Beth Valgus, the catering sales manager of the Harrisburg Hilton, flawlessly coordinated my wedding venue. She accommodated all my questions and concerns before, during and after the event. Beth and her team were incredible and always on the ball with questions and concerns and were always there to problem solve with me. Myself and many other guests had multiple food allergies and they were able to manage each one flawlessly. Additionally, due to weather issues and a last minute switch of guests, Beth and her team were able to handle without a problem. I would highly recommend Beth and the Hilton Harrisburg for your wedding and other events!
We got married at the Hilton in June 2022 and had an incredibly positive experience throughout the entire process! Our wedding ended up having to be postponed twice, but the team at the Hilton coordinated these changes smoothly, being more than accommodating to our many needs. The thorough communication and broad access to resources throughout the planning stages was never an issue and we really had the feeling that they were truly there to ensure we had the wedding of our dreams instead of trying to push a product. When the big day finally came, all our vendors had a point of contact at the hotel that was physically present to oversee the set-up, giving us the chance to focus on the ceremony without worrying about the logistics. She even allowed us a sneak peak at the room before the guests entered and was there throughout the evening to help with any issues that arose, as well as being kind enough to run gifts and the card box up to the bridal suite!
As far as the quality of the product goes, it was everything we could have imagined. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS (thank you to the chef and team!) and we highly recommend the braised short rib, pistachio crusted halibut, and risotto! Bar selections are broad and moderately priced, with the ability to arrange for higher tiers if we wanted. We also requested wine service at dinner and never felt any lack of attention given to us or our guests. There was ample room for dancing, great options in terms of lighting (even up to us making a last-minute lighting change during our sneak peak), and fantastic angles for our photographers to capture pictures.
Overall, we were VERY impressed and appreciative of all the work and attention to detail that the Hilton gave us for the wedding and have memories of that day that will last us a lifetime. We both highly recommend it as a venue for your wedding! Thank you very much to everyone who worked so hard to ensure we had the wedding of our dreams!
Side note: We highly recommend 1700 Degrees Steakhouse in the hotel for the rehearsal dinner. Again, delicious food and a high attention to detail. What’s more, all the logistics can be coordinated directly with the same group that facilitated the wedding reception. Just like we mentioned before, we had someone present to oversee the evening and ensure it all flowed smoothly, which was a tremendous help. They were even able to time service around speeches and toasts, and coordinated with the chef to create a last-minute vegan dish in the middle of dinner! Our guests are still talking about how great of a time they had!
Carrie and her team at The Hilton Harrisburg are incredible to work with! As a wedding planner from Pittsburgh, it's so refreshing to work alongside someone so in tune to ensure that her client's days are seamless, and Carrie did just that! From the moment that communication began for myself alongside my clients, Carrie was on the ball, so very responsive, and extremely organized! 11/10 recommend The Hilton Harrisburg for hosting your wedding or event! You will be in the best of hands with Carrie!

My husband and I got married in June 2022. We had 270 people at our wedding and we were absolutely blown away throughout the entire process of planning our wedding with the Hilton Harrisburg and also the night of our wedding went flawlessly. We worked with Carrie, the venue coordinator, who was absolutely amazing. She was always extremely prompt in her communications and very accommodating to our requests! We received so many compliments on the food at the wedding (we had rehearsal dinner at the restaurant as well which was delicious) and guests also loved their rooms! We would definitely recommend getting married here if you are looking for a fantastic team and successful night!
The Hilton in Harrisburg was such a great choice for the reception venue for our wedding. We had such great vibes from our coordinator Lindsay right from the very beginning. Everything was just so easy and stress-free. The Hilton was also so accommodating with all of our needs. I would recommend the Hilton for anyone who wants a stress-free, classy occasion.
We were supposed to have a large reception at the Hilton in October of this year. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we had to make some changes. For us, that meant moving our reception outdoors, but the Hilton was amazing about the changes in plans and they still did the catering for our event. The food and drinks were amazing. Everything was served hot and tasted delicious, despite moving offsite. Most importantly, the team at the Hilton was AMAZING. Rachele talked to us every week leading up to the wedding to ensure that everything was planned out and would run smoothly. She went through every detail and made us feel so comfortable, even while planning from a distance. We couldn't have done it without here. She is amazing and we would highly recommend the Hilton to anyone planning a wedding. It was the best experience and the perfect wedding day!
My husband and I got married on August 24, 2019 at the Hilton. We hosted our ceremony in 1/3 of the Ballroom and the Reception in the other 2/3. Everything was exactly what I had hoped it would be...and MORE! The set up crew and wait staff was so accommodating and friendly. The food was 5-star, especially the garden vegetable risotto!! :) The best part?....Rachele! She was the best wedding coordinator! She was so insightful and responsive to my 10,000 emails throughout the wedding planning process. The concept of hotel room blocks was foreign to me and she ensured everything was seamless for our guests. She coordinated the Bridal suites for getting ready and staying for the weekend. The day of the wedding, she facilitated every aspect, not only with the Hilton but with all vendors, helping to put my mind at ease. We hosted our after-party in the Hill Society room on the first floor, which made it convenient for our guests. The bartender, Mark, was fabulous! All in all, if I could relive our day, I would choose the Hilton 10 times over!
The Hilton provided the perfect wedding cocktail hour and reception! Rachele was always responsive to our needs and helped coordinate an "Event" that many of our guests said was the best they had ever been to...and we concur! The food was beyond 5-Star! I've heard that some venues give you a wonderful tasting, but then the food for the reception is not as good. I can tell you, the food was even better, and a grand slam for us and our guests! The room was set up perfectly, with a large dance floor for everyone to enjoy. The service was excellent from all those that served us...they helped make it even more special for us. The Hilton Harrisburg is the perfect place for your wedding event, especially if you have a lot of out of town guests, like we did.
My husband and I visited 5 wedding venues total and we liked the Hilton Harrisburg the best. The hotel is right downtown which is great for out of town guests who are looking for things to do during their stay. The hotel interior is nice and modern looking which makes for some great photos. We really liked the all-inclusive one price structure that the Hilton offers with their wedding packages. Definitely less headaches for us. The hotel also offers an on-site wedding coordinator – the amazing Rachele Sohn! We liked her from the moment we met her on our tour of the hotel. She has a great personality and we knew that we would enjoy working with her which we did! She was extremely organized and great with her follow-ups. She was very responsive to our email correspondences. We dropped off a lot of signs/decorations 2 days prior to the reception. Rachele and her team did exactly what we asked them to (where to put what on the day of) AND they gave us back everything neatly in the boxes provided. Our wedding reception went smoothly without any problems. The service provided from the banquet team was exceptional. They ensured our needs were met. The food at the reception was as good as when we did the tasting. You hear those stories of how some venues give you a great tasting but then the food turns out less than spectacular at the actual event. I can honestly say that the quality of the food at the Hilton is top notch. Nothing was overcooked/undercooked. We loved not having to do any set up or clean up whatsoever. Our complementary Junior Suite on the night of the wedding was great as well. If you are looking for an indoor wedding venue, I would highly recommend the Hilton Harrisburg.
My Husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Hilton. It was the best experience and venue we could have asked for! Rachele and her staff were the most sweet, caring, and amazing people! Rachele was so reassuring and helped us SO much throughout our whole planning process. We were so lucky to have her! The ceremony room, reception cocktail hour, and food was incredible! We had an amazing experience with Rachele at the Hilton Harrisburg during the entire wedding planning process. We live about 1.5 hours from Harrisburg and Rachele was very accommodating to our busy/out of the area schedules. She was very organized during our phone calls and meetings and answered all of our questions to put our minds at ease. She also provided us with all of our options so that we were getting the best prices for the experiences we wanted to provide to our guests. On the day of the wedding Rachele was available for anything we needed. She was only person able to bustle my dress as well :) Overall it was a fantastic experience for such an important day in our lives!
We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Hilton in Harrisburg, and we are so glad we chose this vendor! We looked at other vendors in the area, and this place met all of our criteria. We had 170 total in attendance, and most of our guests were from out of town. The Hilton was able to provide a great room block rate for our guests, and they all enjoyed the convenience of everything being at one location. The venue itself was recently updated, and the ballroom was a perfect neutral setting for us to make it our own. The best part was that we did not have to do any of the set up or tear down ourselves, and Rachele did a great job of coordinating all of the details, making the event and planning as low stress as possible. We really wanted our guests to have great food, plenty to drink, and a fun atmosphere, and the Hilton delivered on all of those. Many of our guests told us how much they loved the food, and trust me, that is a very important detail!! Their pricing is also very honest, and in my opinion, quite competitive with some of the other local venues we looked at. While other venues quoted us a per person package price that started out lower than the Hilton, many had different "add ons" or things that weren't included, or extra labor involved on our end. At the end of the day, I feel that we might have paid more and gotten less at another venue. A lot of people told us that they put so much time and effort into planning and executing their wedding, and when the big day came, it was over before they had a chance to really relax and enjoy it, but that was not the case for us. Rachele and her staff took away a lot of that stress, and we had such a great time. There isn't a single thing that I would have changed about our wedding! It was a perfect day!
We used the Hilton for our room block and morning-after brunch for our Labor Day weekend wedding. Rachele was amazing, so helpful with everything and very responsive. It was the perfect place to stay, and amazingly located!!

My husband and I loved working with Rachele Sohn (wedding coordinator at the Hilton Harrisburg) and the entire team at the Hilton Harrisburg. From the moment we walked in to first visit the location we were treated like royalty. Rachele is responsive, energetic and super sweet. She has so many amazing ideas and has an amazing eye for design. I simply gave her a few inspirational photos and she took off with ideas from them. In the end, our ballroom was so beautiful and was beyond what I could have even imagined. I got multiple compliments on the decor, food and atmosphere. It truly was the best decision to have our wedding reception there! I wouldn’t change a thing and would highly recommend it to anyone!
The venue was perfect and elegant, the food was excellent, and the help we received from Rachele Sohn at the Hilton was phenomenal. She took care of every detail, had several food tastings, made great recommendations, and was always quick to answer emails, phone calls, and last minute questions.
Where to even begin.. Our wedding at the Hilton Harrisburg in July was AMAZING!!! From the time we met with the coordinator, Rachele Sohn, last fall to following up with her after the big day, she has been an ABSOLUTE JOY to work with!! She has been there for my husband and I every step of the way during wedding planning. From helping us decide on what appetizers and entrees to serve at the reception to giving us recommendations on vendors (cake, DJ, etc.)and invitation wording to helping us plan out our wedding day timeline to making sure our hotel room block did not sell out too quickly, Rachele made sure no detail, no matter how small, went overlooked. We met with her multiple times throughout planning and she walked us through every detail and decision of our reception (and our wedding day) to ensure that it was absolutely perfect (and it was so much fun doing so). She was very prompt whenever you needed to reach her via email or phone. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, I was worry-free because I knew that she (and the vendors that she had recommended) were taking care of everything and that our wedding day was in great hands. After choosing our vendors, I gave Rachele a list of their names and contact info and she took care of all coordination with vendors from that point on. On the day of our wedding, it was great knowing that my family, bridal party, and I could relax 100% and focus on the day itself! At the reception, everything was spectacular and really just PERFECT. The food was amazing (we made sure to sit and eat as we were NOT missing out on that awesome food!) and we received so many compliments from our friends and family on the food and the service. There were numerous attendants present in the cocktail hour area and the reception ballroom making sure that we and our guests were well taken care of! At the end of the night, one of the attendants gave my husband and I the keys to our complimentary bridal suite and it was AWESOME! The Hilton employees had already taken up our gifts and cards to our suite and had even put the top tier of our wedding cake in a box inside the refrigerator. The chilled champagne was quite nice, as well. My husband and I hosted a breakfast the next morning for the bridal party and our parents, and once again, the food and staff were amazing! The Hilton Harrisburg made our wedding day a dream come true and I cannot thank Rachel and the staff at the Hilton enough. We might just have to make a point to stay overnight on our anniversary each year and relive that amazing night! My husband and I could not have chosen a better place to have our wedding!!

My daughter had her wedding May 20, 2017 at a venue near the Harrisburg Hilton. I had about 125 guests stay overnight at the hotel. From the minute everyone checked in the staff and service were excellent. I worked with the catering sales manager for a year and a half planning for the wedding. She was wonderful. The rooms were very nice. We had an after party in the hotel's restaurant/bar after the wedding, they were so nice to keep it open late for my guests. Then we had a breakfast the next morning for my guests it was superb. Overall was just so happy with everything at the Harrisburg Hilton.
Everything went so smoothly! We met with Rachele many times over a year period. She walked us through everything, from start to finish! She was so helpful - my dad, who was very much interested in being involved, lived very far away. Rachele was always available to communicate with him, walked him through everything, and then, of course, checked in with my husband and I with any changes he wanted to make. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better wedding. We had a blast!! Thank you!
We used the Harrisburg Hilton for our wedding in January and were extremely happy. Rachele Sohn and her staff were wonderful she made all the planning so easy for us. The newly renovated ball room was great. They gave us discounted rooms for all of our guests and it was wonderful to be all together for reception and accommodations. We were given a bridal suite free of charge and we stayed all weekend and made it a mini vacation as well. I can't say enough about the food it was Excellent!! Our guest were very impressed with the quality of all the food and beverages that were served. We would highly recommend the Hilton to anyone planning their wedding.
Having our wedding reception at the Hilton was wonderful. Having Rachele Sohn plan, comfort, and guide us through it all was an absolute blessing! From choosing napkins, to the table layouts, to honoring my dad with a display and his favorite brews for toasting, nothing was ever overlooked. My every worry was put to rest simply after talking it over with Rachele.

I cannot recommend the Hilton Harrisburg enough! We did not get married at the hotel, but we used it as the hotel for the wedding party and our guests (we had a lot of out of town guests) and we hosted a breakfast there the next morning. Leading up to our wedding, Rachele and the team were excellent. Rachele was always responsive, easy to work with, and accommodated all of our needs. If anything did come up with our party, she always had creative solutions! On our wedding weekend, the service and the staff were wonderful. The breakfast on Sunday exceeded our expectations with the staff making us, our families, and all of our guests feel so welcome! All of our guests commented on how excellent our hotel choice was.
My husband and I used the Hilton as our hotel block for our downtown Harrisburg wedding. Everything was amazing!! Rachele is an absolute joy to work with, she was always quick to respond to emails and continually added rooms to get my entire guest list covered. The hotel is gorgeous and the food is top notch. My guests are still talking about what a great experience they had staying there. My husband and I spent our wedding night and the next night in one of the junior suites and it was incredible. Can't reccomended booking with anyone else!
Rachele and team made it extremely easy for us to book our wedding block (so last minute). We had a change in our venue only 50 days before our wedding. She and her team were easily reachable. Our guests loved the Harrisburg Hilton, as my husband and I did too. If you are questioning where to book your block of rooms in the downtown Harrisburg area, look no further. They even handed out welcome bags that my in-laws made for our out of town guests staying at the hotel.

Pros: By far the nicest hotel in the area. Great meeting rooms and options for brunch, location for an "after wedding beverage," perfect location for guests (if they want to go out before/after), good option for rehearsal dinner (steakhouse in the lobby by the bar)
Neutral feelings about: Response time was good for the most part (considering the normal response rate for our vendors was about a WEEK, Rachele was prompt and usually responded in about a day most of the time)
Cons: More expensive than other options in the area (by about $25-50 a room single/double) and a food and bev minimum even though we had a block of rooms filled (but we would have spent the same on breakfast anyway).
Would have been nice: A shuttle (they have a town car for airport pickups).
The venue was amazing!!! The ballroom was fabulous as was the banquet team. We worked with Rachele Sohn and she did an amazing job. If there were any issues that day we did not see them, she took great care of us and made sure the day was FLAWLESS. I could not have asked for a better experience. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a place to hold their reception.
The Hilton Harrisburg is the perfect venue for a Central PA wedding! The staff is incredible, and the quality that you'll receive is second to none. We had a fantastic experience and our guests all enjoyed getting to eat & stay overnight in one great and convenient location. We can't say enough great things about everyone at the Hilton Harrisburg, and happily recommend this venue for a special event or wedding.

My husband and I were so pleased to have our wedding weekend at the Hilton in Downtown Harrisburg. The Hilton had some renovations over the winter and we were so happy with how the hotel turned out. The food was spectacular! Every single guest commented on how amazing the dinner was. Our coordinator, Lindsey, was with us every step of the way and made sure our weekend would be stress free. The Hilton staff were very attentive and polite. The bridal suite was absolutely amazing offering plenty of space for my bridal party to prepare, and not to mention breathtaking views of the river. The hotel was very accommodating especially for our pet-friendly guests. Excellent venue!!
My husband and I had a nearly flawless experience at the Hilton. We had our wedding reception here. This is an excellent choice for large weddings that are not on a super-tight budget. While the food packages were more than some caterers, we feel that we received a lot for the price. It is certainly a steal considering the price per head at some other Central PA venues. Moreover, the executive chef worked closely with us to adjust our menu to meet our specific vision. My husband and I were most pleased with the wait staff during our reception. We were treated like kings and queen, with our every request met. Unfortunately, no one is perfect. There were a few oversights on the part of the Hilton that night. These oversights related to one last minute addition (that was not actually added) and a bit of coordination with an outside vendor. Everything that was pre-arranged and solely the responsibility of the Hilton was executed perfectly.
They were flexible with my wishes and are trained professionals. The tables were nicely prepared, the food was EXCELLENT, and everything ran smoothly. Kim was our wedding coordinator and she was very kind to work with.
The Hilton Harrisburg was great to work with! Kim Deline was so professional and took care of all of the details of our room block and day after breakfast. She even made sure that guest reservations that were not made through our wedding website made it into our block. We stayed in a Towers Room for our wedding night and it was so clean and comfortable. The breakfast at Raspberries the next day was great. Our guests had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
Kim Deline, the event coordinator, made planning so simple for me. She was so easy to work with & so professional. She handled everything so perfectly. I would definitely reccomend the Hilton to anyone looking for a beautiful ballroom reception!

The Hilton worked with me from the very beginning to be sure that we had the rooms we needed for our wedding weekend. They blocked our rooms and created a personal website that I could log onto to check to see who reserved a room and for which nights. They made planning a breeze. We were also very pleased with the discounted rate they offered and I had a lovely, large suite to use to get ready on our wedding day.
