We are OVER THE MOON with our experience with the Grand Promenade. Compared to other venues, Promenade facilitates flexibility. Just about everything is included in their venue package, which was such a big point for us when deciding which venue to go for. Christa, the coordinator, was so amazing throughout the whole process. It was cool to meet with our other vendors and have them know her by name since she has worked with the venue for years. Tish was also amazing the day of! Everyone went above and beyond!
This place was a perfect place for our wedding. Christa worked with us on every detail. And when our wedding planner quit on us 30 days before the wedding. Christa and her team stepped up to help calm cuz and provide a lot of guidance and did a lot of leg work so we didn't have to. The day of our wedding the venue was great. They set everything up quickly, had the food spot on and helped with the cake. The entire team was great.
This place was absolutely PERFECT for our wedding we just had in February. The location, the food, the venue coordinator Christa, and the staff were all wonderful. Our party of 85 seemed to perfectly fill the ceremony and dining area, but of course it had room for much more. The stage that's provided sets up the dance floor perfectly. The balcony allows smoking, which was perfect for a 'cigar bar' that we set up.
What I loved most about the location is that it's right across the street from the Alamo and allowed for a horse and carriage to take us away with ease of access/pickup. We cut our wedding off at 9/9:30 and had a immediate after party at Pat O'Brien's which proved to be a great turnout. As guests have the choice of hitting the Piano Bar, outdoor patio for live music or upstairs dance floor for a cluby environment.
10/10 my wife had an EXCELLENT experience here and would recommend to anyone. Christa was an absolute delight to work with as she pretty much allowed anything we wanted for our wedding, and was very responsive and communicative the entire step of the way.
This venue was a great place to host our wedding! Great location and Christa, the event planner went above and beyond to make sure our day was exactly what we wanted! Food was great, and over all experience was easy going and flexible!
I was here for a formal event on April 28th 2018 and had everything stolen from me from a member of the wait staff! Don't trust this venue! Phone, wallet, checkbook, cards ALL of it was gone after the staff came through and picked up dishes off the tables. Whoever did it has tried writing checks and tried to open up at least 3 credit cards so far under my name!
I know It was not done by anyone from our group, because we are all from out of town and we had the whole venue rented out for the night. I tracked my phone to the kitchen area where the staff was but if unfortunately died before we could find it. SAPD are involved. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL that you pay so much money and cant even trust your wait staff!
Christa and Corbey were wonderful to work with. They handled all my numerous emails and were responsive. The bartenders were very attentive to my groom and myself.
We absolutely LOVED this venue. Totally recommend it for anyone having an event. I went here for a wedding and everything from where its located to the very last touch of decor was PERFECT. Seriously one of the best venues in SA hands down.

We are so happy with our choice to have the Grand Promenade for our wedding reception. Not only did the look and feel go with our Harry Potter theme but the service was also top notch. The food was amazing and their package deals made it very easy to choose something that fit exactly what we were looking for. It’s location was extremely convenient as there are several parking options and hotels nearby for guests to stay. Several of our family and friends decided to continue the party and hit downtown San Antonio in style. So if you are looking for great value and awesome location you should really go with them.
The venue is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the entire staff was wonderful.
I loved everything about this venue.
We had our rehearsal dinner in the Briar's Suite at Pat O' Brien's & we had such a great time!! The food we selected from their menu was delicious & the drinks were so good!! Hurricane's were the popular choice & I highly recommend them. The service we had was excellent & there was no hassle in the planning stages. The only negative thing we heard was that the bathrooms could've been cleaner. I understand it is a bar but maybe some better care & attention to the bathrooms upstairs. Thank you again for such great food & service!!
Jessica was amazingly helpful. Beautiful space on its own. very spacious.
Gorgeous venue, delicious food, and amazing staff! We had our wedding reception in the Grand Promenade, and it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. The venue is both stunning and unique, and the space was perfect for our 200 guests. Everyone raved about the food, and the Pat O'Brien's specialty cocktails were much enjoyed. Furthermore, the staff went above and beyond to make our reception an amazing experience. Jessica worked with us from the very beginning and was so knowledgeable, helpful, and caring throughout the whole process. She responded to any questions I had almost immediately, and she made sure that our reception was everything we could have wanted.
From the very beginning of the planning process, we had fantastic help planning and setting things up. There was no pressure and many helpful suggestions from Jessica. This is a gorgeous venue! The staff is fantastic and the food was wonderful. I could not have asked for a better experience! I would highly recommend The Grand Promenade!
Awesome place to go if you want lots of entertainment that is laid back! We had a great time with lots of great drinks and laughs.
The rooms has a rustic appearance and is very spacious. We had just under 100 guests and there was plenty of room to have a cocktail hour and then a separate reception area. The dance floor and space for the DJ is great. Then service from the staff was exceptional. Our guests commented how they cleared the tables efficiently and were very friendly and courteous. The bar is big and you have the option of adding additional bartendar for only a minimum cost. The food was delicious and tasty. The rental of the venue is nominal in comparison to other venues and you get so much more with Pat O'Briens than other locations. It was a wonderful evening.
I planned my wedding long distance. The manager at The Grand Promenade, Christa, was fabulous. She was always quick to return my call or email. She was so very easy to work with. My reception was the only thing in my whole wedding process that was stress-free. I would recommend!:)
The first day we walked in to the Grand Promenade at Pat O'Brien's, my daughter and her fiancee knew this is where they wanted to have thier wedding! My husband and I accompanied my daughter and now son in law to the meeting with the venue coordinator, Crystal. As soon as we met Crystal, we knew that everything was going to be perfect for the wedding! Crystal was very warm, friendly, and caring. She wanted to go above and beyond from the moment my daughter and son in law told her thier plans. The room is beautiful and historical, it has full length windows, and a rock wall, and wood floors, you can have any type of wedding your heart desires, because the room changes with the decor people choose for thier weddings. Poor Crystal got to deal with me, mother of the bride (nicknamed myself "momzilla") because my daughter and son in law live out of state, so she got to deal with me. After hundreds of emails and meeting at the venue, we finally got to the wedding day. Crystal was there bright and early and was ready to help. She was a god send on a crazy day. Crystal helped us set up decorations, she made sure everything looked beautiful and was in place. She calmed down my daughter and myself several times...she is amazing to work with. My daughter's wedding turned out beautiful, the food was amazing (try the spinach dip, something you will never find anywhere else), and Crystal stood by us thru the entire event. There are no words to describe how blessed we were to find this venue. If you are thinking about a wedding, or even a party, you must visit the Grand Promenade at Pat O'Brien's, you will be amazed what a treasure they have hidding upstairs.... thanks again Crystal, we could not have done it without you!
We did our rehearsal dinner at Pat O's, and we had around 70-80 guests. We used the larger room but only the side with the fancy bar close to the elevators. It was a great space and we had plenty of room to mingle betweeb tables.
The bar was beautiful and they kept their famous drinks coming. The food was pretty good...we had chicken with a couple of sauce choices and veggies. The crawfish etouffee was not the best, but the bread pudding was awesome.
I would definitely recommend this venue for a celebration such as this.
They were amazing and I have nothing but good things to say about the atmosphere. The patio holds a ton of people and you just cant beat the hurricanes!
This venue is a gem. We used the Briar's Suite for our ceremony and reception and it was absolutely gorgeous! The staff was excellent and handled setup and cleanup. They took care of the centerpieces for free. There were no hidden fees. The location coordinator was receptive to our ideas to make our wedding unique. All in all, it was everything you could ask for and the price is amazingly inexpensive! It was $500 to reserve the space and then you only pay for the meal (starts at $21/person). They do require that they cater, but they did an excellent job and you can bring in whoever you like for the cake. I wouldn't have done anything differently. All the guests raved about what a beautiful wedding we had!
We just celebrated our wedding in the Grand Promenade Room at Pat O'Briens November 6th. This was especially special to us since we had actually met there 4 years ago while having a hurricane ;-). The rooms are so beautiful with the stone walls, huge brick bar, balcony, floor to ceiling windows and hardwood floors all tru the era of the building. The rooms have a rustic yet warm feeling to them. We got compliments from all of our local and out of town guests! I am definitely glad we went this route instead of a downtown hotel! The staff was wonderful and very accommodating, even when our mass ceremony time got changed! The staff added so much of their own decor to what we had made for the wedding and made the room so warm and beautiful with candlelight everywhere. I wanted to walk in and be wowed and boy was I. Believe it or not, with Pat O's being a bar, we got nothing but rave reviews about the food! For feeding 175+ you would think maybe the food would be bland and drya, but believe it or not, it was awesome. The balcony offers a few of the rivewalk which my husband smoked a victory cigar on, and it gave guests a place to escape to for more intimate conversations. I would definitely recommend this venue to any bride!
The staff was all about us. Extremely helpful. Included food and bar drinks. Did not have to decorate at all, pretty already! Did not have to clean up either!
