They supported us every step of the way, and brought my vintage garden wedding dreams to life! I started my new job as a nurse the week of my wedding, and they took all of the stress off of me! They helped me incorporate my vintage china and vintage thrifted glasses into the wedding, and used my grandmother’s crocheted tablecloth that she had made for me prior to her passing in the most beautiful and memorable way! Ashleigh was the most personable photographer with so much knowledge in her field! She made my husband and I feel so comfortable and got our sneak-peak images to us in less than 3 hours after the ceremony! The team was in charge of picking the florals and decorating, and myself, my husband, and our guests were blown away! I told Gina I planned to get my bouquet preserved, so she ensured they were kept safe and in water! My husband and I forgot to get the fruit for our planned “Summer berry water”, and Gina went out of her way to go to the store and get fruit, which did not go unnoticed and was so kind of her! We look through slideshows of our photos regularly and reminisce on how perfect our wedding was. Our wedding felt as organic and natural as the one we originally planned for, and if I had to do it again, with this team, I’d repeat it 100 times over. My wife & I gave up on our initial venue due to the unrealistic pricing expectations and limitation on what we were and were not allowed to do. One might assume that if a venue + food is the same price as a down payment for a home, creative freedom would be automatic. We found the Hytch immediately upon deciding that an elopement instead of a traditional wedding would be the correct course of action for us. The Hytch team created a majestic and unforgettable experience tailored to our wedding fantasy and desires to perfection. Skylandia Park encompassed all of the charm and beauty we had hoped for in an outdoors and beautiful but natural venue, and the Hytch team went above and beyond to ensure our day went off worry and stress free. Communication with The Hytch was seamless. My wife & I never felt any pressure during the planning phase, and they were always willing to accommodate us, and we're incredibly sympathetic to our previously botched experiences with our initial wedding venue. Gina & Mackenzie are sweet, considerate, and organically thoughtful people. To sum up our experience with the team, you can tell they are decent and kind individuals, that are in the business of creating perfect and memorable experiences for people that desire an affordable but still unforgettable wedding experience. They pour themselves into their work, and they become vested in you and your day. In this day and age, it is difficult to find such individuals and we are truly thankful to have found them in our time of need. The officiant, Gregg Katz, is an honest and upfront person. When he called us to introduce himself and begin to understand our story, he was very candid. He let us know who he was, demonstrated his character through our phone conversation, and even provided advice. He was entirely understanding of us wanting to implement an old family tradition of, “Jumping the broom,” and was even curious and open to it. While I was nervous at the altar, he passed the time providing advice and used his own experiences to make the ceremony lighter, as I was becoming a bit of a nervous wreck before my bride arrived. (Thanks Gregg, I appreciate it man!) Finally, we come to our photographer. I would find it difficult to believe there is another individual who loves her job as much as Ashleigh does. She made us laugh, kept us comfortable, and took beautiful shots of us throughout our wedding, and during our first moments as husband and wife. She too was entirely vested in our experience and made us feel like the center of the universe on our big day. We had a blast and I definitely recommend her as a photographer not only professional ability but personality and character! If we had to choose again, whether I would choose to do an elopement with The Hytch, or go with a more traditional option, I’d choose The Hytch team in an instant. Not to mention this was a destination wedding with everything getting booked sight unseen so there was a lot more stress and factors. Gina assisted with our rehearsal as well as the day of coordination. My husband and I got married at Tahoe Blue Estate and their familiarity with the venue helped as well! The day went absolutely perfect thanks to Gina and her team! Once I got into hair and makeup in the morning I was completely hands off. Gina took care of all of the vendors coming in and out and all I had to do was get pretty and enjoy our special day as I anticipated. It was a stress free day which was amazing!! The decorations were BEAUTIFUL and exceeded my expectations. We can’t recommend the Hytch enough! We are so thankful for their amazing work!

t they had to offer! They had so many different and unique packages to pick from. We got married on 9/22/2024 at their venue site in Reno, NV. But it is worth mentioning that they also do smaller ceremonies in Tahoe in the woods or on the water too! It was a tough decision because everywhere they could do a ceremony was just beautiful. Gina helped from start to finish with the planning and was so flexible with us in regards to payment and all the crazy continuous questions I had. They set up AND took down the decorations I had brought my dream wedding to life! We even added their photo booth option which my guests loved! They helped with recommendations on literally everything! We’re not from the area so it was hard to know where to get certain things from (appetizers, photography, hair & make up). It came out way better than I could have imagined. The venue is a plant nursery so it’s lush and green and right on the Truckee River. Like you can sit and watch the water go by! The trees help to provide shade and just a natural beauty so you don’t even need that much decor. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t change a thing. A lot of my guests have already reach out to me to say how beautiful everything was. Our pups were able to be apart of our special day too! They have a house where the bridal party can get ready too! I would 100% recommend The Hytch if you’re planning your big day! The price was amazing for everything we got. So happy we had the intimate wedding that we did. Thank you Yeliz & Gina!

a venue happy to host a small wedding. At the suggestion of a friend, we contacted Sierra Water Gardens - and they welcomed us with open arms. The Hytch team has been amazing to work with throughout the entire process, and made things so easy for us along the way. The team made our vision a reality purely from one Pinterest board showing decor ideas and colors. Having the Hytch handle decorations removed a huge load off our shoulders, and everything looked amazing. They had great coordination throughout the planning process, rehearsal, and wedding itself. They worked with our vendors and received our deliveries (cake, dancefloor) on our behalf. During our wedding, the team was lovely and supportive. They kept us on schedule and made all of the “background elements” happen. As the bride and groom, we were able to just relax, experience, and enjoy our day without having to worry about making anything happen. We highly recommend this venue. The setting is gorgeous, the Hytch team pulled out all the stops to bring our vision to life, they made everything so easy on us, and were amazing to work with throughout.

We were looking for a small ceremony that felt personal and decided to transform our then ski trip vacation into a trip we’ll never forget. After much online research on “where/how to elope in Lake Tahoe”, The Hytch stood out to us because of the warmth shown in their photos, the beautiful details like the setting and the flowers and the variety of elopements which showed personalized details for each couple. Addie was always quick to respond and we clicked beautifully since our first call. She is so sweet, reassuring and helped us even with tips that went beyond their scope whenever we asked, like Hair & Makeup options, Breweries and Restaurants to consider. I was able to send her moodboards of what we envisioned for location/flowers/photo style which truly came to life on that special day. The flowers were beautiful. I even had a custom flower crown made by same team which I loved. The location was perfect, surrounded by nature and easy to get there. Addie and Ahleigh (the photographer) were awesome, so kind and with such good energy. The whole day was so special, I can’t help but smile remembering. changed a SINGLE thing about my wedding day- and that is saying A LOT when you put your wedding in someone else's hands. I was extremely stressed out trying to plan my own wedding. Then I came across The Hytch. I felt a sense of peace come over me when I started looking at their Instagram. I'm getting chills as I write this. We realized that we just wanted our closest friends and family together for a micro wedding. Yeliz was so kind and helpful and willing to do whatever we wanted. I changed days, times, places, packages that they offer, SEVERAL times. They never batted an eye! They never once made me feel like I was being indecisive (which is WAS) or that I was bothering them with all of my questions. I started looking more at their other Instagram page, which is "The Hytch At The Sierra Water Garden". Again, that feeling of peace came over me and I literally envisioned my whole wedding and I had not done that or had that feeling with any of the 10 other venues I had looked at! While waiting for my wedding, my only real responsibilities were to make my music playlist (they provided sound and a device to play the music from), and making a Pinterest Board. I had never been to the garden, I had never met any of these women, I have never been IN a wedding, so I really didn't know what to expect. You would never know that right in the middle of Reno this beautiful diamond in the ruff of a venue would be just tucked away against a river. When you are at the garden you forget where you are. This was important to me as a small country town girl, being in a city. For the third time, I had the sense of peace come over me and I knew I had picked the perfect place and the perfect option to get married through the Hytch. For the next 24 hours I had little to no stress leading up to the wedding. Once the wedding started, Addy (one of the Hytch girls) took over! She did not miss a beat. When I tell you that my day was perfect, I mean that whole heartedly and she was a HUGE reason why. She and the girl working with her were SO helpful. They followed me around helping with my dress, kept us on schedule with the sequence of events I was so nervous about, were so kind to everyone and just absolute ANGELS. They completely exceeded my expectations. The tables and decor were absolutely perfect. Addy was our officiant and she was perfect. We didn't have to worry about a THING. The photographer with the Hytch that we had the pleasure of having (Ashleigh) was equally as amazing. If I had the chance, I truly would not change a thing. If you are looking to elope, or have a wedding that is short and sweet, but still so special, this is the best thing you could do. With the stress of what our family was going through, I didn’t have time to plan a wedding. All the planning that I did was within weeks. Sadly, 18 days after getting diagnosed, I lost my future father in law. With respect to my future mother in law, I asked if we should still proceed with the wedding and she said absolutely! That’s when The Hytch came in. They were empathetic, compassionate and understanding. I arrived to the property 30 minutes before the ceremony. They had a bridal suite where you could get ready. The officiant, Darren, came to the bridal suite just to confirm the wedding vows and he was funny and sweet. He also asked in honor of my father in law, that a empty chair be placed next to my future mother in law during the ceremony. As a bride, I had to hold back my tears. I didn’t want to look like a raccoon during the ceremony. LOL I asked Ashleigh, the photographer, for her artistic touch. She was brilliantly amazing! What I do know is that I am only going to get married once and as a bride, it’s difficult to make everything perfect. The Hytch made my wedding dreams come true. They coordinated with a florist, Galena Forest Flowers, who created an absolutely stunning bouquet, flower crowns, boutineer and arch decorations. And our table for 17 was perfect with the settings. The venue alone is stunning, with many options for seating throughout, even down by the river. Our wedding fell on a very hot day, but there were many shaded options around the gardens. Through the Hytch we even we were connected with an absolutely phenomenal photographer, Kendall Town (Sirberry) whose stunning photos are attached! The entire process was smooth, worry free and largely hands off for us as the couple. The team is a joy and do this job so well. Don’t hesitate to work with them!

We really couldn’t ask for any better! They truly delivered and we are so glad we chose them! Thank you for making our day SO special. You guys are fantastic!!

We had hoped for snow but Mother Nature didn’t cooperate with that piece, I was super bummed to not get pics in the snow... but honestly the beach ceremony and photos on the dock have helped me to not feel sad about that at all! Addie was such a HUGE help in creating our day and making it so stress free that we got to enjoy the whole process. In my opinion elopements are SO underrated, it’s so intimate, and everyone at The Hytch was so helpful and so excited for us. They made our already exciting day, even more exciting. They help set up a location, they provided flowers of our liking, a WONDERFUL photographer, and filed all our paperwork as well. All we had to do was show up! I’ll 10/10 recommend The Hytch to anyone, even those who want a large wedding. Elopements are so intimate and so special and finding the The Hytch was like a dream!

looked up places. The Hytch was one of the first places that came up. Oh I'm so HAPPY we went with them. We did the Mirco Wedding with a half hour photographer this past weekend. Addie was our planner and officiant and she was great, Yeliz is a sweetheart, and our photographer Kendall was absolutely fantastic. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. We had the most PERFECT little wedding we could ever ask for. The picture Kendall took of our wedding turned out absolutely beautiful he captured us so well. It was the BEST DAY EVER!!
