Where do I begin?! First off, if you are considering hosting a wedding or event here, do it! You will not be disappointed.
Secondly, We worked with Eleanor on our event and could not have been more impressed. She was responsive, detailed, professional and accommodated all of our questions and requests.
We hosted our wedding at the Inn on a Saturday in July 2023. We had 87 guests and they stayed on the property in gorgeous, comfortable rooms. The bridal suite was large and luxurious with a Juliet balcony overlooking Gibbet Hill. The groom’s suite was enormous.
I wanted an intimate wedding with a laid-back, but classic garden party feel. Eleanor understood my vision and delivered! The ceremony was held on the back lawn, cocktail hour in the courtyard and reception in the Prescott Room. We took photos on the front porch and by the courtyard fireplace. Each space was BEAUTIFUL. When I asked if we could string lights across the courtyard, Eleanor went above and beyond to meet with hotel staff and outside vendors and made it happen. When I asked to do our first dance under the courtyard lights, she made that happen as well! She was amazing; exactly the type of person you want to work with when planning your big day.
The event itself was seamless. The team really knows how to run an event. The Catering/Kitchen was amazing. We had two signature cocktails and our guests told us the spicy margarita was made perfectly. We offered beef tenderloin and chicken as meals to our guests. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly. Countless guests told me it was the best wedding food and drink they have ever had, and more like upscale steakhouse food than typical wedding food. The Inn staff set up décor for us (signs, photos, candles, card boxes, etc.) and broke it down at the end of the night for us to pick up the next day.
The weather was extremely hot, humid and rainy on our wedding weekend. We lucked out and it didn't rain on our actual wedding day, but the Inn staff handled the possibility of rain professionally and calmly as it presented itself over and over again throughout the day.
We had a live acoustic/dj duo recommended by the Inn perform for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. They were amazing as well and I highly recommend them for TGI events. They fit the vibe and helped the event flow smoothly.
Our guests enjoyed the included breakfast each morning. It was delicious; again not typical hotel food. On Sunday we were able to meet up over breakfast, sit together and say goodbye to everyone who came to celebrate our wedding.
I could keep going on…The whole experience was perfect.

Had my wedding here the last weekend and I don't even know where to begin. Our wedding was perfect - the food was perfect, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the staff were amazing. The real magic though, is the people. From the EXCEPTIONAL people working at the Groton Inn, to the stunning location, all the way down to something as simple as heated floors in the bathroom. Our wedding and stay all over was magical. The real magic though, is the people. Every single staff member at the Groton Inn deserves a world of praise.
Eleanor Keydel, coordinated my wedding and was absolutely exceptional. She is the kindest human I have ever met and made our dream day a reality. So many people that attended my wedding asked me who she was because they could see her dedication, passion, and talent. She took on every detail so that I could just enjoy the day without any stress. She truly made our wedding what it was, I am so grateful.
I cannot say enough good things about the Groton Inn. This place has been so special to us for so long but having our wedding here was the greatest decision we made.

We stayed at The Groton Inn for our room block in May 2025 as our wedding was at The Barn at Gibbet Hill down the road. It is a beautiful inn with wonderful accommodations. Their sales staff made the process of obtaining a room block stress free. They provided great communication during the planning process. We also hosted a welcome party in their Kings Retreat room. The apps and drinks served were delicious. Guests could enjoy the evening in the lovely courtyard as well. Highly recommend!

We've worked with Eleanor and the events team at Groton Inn on several weddings for our mutual clients and we are always so happy to be there!
Every moment of the event is highly-organized and well-executed. There are several locations to hold your ceremony, cocktail hour in the courtyard is lovely, and the Prescott Room is a perfectly cozy space for events of 60-80 guests.
The staff is courteous and professional, the food is excellent, and the space has been well-designed for these kinds of affairs.
As live wedding entertainers, we've been to many wedding venues, and Groton Inn is one of our favorites. We can't wait to be back!

We set up our room block at the Groton Inn, and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The staff is friendly, the rooms are large and clean, food and accommodations are fantastic so much so we ended up doing a farewell brunch. In addition it was so nice to have a cozy place to relax on our big day Kendall and everybody there was extremely professional and helped our celebration go smoothly!

I held my rehearsal dinner, and welcome drinks in their Keep's Conservatory and I cannot recommend here enough! The food was amazing, the staff was so helpful all night and able to adjust to some last minute changes, and always checked in. 10/10!

This venue was AMAZING! It has beautiful views and is so picturesque! The venue feels like classic New England. The wedding coordinator, Eleanor, is true a bonus! She made planning so easy! We have nothing but rave reviews of our amazing wedding weekend at the beautiful and historic Groton Inn! We cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone considering the Inn for their special event. With its rural/suburban setting close to Boston and Manchester NH airports, the Groton Inn’s charming Main Street location was ideal for ourselves, our families, and out of town guests who needed overnight accommodations. The rooms were all spacious, immaculately clean and very well appointed, and guests took full advantage of various amenities like the gym, lounge areas and hallway beverage stations. The delicious daily breakfast and the bridal suite options added to the ease of us preparing for our day wedding which was held right around the corner at The Barn at Gibbett Hill. Everyone also appreciated the convenience of being able to walk to nearby hair salons, eateries, and other local businesses, and we loved spending time on the spacious porch and the courtyard visiting with our guests.
More specifically, we felt from our first meeting that we were in such good hands with Eleanor Keydel, Sales and Events Manager. She was so informative, efficient, well organized and thorough throughout the months’ long lead-up to our end of September wedding, and offered us much needed guidance and reassurance as we planned the table arrangement, decor and menus for both our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party which were held in the Inn’s beautiful Keep’s Conservatory. Eleanor was consistently quick to respond to emailed questions and phone messages, and made it so easy scheduling face to face meetings with her despite her busy schedule and our out of town location. The warm decor and intimate feel in the Keep’s Conservatory provided the perfect backdrop for our wonderful rehearsal dinner followed by our Welcome Party. The fireplace and mantel where we displayed family photos added to the personalized feel and ambience. We have to give a special thanks to bartender extraordinaire, Kerrie, whose good humor and helpfulness went far to ensure our guests felt at ease throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared just as requested and beautifully presented, and though we are sorry we cannot identify them by name, there were a host of other event staff and servers present who all went out of their way so we felt special and celebrated all night long.
The Groton Inn is uniquely wonderful, and we cannot imagine a more perfect setting for what truly was the wedding weekend of our dreams.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Groton Inn for two nights with our family and friends as part of our wedding weekend, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We began planning our wedding four years ago, and during that time, we worked closely with the Groton Inn to arrange the perfect stay for all of our loved ones.
Bethanie, in particular, was incredibly responsive and supportive throughout the entire process. Her communication and attention to detail made coordinating such an important event feel effortless. Although our wedding wasn’t held at the hotel, she played a crucial role in ensuring our guests had a wonderful stay.
All of our guests couldn’t stop raving about the hotel, too! They were blown away by how beautiful it was and loved their experience just as much as we did.
The hotel itself is stunning, with clean, spacious rooms and a welcoming atmosphere, as well as a beautiful courtyard and great food. Every staff member we interacted with was helpful and friendly, making our stay absolutely perfect. We wish we could relive it all!
We highly recommend The Groton Inn to anyone planning an event or just looking for a beautiful place to stay. 10/10 experience!

From arrival to departure and all of the months leading up to our daughter's wedding, everything was fabulous!
The staff at The Groton Inn was so wonderful to deal with and helped us plan every detail for our guests. We ended up booking (almost) the full Inn, and all guests raved about the rooms, service and location.
We took advantage of the Bridal Prep Suite and so glad that we did! This room was large, comfortable and had many amenities that allowed for 9 women to easily get ready for the day! The lighting is amazing and the industrial steamer was an added bonus. Our room attendant Christine was great and took excellent care of us. Working with Eleanor to plan the meals in the Bridal suite along with the after party was seamless. And Bethanie did a wonderful job arranging all of the room assignments for the weekend.
We cannot wait to return to The Groton Inn for a relaxing weekend. Such a wonderful location!

We had my son and daughter in law's rehearsal dinner at the Groton Inn in August. Eleanor was incredibly helpful and communicated very well during the whole planning process and didn't leave any details out! The staff on-site was incredible and accomodating. The entire evening was just amazing and wonderful and exceeded my expectations. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND holding your event at this beautiful location.

Every detail of my daughter's bridal shower at the Groton Inn was PERFECT!
The people at the Groton Inn were all so easy to work with, extremely kind, knowlegable and flexible.
Everything looked absolutely beautiful, and best of all, the food was delicious.
All our guests commented how nice everyone was, how beautiful everything was and that it was the best venue they had been to so far.
Some of the guests will be staying at the Inn for the wedding. They were very excited and very happy and are now looking forward to their stay.
Some of the men attending, even had a few drinks out by the beautiful cozy fireplace in the lobby.
The Groton Inn truly made this a P-E-R-F-E-C-T day for our daughter, family & friends!

We got married at The Barn at Gibbet Hill and stayed at The Groton Inn (as did most of our guests) and also held our rehearsal dinner at the Inn. From the first time reaching out, the communication was great - Holly helped us quickly set up a room block and throughout the whole planning process would respond very promptly when we asked for updated on our block. When looking for a rehearsal dinner location, the Groton Inn surpassed all other options in the area. The staff, menu options, as well as the function room were all above our expectations. Elanor helped to plan our dinner and she was professional and very helpful in the decision making process. The dinner went so smoothly and the room was a great space for mingling with guests the night before. We were also able to open up the space for welcome drinks half way through the event timeline. Our stay at the Inn was also great and we have heard nothing but good things from the guests. The suite we stayed in as the bride and groom was gorgeous and was the perfect space for the bridal party to get ready. The include breakfast was also a great perk for our guests and very delicious. We can't wait to come back on some of our anniversaries!
