If you are coming across Hannah, The Hummingbird event co I would 10000% highly recommend her!!!! She was such an asset to our day. We did our wedding planning it states away, we are from Austin, TX and planned our intimate wedding in the PNW. Hannah made us feel at ease through the whole process and even with last minute changes/adjustments she handled it all with so much grace. Outside of Hannah just being exceptional at being a wedding planner truly she is just such a kind, and warm human being and having that energy around us on such a special day is one of those things until the day of that we realized wow we picked such amazing vendors because this day turned out perfect but also the energy she brings to the table adds to the magical ambiance. We are so grateful for Hannah, and everything she did leading up to the day and the day off. Couldn’t have imagined our day without all her help and guidance and we feel immensely lucky we found her on our search.
Hannah is an extraordinary planner! From our first meeting, I knew she'd be a great partner to us through the planning process and she has exceeded all expectations. Hannah has excellent communication skills and is extremely well-organized. She always came to our monthly check-ins with a thorough agenda and guided us through all the different decision points (and there are many!) with helpful insights. Her many wedding planning guides on the planning site provided easy to digest information and made the planning process so much more efficient and stress-free.
On the wedding day, Hannah and her assistant were absolutely wonderful. It was truly amazing to see everything come together. There were so many moving pieces, vendors, and changing weather conditions, but through it all, we knew we could trust Hannah to execute our vision, and she did to perfection.
Hannah is the best and we cannot recommend her enough!
Hannah has been a fantastic partner for our wedding. We’ve been working with her since the spring of 2021. She made sure we were on track with our planning over the full planning period. She has a great wedding planning website, aisleplanner, which she’s stocked with lots of tips and questionnaires. It was great to plan our layout etc.
When we came close to the wedding she made sure we remembered the little things (like getting our marriage license haha) and took over our vendor communication. She also provided some gear for the wedding such as cake stands!
Day of the wedding I could relax getting ready knowing that she was at our venue making sure my vision was accomplished. I was able to delegate last minute adjustments to her (like an unexpected plus one) and she made sure we did all the things we wanted to do during our wedding day.
Hannah is fantastic and is at the beginning of a very successful wedding/event career! Thank you for everything!!
You know when you’re at the beginning of planning and have no idea where to start? What colors, vendors, venue, food should you get? It so overwhelming! Not when you hire, Hannah! She was the breath of fresh air, the attention to detail, the memory holder and the reassurance you need to hear that everything is going to be perfect on your wedding day. I say it every time when someone asks me how planning went, I’d have no idea where I would be if it wasn’t for Hannah. Hire her! Best decision and set up for your big day!
We would give A Bird with a Plan a million stars if we could. It's impossible to overstate how great Hannah is, and I hope that comes across in this review.
We came to Hannah after canceling our original wedding due to the pandemic. We wanted to hold a very small, COVID-conscious celebration six months out. But, we were completely burnt out on research and making decisions - our photographer was the only vendor we had booked.
It takes a uniquely organized, kind, empathetic, and decisive person to take on that mess - let alone with the grace and clear communication Hannah demonstrated at every turn. After spending ample time getting to know us, she compiled a list of potential venues that fit our vision and presented every important fact about them.
From the beginning, Hannah gave that level of attention and care to each detail of our wedding. She was truly invested and went above and beyond in a way we never could have expected.
She spent hours on video calls helping us navigate all decisions (then, sometimes, helping us unmake a decision and navigate the same decision all over again). Outside of those calls, she always promptly and fully responded to questions we sent via email or text.
The tools she uses also made it incredibly simple to track and reference all details ourselves. I'm certain some of them would've completely fallen through the cracks had we not worked with A Bird with a Plan.
Finally, Hannah was indispensable on our wedding day. She hauled all of the things we needed (and didn't know we needed!) to the venue, she coordinated set-up so we could focus on the day, and she ensured we were sticking to our timeline.
One moment specifically sticks out: I called Hannah to say I was worried the bouquets might get the bridesmaids dresses wet. It turned out she had brought a towel *specifically* for that reason and delivered it to my room immediately.
Hannah made wedding planning manageable - enjoyable, even. Our day was authentic to us and our vision, everything we could've hoped for, and it went off without a hitch. We truly believe that would not have been the case without A Bird with a Plan.
tldr - I would highly recommend anyone eloping, doing a micro wedding or getting married to work with Hannah. She will care about your wedding as if it’s her own.
Hannah was so fun to work with! She is so organized. She shared a budget tracker, to do list with a work back schedule and an online profile to get to know us - super efficient!
She’s passionate about wedding planning and this definitely came through as we were brainstorming together on working on incorporating traditional elements or just doing our own thing.
I love her email etiquette, communication style, and organization skills. I always trusted Hannah with all the small details. Her follow up emails always had clear action items, pros & cons.
Given that Hannah was so on top of it, I could email her in the middle of the night with ‘thoughts for my wedding’. While this was probably a little annoying for her (sorry Hannah!), she’d remember to follow up with me even when I had forgotten about it.
Scheduling calls with her was a breeze - time slot picker plus an automatic calendar invite (I live by my calendar - no back and forth of ‘when are you available?’).
Hannah is also super responsive! She offered to be available by text, call, or email. I preferred email. I don’t think she explicitly told me that she’d respond to every email within 12 hours, but she always followed up when she said and definitely within 12 hours (often within minutes). There was one weekend that Hannah was busy with another event and adopting a puppy. She told me ahead of time that her responses would be delayed, but it was still within a very reasonable timeframe (less than 24 hours).
We also had such a hard time committing and making decisions early on (sorry again, Hannah!), but Hannah was so patient, kind and understanding about all of this and helped us work through it.
We were originally planning a small elopement due to Covid but things changed quickly with vaccines and we were able to invite our family so this elopement turned into a micro-wedding at the last minute. Hannah was so flexible and was immediately on top of what this guest count means to our wedding and what changes needed to be made.
As far as the day of the wedding, Hannah was so amazing! The day went so smoothly! I could not be happier with Hannah!
Lastly, even though we did a smaller event, the stress of planning got overwhelming at times, but I loved having Hannah by my side because she’s also just fun to work with. When I was initially looking for someone to work with, I really didn’t think about how fun this would be - primarily, ‘could this person get the job done?’ Having Hannah just be fun to work with really helped make a stressful event more enjoyable. I cannot thank Hannah enough for her hard work, organizational skills and being agile with my ever changing requirements.
My wedding day was so incredibly easy all thanks to Hannah! I cannot recommend her enough.
To start off, Hannah was so willing, self-initiative, and generous in helping us finish planning the rest of our wedding! My husband and I planned an intimate backyard wedding, and we were experiencing burnout and fatigue. 3.5 weeks before our wedding day, I reached out to Hannah and she was AMAZING! Her spreadsheets, organization, coaching and encouragement, and open availability to check in were so, so helpful. May I mention that she was doing this in the process of buying and moving into a new home? If you need someone who is kind, willing, energetic, and a coach that will get you to calm down and enjoy your day, look no further.
