was amazing and worked with us throughout our journey. We would definitely recommend The Grand to anyone considering a wedding in Cape May.

The Grand Hotel could sell itself with the views, atmosphere and location alone; however, my husband and I picked The Grand to host our guests for lodging and our wedding reception because of Katlyn Mogavero (Director of Sales & Marketing, ACPWC Certified Professional, Wedding Planner). From the very first meeting, Katlyn was professional, personable, organized, knowledgeable, fun and efficient. She made us feel comfortable from the minute we shook her hand. When you're newly engaged and have no idea what you're doing when it comes to planning a wedding, I can't emphasize enough how much of a relief it is to have a person like Katlyn in your corner. Throughout the entire process, she guided us along, easing our worries, giving us advice and recommendations through her years of experience in the industry. She helped us pick our table linen colors in less than 5-minutes, a decision I was harping on for far longer than I'd like to admit. She answered every email concisely and with urgency. If all of the above doesn't sell you on The Grand, maybe feedback from our guests might - (The Grand hosted our 160 person wedding reception) -"The food was hot when it came to our table, large portions, and delicious" -"That was one fabulous wedding - the setting, ocean view, food - spectacular" -"The service was phenomenal - friendly, efficient, amazing bar service and wait staff" Everybody at The Grand was so accommodating, answered all of our questions and made hosting a large reception as easy as it could be. I would recommend them over and over again.

We got married on August 8, 2024 and it was amazing!! We love Katlyn and The Grand Hotel! Katlyn made the wedding planning process so easy. She helped us through each step of the wedding planning process, was super organized and attentive, and a ray of sunshine throughout the entire process! The Grand Hotel is beautiful! Due to the tropical storm, we moved our ceremony to the fifth floor and it was amazing. Katlyn had our back up plan ready and made this change seamless. Our cocktail hour and reception were held on the first floor near and in the grand ballroom! We had a stationed style dinner and all guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about all of the food, cocktail hour included. We have stayed at the Grand Hotel a few times throughout the wedding planning process and plan to return for our anniversary. Everything about our day beautiful and we cannot thank Katlyn or The Grand Hotel enough!

We planned our wedding in less than 6 months. Katlyn at The Grand Hotel was absolutely amazing! She walked us through every detail including recommending wonderful vendors. Ultimately our wedding was an absolutely perfect day/weekend. Every detail was perfect. We were not stressed at all during planning and wedding. Our guests raved about everything. The food was awesome! We plan to come back for a getaway, maybe an anniversary celebration, and our guests all want to return as well!

You will not regret getting married at the Grand Hotel! We tied the knot in May 2024 and our wedding was everything we were hoping for and more! The wedding coordinator, Katlyn, is attentive, super communicative, and brings a burst of positive energy that sets the mood of the wedding from day one of meeting her all the way up to and through the big day. Getting married on the beach is a dream - but many places require permits. The GH takes care of that and has breath-taking views from its 5th floor ballroom. All the guests complimented the amazing food and said there was SO much of it too. The banquet staff were wonderful and the ballroom looked awesome. On the day of our wedding, the entire staff at the Grand Hotel went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Katlyn was there to help us since the beginning (answering all of our emails) and even provided a detailed list of what is needed for the big day. We had a room block for our guests and everyone was happy with their rooms. Overall, our experience at the Grand Hotel surpassed all expectations. We are forever grateful to everyone at the Grand Hotel for making our special day truly unforgettable and would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a magical wedding.

We got married at the Grand in April of 2024 and our wedding was a spring dream! Katlyn is absolutely the best to work with and is super friendly, organized and responsive. We absolutely loved working with her and the other friendly staff at the Grand. I knew I wanted to get married at the Grand after seeing the amazing views from 5th floor ballroom and the sundeck and it did not disappoint. All the guests complimented the food and I particularly loved the lobster mac and cheese. The banquet staff were wonderful and the ballroom looked awesome. Partying at Hemingways afterwards was also a guest favorite. Amazing venue all around!

My husband and I got married at The Grand Hotel on August 26, 2023. The venue was everything we were looking for. It had a beautiful view, the food was delicious and the hotel itself was so clean and had very friendly staff. From the day we met the wedding coordinator, Katlyn, she was absolutely fabulous to work with! She was one of the main reasons we chose The Grand as our wedding venue. Everything you read about her online is so true! She is so personable and paid attention to every detail. She made the wedding planning process so easy. She is so organized, and she provided us with so much helpful information and ideas. She was very responsive to all of our emails, no matter what time of day or week it was. She would respond to us very quickly. She helped make or wedding day everything we could have envisioned it to be. We were so happy with our decision to have out wedding with The Grand Hotel of Cape May & Katlyn!

The Grand Hotel in Cape May was the PERFECT reception venue for our wedding at the beach! The staff were all extremely professional and kind. Katlyn Mogavero, the venue wedding coordinator, was AMAZING and helped us throughout the planning process from the minute we booked our date until the final song of our wedding night:) We could not have asked for a more wonderful person to have as our day of coordinator!! The food was amazing, drinks were flowing, and the decor set up was everything we could have dreamed of and more! As the bride and groom, we did not worry about anything other than enjoying the night with each other and our family and friends. We would recommend the Grand Hotel to our closet loved ones. 10/10! Katlyn is absolutely amazing. She coordinated everything with all our vendors and made the day go smooth and easy for us! Food and drinks were spectacular. Location is great and ceremony and reception space was just what we were looking for. I wish Katlyn could coordinate all my parties for the rest of time!

Katlyn, the wedding coordinator for the hotel, will become your best friend! Not only is she a coordinator, but she is also a certified wedding planner. She makes herself readily available via email, and overall makes the wedding planning process way easier than usual! All the little details that brides usually worry about, Katlyn always does her best to make sure those things are handled and resolved. Our guests were very impressed regarding how smoothly everything transitioned throughout the day. Staff made sure that leftovers were brought to our room at the end of the evening, decor was properly packed up, and made sure our guests were satisfied. This venue is the perfect location for a classic Jersey Shore style wedding!

The Grand Hotel was a perfect venue for our destination wedding! Katlyn was great at helping us through the entire planning process! She was quick to respond to any questions we had and was extremely helpful at coordinating the vendors when we had to move our ceremony inside due to rain. The food was delicious and the preferred vendor list (along with Katlyn's guidance) made finding local vendors easy. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better day and are grateful to the team for making our wedding perfect and memorable!

Absolute perfection!! My husband and I got married here October 2022 and we couldn't be happier with the turn out. Everything went flawless. We received countless compliments about the venue, food, staff, and accommodations. I can't say enough about Katlyn...she is a wedding planner god send. She was incredible from day one. She helped guide us throughout the entire planning process, answered all of my emails literally almost immediately, and made sure our day was perfect. Katlyn and the team decorated for our ceremony and reception exactly how we wanted and we honestly didn't have to worry about anything all day. The Grand is exactly what I envisioned for our day. We got married here in October 2022. If The Grand Hotel is apart of your search, look no further. We had a 200 person wedding and I can honestly say I’ve never heard more compliments from our guests about the venue. From the staff, to the food, to the accommodations, the cleanliness, everything was beyond perfect. Not to mention, Katlyn just blew everything out of the water. She made sure we did not have one ounce of stress throughout our planning process, always handled everything with such grace, and was ALWAYS available when I needed her during the planning process. Like literally ALWAYS answered my emails within 5 minutes. She is such a wonderful person who you can really tell loves what she does. She was the reason we chose the venue and the reason as to why our wedding day was perfect from beginning to end. Best venue, food, accommodations, room and staff EVER!

My husband and I went into wedding planning with zero clue about what we were walking into. The first venue and last venue we looked at was The Grand. We got married here on Oct 29,2022. Everything was amazing. From the first time we spoke to Katlyn we knew we were in good hands. Over the months of planning she answered every question we had, and there were many. She gave us a large list of vendors for everything we could need and they were fantastic. The weekend of our wedding she had everything handled so that we could just relax and enjoy our special time. The venue itself, ceremony areas, as well as banquet rooms are beautiful. The food and drinks were amazing. All of our guests loved their rooms. The staff truly went above and beyond to take care of us. I would highly recommend Katlyn, and The Grand Hotel for your wedding.

My husband and I got married here October 1st, despite a hurricane this weekend everything was perfect! Although we wanted to get married out on the sundeck, the contingency plan for having our ceremony indoors couldn't have been any more amazing. Katlyn, Kelly Anne and the rest of the staff really went out of their way to ensure our day was as fantastic as it could possibly be. The views from the cocktail hour room and ballroom are unrivaled. We got married last weekend and couldn’t be happier with our experience at the Grand. The view in the penthouse ballroom is amazing, the food was great and service was outstanding (special thanks to Dawn). Most importantly, Katlyn is absolutely incredible. My husband and I got married at The Grand Hotel on 10/15/22 and it was the most beautiful day. Katlyn and her team ensured everything went absolutely perfectly. I got married here in May and throughout the entire process Kaitlyn made it an easy process. She made sure from the moment we signed our contract until the day after our wedding that we were comfortable, had all we needed and was beyond organized. I couldn’t recommend the Grand Hotel any more for a wedding! It was absolutely unfortunate that it rained but Kaitlyn made sure I was happy with having the indoor ceremony.

I cannot recommend the Grand Hotel more for everyone's wedding day! From the moment my husband and I walked in to speak with Katlyn in December 2020 as we were venue hunting to July 17, 2022 when we got married everything was perfect! Katlyn and her staff go above and beyond to ensure that your day goes as best and amazing as possible! The Grand was our first venue stop and I was hooked on the view, Katlyn’s attention to detail and the fact I didn’t need to ask her one question off of my list as she answered most just getting on the elevator before looking at the ballrooms. When we left I told Brian I think this is it and it was, even though we looked a few places also! If we were to get married again we would be back at the Grand and no other looking needed! (But, hey, there is ALWAYS vow renewal) Thank you for making our day the best ever!!

The best part of having your wedding here is hands down Katlyn, the wedding coordinator. She is the most amazing person to work with and will answer you in record time. I must have emailed her hundreds of times and no question was too small. She is the absolute best. The food is also amazing with people still raving about the buffet choices! If I could rate this venue higher than a 5 I would!

Katlyn, the venue coordinator, will become your best friend and is one of the fastest email responders I've ever met in my life! We can't say enough about The Grand Hotel. It was more beautiful and special than we imagined. The food was excellent, the reception room was perfect, the service was on top of every request, the rooms were comfortable and the ceremony was perfect. The most important detail of our wedding was Katlyn Mogavero, the Grand’s Wedding Planner. Katlyn was available for every question along the way, no request was too much for her. We were supposed to have a beach wedding and at the last minute the rain pushed us inside. Katlyn quickly created a beautiful ceremony space inside and I never missed the beach. Our families loved the event from Friday through Sunday. We would recommend the Grand to anyone looking for a beautiful memorable event in Cape May.

Katlyn and the staff at the Grand Hotel made our day absolutely perfect. We had our ceremony on the Sundeck and there were dolphins jumping behind us as we got married. Our cocktail hour and reception were on the 5th floor penthouse. Many of our guests shared that it was the nicest venue they have been to. There are views of the ocean throughout the space. We had the most amazing day and Katlyn was key in making it happen!

Katlyn and her team at The Grand Hotel are simply the BEST! From our first meeting to our special day, Katlyn was with us every step of the way to ensure the wedding reception of our dreams. Her quick communication and enthusiasm made planning the reception a joy. We never experienced any stress when it came to The Grand, and it really helped us to keep our "eye on the prize" when wedding stress, in other areas, invariably came along. The staff are fantastic as well. We felt completely spoiled during our tasting, and when the big day came along, the members of the waitstaff were attentive and friendly. Our signature cocktails were delicious and the food was a huge hit with our guests. Management was also kind and solicitous and made us feel so very special. They executed the reception flawlessly, checking in with us throughout the evening and guiding us along. If there were any fires to put out, we were not aware of them! We cannot overstate how wonderful it was to work with Katlyn, and how meaningful it was that every single member of staff showed us sincere warmth. Everyone involved was so very lovely that I feel this review will not fully do them justice and wish I could thank each and every person individually. They made us feel like family. Our hearts are full and we cannot thank everyone at The Grand enough for making our reception more beautiful than we could have ever hoped for. Do not hesitate! Come for the ballroom and ocean views, stay for Katlyn and the phenomenal staff! It will be the easiest decision you make!

We chose the Grand Hotel for both our ceremony and reception and are so happy we did! Katlyn was the best. She helped every step of the way, made sure all emails and phone calls were answered immediately and was there the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly. The staff working our wedding were attentive and so helpful. All our guests RAVED about the food, the ballroom and hotel itself. We had our ceremony on the outdoor deck and reception on their 5th floor ballroom- if we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing. The Grand Hotel is the perfect wedding venue!

The Grand Hotel was wonderful place for my daughter's wedding. Katlyn was soooo very accommodating, attentive, very easy to work with and her staff did a wonderful job with everything. She got back to me very quickly on any and everything I needed! The food was great no disappointment whatsoever! We celebrated our wedding on October 30th, 2021 at The Grand Hotel. The planning process with Katlyn was a breeze. We used a majority of their recommended vendors to which we owe each of them their own 5 star review. Through our planning process Katlyn was always quick to respond to our inquiries and requests. Katlyn and her team helped make our big day run so smooth. The Grand Ballroom was so elegant and the food and service from the wait staff and bartenders was fantastic. We loved that we could have all of our events at the same location from rehearsal dinner to the after party at Hemingways. Katlyn was incredibly organized without it being overwhelming or stressful. The day of our wedding we didnt have to worry about anything!! It really couldn't have been a more perfect day!!

We had our wedding at another location, but had our overnight accommodation room block set up at the Grand Hotel and they were wonderful to work with - specifically Katlyn! She was extremely responsive and helpful with both our room block for the wedding weekend and other stays we needed for wedding planning appointments throughout the year. Easily one of the largest hotels in the area with great prices for a great location. You can't beat this at the shore!

Our wedding day ended up being so much more perfect than we ever imagined it could be! A little over a month later, and our wedding guests are still saying it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever attended. After getting engaged at the Grand, we knew it was one of our first options as a wedding venue, and working with their wedding planner, Katlyn Mogavero, assured us that we made the right decision. Katlyn was always responsive even on her days off from work. She was the voice of calm and reason during a few stressful times due to still planning a wedding during the pandemic. She was always positive and made sure to communicate any updates immediately. Our experience with our food tasting prior to the wedding was so personalized, and on our wedding day, guests raved about the food. They also loved the bartenders who were so friendly the entire evening! Katlyn and her team handled every detail on our wedding day allowing us to relax and take in all of the moments knowing we were in great hands. We would definitely recommend the Grand to anyone looking for a shore wedding. From the ocean views of our cocktail hour on the sundeck and at our reception in the penthouse ballroom, to the hotel accommodations that allowed so many of our guests to make an entire weekend out of the wedding, and the Grand’s staff, especially Katlyn, it truly was the best day ever. We already can’t wait to return to the Grand to relive memories from our wedding day!

I was so happy to have picked The Grand Hotel for our wedding venue. The food was amazing, the ballroom is beautiful and most important the wedding planner Katlyn was absolutely wonderful. WOW! Wedding of our dreams is an understatement!!! From the hotel providing anything we could ever ask for, to the BEST BEST BEST wedding coordinator ever! Katlyn could not have been MORE than helpful through our entire wedding planning, despite a pandemic and everything else in between! Katlyn had an answer for everything and a positive outlook for our whole day! From meeting with us to give us some background of The Grand to teaching me how to cut a piece of cake for our first slice as Mr and Mrs, Katlyn was there for it all and I couldn’t have thought of anyone else I wanted to be with me through every tear and exciting moment!! I walked away with not only the best experience, but someone to cheer us on for life! As for the hotel itself, we could not have had more of an accommodating situation!! Originally going to the 5th floor penthouse for our reception to the outdoor Sundeck, I couldn’t have asked for more! The Sundeck, covered in twinkle lights for the night time (my dream), could not have made for a better wedding! From the servers to the food, everything was perfection!! The hotel rooms were the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in and the front desk was so helpful anytime I called or went to ask a question. COVID or not, our experience was the best we could have possibly asked for! When thinking of somewhere to stay or somewhere to hold the best night of your life, The Grand Hotel will be there for anything!!

I would hands down recommend the Grand to ANYONE who has ears. Not only are the views of the beach perfect, but the event planning process was so easy! Katlyn and her assistant Danielle were helpful, encouraging, and honestly- the best feature of the hotel!! The beach ceramony was all taken care of (set up and take down) by the grand, which relieved a lot of stress. katlyn was organized, and her experience in the industry showed. plus, it helps that all of my guests raved about our food (flounder and filet). words cant describe how happy I am that we celebrated at the grand of cape may!

The Grand Hotel was the perfect place for our wedding. This is something you can’t know until your wedding is underway, so please take my review to heart. All the unknown of the impending wedding can be stressful, so once you pick the right venue and pick it with confidence, the rest of the details can be very fun. All night and for days after, guests told us how it was such a great wedding, best they’ve ever been to. We looked at 6 venues in Cape May before we met with the best wedding coordinator, Katlyn Mogavero. When we walked in, we had a good feeling. 10 minutes into talking to Katlyn, we had no doubt. She is so good at her job that I felt a weight lift. The Grand has their packages and price option on their website. You know exactly how much you can optionally add on. We wanted the beach and the town of Cape May. The Grand Hotel gave us both those things, plus a full ballroom for a formal wedding setting AT the beach and IN the Victorian town of CM. The views are the best. The Penthouse Ballroom for the cocktail and reception has almost panoramic beach view. It is gorgeous. The ballroom creates a glamorous vibe at the beach. You get the option of a beach, sundeck or inside ceremony. If you choose a beach wedding, it is directly across the street. It is so close to the cocktail hour and reception, that guests who may be traveling a distance could not be more thrilled. They also have a tiki bar outside by the pool and a full restaurant on the main floor. All this makes the guests experience so convenient. Another guest convenience is the room block. They offered an unbeatable price for our guests. The Grand is one of the nicest hotels in a town full of hotels and they make it a no brainer for your guests to stay close. Cape May is a destination so approx. half of our guests stayed 2-4 nights. There is so much to do before and after the wedding. This helped extend our amazing day. We met friends for brunch. Then met more friends on the beach for the day. Then we met everyone at a restaurant down the street for Saturday night. People took their own time to go sightseeing. Cape May is the best and The Grand Hotel is the best venue. Katlyn is immediately is likable, which is a nice quality in the person orchestrating your whole wedding. More importantly, Katlyn executes. She runs the whole thing from the minute we visited the venue. She has all the expert advice. It was like a fairy god mother with all the answers. I assume years of experience have helped her to iron any potential pitfalls and leave no open-ended questions. She has a huge list. As you make decisions on ceremony details, cocktail and reception details, vendors, she marks each thing off your list and sends an updated one so the bride and groom can refocus and not feel overwhelmed. Katlyn makes herself available to answer all your questions. She has a solid trusted vendor list. In the end, I picked almost every single of her top preferred vendor. Trust her judgment! It will make your experience even more enjoyable. The week of the wedding is still a lot of details. That is when I was talking to her even more frequently. She is always in touch. Katlyn and her assistant, Danielle Muratore, run the wedding rehearsal on your schedule too. She walks the whole family through the rehearsal even if your minister can’t make it. The day of both Katlyn and Danielle are on top of everything.

The Grand Hotel was the first venue we looked at for our wedding and we instantly knew it was where we wanted to hold our wedding. Not only is the venue amazing (great location, breathtaking views, and gorgeous options for ceremony and reception), but Katlyn, their wedding planner, was exceptional in making sure everything was exactly what we wanted (actually, it went beyond our expectations!). She and the rest of the team made my wedding perfect and stress-free. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us to make our day extra special. I would definitely recommend this venue to any brides looking for a beachy wedding!!

The Grand Hotel was fabulous! Event planner Katlyn Molgavero and her crew were the BEST! We held my daughter's wedding there on 10.5.19. Katlyn allowed me to create the look I wanted and the Grand embellished it. All the guests raved about the food and the ambiance. Katlyn handled all the tough stuff which allowed my daughter and son-in-law to shine. The sundeck was the perfect location for a beachfront wedding. Everyone at the Grand made the weekend very special. Katlyn is the best event planner I have ever worked with.

The Grand Hotel was a great selection for our wedding day. We were originally drawn to it because of their penthouse ballroom (with it’s gorgeous panoramic view) and their beachfront property. It only gets better from there. Their event coordinator Katlyn is very knowledgeable and is a huge asset during the planning process. She keeps you on track and makes sure you have everything set to have a stress free experience the day of. The food is absolutely wonderful, we got so many compliments from our guests. The rooms of the hotel are very comfortable making it a great one stop shop for a full wedding weekend. I would recommend the Grand Hotel to anyone planning a beach front wedding!

My husband and I could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding. The Grand Hotel not only has a perfect ocean front view, a beautiful pent house ballroom and amazing food but also incredible service. Katlyn was with us every step for the planning process and with her team helped to make it the best day of our lives.

The Grand Hotel is a dream venue for a wedding. The views from the sundeck and ballroom are stunning. The best part of the Grand however is hands down Katlyn and her team. From the moment we toured the Grand from our wedding day she put me at ease and made us feel like family. Katlyn goes above and beyond for her brides (and grooms!) and never failed to answer any of our many questions/address any concerns we had. I don't think a single thing went wrong on our wedding day and we couldn't have done it without her!
