Beautiful venue with a responsive and friendly staff.
We are beyond grateful for the HG events team and their assistance throughout our wedding planning process. The venue was easy to get in touch with, and was organized with their timelines, online scheduling, etc. We were planning our wedding from our of state, so the HG team was kind enough to walk us through the site via a video tour.
The venue is beautiful! You need minimal decor, as the gardens themselves are stunning and well-maintained. HG also provides you with a list of vendors to use, which assisted us in this process.
The gardens are public, but the HG team did a great job of ensuring that our event felt private by closing off certain access points and having a staff member nearby during our ceremony to ensure that onlookers did not interrupt the special day.
We were also appreciative of the fact that this venue is cognizant of your budget. They offer a list of caterers to choose from that can fit most any budget, and allow for you to provide your own alcohol. Linens were also provided (but this may not apply to all parties, as I believe this depends on head count and date of wedding). Each step of the planning process, I felt heard and responded to.
Thank you Hudson Gardens team for making our day so special!

Hudson Gardens was a stunning venue for our wedding. Our reception was in the Bloom Room. It fit 100 of our wedding guests comfortably. The Bloom Room offers a panoramic view of the gardens and yet it also felt very intimate. The roll up doors on the sides of the Bloom Room offered a flexible space and we found our guests sitting around the venue and moving in and out of the space with ease, but also allowing plenty of interaction. If you have a smaller wedding, I can’t recommend it enough.
Erin was amazing and so easy to work with. She was very knowledgeable and professional and efficient! It was like we didn’t have to do anything and she kept everything running smooth.
I should also mention all the great areas to take stunning photos at Hudson Gardens! Don’t hesitate to use Hudson Gardens for your wedding venue!

Hudson Gardens and their team truly made our special day what it was. From booking to our actual event, Hudson Gardens was organized and happy to answer any questions we had along the way. The Hudson Garden team are professional and will ensure your day runs smoothly without a hitch. The gardens themselves were the perfect landscape for our wedding and left us and our guests in awe with its natural beauty. We could not recommend this venue enough!

Absolutely beautiful outdoor venue with backdrops to fit any feeling (romantic, woodsy, mid-summer’s eve), reasonably priced too. Our ceremony at Monet’s Garden was everything we envisioned. Professionalism was great! Communication started great but in transition as our wedding got closer, became more of a 2-3 star experience. If they do not connect you with their grounds coordinator, make sure to request a meeting or phone call between your day of coordinator and their grounds coordinator. If I could do anything differently, I would use their preferred vendors all the way through - our DJ service could not get our officiants lapel mic to work and blamed Hudson Gardens. Our day of coordinator said she was familiar with Hudson Gardens, their layout and how they operate but I don’t believe that to be true, so ask for references if they say they’ve worked the garden but aren’t on Hudson’s preferred vendor list.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hudson Gardens in September. We booked the the Inn and Backyard. The flowers were still in bloom, and the evergreens were a beautiful backdrop to our ceremony. Our guests enjoyed strolling through the grounds before the ceremony. As we moved inside to the Inn for dinner, the space provided ample room for our 150 guests for dinner and dancing. The bridal suite was a great getting ready room, and there was a seperate space for the bar and buffet to spread people out. The group at Hudson Gardens (Erin) were responsive, and rehearsal time provided us comfort before the big day.

As the mother of the bride I was thrilled our daughter wanted her wedding at Hudson Gardens. We have long been supporters of the venue and their events. The Bloom Room is relatively new and provided the perfect venue. You could have an outdoor wedding in the Rose Garden, but have the backup Bloom Room in case of rain. The Bloom Room made for an enchanted reception room for an evening wedding. Having required vendors was great for me. I knew Hudson's already took the time to check them out, knowing they would provide quality food and service. We only had to decide which was best for us. The requirement to have a day of planner was also appreciated. We did much of the planning ourselves, but to have someone on the day to carry out the plan, allowed all of us to enjoy in the moment. All in all it was a complete success. Thanks to all at Hudson's especially Erin our event coordinator who brought great energy and excitement for our event.

My now husband and I found ourselves in quite a predicament. Two days before our wedding our original venue canceled our event and we had to quickly find a new one that would accommodate for our vendors and guests. We were so lucky to find Hudson Gardens. The staff was extremely helpful during a stressful time. The venue was able to hold our 175 guests, had ample parking, plenty of resources for a catering team, and was absolutely beautiful with several great backdrops for group and individual photos. Its location was also very convenient. The staff helped our day run smoothly and I can truly say we had the best day of our lives!!

This venue was absolutely perfect! We wanted our wedding to be elegant but have a bit of a laid back, backyard wedding vibe. We chose Monet's place and the Pavilion. Monet's place was shaded during the ceremony which kept everyone comfortable and made for great pictures. We loved the white tent, string lights and indoor/outdoor feel of the Pavilion for the reception. We got so many compliments from our guests on how perfect the venue was.

Honestly, I was nervous about initially booking with Hudson Gardens after I read some negative reviews. I’m SO glad I didn’t let the negative reviews get to me, because I had the complete opposite experience and wanted to shed light on that. Erin exceeded all my expectations from the venue side. From responsiveness to flexibility to kindness and to guiding me when I felt like I could rip my hair out from stress.
We toured the venue in the off-season, so we really had to rely on pictures to get the idea of how beautiful the rose garden and bloom room was, since our wedding wasn't until September (super nerve-racking), but it ended up being EXACTLY what we wanted.
The perk of taking pictures anywhere on the property was another highlight. Monet’s Place or the area with the bridge and pond was so special!!

Amazing venue, with top notch customer service from our venue coordinator and day-of venue representative! The venue coordinator was super responsive and always jumped in to help answer all of my million questions. She helped guide me towards all the best vendors and it truly made our special day PERFECT. Highly recommend!!!

Hudson Gardens is a beautiful area. We picked the Rose Garden and Bloom Room, and it was absolutely beautiful. I’m so thankful to have been married in a beautiful venue BUT we had many issues with the staff there. The head of the rental department was impossible to get a hold of and at one point quit returning my emails. The short rental time was very difficult and after the ceremony the sprinklers went off which completely ruined all my decorations. There was no representative there the day of my wedding which made it difficult to solve issues when the venue didn’t provide all of the tables and chairs we were promised. The communication was awful and made for a stressful situation. At least the grounds were beautiful and well kept, and we received many compliments on the venue choice!

I would never recommend Hudson Gardens to anyone getting married--very very unprofessional staff(when they finally got there) You could not even get in the venue until very late to decorate and then the catering company had to set up the tables in a rush!! They insisted on stopping the music early even though the couple paid for an extended time-- then had the audacity to call the police!!! They ruined my niece's end of the night!!!

Future brides and grooms, DO NOT have your wedding at Hudson Gardens. The worst experience ever. My daughter got married in June 2023 at Hudson Gardens, and the experience we had was far below low. Once they took our money, they could have cares less about us. Communication was lacking and my daughter tried several times to email and call them and they would never return her calls back or emails. That alone was frustrating. The day of the wedding the catering company was late getting started on getting the tables set up and table cloths so that all my sisters could put the decorations on the tables. There was not a table for my cake gal that came to set iup the cake & cupcakes…as a result, I had to go, in a frenzy to the Catering head and talk to her about getting a table set up they finally agreed. Meanwhile, my cake lady had left because they told her to leave and I wasn’t in the venue room yet, as I was getting dressed for the wedding next door. And guess who had to set it up ? Me, the mom of the bride. I was supposed to be getting pictures taken and here I was sweating and putting together a table . It gets so much worse. Everything seem to be going fine and we were all dancing after dinner and having a good time. I thr head Catering waiter came up to me and said, is it OK if we just serve wine and beer now? I said what? She said I am notified that everything is getting out of control and people are throwing up. I’m like wow that’s weird…. I walked around the venue and outside. I saw nothing like that. Went into the restroom And even the men’s restroom and there is no vomit. I’m like what is going on? there was no on-site Hudson Gardens coordinator. There was some kid name Hunter that was responsible for lighting an air conditioning, stocking the bathrooms
and basically he just sat on his phone all night in the kitchen. I understand they were clearing all the tables off and my husband came to me and said this woman made me go take down the Archway flower, decorations , and was yelling at Cindy, our friend who was helping my daughter the bride that day, telling her those need to come down in mid reception. Really? I thought that’s what you did at clean up which was to start at 11:30 to 1230 that night. This is way before that so there goes my husband out to the car to go get the ladder to get the decorations down with my son-in-law and my son , and Having to rip them to shreds to get it down. Not to mention the lighting was horrible. Then out of nowhere this woman with a sweatshirt on that looks like she just got off her couch, comes barreling down the hill where the Bar tent was, on her cell phone and screaming at us. I walked outside the venue & said to her , what’s going on? will you tell me what happened and who are you? She yelled at me and pointed her finger at me and said I am calling the police…. I’m like whaaat? and my friend next to me said this is totally unprofessional, what is wrong with her. Guess what, she calls the police! my daughters wedding was supposed to be ending at 11:30 as a result, ( clean up from 11:30 to 12:30 )she did not get to do her last dance with her husband to their favorite song. The DJ was asked to put the mic down, and if he played another song, she was calling the cops. He tried to converse with her as well and she said it’s none of your business and who do you work for? He tried to get her name and she wouldn’t give it. Totally whacked. by the way, the police did come and they couldn’t find anything wrong and they just kind of stood there. I think they were laughing under their breath. And they left, they said everything was fine. I have no idea why she called the police. Finally got her name, Angela Yeager. She shut down the wedding and frantically my sisters, and I are trying to put all the decorations that we had spent many months and money on into boxes and throwing things haphazardly all over the place, while the waiters were trying to tear down the tables; it was horrible. This is all at 10:30-ish, mind you My daughter sat in the dressing room in tears, and she did not know what was going on because honestly, there was nothing going on until this Angela Yeager came into the picture. This is a day that my daughter and her husband and family can never get back. I am warning all future brides and grooms do not book at this venue. I do not want you to have to have the worst day of your life..

I attended a wedding at Hudson Gardens on June 10th. Several of my friends said they had been to weddings there several years ago and it was beautiful. I was not impressed. Apparently HG went under new ownership and the reviews I read after the new ownership were not good. In fact, several of the complaints were the same as I experienced . I used the ladies bathroom and found the toilet paper rolls were almost empty. Hmm, bad sign and wedding hadn’t even started yet. I asked the caterer who was in charge. This kid in a sweatshirt came out with no name tag on, I said the bathroom needed servicing. He walked away and I don’t know if he put TP in the bathroom or not.
After dinner the DJ started playing the music. The tables had been cleared of plates and napkins. I was asked several times if I was done with my water and wine. I noticed the waiter was clearing all the other tables of glasses. Please note that it was early in the evening. Sure enough, I danced with my husband and when I returned, our table had been cleared. No wonder everyone was in the bar line to get another drink. I kept thinking why was the catering service in such a hurry to clear the tables? The wedding reception was supposed to go on until 11:30. As I looked at the long line at the bar, I said to my husband, “do they know how much liquor they just threw away?” And it was in plastic glasses!!
There was no lighting along the walkway to the north parking lot. We had parked near the entrance to the Bloom Room as I was bringing in items for the tables. Dangerous. As I left the reception at 10:50, I thought that this was not a great place for weddings. Bathrooms are small and too far away from the Bloom Room. The bridal room was so small, I felt sorry for the bride who had to sit in there, let alone get dressed in there with the bridesmaids. I told my husband that I would have never rented this place for a wedding.
The communication of who was onsite was nonexistent. Believe me, I tried to get toilet paper!! Please brides, read the reviews before committing.

What a beautiful place to be married! We had our ceremony in the Rose Garden and our reception at The Inn. It was very lovely and so nice to have everything contained close together - we loved the ease of just walking across a little grass to join cocktail hour from the ceremony. All of our guests raved about how pretty Hudson Gardens is, and our pictures are so beautiful.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was some unfortunate miscommunication and construction issues we faced. The Rose Garden reception venue was supposed to be finished in Fall of 2021, which should have been plenty early for our June 2022 wedding. However, due to unforeseen constructions delays they did not have it finished and we were forced to pick a new reception site 2month before our wedding date. Luckily the other 2 reception venues at Hudson Gardens were still available for our day, which ended up working out. We also had issues finding someone to communicate with - during the COVID fallout and construction issues it seemed that there was a lot of staff turnover and we were often unable to reach people. In the end we worked with Cherylann who did a fantastic job of communicating and making sure the day of went very smoothly. Seeing as our concerns were very specific and mostly construction related I do not foresee this being a problem for future couples. Definitely check out this venue as it is sure to please!

I got married at Hudson Gardens this September. I was extremely lucky to be one of the first bride's in the new Bloom Room. We didn't know if we were going to be in this venue until a couple weeks before the wedding. I am grateful we were able to be in this space. It is beautiful, has great lighting, and the garage doors are able to roll up. However, the communication with the wedding coordinators at Hudson Gardens was not good. We had a couple different people email us throughout the planning process which became very confusing. My photographer tried contacting the venue about the use of a drone on site for pictures and videos. One person told her the use of drones wasn't okay and another person told the bride that the use of drones was fine. It led to a ton of confusion and the drone wasn't used at the wedding because no one contacted the photographer back to confirm it was okay. Whenever we tried contacting the coordinators, it would sometimes take quite awhile to hear a response back.
My wedding was at 4:30pm and right afterwards, there was another wedding next door at 5pm. However, as my bridesmaids and I were trying to take photos before the wedding, the bride from the wedding next door came over to my venue space and began taking photos. We were told that the coordinators at Hudson Gardens would help stop people at the other wedding from coming into our venue space. We paid for our venue space and I don't think it was very fair that we couldn't get the photos we wanted because there was another bride in our space that WE reserved. To add to this, we arrived to the venue and the incorrect tablecloth colors were on our tables. We came to find out that they had put the tablecloths from the wedding next door on our tables on accident. The bride is the one who noticed this and made somewhere aware to change it. While this may not be the venues fault, I do not think they should have weddings next door to each other on the same night. I agreed to this in my contract, but just warning other brides that when you reserve a space, there may be another wedding next door and they may confuse your wedding with the one next door and the other bride may also invade your own space. You or your vendors are also not allowed to get into the venue to set up until 2:30 unless you "buy" more time. This was certainly not enough time for set up. It seemed to rush everyone when trying to set up and also rushed the bridal party to take photos. We felt very rushed.
We were also lucky to be able to use real candles but just a warning for future brides, they no longer allow real candles so all your candles have to be fake. You also are not allowed any rose petals so you can't have that when walking down the aisle. The getting ready rooms are also incredibly small. We got ready at my aunt's house beforehand but if you have more than 4-5 bridesmaids, just know they will be handing outside the room before the wedding.

TL;DR: We found out with the three months to go until our wedding, after reaching out ourselves, that our reception venue would not be built on time because construction had been delayed 9 months.
I know everyone is extra sensitive to their own wedding and the plan they had in their heads, but I firmly believe Hudson Gardens was deeply in the wrong in our case, and anyone considering choosing their venue for a wedding deserves to hear our story as a warning.
My fiancée and I booked Hudson Gardens in May 2021 as our wedding venue for June of 2022. We were thrilled that we had secured a beautiful, reasonably-priced venue 13 months in advance, especially during an incredibly busy wedding season.
We were told that the reception venue was being redone by November 2021. We figured they had 7 months of wiggle room until June 2022, so we’d be fine.
In March 2022, after 10 months of planning, my family drove by and noticed that nothing was built. I reached out to our contact for more info.
A day later, we received a response that began with, “you all were on my list to reach out to with an update,” and gave us the bad news that the venue wouldn't be built. They said we could - 1) reschedule the wedding for sometime after August when it would be built, 2) move the ceremony to the 10 am slot and use a different reception space, 3) use the ceremony site at the planned time and go somewhere else for a reception, or 4) cancel entirely.
For a variety of reasons, we were left with option 4, and had to pull off an entire wedding ceremony and reception in my parents’ backyard with about 2.5 months to go.
We flew past our budget by $10k, even while trying to keep costs as low as possible. The tent rental cost more than our wedding venue would have been.
I wrote a letter to the CEO explaining our situation and how I believed Hudson Gardens was responsible for any costs we now had to incur that went beyond our original venue price. He responded 10 days later (an eternity to us) after I bugged the event team. In the response, he denied that they were responsible, citing a clause from our contract. I knew they had covered themselves legally, but was hoping the situation would be considered morally. To me, it was clear that a $10k+ increase in price for us this late in the planning, due to no fault of our own, was unacceptable and unfair.
The response was also frustrating because it focused more on how they weren't legally responsible instead of apologizing profusely for the disruption they caused. It was also clear that the CEO had not carefully read my letter, as he got the numbers wrong and seemed to misunderstand what I asked for.
To give them their due, they refunded us for the venue (of course). They also eventually gave us a credit towards rentals. It came nowhere near the full cost, but was helpful.
In the end, my fiancée and I were happy with our new plan. We’re incredibly fortunate that we had a backup option, and the important thing is that we were able to have an in-person gathering with our friends and family. But I wouldn’t be surprised if the stress we endured took days off of our lives!
I understand wanting to choose Hudson Gardens as a wedding venue - it’s a beautiful garden that isn’t ridiculously priced. And I hope that most couples this summer, and in the future, have no issues at all. But clearly there was something wrong at the organizational level for this situation to happen, and I hope you factor this in to your decision.

The Hudson Gardens is an amazing venue to get married at! We had our ceremony and cocktail hour at the Rose Garden on 9/4 and though only one Rose Bush was blooming, all the rest of the florals were amazing. the tall grass and flowers had a riot of color and the lawns were beautiful. And really, not much of the rose bushes will be captured in photos.
Our reception was at the Welcome Tent (Rose Garden Tent had weather damage and was unable, which was a total bummer but also meant we had 2/3 spaces reserved for our wedding). We loved the little lawn with market lights - a great place for people who wanted to escape the band noise to gather. We had 85 guests with 12 tables (including the head table). Still plenty of room for the dance floor and band's stage. If you'll have more than 90 guests + a band, tables will need to be broken down to dance.
Overall, the venue gave me zero stress day of, which was great. The only thing that I had to ask for was to open up more of the sides of the Welcome Tent so that we could have more open air/ventilation in these covid times.
We had no problem with other guests being there, the event staff made sure they never intruded on the festivities. We were even able to use the Monet Garden bridge and space for photos and guests never ended up in the shots!

Thank goodness for the Hudson Gardens! I worked closely with Kassandre after reaching out 2 months before my wedding since our first venue had to cancel on us due to Covid restrictions. Kassandre and her staff went above and beyond confirming all of our event needs within a few weeks - ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception locations. They were all very accommodating and had a list of preferred vendors so it made our options very easy to choose from since they did all the research prior! With their long-standing relationship with each vendor, everyone was already familiar with the location layout and contracts so I hardly lifted a finger and not to mention, minimal decorations were needed as the venue was already beautiful to begin with. Thank y'all so much for making our special day run flawlessly!

Hudson Gardens is a BEAUTIFUL space and made for some lovely photos. I wanted to love this spot for my wedding, but it was hands down the worst part about my otherwise lovely wedding day. I got married in October 2019. In July of 2019, HG fired their entire venue staff and brought on a new team of people. While this made me nervous, I tried to make the best of essentially starting over with all of my questions and wishes about my venue vision. I requested that I only deal with one person over there, as I was receiving calls from several different people, including returned calls from messages I had left weeks after I left it and had already spoken to someone. Despite my request, every time I spoke to a different person, and they had no idea what was going on with my arrangements and could never answer a question without hanging up and having to call back. Even then, I got conflicting answers about things. The initial staff I dealt with when I signed a contract had allowed for decorative options that the new staff later told me I could not do. I was also informed very late in the game that I could not use the "get ready room" until 1pm the day of my wedding. What bride doesn't get ready for her 4pm wedding until 1pm? I had weeks to scrounge up a new plan for where to get ready.
We had a Chuppah (an arch for the ceremony) for our Jewish wedding, and had to fight with the facility about letting us set the Chuppah up before 1pm the day of (again in conflict with the original promises given to us). Keep in mind, we had the space for the whole day, no other events going on, so we should not have had a problem setting up or using the "get ready room". I will get back to the Chuppah in a minute.
As I was preparing to walk down the aisle on my big day, I noticed a woman in shorts, a t-shirt, and a visor, standing to the side of my guests near a bush. I was uneasy about the intruder because renting the space means the public cannot access the area. My wedding coordinator found out she was the Hudson Gardens CEO. I thought this was highly unprofessional and downright creepy. At least dress up if you're going to snoop on my big day, let alone the concept of introducing yourself ahead of time.
During my wedding reception, staff from HG could not be found unless sought after. I had never met anyone from HG ahead of the wedding who was there that day, making them total strangers to me. We had to track down HG staff to find out why a third of the Inn was so seemingly dark compared to the rest of the room. Turns out, they hadn't turned on that set of lights.
The WORST and most INAPPROPRIATE aspect of HG was when they pulled my father out of the reception and told him he had to take down our Chuppah before it got dark. We had the space rented until 11pm, with an hour of clean up scheduled after that. There was NO reason he had to take it down in the middle of our wedding. He missed a crucial part of the reception to take it down, in his suit, and we were searching for him everywhere, because we didn't know the staff had dragged him out of the wedding, and it was incredibly upsetting. I would still like to know WHY they did this? A Chuppah can't stay up...
When I booked HG, the beauty and affordability were appealing to us. After experiencing it, I would have paid the money to deal with better people, have more professionalism and ease leading up to and during the wedding, and be treated with respect. I do not recommend them.

The Hudson Gardens was an absolute dream wedding location. We got married on October 12 and luckily we avoided the snow! The entire venue was a beautiful fall theme with orange and brown leaves with still some blooming flowers. We had so many perfect places to take pictures and our guest loved the freedom to walk around the whole area as their leisure. We loved that they gave us a list of vendors to choose from because it took the guess work out of the planning and we ended up loving all of them! Our walk through was seamless and allowed us to visualize the day of the wedding. They were all very professional and responded in a timely manner. There is one person assigned to each wedding to make sure all of the vendors know where to go and they make sure everything is available to the vendors including tables and chairs. The tent we had the reception in was beautifully lit with string lighting on the ceiling and the bathrooms just outside of the tent were new and clean. We loved our experience with The Hudson Gardens and we highly recommend them.

Hudson Gardens has three gorgeous options for venues (both ceremony and reception). We chose the Rose Garden venue, which was so beautiful. We chose to do a morning wedding, the only complaint I had was the heat that day! The garden with the fountain behind the ceremony was beautiful, and having a tent and restrooms all nearby for the reception was so convenient. We did have someone steal money out of the bride's dressing room, which stays unlocked throughout the whole wedding, so don't leave any valuables in the dressing rooms!

If you want an outside ceremony and inside reception, this is your place! We booked this venue about a year in advance to make 100% sure we got what we wanted and it paid off! We got exactly what we were looking for; beautiful trees, full healthy ponds, a waterfall and a lush green landscape, all in the heart of Littleton, CO. We still get feedback from our guests about how beautiful a venue it was. The only advice I can give to future brides who want to use this as their venue are a few things 1) stay on top of communication with the venue they are very busy and not only are running a wedding/event center but are also running a non-profit organization open to the public with a lot of events going on during the busy season. Don't get discouraged if you find you are doing your final walk through ten days before your event. 2)Stay on top of your timeline and make sure all vendors are aware of the time your event begins and ends. We did not have any problems but we were tipped off that the gardens are very strict about having their events begin and end on time. Of course, all of that is finalized when you do your final walk through! Overall we are extremely greatful this beautiful outdoor event center is a short drive from where we live!

Hudson Gardens was an amazing venue to host our wedding! The staff was very professional and always promptly responded to any questions that we had. We had our wedding at The Inn, and all of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was inside and out. Both The Inn and the surrounding area was stunning for our fall wedding. Thank you Hudson Gardens!

It is so beautiful and the PERFECT backdrop for a wedding. They are particular about many things and have a vendor list that you must pick from for catering, but the restrictions didn’t bother me. We found great vendors off their vendor list and the beauty of the gardens is well worth it. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants an outdoor setting that is quiet and gorgeous and within minutes of the city. I had the best day and am so glad I found this venue for my wedding!!!

We couldn't have asked for a better venue than Hudson Gardens for our wedding. The staff in the rental department were all super helpful and prompt responding to emails and phone calls. There was a concert the same night as our ceremony and we were a little worried about the sound, but it was not a big deal at all! Parking was a little confusing, but everyone figured it out. We did our ceremony in the Rose Garden and our reception in the Garden Canopy, and everyone commented about how great it was. Picking from their list of caterers was a little daunting at first because we didn't understand that the caterer does a whole lot more than bring the food, but we loved the one we picked and it turned out to be a great evening. We didn't do any decorating outside of table centerpieces because who can improve on those flowers in July?! The prices were reasonable and we paid to put a brick with our names on it in the wedding walk. Thank you Hudson Gardens!

We loved having our wedding at Hudson gardens!! From the very beginning all of our event coordinators were really great. We recently had our wedding at the Rose Garden at Hudson Gardens and it was absolutely perfect. It was the perfect size for our wedding and the roses were beautiful. I didn't feel like I needed to decorate as much because the gardens are so amazing and colorful. We loved being able to have yard games on the lawn and the dressing rooms were the perfect place to finish getting ready. The staff was always helpful and friendly. This is a really great venue at a very reasonable price.

This is a great Colorado venue! We had a late fall wedding at the Inn and were able to host our ceremony outside and reception indoors, and we could make that decision the week of! Sometimes it was hard getting a hold of the right event planner, but when you did they all were great to work with, professional and communicated very efficiently between each other. They definitely have their system down which was very nice. I would recommend a day-of-coordinator to help with logistics so you don't have to worry about that during your wedding. Overall, I would definitely recommend this venue!

We had our wedding at Hudson Gardens on 9/17/16 – Our ceremony was in the Rose Garden and our reception was in the Garden Canopy. It was absolutely fantastic; both areas were surrounded by gorgeous flowers. The grounds are well maintained and the staff is very helpful. Rates are competitive, but don’t include a lot of “extras” (no day of coordinator, linens, etc.). They do provide a list of approved vendors for the catering and the list is large and diverse with plenty of options. Communication with all employees throughout the planning process was easy and they responded promptly.
They also have certain rules that some might consider quirky (no petals allowed – you can drop daisies instead/no kegs allowed/no shots allowed/no drinking in the dressing rooms) but a rental associate should tell you all of that up front during the venue tour, and be sure to ask all of your questions before signing an event contract.
We loved every moment of our event at Hudson Gardens and would highly recommend their venues and services.

Hudson Gardens was a beautiful place to get married. We had our ceremony at Monet's place which was so picturesque. The trees provided a nice shade as well so it wasn't very hot - and this was at the end of June. It also is friendly on the budget because it really needs no decorations - it's so pretty all on its own.
The tent was also the perfect size for our group as well - 100. We had plenty of space and it didn't feel like you were crammed in there at the tables.
The people were very easy to work with. You just have to follow the rules and there are several. But it was a beautiful spot and one of the most reasonable I found that included tables and chairs, especially on a weekday. The Monday wedding is highly recommended - a fun weekend of celebrating before and not a lot of competition for dates on really any of your vendors. However, there was another wedding on the same night as ours which I was worried about. But no need, we didn't hear anything from their side of the venue, so no issues and there was also no road noise, which I was concerned about being so close to Santa Fe.

Everything was set up as planned, all doors were unlocked for the vendors to access at the agreed upon times, and there were no ugly surprises.
Of note:
You are paying strictly for the use of the gardens, there are no other services provided by this venue (wedding planning, catering, etc).
When it comes time to schedule the final rehearsal, you will have to do it at the final walkthrough- they would not allow it to be done earlier. This can be difficult if planning from out of state; for example I wasn't going to be back in Colorado for the final walkthrough until September 9, (Wedding was September 27) so I had to wait until then to schedule my final rehearsal.
During your event, the area is not closed, as it is a public garden. This means you may have people wander past your wedding or get in your way during rehearsal; a group of Girl Scouts exploring a bridge brought my rehearsal to a dead halt for a few minutes.
Overall, this is a beautiful venue! Everything was perfect the day of and I don't regret a thing! I very much would recommend this to other brides!

We had our wedding ceremony at Monet's place and our reception in the Welcome Garden Pavilion at Hudson Gardens.
Booking the venue was simple and the staff was friendly and easy to work with.
The venue itself is gorgeous, and the facilities are very nice.
The only down side was their strict policy on timing. Make sure you and your vendors don't start setting up before your scheduled time, or else you'll be fined. We arrived 15 minutes early and were asked to wait outside before we could use the dressing room.

This venue is BEAUTIFUL. We got married at the Rose Garden and the reception in the Garden Canopy. The flowers are amazing and they surround the tent canopy so that a ton of decorating is not even needed. It is also a great place to take pictures. It did not get 5 stars due to the coordinator, Karen. She was not friendly and did not seem
To care about her "customers" at all.

The Hudson Gardens and Event Center is a beautiful place for a wedding. We loved its proximity to Denver, which was convenient for all of our guests. We rented the Inn, and had an outdoor ceremony then utilizing the beautiful historic, rustic (also air-conditioned) Inn for our reception. The space is large and can comfortably accommodate more guests than we had. We had a lot of compliments on how beautiful our venue was!
When we had our first meeting with one of the event coordinators, she was very helpful and nice. She showed us photos of previous weddings and took the time to get to know our wedding vision. A few months after we booked, she left the company. Our wedding got assigned to another coordinator who was not as pleasant. We understand that the venue has rules, however, it seemed that was her only concern. She was just a bit too abrasive and off-putting.
Other than that, everything was wonderful! We were pleased with the affordability, location. and beauty. We enjoyed our time scoping the venue out for good photo-ops and had a great time in the gardens with our photographer on our wedding day!

I was mezmerized when we looked at the gardens for a reception venue. The Inn is beautiful, and the flowers around are gorgeous. The price was also incredibly reasonable, in my opinion, for a summer Colorado wedding.
In addition, they allow you to bring in outside alcohol, which really cuts costs. They have approved vendors for catering, etc. which were all reasonable and we had a very lovely time and it was a lovely venue.
That being said, Karen was horrible to work with. We signed our contract with a lady named Denise who told us there would be only 2 events on our day in order to allow for guests to not be crawling all over the grounds, and ample locations/time for photos. There were then 3 weddings scheduled, ours being the latest to start since our ceremony wasn't there, and the locations for the other brides were directly where I wanted my pictures taken. When we first contacted Karen regarding the other weddings timings and locations in the venue to be able to plan out the photography schedule, she refused to give us that information citing "protecting the other brides' privacy". This seems ludicrous to me, as we were not asking for their social security numbers, but were frankly trying to plan out the evening without stepping on anyone else's toes too.
If you can be strong against the stressful force that is Karen, the venue is worth it. If not, the effort in dealing with her may not be worth it, which is sad for a very lovely and affordable Colorado venue.

Hudson Gardens is a very beautiful venue that needs little to no decorating. The staff there will answer your questions in a timely manor but Karen does NOT smile in any of her interactions with you which can leave you feeling like she's mad at you. You do have to use one of their caterers, but it is a long list of people to choose from. Karen also made some helpful suggestions when I was having a rough time figuring out what else I was going to do when I ran into a conflict with venue restrictions. i.e. flower girls cannot drop petals but can release butterflies or blow bubbles. Make sure for your rehearsal (which they give you 30 minutes for) that they turn the power on if you need to plug in your music. On the day of they did give me a golf cart lift down to my site so I wasn't seen before my walk down the aisle. The lady assured me I was beautiful and talked to me the whole time. The rest of the day we had to sort of be our own guide through it all. I'd go with them again but I would have suggestions for them the second time around. There was a $750 deposit we are supposed to get back... we'll see if that happens

We absolutely loved the gardens. They were perfect for our vision of the wedding. We got married in the rose garden and didn't need to put up any decorations or flowers. The reception tent was great, very open and nicely lit. There was a concert going on across the park and we didn't even notice a sound issue- just a people issue with our photographer. We really wanted to go over to Monet's place to take pictures but it was blocked off for the concert. I think we were able to get some great shots though.
Denise was patient and very helpful. She worked so fluently with our caterer. Together they pretty much planned the timeline of our entire day.
My only critique is that there was a lot of miss-communication about scheduling our walk-through- which was taken care of very quickly.
But also for our rehearsal- we had to wait for other people to get out of our 'space' which we had scheduled for. I let the front desk lady know, but nothing was done. We ended up just waiting until that group was gone. Overall our wedding day was perfect.

My husband and I were in love with this venue when we saw it. On our rehearsal day there was no one there to walk us through everything. On our wedding day they did not unlock the men's dressing room, so the groom and groomsmen had nowhere to be while waiting for the ceremony. Overall, we really were very happy with the venue, but it was fairly expensive and the service was subpar.

Amazing! Denise was great to work with. The log cabin at Hudson Gardens was perfect for our winter wedding. In January they leave the inside christmas decorations up, which was perfect. They were woodsy, not cheesy at all! They basically had trees on either side of the fire place that were lit, and some pine garland on the fireplace, overall it looked absolutely amazing!

We had to change our wedding venue 28 days before our wedding due to the floods in Boulder. We found the Hudson Gardens through "Save My Colorado Wedding". Denise was wonderful to work with and helped us secure our wedding date at the Gardens, and get our paperwork done quickly. She was always available for questions and very friendly and sweet. Rentals are kind of expensive during peak season, but have the best flowers. Getting married in late fall-winter is also possible if you use the Inn. We used Monet's Place for our ceremony site, which feels intimate and has beautiful views of the pond. The Inn was wonderful for our reception with an outdoor patio for cocktails and lawn games, two cozy gas-burning fire places, a huge dance floor, dressing rooms, and a kitchen prep area. The best part about the Gardens is the multitude of beautiful picture taking spots. I recommend meeting your photographer there the week of and walking through where you want to take photos. The fall colors in mid October were breathtaking! We live 10 minutes from the Gardens and we had no idea it existed. It is a wonderful place and we will visit it again and again.

I was recently married at the Hudson Gardens. The venue, location, etc. were great. After a lot of research, it easily was the most beautiful place to have a quiet, intimate ceremony without a lot of fuss.
The only negative, and it wasn't much of one, is that the staff are not overly friendly. I felt like I was on my own the majority of the time to ensure everything moved forward as needed. The first time I called the venue the person I left a message for never returned my phone call, and the second person I called didn't apologize when I told her the first person never returned my phone call.
Take away the lack in customer service, the venue is great and inexpensive for smaller wedding parties.

We had our ceremony in Monet's Place and it was absolutely beautiful. I didn't feel the need to add any decorations as the setting itself was beautiful enough without any extra touches. The chairs looked great and we were able to set them up however we wanted them. The dressing rooms were adequate to our needs and honestly we didn't spend much time in them anyway. The welcome garden pavilion was perfect once we got the sides of the tent pushed back so it was basically only a roof and everything looked wonderful. They had just installed some new lighting in the ceiling of the tent that wasn't yet operational so that was a bummer because the lighting that we had to use was a little bright and harsh but even that didn't really matter.
Overall the day was perfect and beautiful and we didn't have a single thing go wrong. I would definitely recommend Hudson Gardens to future brides.

Hudson Gardens is beautiful, there's no denying that. However, they have A LOT of rules and restrictions. I'd be sure to go over EVERYTHING with Denise (coordinator) because she won't tell you the small details that can change your mind after putting down a non-refundable deposit. They used to let you arrive the day of if there wasn't another event that morning and set up, that isn't the case anymore. You have to buy extra hours ($150/ea) to get everything set up in time. There is a train that goes by everyday, we never heard it until my husband and I were saying our vows. Overall, this location is beautiful..I would recommend Monet's Place for the ceremony and the Welcome Center (structured tent) for reception.

I had my wedding in April at Hudson Gardens and it was like a fairy tale!!! I had my ceremony outside in the lawn in front of The Inn (the log cabin). We were able to walk the gardens and take pictures in a bunch of different spots. They already began planting flowers and the grass was green, it was beautiful!! I looked at several venues but always came back to Hudson Gardens. The staff there is so friendly and flexible. If you have not been to Hudson Gardens, I highly recommend going!!!
