Harry and Ron were excellent. They helped us choose the menu and decide when to serve and all of the food was excellent. All of the staff was cheerful and helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Highly recommend.

My bridal shower was at the Grenville in mid-March. My mother had booked the day in early November and, with the help of my bridesmaids, had been planning for month. When they arrived for set up, another shower was already underway in the Grenv...

ille's only indoor event space. They double booked both our showers. Things happen and it's understandable, but the overwhelmed staff did almost nothing to help my family and friends set up for my shower. Thank goodness they have a spacious porch and it was a freakishly warm day for New Jersey in March. My friends told me all the furniture they offered for outside was dirty and rusty. My little brother got called in from home as part of the emergency set up crew because the Grenville only had enough staff to take care of the shower that was going on inside. It took a while for food to come out and service was nearly non-existent. I'm sure the Grenville is a fine place when you're their only event and they can focus solely on you, but given that they laughed off the double booking to my mom saying "This happens to us only year" doesn't give me nearly enough faith to recommend to anyone. My heart breaks thinking of how my poor mom must have felt to walk in and see that they day she planned so long for was about to go to pieces. Stay far, far away for any kind of special event.

The Grenville was a wonderful host for our wedding reception. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the food was absolutely delicious and the rooms lived up to expectations. They even came with beach passes so everyone could enjoy the beach...

the day after. I would highly recommend the Grenville as a the perfect reception location at the Jersey Shore. A couple friends mentioned some rooms were very small and while some came with refrigerators, others didn't. We had no problems however and Renee and her staff helped make our wedding day perfect!
