The Grove is a beautiful location, but we did not get the service that we wanted. They changed contact communication in December and it went downhill. We were told we could do things in the beginning that made us choose this venue and when it came down to a month out, we were told we couldn’t. At our food tasting, they didn’t have the appetizers for us to try and said we didn’t give them what we wanted. I went back to the email I sent giving them the options we wanted to try. Any type of communication took days, sometimes even weeks for someone to get back with you. That’s about the tip of the iceberg.
Covid bride here! The Grove Hotel (specifically Roxanne) was AMAZING to work with! They were understanding and supportive when Covid-19 caused a change in plans. They made wedding planning fun, easy, and exciting! Plus, the view from the terrace is incredible.
Our wedding reception was in downtown Boise, so walking over to The Grove after our reception was extremely convenient. The hotel sent up a dessert to my fiancee before the wedding as a special treat, since he was getting ready in the hotel room before the ceremony. The suite was spacious enough for visitors before the wedding and room service from Trillium the morning after is highly recommended. There was even a hook high up on the wall to hang my wedding dress and a designated place for my groom's suit.
Tried contacting them on numerous occasions and never got any call backs or emails. Not very professional at all in my opinion.
Before we got engaged we had always talked of a long engagement. However life has a funny way of changing ones plans at any moment. My brother is one of my favorite people & an active duty Marine. Before my husband proposed we found out my brother could be leaving on deployment at anytime. I couldn't imagine him not there when I married my best friend.
We had roughly 2 months to plan our wedding & we had a very clear idea of what we wanted for our special day. Elegant, intimate & all in one location considering it would be so short notice.
The Grove gave us all of that and so much more! From our very first meeting with the amazing Samantha, our point of contact, I knew that this was the place! We felt like absolute royalty. From the beautiful Terrace bridal suite for me the night before to our spectacular wedding & the stunning honeymoon suite the night of.
They offer 2 options for location, plated and buffet style menu, flexible bar options & discounted rooms for any of our guest.
The entire staff at the Grove was hands down 10 out of 10 from start to finish. I never had to wonder what was going on or what came next. All of the questions I had for them got a quick response, any issue that presented itself was handled with the nothing but the upmost care, they worked around my schedule for anything that required me to be there in person & they made us feel well like family.
We are more then pleased with having chosen The Grove as our wedding location & would do it all over again no questions asked. Our family & friends had a blast as well!
We can't thank The Grove, Samantha (our main point of contact), all of the staff & caterers enough for making our perfect day run so smoothly!
We hosted our rehearsal dinner and reception at The Grove Hotel largely because 95% of our 100-person guest list was from out of town/coming in from all over the country. The location made it extremely convenient for guests to have a great time at our reception, then return to their rooms without worry about driving or catching a taxi elsewhere. Bridgit, the event sales manager, made everything so easy! From touring the facilities, to our room blocks, to the tastings (their food is delicious by the way, and the portions are huge - definitely worth the money!), to working with our other vendors directly to help coordinate delivery times and set up - we had nothing to worry about! The Grove was our most reliable vendor, taking very thorough notes of everything we had planned and making sure all went according to that plan. We couldn't have been happier with their services, their attention to detail, and their efforts to make sure all attendees had a great time - including us!
We went to The Grove to discuss blocking rooms for my wedding. We had 100 people coming to town for our wedding. From the time we walked in the staff was cold and unwelcoming. They seemed completely put-off by our presence and didn't want to show us the rooms. Very awkward. We went to Hotel 43 instead and they were an absolute dream to work with!
I set a block of rooms aside for our out of town guests at the Grove Hotel. The staff was very helpful and even emailed me before the event to confirm times of all activities so they could be of help to our guests.
Loved staying here and so close to downtown!
The Grove Hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Boise, so I recommend directing wedding guests here... however, they book up FAST! I called 8 months before our wedding to try to reserve some rooms, but they were book completely booked up. It was Memorial Day Weekend, so I'm assuming this is why they were all filled up. Beautiful hotel though (I've stayed there in the past). Also, probably the more "ritzy" of places in Boise, and therefore a bit more spendy.
And they upgraded us to a suite!
The favor large corporate reservations over single wedding parties. I arranged for all 50 of my out of state guests to stay at the Grove but that "small" booking wasn't of much value to the Grove staff. They were really hard to arrange but the experience once everyone was checked it was great.
I would never have sent my guests to the Grove. The rooms were all clean, however they had an interesting smell. The location is the best part, right in the heart of downtown Boise. They messed of the guest room reservations so much that got to the point where I had to call to deal with it in the middle of the wedding. The Wedding coordinator Wendy Maple is a joke. She has no idea what she is doing and really does a poor job managing it. I would rather send my guests to the Hampton Inn two blocks away.
