The Grands is an all-in-one venue that did 80% of the work that goes into planning a wedding. I am so relieved they offered so much, because we had a larger wedding with almost 200... planned guests. The Grands provided our Ceremony & Reception venue, getting ready rooms, all setup and take down, decorations, photobooth, smores bar, all food and bar services, wedding cake, DJ and sound services for the whole day, and transportation to select hotels; to name a few. From the first time we walked through the Grands, Luke wanted it. We booked them within 4 days of visiting and the process began. We booked the whole building during the off-season for a March wedding. Typically, 1 side is for the ceremony and the other is the reception/dance. I had to make it complicated because I liked the Lodge side with all of the windows and large bar, so we had the ceremony and dance on the Lodge side with the cocktail hour and dinner on the ballroom side. The Grands were more than willing to accommodate that and their staff was on top of the room flip! There were so many amenities for decorations, food bars, lights, outdoor heaters, sound options, wine/champagne pours and so many more! They have multiple rooms available to get ready and take pictures which were a lifesaver for the day of “Prep” sessions; more than the expected amount of people decided to show up so thank god we had the room. By far one of the most popular amenities was the photo booth which was busy all night. The Grands delivered all of the photos to us within 7 days of the wedding. We were able to print off our favorites and put them in a few of the thank cards. The DJ and MC for the entire wedding was DJ Blakk who kept the wedding moving toward the next activity and room. He had the energy and personality we needed, and the dance floor was full while guests remained. The hotel transport was a godsend, and was available an hour after the dance started for us. We never had a back up or people waiting to be picked up. In fact, the driver came to us at the end of the night to ensure no one else needed a ride before the last of us were heading out. Now, the best part of all was the food. We really did have a vast amount of guests make a point of telling us how good the food was; I mean, to the point where we were shocked. We got the Grands chicken and the pork chop with whipped potatoes and green beans. Also we opted to serve the raspberry cake the Grands offered instead of getting a wedding cake. Hands down the best decision, everyone loved it. The last thing I need to mention is the communication the Grands had with us throughout the entire process. Mel, our constant contact for all questions or requests throughout the planning process, deserves a raise for putting up with me. Our day of coordinator, Alyssa, kept every single person in line on the day of the wedding. Whether it was keeping the father of the bride in beer, individually turning on each fairy light for centerpieces, or ensuring every guest was served a meal. She had so much on her plate, I still have no idea how she was able to get it all done seamlessly. Finally, Joe was the initial contact for the Grands that also ensured all invoices were closed up and everyone was paid the correct amount. He kept us informed, provided us all receipts and invoices, and ensured if we had a single concern it was addressed immediately. I cannot say enough how pleased I am that we chose the Grands at Mulligans and this is long as it is.
