We were married here on 7/25/26 and I can’t say enough wonderful things about this venue. The venue itself is beautiful and the staff is amazing! Amanda and her staff were on top of everything from the first time we met with them and even after we were married. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a venue.
The owners were like family durring the entire planning process. Their perfectionism and attention to detail were beyond expectations! They made sure things ran smoothly and we were able to enjoy our wedding day without the stress of hosting! Absolutely a beautiful country location.

The Hills of Luella is a wedding venue located 30 minutes north of Dallas in Sherman, TX. Stretching across 32 acres of beautiful rolling hills, this waterfront venue has been identified as a hidden gem. This location offers privacy and an authentic rustic flair for couples. If you're looking for real country, you've found it. We provide a nice balance between elegant and natural. Most brides select a sunset marriage at our waterfront Gazebo, then all move to the barn and outdoor game area for a night of food and fun.
Built by Amish and designed by Amanda and Stacey, The Hills of Luella Barn provides the authentic look and feel that has been lost with today's metal barns. The venue exhibits a sincere appreciation for a simpler all-natural country experience. Amanda and Stacey were brought up in rural small towns, learning the importance of community and valuing one’s neighbor. This is evident in the approach they take to event management at their venue. While specializing in weddings and celebrations, they also seek out any opportunity to help those in their locality by offering their space to host fundraisers and benefits. For your wedding ceremony, you can gather your loved ones for an outdoor service in front of the property’s specially designed gazebo. Sitting on the banks of the water, it creates an idyllic, peaceful background in front of which you can exchange your vows. The rustic barn, which serves as the reception area, is built by Amish craftsmen. True to the venue’s Texan design, the barn features exposed roof beams often found in the area’s most iconic rustic structures. In a loft above, get-ready suites can be found for use by you and your party to prepare for your big day.
Offering competitive price packages, The Hills of Luella can cater to events of many sizes and budgets. The barn has a maximum capacity of 200 and seating and tables are kindly provided by the staff for your ceremony and reception. You are invited to take advantage of the wide-open spaces of this property, adding and embellishing design elements to craft the celebration of your dreams. Amanda and Stacey are happy to help this realization, providing on-site venue management throughout the course of the day. We both grew up in small town country environments, where life is simple, friendships are life-long and entertainment usually involves a place somewhere down a country road. Amanda has always had a gift for bringing groups together for events, and spares no time in getting the fun and games started. I, on the other hand, am a little more reserved, but have had my share of fun singing and playing my guitar in get togethers or at venues. With all that being said, we love the social setting and enjoy meeting new people and entertaining.
