The Society Ballroom was originally an aquatic center featuring a serene, modern aesthetic with direct access to Poppy, an urban garden oasis perfect for outdoor celebrations. The European-inspired Courtyard provides a romantic al fresco setting for a more intimate gathering, while the Society Lounge offers a private space for bridal preparations or small gatherings.

We knew going in The Guild was the perfect location and first choice for our wedding. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by Dani. Immediately, our feelings were confirmed and couldn’t wait to start the planning. Dani and her team made the entire process fun, genuine and stress free. We honestly would leave The Guild and our time with Dani and Co and couldn’t wait for our next schedule meeting/tasting/hangout. She truly made us feel like VIPs and gave us such confidence that our wedding was going to be perfect.
The hotel, venue and location speak for themselves. It played perfect host to our friends and family staying from out of town, walking distance to Little Italy for our rehearsal dinner and near everything your guests need to make it a memorable time.
Our friends and family would always comment on how calm and relaxed we were leading up to our big day, and to that we credit Dani and The Guild. Everything was to plan, on time and better than we could of imagined. She had amazing partnerships and communication with our outside vendors , and day of was seamless.

My husband and I got married at The Guild back in May, and it’s still hard to find the words to communicate how incredible our experience was! From start to finish, we had the most incredible time working with this team of professionals. They made everything so easy, stress free, and enjoyable. The food and drinks were INCREDIBLE and all of our guests are still talking about what an amazing time they had. The venue coordinator, Dani, is an absolute rockstar. She answered every single question any of us could think of and made the entire process absolutely seamless. She is organized, professional and one of the friendliest individuals I’ve had the pleasure to work with. She went above and beyond working with my vendor team. Chef Po also did an incredible job, even circling the dining area to ensure the food exceeded everyone’s expectations. I HIGHLY recommend considering The Guild for your wedding or next important event.

From the moment I saw The Guild and met Dani- I knew! This was a YES! Things that were important to me when choosing a venue: Outdoor space, historic location, crafted food + beverages, unique guest experience. Hope the info below helps you with your planning too!
PLANNING: Dani and the team nailed it! In the beginning, setting a date was a little tricky because we were working with the Mission and coming from out of town. Dani was super patient and worked with me through that. Even though it’s a boutique hotel, the contract was a pretty standard Marriott document, so there were no surprises there. And planning the details was easy (and fun)! A cost estimate spreadsheet kept us informed every step of the way. We had a few last minute changes and additions (thanks COVID 😜) but Dani accommodated it all with a smile! I never felt stressed or concerned, it was the best.
HOTEL EXPERIENCE: When we arrived for our wedding weekend, everyone at the hotel was so gracious! I remember Toms at the front desk being especially helpful.
We stayed at the hotel for almost a week and I would go back again in a heartbeat. The vegan chili (you wouldn’t have known it was vegan, it was so good!) and focaccia have a place in my heart. The only thing I will say is that we thought the entrance stairs and luggage would be a challenge, but nope! There was always someone willing to help, and that was much appreciated. (There’s also a ramp available for ADA, we just didn’t find it as convenient as the front entrance for loading).
The bar, common areas and courtyard were all just so beautiful. There were plenty of areas to relax and hang out with family over the weekend. The café in the morning was a welcome touch. I’d love to see a full breakfast someday!
EVENT EXPERIENCE: Our wedding reception was everything I’d dreamed and more! We had our cocktail hour and dinner in the Grace Garden and it was magical. I loved dinner under the market lights and our guests raved about the food. We chose the swordfish, filets and roasted cauliflower (vegan) meals. The team followed the timeline and service was so smooth! Dani was there on site and it was so exciting to see all of our hard work come together. Thank you!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience working with Dani and the team at The Guild! After several others tours, we knew The Guild was the perfect place for us to get married right when we arrived. We had a lot of questions and their team was attentive, patient, and helpful. The wedding tasting was delicious and fun, and their team was a blast to work with throughout. Because of covid, we ended up having a lot of last minute changes and cancellations and I will forever be grateful for their professionalism, flexibility, and positivity during that time. Dani even left wine for our parents and flowers for us in our room when we arrived! My maid of honor reminded me recently that I kept saying, “I wouldn’t change a thing!” throughout the whole wedding day, and that was definitely the case. Dani and the team at The Guild made our day unforgettable in the best way.
