Where do I begin when I try to describe my amazing wedding reception at The Inn at Villanova University. Jamie Ritter, the Inn’s wedding coordinator, listened to all my ideas and gave wonderful advice. Her input and incredible knowledge made my reception pure perfection. She was always very quick to answer any questions I had when planning my event with her. She provided a vendor list which was very helpful since I do not live in the area.
The reception food offerings tasting event was scheduled a few months before my wedding date and gave me valuable insight into what the Inn offers. It was so hard to decide because all the choices were excellent. Meeting the actual chefs was an added bonus.
My guests at the reception were very impressed with the service, the excellent food, the attention to detail and the stunning beauty of the Montrose Mansion at The Inn, the grounds surrounding it and the ballroom.
I was fortunate to have a beautiful day so having cocktail hour on the patio with the incredible view of the grounds was a wonderful way to begin the celebration. Signature cocktails for the bride and groom were a big hit with The Inn providing the signage for me.
Before the ceremony, I was provided the bridal suite in the mansion where my bridesmaids and I, along with my hair and makeup team, were allowed to relax and enjoy the special morning of getting ready.
Many of my guests, including my wedding party, stayed at The Inn and were very complimentary of the rooms and the service.
My new husband and I stayed at The Inn in an amazing suite on our wedding night. It was complimentary and many special surprises were provided for us. We were treated like royalty and were very grateful for the extra mile they went for us.
The Inn at Villanova University made my wedding dreams come true. I cannot thank them enough for making my day perfect and truly unforgettable.

My wife and I recently held our cocktail hour and wedding reception at The Inn at Villanova and were blown away! First off, we had our wedding ceremony at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, and the convenience of having our reception at The Inn just 5 minutes down the road cannot be understated. Additionally, comparing with other main-line venues, the bang for your buck at The Inn is quite impressive. Our cocktail hour was held at the Montrose Mansion, which was absolutely gorgeous and a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor space for our guests to transition between and mingle while overlooking the beautiful terraced greenery and fountained pond. Our reception was held in the main ballroom, which, while initially looking more like a conference room, transformed with impressively minimal decoration (bistro lights strung from the ceiling, up-lights on the columns) into the perfect space and environment to celebrate our marriage while dancing the night away. Moreover, we also could not understate the convenience of all our guests to be able to walk down the hallway to their rooms at the end of the night. The staff at The Inn were incredible throughout the process. Our wedding coordinator Jamie had a wealth of experience, communicating early and often to make sure we were staying on track for our deadlines. As a couple who were planning the wedding ourselves, Jamie essentially filled the role of a wedding planner both leading up to and on the day of the wedding, taking a huge amount of work and stress off our shoulders. My wife and I also have nothing but good things to say about chef Adam and the food he and his team prepared for us; our guests raved about the food all night long, especially the vegetarian/gluten free options. If you are having a Main-Line wedding, especially if you're getting married at St. Thomas, we urge you to strongly consider The Inn at Villanova for your special day. We could not have imagined a more comprehensive and amazing place to have celebrated the start to our new life together!

Can not say enough great things about this venue!!! First of all, the staff is so welcoming and warm. They truly went above and beyond to make our day perfect. They were so responsive and helpful during our planning process. The mansion is so unique and beautiful. The ballroom has beautiful floor to ceiling windows which look out to the beautiful grounds.
Every room for our guests was perfect, with access to outside from your hotel room. The grounds were so beautiful. A lot of our guests walked around and enjoyed the scenery. We also had our pictures done on the grounds, which was perfect because we did not have to make an extra photo stop.
My husband and I , along with our families, can not say enough positive things about this venue!! Best wedding ever.

Have your wedding at the Inn at Villanova!!! They gave us our dream wedding! Everything was absolutely perfect! Kristin, our coordinator was incredible from the first time we met her. She answered all of my questions and emails quickly and made everything happen for us! The combination of the hotel, mansion, and ballroom made for a gorgeous wedding in a beautiful place, with the ease of accommodations just steps from our reception. The mansion was gorgeous for cocktail hour and had many different spaces so people could wander and mingle as they liked. The ballroom was decorated beautifully and did not feel too crowded or too empty with our 90 guests. The food was incredible, all of our guests commented on how delicious everything was! We had an after party back in the mansion which was fun and delicious and then brunch in the mansion the next morning, which was again, delicious. Brian and Sarah from the food and beverage team were kind, professional, and excellent. They made sure everything ran smoothly and was perfect! The staff was lovely and so helpful and kind. The service, food, and atmosphere were all incredible. It was the most perfect wedding and we are forever grateful to the Inn! Thank you!!!

LOVED THIS VENUE. Ashley was incredible to work with, adjusted every detail from crazy emails I would send, and never missed a beat. It was such a pleasure working with their team. Staff was courteous and the site is absolutely breathtaking. Book brunch for the next morning on the ground floor and your guests will have yet another glimpse at the outstanding grounds.

This option in the Chester County area was 50% less than other similar options and it blew us away. The food was beautiful and SO DELICIOUS. The alcohol was amazing. The indoor/outdoor availability for the event was great so I wasn't nervous for rain at all. Dan, the manager there was amazingly helpful. He helped our family pull of a major last minute surprise to my husband and I, which they asked him to do the week of the wedding. He was beyond helpful- he was so calm and unassuming. The location is a MANSION so its GORGEOUS. I am so thankful to have found this place. I would SO SO recommend.

While it may be hard to believe, I live right down the street from this venue and didn't even realize it was there! Not only did I drag my now husband to 12 other locations before seeing/choosing this one, I had passed it on a daily basis! Needless to say, I am so glad we found it because it had everything we were looking for. The food was amazing, Montrose Mansion is so unique (our guests absolutely loved having cocktail hour there), the dining room was nice, but most of all the hotel is connected to the venue. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't be sorry!!!!

The Villanova Conference Center is quite a hidden gem! I never would have thought to look there, but did at my now husband's suggestion. I loved the site for three reasons. First, the mansion setting. So many wedding receptions are held in country clubs, and they all tend to blend together. I thought this unique space would help mine stand out. Second, the grounds are GORGEOUS!!! And they have a nice patio with a bar that was perfect for my June wedding. And third, I could go before the ceremony to get ready and take photos. A great perk, since the whole place is absolutely beautiful. Luckily, the food was also delicious, and there was so much of it. I had the mini cheesesteak bar, which was a huge hit with the guests. And everyone was very helpful and easy to work with. Last but not least, at the end of the night it was so convenient to have the hotel right there onsite.

I cannot say enough good things about the team at VCC - they were an absolute dream. Since I live in NYC, throughout the wedding planning process I had to stay at the hotel several times and the staff truly became like family. Emily Emerson took care of our every need, was so patient despite constant questions and emails from my mom and me, and on the day of made sure everything ran smoothly. Also I'd like to recognize Lisa, who gave us an initial tour of VCC without an appointment, tended to us during our tasting and on the day of the wedding. She was so sweet and accommodating - ran to get any little thing we needed (Pepto, static spray...), and ensured we were eating, drinking and having fun. Additionally the beverage manager Don and all of the bartenders (including Mel), were fantastic.
In addition to the wonderful staff, the grounds and mansion are beautiful. Also, every guest commented how delicious the food was. Chef Paul created a duet entree that was not on the menu for us, and we loved it.
I'm sure there are a thousand things, big and small, I could highlight to show why VCC was the best possible place to have our wedding. But simply put, I don't believe you could be disappointed planning your big day with the VCC team.

My fiancé(now husband) and I fell in love with the Villanova Conference Center. It had so much to offer…an
adorable mansion for the cocktail hour, dining room with windows that overlook the gardens, hotel attached, after-hour party and we opted to have Sunday brunch. It was everything we wanted in one place. We had many out-of-town guests so it was the perfect venue for us. Halfway through the wedding planning, there was a change in staff but Emily and Erin did a great job fulfilling all of my original requests. It was also wonderful having Emily there on the wedding night to make sure everything went smoothly. The food was fantastic, I know because I tried it all! (Although I have to add we didn't get our cake from the vendor that came with the package.) The conference center staff is like a family and they all work together and truly care to make your day special. Our wedding day was perfect, our venue was perfect and I wish I could relive the day! Thank you Emily and everyone else at the conference center for making or wedding day so spectacular! P.S. They recently renovated the hotel rooms and bathrooms and they're really nice!

Tim Sweeney and all of the staff at the Villanova Conference Center were beyond helpful throughout our entire wedding weekend. We used all of the rooms at the hotel for our wedding guests and hosted our reception there. The planning process was efficient and stress free, and the execution was perfect. We could not have asked for a better location - the grounds are beautiful, the mansion is charming, and it was so great that guests of our wedding were the only guests in the hotel. The food was also fantastic. They were preparing food for 200, but everything from the appetizer and salad to the duo entree tasted like each plate was prepared individually and with great care. We really appreciated the an option for duo entree - which is markedly better than asking guests to choose their entree when RSVPing. We went with the short ribs and halibut and it was outstanding.
The whole evening, as well as brunch on Sunday morning, ran flawlessly -- there were never lines at the bars during the reception and Tim kept everything going smoothly and on time. By the end of our reception the only thing missing was more time to keep the party going. Five months after our August wedding, we’re still getting compliments on the food and setting.
A million thanks to Tim and all of the kind staff at Villanova Conference Center,
Anne & Peter - Washington, DC

Disappointed because there is a gorgeous outside that you are unable to use for a ceremony (the site has you go for a 5 minute drive to a site for an outside ceremony)---therefore decided not to use it.

Tim Sweeney was my contact for the wedding reception at the Conference Center--when we first met, Tim took us on a tour of the mansion, and showed us the packages available--he answered tons of questions we had, and based on what we saw and how we felt at the mansion, we booked with him that day. I'm glad we did! We booked in August of 2009, for a wedding in October 2010--I found out that once I put down my deposit 2 weeks later that other brides had asked about our date--the site books quickly, and I can understand why-it's perfect!
Along the timeline up to our day, I sent Tim tons of emails with questions about little details, and adjustments that we'd have to make...not only did he get this stuff from me, but also from my mom checking up on things as well. He responded either the same day, or the next in a timely fashion-especially considering just how busy they are there!
Tim was a great organizer for our wedding--he was fun to work with (we were cracking up every time we met!), knowledgable, and made us feel that things would be taken care of--even things we had no idea we'd be doing until the day of--he took care of it without us having to worry if it would be right or not.
The tasting was wonderful--we got to eat in the large dining room (6 of us), and he went over all the flatware, linen, and cuisine options we could choose from.
Our wedding day was fabulous! Tim recommended a few vendors to us that we did use, and he set up all the decorations we had to use for the venue (mind you, it was an Adirondack mountain theme, so we had trail signs, mason jars, all sorts of silly decorations) in perfect order. During the wedding, we didn't see him too much except for major things--like checking the buffet food before it was served, and for the cake cutting. We had so many compliments on the venue, their service, how friendly, polite and professional the entire waitstaff was--people were blown away! And the price? considering we had lots of people who like to drink--open bar the whole time with an after party downstairs, great food, and a great cocktail hour--we thought the price was less that what it would have been if we handled all that by ourselves seperately. The price included alcohol, linens/flatware, our cake, food, and a few extras :).
We'd like to thank the conference center, Tim, and Lisa for making our day ROCK!

the food was quite good and the grounds were very pretty.;The maitre'd who was supposed to work with me over the months be there for me the entire day greet my guests and run the show was a horror. He arrived late in the afternoon never set up my bridal suite (and no one else seemed to have a clue) disappeared for 99% of the evening never greeted my guests sat my father in the wrong spot never came to get me to come down to the wedding didn't help with pictures or toasts or anything he was supposed to do ordered the wrong linens was basically unavailable to me and was obnoxious. So much so I got some money back from the facility. There are better places to have your wedding believe me. If I hadn't asked for my wedding to be on the patio my dance floor would have been in a different room from where we ate. I should have looked further in the beginning but the venue we had wasn't working out and it was a little last minute. I would not recommend this venue.
