We loved having our wedding at the Greencroft Club! Highly recommend not just the venue, but having Katy Kirby as your day-of coordinator as well. She was so professional and detail-oriented and went above and beyond to keep the whole day moving smoothly. She even handled items like picking up our cake and dropping off rentals at FedEx, etc. which was a huge help. She was great to work with and made our day so special even in the face of a tropical storm moving through the region and forcing our celebrations to be moved inside. Can’t recommend her enough!
The venue itself is beautiful, especially with the recently renovated main dining room. We didn’t get to use the outside due to the rain, but the landscaping and grounds are beautiful as well.

They took care of everything imaginable, providing a perfect day which all enjoyed and lovely memories for years to come.
The Greencroft Club was an excellent venue for our wedding and wedding reception. The staff was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. I wanted a venue that had it all in one place so that I wouldn't have to juggle a lot of vendors to make the wedding day come together. The Greencroft was truly full service, and our outside vendors included only the photographers, band, and wedding planner! We didn't have to rent a single item, and Greencroft handled rental of the tent for the outdoor reception. Communication with the Greencroft was quite good, and the pricing was exceptional for the area. I think Greencroft is a true hidden gem!

Our wedding at Greencroft was a dream! Katy and Kirstin were so helpful throughout the planning process, always quick to answer questions and offer their expertise. The wedding day went flawlessly, and Kirstin worked so hard to make sure it was perfect. I could not recommend the Greencroft Club more highly!
We rented out Greencroft for our fun filled wedding weekend (rehearsal dinner, ceremony/reception, and post- wedding brunch) and it was the perfect location for accommodating each event. From Day 1 the team at Greencroft made our experience so smooth, especially given both the evolving COVID restrictions at the time, and how far away we lived from Charlottesville. Katy was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions and providing support from our initial site tour to each wedding event. From the guidance we received from Katy (she is absolutely a dream to work with!), the awesome food assembled by Chef Greg, and the great assistance from the bar and catering staff, they made our wedding a weekend to remember.
I cannot say enough good things about Greencroft! The tree out front is absolutely stunning, it was a dream to get married under it. We fell in love with the tree and booked the venue and completely forgot that they're a dining club, and so were pleasantly surprised that the food was wonderful! Generous portions and everyone said it was delicious. We also hired the on-site day-of wedding coordinator and she was fantastic! Between the great venue and coordinator, we didn't have any stress on the day of our wedding. They set up everything how we wanted on the day of our wedding, so we could focus on getting married!
Rehearsal Dinner Venue: We hosted a rehearsal dinner at Greencroft for our son and his bride on June 18, 2021. We had 108 guests for the dinner and additional guests who came afterwards for a welcome party. Katy Kirby, the event coordinator, was the best: wonderful to work with, responsive to every question, creative with our use of the property and our budget, and especially helpful in accommodating our needs as hosts coming in from out of town. Guests loved the food (entrees were fried chicken and bistro steak).
We used the living room and back patio for cocktails and a post-dinner welcome party and the dining room for the main event. Servers kept our guests happy and the timeline working. Staff helped us unload and reload decorations and flowers.

It has been 6 weeks since our daughter's wedding so we have had lots of time to reflect on the venue, the staff, and the food.
The Greencroft Club was a beautiful setting. We had looked at dramatic mountaintop venues, but the intimate charm and warm atmosphere of the Greencroft Club won us over. And now looking at pictures of my daughter and her husband in front of the old oak tree, or strolling along the drive flanked by mature boxwood, or sharing a moment on the porch swing, I can't believe our good fortune in choosing this place!
And I can't say enough good things about Katy and her staff. They anticipated every need, were clear about their responsibility and ours, fulfilled all their responsibilities flawlessly, and covered us when we fell short. They were both professional and approachable.
The food was marvelous and memorable. We were served the most elegant and delicious meal- a salmon\chicken combo with risotto and caramelized Brussels sprouts - by kind and personable staff. I forgot to mention hors d'oevres -crab cakes, pork dumplings, and an apple, brie, fig combo-which were equally elegant and delicious. Our guests still mention how good the food was.
I highly recommend the Greencroft Club. And with three more daughters who may get married someday, I know I will be advocating for this venue for years to come!
We LOVED having our wedding at this venue and it was a great outdoor space for our COVID wedding. The wedding coordinator, Katy was a dream to work with throughout the process and went above and beyond her duties to make our wedding a success! The food was top-notch and our guests left wanting more! The staff was very professional and polite and everyone worked so well together, even to step in where details were forgotten by the bride. They exceeding our expectations and we could not have been more pleased with our venue selection. THANK YOU!
I literally cannot say enough good things about Katy and her team at Greencroft Club. First, the venue itself is so pretty and welcomes photos at every turn. We had our ceremony outside below their gorgeous old-growth tree with their arch. It was amazing.
The food was also so good. Everyone absolutely loved it! We had the filet and hickory chicken, and everyone left saying wonderful things. They had an extensive drink list, too, which many of our guests enjoyed. The wait staff were so friendly, attentive, and eager to make sure we all had everything we needed for the meals.
Lastly, I really am so grateful to Katy. She made the day-of flow so smoothly, she knew what was needed even before it crossed my mind, and she absolutely took the stress out of worrying about the details. I would work with Katy on every event, if I could! She is obviously a seasoned pro.
Thanks to Greencroft, Katy, and her team, my family and I managed to have a wonderful microwedding in the middle of this COVID pandemic. I'm thrilled that Greencroft was as welcoming (Safely!!!) and flexible for us for our special day (that we didn't think would be able to happen at all!)
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Jeff Hale at Greencroft Club for his first rate planning, gracious service and delicious food that all went into making our daughter’s wedding reception an “epic party” (how the newlyweds described the evening).
Our celebration started in the Living Room and patio with an open bar, Charcuterie boards, passed hors d’oeuvre and various signature Mocktails, as many of our guests were non-drinkers. Following the cocktail hour, we went to the main dining room for a sit down dinner for just under 100 (82 adults, 9 children and 5 little ones). We chose to serve family style and it was a huge success. Many of our guests commented that the food was very delicious, I agree, it was!! Since we had a number of vegans and vegetarians, the chef came up with a stacked vegetable main course that not only tasted great but was beautifully presented. After dinner and cake, the dancing began and continued to the end of the evening.
The charm and character of the Greencroft speaks for itself, so we did very little in the way of decorating. We did have a large welcome poster in the entryway and on each dining table we placed a very small bouquets of fresh flowers and votive candles. We used the enormous upstairs Eades room, as a playroom for the children (we brought favorite games/toys) and some of the older kids enjoyed taking a break from the dancing to play games with their cousins.
As an added bonus, Jo Prescott at Greencroft, is a makeup artist. She did our make-up for the wedding, one bride, four bridesmaids and me, the mother of the bride. Jo did a beautiful job making ALL of us beautiful. I chose to have a trial make up session before the big day and am glad I did because I initially thought I wanted very little make up but changed my mind once I saw it applied. Jo was extremely helpful the day of the wedding too. She came to the Marriott Downtown to do our makeup and made sure that whatever we left behind, after heading to the church, made it back to the Greencroft. Thank you Jo, for your calm, helpful presence at the Marriott and at Greencroft throughout the evening.
Whatever your wedding ideas/dreams might be, I have no doubt that Jeff and his team will make them happen. And if you choose the Greencroft you get the entire team (wedding planner, chefs, makeup artist, gracious servers) of experts working to make your celebration not just unforgettable but “epic”.
We are the proud parents of the groom for a wedding held last Saturday night at The Greencroft Club. From the very first phone conversation I had with Cammie Waite, General Manager, inquiring if their desired date was available, cost, etc. to the very last guest leaving late Saturday night, it was an amazing, beautiful experience. So easy and totally stress free. Jeff Hale is the Food and Beverage Manager and he and his staff went above and beyond to have a beautifully set table with a delicious plated dinner. We feel so fortunate that The Greencroft Club was available to them and was so please and happy in every single aspect.
We worked with Greencroft for my son's wedding reception (about 60 guests, used the large reception room). The staff, especially restaurant manager Jeff Hale, was fantastic to work with in every possible way. We received excellent customer service, from initial set-up and budgeting to the event itself. Jeff worked with our budget and menu needs, answered all questions in a timely, professional manner and was a joy to work with. His staff was equally professional at the event itself, and the food was excellent! The only suggestion we have for others is to test the sound system ahead of time if you do not plan to have a band. Volume is an issue with a room full of people and you may want to look for an alternative to the in-house system, as it is older and fairly finicky. This was our only issue with an otherwise outstanding experience. We highly recommend Greencroft as a reception venue!
We had our wedding reception there March 2017. It was beautiful. We worked with Cammie and Jeff. We didn't need to add any decorations and just used their bud vases on tables-lovely. They put our event together on short notice. They were flexible with our budget and dietary needs. The food was delicious, they were handicapped accessible which was needed for some guests who use wheelchairs. They answered all our questions and stayed in frequent contact. They were polite, professional, and accommodated our every request. Great food, we had an open bar, and the whole cost of the reception was very reasonable. They did a great job of taking care of our guests without interfering in any way. We can't thank them enough for helping to make our day special! We had a great time and so did our guests. It was beautiful and they went beyond our expectations. Highly recommend!!
This place has everything you need and more
The setting at Greencroft was perfect for our wedding. We had both our ceremony and reception there and many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had been to. Greencroft made sure that we were happy and comfortable with every aspect of their services.
The event manager was very organized and knowledgeable. Working with Greencroft helped keep my stress level to a minimum as they handle a lot of details (i.e. coordinating with the florist and tent company menu recommendations seating etc.).
