We had such a great experience getting married at The Harbor Club! Just about everything about the planning experience and the day of was perfect as far as the venue and food was concerned. Communication with the venue via Jenn, the venue coordinator was quick and professional. She was able to answer all of our questions before we booked, and was very informative when we did a tour. Communicating throughout the planning process after we had booked was the same. Jenn also served as our day of coordinator for the other vendors, kept our timeline on track throughout the day. Everything ran smoothly! The venue itself was lovely, the perfect size for our wedding. Easy access to the restrooms, and the whole venue is handicap accessible. The view of the Elizabeth River is gorgeous, and all of our guests loved the balcony where we had our cocktail hour. Several guests complimented the appetizers that were passed, as well as the food we had for dinner. The service and bar staff were top notch, very professional and good at what they did. We had a perfect wedding day, and the Harbor Club and all of the wonderful staff and hard work that was put in was a large part of what made the day so amazing.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at The Harbor Club! From the moment we connected with Jennifer and her team, we knew we were in the best hands. When our original venue unexpectedly closed, Jennifer swooped in like a true hero, saved the day, and made a stressful situation feel effortless. Looking back, I truly believe it was a blessing in disguise because this venue was even more stunning than we ever imagined. Every single employee went above and beyond to ensure our guests were happy and having an amazing time. The food was phenomenal, the drinks were perfect, and the entire process—from planning to the big day—was smooth, stress-free, and genuinely enjoyable. Jennifer and her team’s dedication, professionalism, and genuine warmth made all the difference. If you’re looking for a breathtaking venue with an outstanding team that truly cares, look no further. We are beyond grateful for them!

The worst venue I’ve ever seen. It took over a week just to schedule a tour, and when we finally arrived, the tour guide wasn’t even there. Instead, someone from the bar downstairs gave us the tour, and he was completely unenthusiastic. The venue itself was a disaster. There was food and trash scattered around the area where the ceremony would be held and near the warming kitchen. When we asked about the bridal area, the “tour guide” opened the door to what was literally a storage closet filled with boxes. At that point, we’d seen enough, and my fiancé immediately said we weren’t interested. We left shortly after. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It was a complete disappointment from start to finish.

If you're on the fence about the venue, let me tell you that Jenn alone could be the reason you book. Obviously the location is amazing and the views (especially at sunset) are super photo-worthy, but Jenn was the real MVP. She helped our vision come to life and even made recommendations that surpassed what we could have thought of ourselves. The venue looked stunning on the day of thanks to her hard work and organization. Additionally, she kept things moving so we actually ended up being ahead of schedule, leaving more time for dancing and catching up with family and friends; how often does that happen?! The venue itself was also great since it was connected to our room block hotel via a skywalk. We didn't have to worry about booking transportation, and our guests could come and go as they pleased. Plus, it was right next to PBR which allowed us to direct guests there for an impromptu after-party. Without Jenn and The Harbor Club, our day would not have been the same!

We had our October wedding at the Harbor Club after rescheduling it a year later due to COVID. They were incredibly accommodating with the change, and we could not have been happier with the service we received. Jennifer was on top of absolutely everything throughout the process, and everything turned out exactly as we wanted. When we met to go over details before, she was prepared with questions to make sure she was certain what we wanted. When we showed up on the day of, everything was perfect, and the staff stayed late to make sure everything went smoothly. The food was great- some of the best food I've had at a wedding! And we were able to supply our own wine and ingredients for cocktails to customize everything. The number one compliment we got was that the venue was beautiful, and guests loved the patio with the view overlooking the water. Overall, I would highly recommend the Harbor Club!

We had our reception at the Harbor Club at Waterside and it was a perfect venue from the food to the service to the amazing photo opportunities. Our guests raved about our venue and the ceremony and reception set up. Our venue coordinators were great, but we were originally paired with two coordinators who left within a short time which caused some miscommunication. The two that finally coordinated our wedding, Amanda and Jen, were simply wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend that you work with either or both of them as they have the vision to create a beautiful wedding while be mindful of your budget.

Tried to get in touch with this venue in every possible way. I called and left multiple voicemails, sent emails through their website and through the Knot, I even contacted them through Facebook. I never received a response which is disappointing since we really loved the idea of having our wedding at Waterside. Clearly, they’re not very interested in booking wedding business.
