Communication was lacking from management, every time I had a concern and asked for a call I never received it. The wedding itself was beautiful. The day of coordinator (Tina) was nothing but amazing. She ran the rehearsal and was there every step of the way through the ceremony. I couldn’t thank her enough.

On the day the venue was beautiful, and the staff were exceptional. The ark inspired gazebo was breathtaking. We did find that the communication in advance of the event with the venue left something to be desired (e.g. frequently emails were responded to with only a couple of words), but all in all we are very happy with our event. I would recommend this venue, it truly is beautiful, and at the business end, they took care of business.

had an appt for last Sunday to take a look at venue and they canceled two hours before the meet because they had a last minute booking, so I was told the following Sunday same time,today, no one showed up no calls were answered or email back!

Beautiful venue!! We had an outdoor ceremony on the grass right in front of the pond and then an indoor reception in the Parthenon room. Great value for the price! Charity and Alice were very responsive and easy to work with. They made the entire day go very smoothly for us. It turned out to be everything we had imagined!!

Just celebrated our wedding reception at The Grecian Center this past weekend on February 16th and it was beyond any expectation we had! Our reception there was absolutely perfect! A beautiful, romantic setting with delicious food and wonderful service! Mariann, Beth, Gigi and ALL the servers went above and beyond to make us feel special on our big day! If you’re looking for a elegant, gorgeous hall with good food and good people, book your wedding at the Grecian! You won’t regret it!

Held my daughter's wedding shower here in December of 2018. Cannot say enough about how wonderful EVERYONE was - from Marianne the new manager, to Gigi the hostess, to Chef Don, to the wait staff. Everyone bent over backwards to ensure we had a wonderful event! And the food!!!! Fantastic!!! Our guests raved both about the food as well as the wait staff serving everyone. Don't believe the negative reviews - some people are never happy! - this place is A-1 as far as we are concerned. Would definitely book there again!!

Had my wedding here two weeks ago. Everything was great except for the bar service. One bartender to 160 people. She was rude to all of my guests, slow moving which caused the bar line to over flow on to to the dance floor. When asked to put someone back there they didn’t. Asked for some sort of compensation and they refused. So dissapointed.

Horrible service, mediocre food, rude staff. Nothing really good to say about this place. Save your money and go somewhere else

Had a horrible experience at this venue! The bartender was rude to multiple guests, sent my 60 year old aunt back to her table for her ID, and the mix drinks were completely watered down. On top of all this the there was only 1 bartender for our entire party resulting in a long line that overflowed into the dance floor, constantly out of ice and cups, and the managment was no help resolving any of our concerns. I would never recommend this place to friends or family!!!

Oct.6,2018 my daughters wedding. Everything was beautiful!!! Venue staff and food perfection! So many compliments from the guest. Marianne was awesome!!!!

We were really disappointed with the service that we received. We were advised during our final meeting that we did not need a day of coordinator for our wedding, that the center provided a coordinator who assisted us with rehearsal and the wedding day coordination. Well the coordinator that was provided who assist us with the wedding appeared more nervous than the Bride and Groom. Our wedding ceremony was 45 minutes late (due to wardrobe malfunctions) which appeared to completely confuse the coordinator like that was the first late wedding that she had participated in. Once I arrived to the venue, I was kept in waiting for 30 minutes while the coordinator was out in the park area doing who knows what. She appeared frustrated when she came to take me to the park area. Once the ceremony was over and the wedding party left the area. The guest were left sitting with not a clue in which direction to go for the reception. Finally the mother of the groom requested that someone direct the guest and an announcement was made to go to the reception hall for cocktail hour. While the Bride and Groom and wedding party were taking photos, the manager came over to announce that we only had 10 minutes to take photos because our wedding was so late and dinner could not be delayed more than 30 minutes without incurring additional charges. So needless to say we were not able to capture all of the photos that we wanted. We took a few photos and proceeded to the reception hall, at that point the coordinator congratulated us and excused herself for the night. There was no one left to keep us on task with the cutting of the cake, the first dance, bouquet toss or the garter toss. If we would have known that the coordinator was ONLY for the ceremony, we would have had our own day-of-coordinator. To add insult to injury at the end of the evening our leftover cake slices were wrapped in napkins and placed on the table in the lobby! 1 week after our wedding,while on Facebook, I see all of the lovely post on upcoming weddings, weddings that had just occurred at the Grecian center and pictures of couples that had just contracted The Grecian center for their future weddings. At no time were me and my Groom ever asked to pose for any pictures as we signed our initial contract or final contract. There was never a posting congratulating us or thanking us for choosing The Grecian Center. Here we are 2 weeks later and still haven't had anyone from the venue follow-up with us about our special day! There was a lot of money spent at this facility, this was the venue that I always knew would be the site for my wedding and I was sorely disappointed.

The Grecian Center is the perfect place for a wedding! I had searched for a while to find a beautiful outdoor ceremony location and was blown away with the grounds and the fact that they had a covered pavilion just in case it rained. The wedding coordinator, Adrianna was fabulous. She helped ensure everyone felt comfortable at the rehearsal and was there on her wedding day to ensure everything ran smoothly. It was absolutely beautiful and every photo my guests took on the grounds came out beautifully. I was a little hesitant about Chelsea (she took over when Eileen left) because I loved Eileen so much but she took over flawlessly and helped make our wedding a success. Everything was beautiful and all the details we discussed were executed perfectly. My centerpieces were put out by them and they looked great! The dessert bar looked and tasted amazing (as did the food) and our guests really enjoyed the late night pizza. The staff was all friendly (except for one bartender wasn’t to my guests but there’s always that one). I received so many compliments on my wedding venue choice! I would definitely recommend the Grecian Center.

We got married here on August 17 and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The pavilion and the park were spectacular, our guests were completely blown away with how gorgeous it all was. Our reception was in the Parthenon room and it was beautiful. Eileen, Cheryl and Gigi made the process so easy, and were so helpful. It was wonderful to show up and have everything ready to go. The food and service was wonderful, the flambé of the beef was a showstopper. The bar was great, everything was perfect. I would highly recommend that anyone in the area who is looking for a wedding and reception venue check out The Grecian Center. Keep in mind that if you want to use the park and one of the reception rooms together, plan early it books up, but it is totally worth it!

The Grecian Center was a wonderful place to hold our wedding reception. Eileen was fantastic at answering all our questions. The food was fantastic. They were very accommodating for our guests with special dietary requests (for allergies or vegan meals). Because they had no event the day before, we were allowed to come in early to set up the decorations. However, the staff had mentioned that they would have been able to do it for us if we hadn't been able to. Gigi was our day-of coordinator, and she helped to keep everything running smoothly. Everyone was wonderful, and we can't recommend this place enough.

We got married and had our reception at The Grecian Center. All of the staff was amazing. The food was to die for. We got married over 2 months and everyone is still talking about the food. The ceremony locations available are all stunning. But we chose to get married in the Pavillion. Which couldn't have went better. BUT WAIT THERES MORE! The total cost of our wedding was $5000 less than anywhere else in the area.

We had a beautiful wedding day at The Grecian Center. It was very affordable and everyone was impressed by the setting and the food. Unfortunately, some of the staff was less than impressive. We felt rushed and sometimes couldn't find anyone to help us! No one took the flowers to the groomsmen before our first look, so we were going to take them ourselves- no big deal. Then Barb came up on her golf cart and grabbed them out of our hands and tried to take them back inside. We said we needed them and she got annoyed with us. She threw the box of flowers onto the cart, to the point where the flowers were falling out and then she zoomed off. Right before the first look, she almost drove me right past the groom! We had to yell at her to stop the cart because we were doing the first look at the gazebo and she said, "Fine. Do it how you want!" Um yes, it's MY wedding. I will, thank you! Overall, it was a wonderful day and I enjoyed having it there but some of the staff could work on their people skills.

While the grounds of The Grecian Center are gorgeous, I am disappointed with the service/lack of planning we received from this business. We booked The Grecian center for our wedding ceremony back in March 2015. We finalized exactly what we wanted (pillars, ceremony stage set up, X amount of chairs, "bouquet" table, etc) in March of 2016. The day of our rehearsal, the ceremony coordinator was late. When she arrived, she didn't have any documentation or information about our wedding. As we were explaining what we wanted she tried to change our ceremony multiple times. She insisted that we needed a podium when we didn't want one. She kept repeating that my mother would be "giving me away" when my grandfather AND mother were giving me away. She had my grandfather convinced he was no longer walking me down the aisle. She talked in circles until my Minister forcefully took over so we can get things going. Eventually, we got everything set and in order for our big day. On our wedding day, (2 days later) NOTHING that was discussed was set up. The easel was missing and the coordinator made one of the groomsmen go get it. The middle section of the main pillars was missing, the bouquet table was not set up, she was stating that my husband and I needed to hold a microphone while reciting our vows. The aisle runner was dirty and a groomsman and photographer had to actually SWEEP the aisle. Really? My husband and groomsmen had to scramble to get everything changed to how it was suppose to be. Unfortunately, this is not the stress anyone needed on our wedding day. The coordinator seems to mean well, but she really makes the whole process more stressful than it needs to be.

The BEST!! We couldn't have been happier. Everything was perfect. Food was excellent, room was beautiful & Eileen and her staff made our day one to remember. We recommend them to anyone. Sarah & Jason June 2015

Our reception was incredible. Trisha and Eileen were amazing. The room was beautiful. We continue to receive compliments on the food three weeks later. To do it all over I would choose them again!

Eileen, the Manager, is very hard to get ahold of. And if we worked with one of her assistants, the proper thing never gotten taken care of (dates missed, appointments never scheduled..) They "sold" our rehearsal time to another couple after we already scheduled everything, including dinner, for it. I felt like Eileen talked down to us each time we talked to her. That may just be her personality, but I didn't think it was very friendly. But at other times, she was fine. We requested a lot of different things be done for our reception, and gave specific details of what we wanted and how we wanted it done. But somehow on the night of the wedding, hardly any of it was done according to our requests. We did rent the park for the ceremony, which was beautiful. However, we paid for 220 chairs to be set up, and the grecian center employees only set up about 175, so my groom and groomsmen were scrambling trying to set up more chairs while guests were standing there waiting. Otherwise, the park was great and we got tons of compliments on how nice it was. All in all, although some of the reception details were screwed up, I still married my best friend and we were surrounded by our loved ones so these things seem so small now. Just be forewarned what you are getting.

The Grecian Center was exceptionally easy to work and they had GREAT food (people were raving about it). They planned and timed everything for us which made out day that much easier.

My husband and I highly recommend using the Grecian vented for your reception. They do have an outdoor area for ceremonies which is beautiful but we chose to have a church ceremony. They make all their own food (which is AMAZING) from scratch and also provide their own linens which made it much easier for me. We heard nothing but amazing reviews from our guests about the food. We highly recommend the roasted chicken and the pasts primevera. In comparison to other venues we looked at in the area they were more than reasonably priced and give a significant discount if you choose to get married on a Friday like we did. Eileen, the onsite coordinator was amazing and incredibly helpful and was truly concerned with making my day special. She was amazing as was the staff the night of. The space is beautiful and we felt like we got more than what we paid for.

Absolutely wonderful. The food was great, beauty of the rooms, helps set the tone for the atmosphere of the party. The staff could not have been more helpful. I would recommend this affordable wedding venue to anyone for any event.

I had a wonderful Wedding Reception. Everyone loved the food, we did a 3-entree buffet with an open bar (we did the middle package) and we served delicious homemade pizza later in the evening. The hall looked great and the prices were really decent, we had over 200 people there. My only slight issue is sometimes they were hard to get a hold of, and there were times when you did get them that they just seemed scattered or in a rush, but overall everything was perfect :)

Everything at The Grecian Center was beautiful. Up until the day of the wedding I had no complaints. However, I paid $1500 for a pastry/dessert table that was forgotten about by the coordinator, chef, manager, EVERYONE. When I found out less than an hour before the reception, I was very upset. I had ordered less cake because I thought I was getting the desserts and pastries. We were reimbursed, but I was still a little disappointed. Other than that, I was very happy with the service and food and thought everything turned out beautiful in the hall. We also had our ceremony outdoors at The Grecian Center and were very happy with that. The grounds were beautiful and I think our photographer was able to get some really good shots. If I had it to do over again, I would still have our wedding ceremony and reception at The Grecian Center again. I have no regrets.

The minute I walked into The Grecian Center I knew this is where my dream wedding would be! It's the most beautiful wedding venue I have ever been to & the people are amazing! We had such a wonderful time. The food was out of this world. My family and friends are still talking about the red skinned potatoes and the baked chicken! They are also very affordable especially for the quality of service that you get nobody can come close!

The Grecian Center is hands down one of the nicest reception venues I looked at in Downriver. Exceptional food, service, and management. The backyard area where we got married was beautiful too! Could not ask for a better place to have a wedding! Their prices were very reasonable compared to places that offered the same things. I would 100% recommend this venue to other bride :-)

We had a few issues but nothing major. If you request a payoff make sure that you get final payment written on your receipt. We requested a payoff and gave them the money. Then later on we were told we had a balance when we hadn't added anything on. We were told the water in the pond would be dyed blue to make for better pictures on our wedding day, but it was not. The food was amazing. Everyone kept talking about how great the food was.

The venue was beautiful, and Eileen, the manager there was very friendly and extremely helpful. Only the I would change was the feeling of being pushed out. We had the hall for 6 hrs but had to have people out in 5.5. But overall the room was perfect for us and I couldn't be happier!

Eileen was wonderful to work with and will do anything she can do to make your event special! Big dance floor, great food, nice area that's separate from the other hall for bathrooms and entry.

The Grecian Center was the perfect choice for my wedding reception. It looks so classy, but it is still afforable. Definitely the best value I found when searching for a reception value. The food is great!

Great to work with initially, a bit disorganized towards the end of planning. Black-topped the park area 12 hours before my ceremony after saying they would not do it. Good food, large dance floor, ballroom looked beautiful!

The park behind the Grecian Center is where we got married. It has beautiful flowers, a gazebo, a bridge and pond with a waterfall. However, they told us the concession stand where the Bride and Bridesmaid hide had air conditioning and it does not. We were sweating terribly and it was 95 degrees that day. We also had our reception at the Grecian which was nice and air conditioned inside. The service was okay. They served our parents table there food last.And they have you cut your cake immediatly after you are introduced inside, so no one saw our cake. They also kicked us out of the reception early and started ripping down chair covers and tablecloths while our guests were still there.

They had just redecorated everything after not being done for 15 years. It was absolutely wonderful and beautiful. The food was amazing, the staff was wonderful including GiGi and Eileen. The day of the wedding, I had gone to the reception to check things out and they had not put enough tables out. I talked with them about it and they got right on it taking full blame and responsibility apologizing. Everyone was absolutely wonderful and I would recommend this venue to anyone.

The staff was wonderful, and very helpful. The dance floor was beautiful, and the dessert and fruit bar display was amazing!!!!;Everything went so smooth, I have no complaints!

It was a one stop shop! We had the ceremony in their outdoor pavillion which was GORGEOUS and then the Reception just indoors at their apollo room. Everything was absolutely perfect.;The outdoor pond/fountain smells like sulfur. They try to control it on your big day but it still stinks a little bit.
