It's honestly difficult to even start listing all the reasons I am so extremely thrilled that I booked this venue. But first we'll start with Meredith, the event coordinator. She is fabulous! Every piece of the entire process was smooth and easy due to her. She was on top of what I needed to do and by when, and always available for a call when needed. AND when a tropical storm hit very suddenly the weekend of our wedding, she handled everything amazingly. She kept in contact with vendors and was quick to develop plan A, B, and C with us. While of course I was stressed due to weather, I can't IMAGINE how much more stressed I would have been without her. Our day would not have gone so well if it were not for her. In addition, the staff in general... Every single person that we interacted with was just amazing. They work so hard to make it feel homey and make you feel so welcomed. All my guests were commenting on it. Lastly the facilities, food, etc. The food choices available for rehearsal dinner and wedding were amazing, and the breakfast included with your stay is hands down the best breakfast of any hotel I've been to. The inn is stunning, the view of the water, the greenery, the homey feel of the rooms. We ended up having to take down the tent over the deck for the reception due to the weather, and had the ceremony on the deck rather than the lawn by the water as it was a bit flooded and the reception was done on their permanent covered deck, but even with the adaptations it still ended up being beautiful. And a big reason I had picked the Inn over other OBX locations was because of the backup options available as weather can go south quick. Another plus is the decor they have available. While I did buy/rent some, I really didn't have to get much as they have so much available, and all I had to do was list out what I wanted (for a small extra charge that is so so worth it). This is already a long review, but I could honestly keep going forever singing their praises. Thank you to everyone at the Inn, yall are the best!

We found the Inn on Pamlico Sound and quickly decided they had everything we wanted for our wedding and would make our semi-destination small wedding (15 people) planning seamless. Meredith, the bar and event manager, was exceptional to work with. She was easy to communicate with and helped us through every step (and we had many questions). We had to move our wedding a day early because of an impending hurricane. Meredith provided lots of solutions to the inclement weather and helped us coordinate the other vendors. Even calling some vendors herself! She helped everything stay calm, cool, and collected on the wedding day. The venue was perfect and has beautiful sunsets even on cloudy days. It is great for small and medium sized weddings. The food was also exceptional. The Boursin cheese mashed potatoes are to die for. You really could not ask for a more beautiful or easy place to work with on Hatteras Island then The Inn on Pamlico Sound.

We booked the Inn on Pamlico Sound for their wedding weekend package and had a great experience! Our wedding planner helped us every step of the way with planning, tracking our costs, and got all the details taken care of for us exactly as requested. The planner also ensured everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. Our only critique is that getting the rooms booked at the inn for our guests using their system was somewhat inefficient and lead to difficulties and confusion, however they ensured everything got worked out in the end to our satisfaction. The restaurant offered a totally personalized menu selection and catered the best food we have ever had at any wedding and several guests went out of their way to tell us this as well. Views from the venue were beautiful, especially at sunset and made for great pictures. We absolutely recommend this venue to anyone considering an Outer Banks wedding!

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at the Inn on Pamlico Sound. Everything was wonderful. Meredith the wedding coordinator was so helpful in helping us plan everything beforehand and was very accommodating with all our requests and questions. She also made sure everything went smoothly the day of the wedding and that we had a wonderful time. The food and drinks were absolutely incredible. The staff were all friendly and attentive to us and all our guests. The venue is also just incredibly beautiful, the views are beyond compare. Overall we had an absolutely unforgettable day and we would recommend the inn to anyone.

Everything was absolutely amazing - the venue was beautiful, the food was outstanding, the drinks were on point, service was outstanding, and the team at the Inn made the day unforgettable. Huge shoutout to Meredith, the wedding coordinator, and her team for making everything go smoothly and nailing all of the small details. Meredith was unbelievably helpful throughout the planning process. The restaurant staff provided top-notch service during dinner and took great care of our guests in addition to the outstanding food served. Amazing! A wonderful experience from start to finish. Melissa and Meredith were easy to get in touch with and had a plan for every thing that came up even at the last minute, from the passing of family members to the change in numbers at the last minute. These ladies handled everything with grace and sensitivity keeping the ball rolling and making everything perfect! Our recent wedding at The Inn on Pamlico Sound was quite simply— heaven. Absolute magic from start to finish and the entire process from planning to execution was handled masterfully by this incredible staff. As a couple, we are considered by many close to us to be “dreamers” but this experience was well above and beyond anything that even we had imagined. Our families and friends continue to rave about the beauty of the venue, the landscape, the kindness and thoroughness of the staff, the supreme quality of the food and the overall unique nature of such a truly memorable weekend. Just some of the things our family and friends have said: “I have never seen a wedding like that before!” “That was the best wedding food ever!” “I can’t believe you had such great weather in Nov!” This phenomenal team they have assembled feels like a family in the way they ebb and flow together and have each other’s backs— all with the singular focus of making a memorable, magical day come to life for their guests. We gave this great team numerous challenges and they rose to the occasion time and time again. First, we had only about 4.5 months from when we selected the venue to the big day. Our wedding was in late Nov (the weekend before Thanksgiving) and we wanted to do it outside right along the water, so we need contingency plans in case of weather (though the weather ended up being gorgeous!) We wanted a mic’d ceremony so everyone could hear, 2 separate live musicians, as well as a DJ for the reception. We used a combination of local and remote vendors who all needed to collaborate closely to ensure everything went off without a hitch. Everything came together perfectly and we could not have asked for more. Each of these team members is a consummate professional who remained poised, calm and confident… even in face of a rather short turnaround wedding such as ours: -Meredith was detailed, precise, kind and a calming presence who inspired confidence every step along the way. -Melissa was incredibly welcoming and patient in helping us accommodate guests coming everywhere from San Francisco, to Salt Lake, to Madrid, to Baltimore… -Dallas was not only a culinary artist, but one of the friendliest, most helpful people you could ever hope to meet. -And Steve, Natasha and the entire team ensured that IOPS lived up to the promise top to bottom. And then some. - We also selected several of their preferred vendors, all of whom knit perfectly right into the fabric of this well orchestrated weekend. We booked the “wedding weekend” package in order to reserve the entire Inn for our guests, a tremendous value that enabled us to also hire amazing photographers & videographers to help capture the entire wedding day. We could not recommend this venue more. An absolute gem. If you are “considering” The Inn on Pamlico Sound for your wedding, I invite you to ask them for my direct number and I will not let you off the phone until you are convinced this is the only place for you! :-) Literally if a unicorn had flown across the sky behind us during the ceremony I don’t think it would have been any more magical than what transpired. The wedding packages offered at the Inn are simply the best. You won’t find anywhere else that takes care of your ceremony, reception, and allows your guests to walk upstairs at the end of the night to stay on property. Our day was intimate, beautiful and our guests haven’t stopped raving about the entire experience. The food, the view and the friendly staff at the Inn are unparalleled. Book your wedding with them. You won’t regret it.

My husband and I got married here 10/9/22. Meredith, our coordinator, was absolutely amazing. She was so helpful every time we spoke, and she made sure everything went smoothly during the wedding. I'll be forever thankful to her for making our special day so perfect. They took care of set up and tear down, included tablecloths, napkins, and dinnerware, and if you have a small enough wedding, you have the option of having personalized menus made and guests can order their meals the day of instead pre-ordering. They also set up a "book nook" for the kids which I didn't even know they were going to do till I walked down and saw it. It was seriously so perfect because we had a book themed wedding. They 100% went above and beyond anything I ever could've expected, and, for a wedding, it was downright cheap. I also stayed here December 2021. The room was great, very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is included and just amazing (there is a $5 charge per meal but it is graditutity for the server). One day, I got a Lox bagel and the other I got chicken and waffle. Seriously to die for. There's also a little theater with tons of movies you can watch for free and free outdoors equipment to borrow (kayaks, bikes, etc). I've also had dinner here October 2021with my now husband. Everything we've eaten here has been so good. I think it was around $100, maybe a little more, for both of us and we got an appetizer, lamb and duck, and dessert. Overall, this is one of my favorite places in OBX. Amazing staff, amazing food, fantastic scenery, and great prices. I highly recommend!

This venue and staff were absolutely incredible. We had planned to have a sunset ceremony out on sunset point. The storm rolled in and we had to move everything indoors. The weather did not do what I needed or expected (typical Hatteras) but they blew my expectations out of the water regardless. Everyone was so dedicated and friendly. We are from PA, planning this event from about 500 miles away seemed intense, our coordinator Meredith went above and beyond and I had absolutely no worries about anything. This included decorations, seating, all the way down to who needed to be where at what time. There was continuous communication for months leading up to the event. They made me feel like the most special human on earth during the event. The food was indescribable. I sampled a taste of everyone’s entree and I could not pick my favorite, it is easiest the best food I have ever tasted. There is not enough good things I can say about the Inn and the people here. I would have an event here time and time again with no hesitation or worry. They also provided me with their outside vendor list and every single person that I met and worked with on the list also exceeded expectations! A huge thank you to the owner and all of the amazing people at the Inn!

Our wedding experience with The Inn on Pamlico Sound truly could not have been more incredible. It is a lovely venue and the thought put into every aspect of our big day by the staff was more than we could have asked for. The staff are more accommodating than any you will be able to find elsewhere. Even last second requests were met with an easy-going attitude and all around positivity. It’s easy to tell how much every staff member cares about making your experience one to remember. My wife and I were due to be married at the inn in September of 2019. Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas, as Hurricane Dorian swept through the islands on our wedding day. Despite needing to make their own preparations for a major storm, Steve and the rest of the Inn’s team made us feel comfortable, reassured us we would have the wedding we wanted, and immediately got to work to find us an open date the following spring. It’s hard to understate how accommodating everyone was during what was a hard time for us emotionally, especially in the face of a major storm that was threatening their livelihoods. Unfortunately, the following year held more difficulties in store, as the pandemic had begun and it would ultimately be unsafe to have our wedding on our rescheduled date. Despite having already given us so much leeway in rescheduling our wedding, they were so dedicated to us having our day that they once again helped us find a day the following year in hopes that it would be safer. Unfortunately, that day also came and went with Covid still being a major concern, but the inn never gave it a second thought, once again finding us a perfect day the following year. Fast forward to 2022, and the months leading to our wedding could not have gone more smoothly. Meredith and the event team helped us through some stressful points in our planning, taking the reins when we’d become indecisive, and offering us ideas for the ceremony we’d not yet thought of. Through the entire process, she made everything digestible even when we’d procrastinated, and made sure at no point we felt overwhelmed. Melissa, the hotel manager, was patient and accommodating with us through all our various changes in room assignments, of which there were many because my wife and I are both horrifically disorganized on our best day. She somehow managed to navigate our chaos without any difficulty, which is a feat in and of itself. The weekend of our wedding was everything we wanted it to be in every single way. Our guests (not to mention the two of us) were extremely impressed by the gorgeous rooms, the amazing food, and the incredibly kind and welcoming staff. Melissa was once again amazing in fielding everything our guests could have needed. Meredith made sure that once it came time for us to have our wedding, our entire experience was stress free (as much as a wedding can be) and we could focus on just enjoying one another and our loved ones. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was second to none, and the staff was some of the most warm people we’ve ever encountered. The inn went above and beyond for us in every way possible, and worked hard for us across years of planning and rescheduling to make sure we had amazing memories of our wonderful day. My husband and I just had our wedding here, the venu is amazing! Outstanding staff all around! Our wedding planner Meredith made the entire process so easy and stress free. Meredith was on top of every detail and made our special day perfect! Could not have asked for better communication through the planning, all details are explained up front for no confusion. Every detail about our night was amazing, the beautiful venu, food was outstanding, and all staff went above and beyond! Highly recommend for weddings and for your stay at the inn!

We had our wedding celebration at the Inn on Pamlico Sound and were able to reserve the full inn for the weekend. They were very accommodating to our crew! We adore the gardens on site, the views of the sunrises and sunsets, the ability to walk out the room and jump onto a paddleboard, the top notch brunch, the pool with a view, and comfortable rooms. It's a convenient location close to our favorite OBX attractions. We'll be back again and again! Cafe Pamlico guided us through every step of the way with example menus, willingness to incorporate our asks, and finding vendors to fulfill our unique dessert and drink requests. The food was great and as we rented out the full Inn for the wedding weekend, we were able to keep our leftovers from the welcome party and drinks in the community fridges and have them throughout the weekend. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how great the food was, including the brunch! As self-proclaimed foodies, we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. When we visit OBX we look forward to continuing to dine at Cafe Pamlico and enjoy the top notch food, often sourced locally, and the incredible view.

My husband and I just had our wedding here, and it was absolutely amazing! The inn is beautiful and private tucked away right on the sound, the staff is friendly and so helpful, and the food is just delicious. Meredith made planning the wedding so easy, it all came together so well and even when I forgot things they made it work and it was a wonderful wedding! They also give constant updates to your invoice so you know exactly what to expect financially when all is said and done. I can't say enough good things about them, we will definitely be returning in the future.

The Inn on Pamlico Sound and Cafe Pamlico are hidden gems. We celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary and Vow Renewal Ceremony here. From the very first contact to the very last minute of our stay, we felt pampered and attended to. The venue is perfect and you couldn't ask for a better location. The rooms were clean, bright and well appointed. We would highly recommend the Cafe Pamlico. A full breakfast is included in your stay. Usually, a breakfast is just mediocre at best but not here. It was excellent. We also had dinner as a group and then after our vow renewal. The quality and service was outstanding. I've never had a better meal in my 40 plus years of visiting the Outer Banks. The weather changed and we requested to move our ceremony to a different location on the property and it was absolutely no problem. Our event coordinator, Meredith Harris was unbelievable. From the planning to the day of, our every need was met and no detail was too small. The vendor recommendations were excellent as well. All of the staff from front desk to housekeeping are phenomenal. Steve Nelson, the owner and his staff have perfected the art of Customer Service. The change in weather was not in their control but I guarantee if they could have changed it, they would. Yes, that's how good they are. Do not hesitate to book your wedding or event at The Inn. You will not be disappointed.

Wow where do I begin?!? This place truly is the one-stop, all-inclusive, phenomenal family, friendly, get-away!!! My husband and I got married in 2021 via court marriage due to COVID; but we knew we wanted to celebrate with friends and family. After extensive research, we found IOPS and were in awe by the reviews on their website and the Weekend Wedding Package they provided. This package is 100% a stress free way to celebrate a wedding with your friends and family, for an entire weekend! From the beginning, Steve (the owner) was thorough in all of his information, and my Event Planner Meredith was communicative and involved in every fashion. Steve was up front with the costs, what all was included, and you could truly tell how much the Inn really meant to him and his team. Steve's team, to name a few, Melissa, Tasha, Hunter, Alicia, Craig, Dallas, Andy, another Melissa, and most of all, Meredith, were ABOVE AND BEYOND when it came to accommodating all of our needs! Melissa and Alicia took care of all of the room bookings, the itineraries, payments, and even handled all last minute room changes at ease. Hunter, Tasha, Craig, and Dallas by far exceeded all expectations when it came to the food, cleaning, supplies, bar, and all other Inn needs for my family and I. And I cannot forget to mention their on sight Café has THE BEST food for breakfast and dinner. Our wedding meal received countless adulations about the Hereford Filet and Seafood Trio. Also, The Inn not only celebrated our wedding with us, but ALSO our sons Baptism! When I tell you they 100% accommodated us, I mean they bent over backwards and answered every need I had regardless of whether I gave them 10 days notice, or 10 minutes notice! We even had to move things around last minute due to weather, and AGAIN, the team moved swiftly and at ease and made the entire weekend one for the books! I cannot thank the team ENOUGH for making our weekend THE MOST spectacular weekend ever! If I could do it all over again, I would do it exactly the same and play it on repeat about 8 times because it was that amazing! I highly recommend IOPS for all destination weddings and Erik and I will return as soon as possible! Thank you IOPS team! We love and adore you and thank you again for an unforgettable weekend! <3

The IOPS made our wedding day a literal dream! The location, staff, and food was perfect and the event planner, Meredith, is a gem of a human being. Cannot recommend this place enough! We are so lucky to have had our wedding here!

We had our weekend wedding there on April 17,2021 and it was the best weekend ever… from the place to the staff and food it was excellent! Everyone had a blast! Would highly recommend this venue!

It’s been 1 month since we got married at the Inn on Pamlico Sound (can’t believe it’s already been that long), there is so much to say but I’m not sure I could fully express my gratitude to Steve, Melissa, and all the wonderful staff at the Inn who made our wedding weekend so special. We were originally supposed to tie the knot in 2020 but thanks to COVID we decided to postpone to 2021, Steve and Melissa made the process of rescheduling very easy. It is hard to put it all into words but the process from start to finish was easier than I could have imagined, from the time I stepped foot on the property I knew it was where I wanted to get married and after sitting down at breakfast with Steve to discuss details I was sold. From the very beginning the process of how to get everything setup for our wedding was very clear, they have a great template to work off of to keep track of everything from rehearsal dinner to budget. Working Melissa the whole time was great and even better over the course of the weekend, she accommodated all of our requests and even listened to a lot of our complaints and for that I can’t thank her enough. When we arrived for the weekend we had to do very minimal work to get ready for the event, basically just went over a few small details with Melissa and the staff at the Inn took care of the rest. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out everything went as smooth as I could have imagined, dinners for both the rehearsal and the reception were fantastic (which you would expect after trying the restaurant). Our ceremony and everything in between went off without a hitch, Melissa made sure to keep us on track and to get the guests to where they needed to be. I don’t know what more I can say, everything went perfect and I often find myself day dreaming of sitting by the fire in one of those Adirondack chairs on the beach taking in the amazing sunset while listening to the water. If you are considering getting married at the Inn I would highly recommend the wedding weekend, I don’t think there is another scenario in my head I could come up with that would have been better especially for the price! Everything you could ever want for a destination wedding is literally in one place and to make it even better the ocean and all the beauty of the Outer Banks is right down the street. I can’t say thank you enough to Steve, Melissa, and the rest of the staff at the Inn and I would also like to give a special shout out to Dallas…what a pleasure it was to have him around during our weekend, he went out of his way to introduce himself while coming in for one of his shifts and he was always there smiling, asking how we were doing, and if there was anything else he could do.

BEST venue to have a wedding weekend. From the rooms, the food, decorations, and even the staff, they flawlessly coordinated the most perfect weekend for us. Our event coordinator, Melissa, made everything stress free and she was so attentive to us. She even provided continuous cold towels for my husband at the reception when he got hot from dancing. I can't speak more highly of the Inn at Pamlico Sound and its event planner, Melissa. Her responsiveness, flexibilty, attention to detail and knowledge about all aspects of the wedding planning process took a lot of the stress out of the planning process. And the reception was spectacular! The Inn worked seamlessly with our other vendors (cake, florist, photographer, tent rental, DJ) and the food from the Inn's kitchen was outstanding. Our guests were charmed by the location and enchanted by the views over the sound. The vibe was relaxed, rustic, elegant and fun, with lots of personal touches -- just what the bride and groom were hoping for. Melissa, the owner, and all the staff made our daughter's special day truly magical.

We had planned a fairly last minute, 'micro wedding' - we knew we wanted the Inn because we'd had dinner there and saw how beautiful the setting was at sunset. While we didn't get lucky enough with the weather to have a stunning sunset, the evening was beautiful. It was our luck to have a choice of location (indoors or out) and nice enough to have the deck for our table. Meredith and the staff really went above and beyond that evening, right down to bringing us sparklers and struggling to light a bonfire! The cocktails and food were excellent. I'd say that generally, the team was also responsive, but I think you have to be aware that the outer banks are just more chill - sometimes, responses take longer (not just the inn but vendors generally). But I realized that I just had to trust that it would all come together, and it did - beautifully. I look forward to celebrating future anniversaries there - maybe even with sunsets.

This is the place to get married on the island. And if you're not getting married... you should visit here anyway! The view, the food, and the impeccable service are just of the few reasons we recommend Inn on Pamlico Sound. We were married here June 2020 and couldn't have had a better experience for our small intimate ceremony/dinner. See you again Inn on Pamlico!

We really enjoyed our wedding at the Pamlico Inn. The customer service, flexibility, and overall quality was great. The coordinator Meredith was responsive with everything. The rehearsal dinner at the wedding was great we had a taco theme. The wedding itself ran pretty smoothly and they were proactive with moving things around since there was some rain. The employees made my guests feel attended to. The food was delicious we had crab cakes and steak. I would recommend this venue to anyone. We will be visiting yearly and really appreciate everyone there!

I am still coming down off the high of such a surreal and beautiful day! Our wedding day was perfect. We ate at the Inn once, almost a year to the day before our wedding day. One dinner and the combination of ambiance, perfect food, and sweet service from Jenn told us this is where we should be married. We have to share this with our family on our wedding day! The planning process was smooth with the No Stress package and Gina’s passion for bringing your vision to life. She is bubbly and energetic, and thinks of all the things you would never think of. She gets everything lined up so you simply get dressed and enjoy your day! But if you are like me and want to butt in at times, she is cool with that, too! The preferred vendors are preferred because they deliver. I sent pictures of floral and cake and they made it happen. The officiant, Meredith Foust was phenomenal and I’m swooning over the photos Daniel Pullen photography took. Kate captured us so perfectly. We love the option of the Inn’s menu for our guests because we wanted them to experience the cuisine as they chose. Zack was the perfect waiter for our crew. He was personable and funny and we hope to see him when we come back for our first anniversary! Sunset point is breathtaking. It was a windy overcast day but cleared up just enough for the perfect ceremony. Dreamy! IOPS strives to make your wedding and your stay perfect and a bonus is that you get to meet and befriend some really amazing people in the process. We are guests for life! See you next year!

My husband to be and I visited IOPS during the summer of 2018, shortly after we were engaged. We immediately fell in love with the beauty of their property and decided to plan our wedding around their venue. Our "perfect wedding" was an intimate affair to celebrate with our closest friends and family over an extended weekend getaway and this place checked all the boxes. It was also very important to me that I didn't have to plan every detail, as I am not a planner. Gina worked with us to understand our vision and fill in the details. We worked out a reasonable payment plan to purchase turn-key packages for all the rooms at the inn for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend of 2019 (if you don't know what the turn-key package is, you should look into it for your next stay!). Our guests arrived Friday afternoon and we were married at Sunset Point on Sunday morning. Everything in between was taken care of and we had an amazing, memorable and relaxed weekend and couldn't have asked for more! I believe in an honest review and that means sharing the good and the bad. In this case, there were only a few issues. On one of the evenings, dinner service was really slow and two of the guests did not receive their meal until everyone had almost finished eating. Also, the first night the server didn't fully understand how the turn key package worked and made each room share a single bowl of soup or single salad as an appetizer. That was corrected next two evenings. We also had was some confusion about a payment that had inadvertently been applied incorrectly creating confusion about the final balance owed. However, Gina and Steve worked to clear up the matter quickly and all was resolved amicably. All things considered, my husband and I couldn't have been happier. Maybe it is newlywed bliss, but we love IOPS and can't wait to return for our first anniversary! I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding, family reunion or other gathering that is looking for a relaxed atmosphere and flexible venue.

We would like to praise and recommend the Inn on Pamlico Sound & Cafe Pamlico for their food and catering services! They were fantastic in support of our daughter's wedding in Buxton on Thursday, August 15, 2019! Steve Nelson and company at the Inn/Cafe were really great! This was a destination wedding with the reception held at a private home in Buxton. (So, of course, arranging from a distance creates a bit of anxiety,.. and otherwise having to provide day care for my 88year old mom throughout,.. family/guest arrivals,.. the celebration events, weather etc etc). No need to worry though -- we were in good hands,.. everything was wonderful!! Steve introduced his event manager, Gina Williams. Gina and I connected several times to address all bride/groom interests. Gina and Seth, the chef, were very supportive and most accommodating in creating a desired menu that suited our headcount and budget. Gina assured the morning of the celebration that all was ready as planned,.. and it was! (They were nice enough to deliver and set up tables and chairs we had ordered, the night before to avoid wedding day conflict.) Food and plates and serving dishes were all in place as guests arrived. The celebration proceeded accordingly! The guests raved about the food throughout the festivities! The servers, Zach and Amber, made sure all entrees were fresh and available the entire time. There were ample servings of all and actually a lot of leftovers, which Zach and Amber prepared for overnight storage etc. Nothing but praise for the food and the services throughout the evening -- everything was great! Our compliments to the chef! Gina and team then followed-up the next day (as had been pre-arranged) to remove the tables and chairs, etc. All was wrapped up neatly and in timely fashion. I continued to receive complements regarding the food and service arrangements throughout the week. All was very positive. I applaud all! Steve and his team at The Inn on Pamlico Sound & Cafe Pamlico were excellent - thorough, friendly and professional!. As I explained to Gina, this was my first time as a "Father of the Bride" or securing a catering service for anything. They made it simple and wonderful (regardless setting it up from long-distance ),.. All nice and neat. Best wishes to Steve and all at the Inn and Cafe,.. continued success! The Inn on Pamlico Sound is a wonderful place to have a wedding and reception! Gina and the Inn on Pamlico Sound team were GREAT to work with and made our day stress free and amazing!! The Inn was beautiful and our food and drinks were amazing. Absolutely recommended!!!

I cannot state highly enough my opinion of your staff, services and food! Everything was seamless and very easy for me to enjoy my evening without worrying about any of the food/beverage. Your staff’s accommodation of the “special” meals went above and beyond, Two guests had to leave during meal time to put their babies to bed and the staff kept their plates for them and warmed them when they arrived back to eat them! The food was delicious - everyone raved about the seafood boil. For some it was their first taste, others had had it before but thought yours was one of the best they’d tasted! Meredith was a fabulous bartender, very friendly and kept the drinks moving quickly. And Gina was amazing! She made the whole night go so smoothly! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for wedding coordinating/day of services!! My other kids are already talking about having their weddings at Croatan Ridge (not for quite some time, mind you!) and we will definitely use you for catering again!

I will remember out wedding for the rest of my life. The food that Seth cooked and served to our guests was fantastic, Gina is an incredible coordinator, Steve made us feel at home, but most of all- we shared one of our favorite places with all of our favorite people. Seriously consider booking out the entire Inn with your wedding party like we did for your wedding- you will not regret having all of your best people in one place with all the amenities at the Inn for your entertainment! I cannot say enough great things about my wedding day at the Inn, but I will say that it was the best decision.

The IOPS was one of the best decisions we have ever made in our life to have our wedding (ceremony and reception). The staff are incredibly knowledgeable on the ins and outs of weddings. I knew that my day was going to go down without a hitch... and it did! Our day was PERFECT and it could not have been that way without them! We love IOPS!!!

The Inn on Pamlico Sound was an amazing wedding venue! My now husband and I were looking for a place that would accommodate our quaint wedding ceremony and reception of 15 people total. The IOPS was definitely the place! From start to finish, our wedding coordinator Gina walked us through every step of the process and made our dream a reality for us. Gina even provided all the vendors for our wedding, so we didn’t have to do the extra work. The owner Steve was so friendly and wonderful along with Melissa our server, and Seth the executive chef. The food was phenomenal, the views and rooms were breathtaking, and the staff went above and beyond with EVERYTHING. I highly recommend this venue if you want a unique and extremely special wedding! Quaint. Beautiful. Friendly. Accommodating. Perfect! We could not have been more pleased with every aspect of our wedding at The Inn on Pamlico Sound. The prices were reasonable, the entire staff was as overly friendly and helpful and accommodating as could be, the food was incredible and the scenery simply could not be beat! We live in the Northeast, so not only did we have to plan and coordinate everything with Gina remotely while not getting to see the place until the day before the rehearsal dinner, but we also had to do everything within 4 months! And we were honesty impressed with how quickly and beautifully they pulled everything off! Gina, the wedding coordinator, was absolutely incredible. She is GREAT at what she does. We simply provided her with ideas of what we wanted, and she produced. . . exceeding our expectations. The entire staff was supremely accommodating to us and our guests - including special accommodations for elderly and slightly disabled guests as well as guests with food allergies. We also had to make some last-minute changes from dining outside to inside, and they pulled everything off with a smile and without a hitch! We'd also like to give a special shout out to a particular staff member, Dallas. While Gina handle all the big stuff, Dallas made sure each and every guest had anything and everything they needed, including striking up engaging conversation and virtually becoming a member of our family! And the SCENERY! And the SUNSET! You simply cannot find a better backdrop for your wedding. Period. It's breathtaking. We could not have imagined getting married anywhere else. If you're looking for a friendly, quaint, supremely accommodating venue for your wedding with unmatched scenery, then Inn on Pamlico Sound is your venue!

My husband and I and our family spent a few nights at the inn and we also had our wedding here. We are from out of state and planned everything with Steve, Gina and Natasha by phone and email. Everything was so simple and stress free, I wouldn’t have changed a thing. It’s such a beautiful place and the food is amazing.

Our wedding on August 4, 2018 was nothing short of AMAZING and PERFECT thanks to Gina and everyone at The Inn on Pamlico Sound. We are unbelievably thrilled with the food, hospitality, kindness, and generosity! The staff is amazing and you will not be disappointed!! If you want a stress free wedding, this is the way to go!

My husband and I got married at the Inn on Pamlico Sound in July and we honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about the venue and its staff. We are from Baltimore and planned a destination wedding for 70 guests, which at first seemed like a daunting and overwhelming task, but the staff excels at event planning and made the whole process stress free. Steve provides organized pricing spreadsheets and a list of preferred vendors, which saved me a ton of time- and all of the vendors were top-notch. Natasha helped us to place our guests in rooms at the Inn for the weekend and was super flexible and accommodating. She responds very promptly to emails and kept everything organized even with multiple changes. Gina, our coordinator, was AMAZING! She is professional but easygoing so I never felt pressured or stressed while planning. On the day of, we dealt with some volatile weather but she somehow managed to get our setup done outside at the last minute so we could have a beautiful outdoor ceremony. The food and service from Cafe Pamlico is incredible! (Shout out to Seth and Dallas!) We had a huge variety to choose from and it was above and beyond our expectations. Our guests kept talking all night about how delicious dinner was! Add all of this together with the beautiful scenery and the spacious, beautifully decorated rooms, and we had a truly amazing wedding weekend. Steve promises to exceed your expectations, and the Inn does exactly that. Thank you Inn on Pamlico Sound for giving me the wedding of my dreams!

The inn was our wedding venue, where we stayed for 5 days in total. Everyone was super friendly and happy, always making you feel at home. The service was fantastic. Gina the wedding coordinator was just fantastic. She was always there to help and had solutions to every problem. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. The view is the most amazing sight to wake up to every morning. We could not have picked a better place to get married.

My husband and I just had our wedding at the Inn on Pamlico Sound. We booked our wedding last year on our family vacation to the island. Throughout the year, I remained in contact with the coordinator, Gina, who helped make sure everything went smoothly throughout the process of planning a wedding. My wedding was intimate, but still required coordination between multiple vendors and people, which Gina and the staff at the Inn assisted with. Everything went perfectly well, with the entire event being a huge success! The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The sunset views were stunning and the food was tasty. My wedding was just how I imagined it would be, minus the stress I anticipated would come with planning a wedding. I highly recommend the Inn on Pamlico Sound for your wedding, as the venue is beautiful and the staff go above and beyond to make sure your special day is enjoyable for all attending the wedding.

Most perfect venue ever! The staff was so amazing, the views were gorgeous, and everything was so absolutely perfect for our wedding day. Everything about the Inn on Pamlico Sound was above and beyond our wildest dreams! Our wedding planner, Gina, was incredible! The food was superb! The whole experience from when we first selected the Inn as our venue right through to the end of our reception was so smooth and perfect, we could not possibly have chosen a better place to get married 😊

The Inn on Pamlico Sound is a little gem on Hatteras Island and we couldn't be more happy with our experience there for our wedding day! The staff was accommodating, caring, and just fun to be around (shout out to Gina and Natasha for being over the top helpful!!). The food is exceptional and the lodging is comfortable and quaint. The view is absolutely amazing and there are few other places that provide such a peaceful and zen setting. We are still hearing from our guests that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! I'm so glad that we decided to go with our hearts and get married in Buxton. Being there celebrated who we are as a couple and the Inn helped keep our vision of being close to nature, providing fresh food, peacefulness, and just being good people!

We got married here in September during the hurricanes. We were supposed to have our ceremony on Wednesday but because of the approaching storms the Inn moved it to Monday for us. It worked out perfect because there was a mandatory evacuation called right before our ceremony. Everyone at the Inn was wonderful! We can't thank Gina and Steve enough along with the servers. Everything was gorgeous, the food was delicious and it turned out to be everything we wanted even amidst all the chaos. We would do it over again the same way!

We chose The Inn for the accommodating features such as the rooms/restaurant/location. The all inclusive feel was very easy as we had family coming from Germany, Massachusetts, Georgia and many more. Gina went above and beyond when it comes to making her brides dreams come true. Living in Raleigh and being a control freak there were times I found it difficult too not be right there checking every detail, but her confidence and reassurance kept me feeling confident and still in control of her making all of my dreams come true. She truly took my vision I had in my head and made it a realization. She and her staff made us feel at home and almost like family. The other team member I'd like to rave about is Dallas. Dallas also went above and beyond making sure Travis and I never went without. He was there every second of the way. He engaged with my family as he was one of us. As a GM of a restaurant myself I could only wish and hope for an employee that truly gives as much as Dallas gave, KUDOS brotha! It was our dream to get married on the beach and even though there was not sand under our feet this was the right place for us and our family. The evening setting was beyond perfect with the beautiful sunset and the beautiful people we got to share it with. I'd highly recommend The Inn for any couple wanting a small yet "large" romantic, quiet setting with great staff at a beautiful location!

My husband and I were very impressed with the staff and all their accommodations during our stay they're. We decided to do our wedding on the beach and have our dinner party there because we wanted the great sunset view and all the reviews lead us to the Inn. We had 30 plus people for dinner and they were able to sit us all together. The service was superb, and the food was phenomenal and so fresh. All our guests raved about how incredible everything was there from the view to the service and especially the food. Best of all I didn't have to lift a finger, they set everything up for us and cleaned it up as well. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a place for a wedding with a great view or even just there wedding dinner to go with The Inn they are great and it's beautiful.

PERFECT! The Inn on Pamlico was perfect for our wedding! I can’t thank Steve and everyone at the Inn enough. They made our wedding totally stress free and amazing. Everyone took the extra time to make it perect from the first visit till we left for our honeymoon! Our wedding was the first after the hurricane that did so much damage and Steve worked day and night to make sure everything was perfect. All our guest fell in love with the Inn and staff. Again I highly recommend the Inn on Pamlico...

The Inn on Pamlico Sound was the perfect place for our small wedding and I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an outer banks wedding of any size, in any season. From the moment I put in my inquiry Steve and his staff were attentive, responsive, and accommodating. The day we arrived for the wedding we met the amazing front of house staff, who gave us a tour and answered all of our questions. Our room had an absolutely stunning view - as did our wedding on the deck. We had dinner in the private room, and the food was exceptional. We could not have been happier with our choice, and will return year after year for our anniversary.

Good: Staff worked very hard to work around weather for wedding and rehearsal. Centerpieces wouldn’t stay upright due to wind, and they tried to fix. Made bonfire despite high winds. Event staff is awesome – even found a babysitter. Location is beautiful and new deck is great. Rooms are comfy. Food is delicious. Bad: Staff rarely replied within promised 24 hours. Pool/deck were destroyed in Matthew (10/16). We discovered this only upon visiting Hatteras in 11/16; Inn began booking our guests and didn’t mention the damage to us. I felt very misled. When I said this, Steve was responsive and apologetic, but we should have been informed proactively. At the wedding, we had several issues, only one of which has ever been explained. Different champagne was served than what we ordered. We weren’t told to expect this, and we’d never tasted it; photos show that this was the case from the outset (vs that we ran out). Plastic was used for champagne/beer/wine; it looked and felt cheap. Water, however, was in actual glasses. The amplifier blew 3x and finally died, killing the dancing. We found out belatedly that all of the kids at our wedding (9 out of 70 ppl) were fed 45 min after everyone else (entrées the same, just smaller). No explanation for any of the above, except amp was faulty and mfr. sent a new one. After I posted my initial review in July, Steve asked me to take it down, so we could “make it right” – he had not been aware of any of the issues outside of the amp. We appreciated this and removed the review. We do not feel his offer of 4 nights’ lodging/dinner, while generous, is commensurate with the issues (and we live 6 hours away); our weekend brought over $25k of revenue in the shoulder season. Steve will not consider an alternative (i.e. refund of venue fee) and insinuated I was out of line for asking for this. We are reposting our review with the added information. I wanted to be married here since before I met my husband, so very sad it ended this way.

The inn on pamlico sound was the perfect choice for our wedding. The setting is gorgeous, the accommodations are unmatched and I legitimately can not say enough good things about the staff. Gina Williams the venue's coordinator was there at every step telling us what has worked best for them in the past and being open to some different ideas we had including rolling up to the ceremony in a dune buggy (one of my favorite moments of the night). She even ran to the store last minute when we forgot long sticks for roasting s'mores. It was the sweetest. I could go on but Scott the chief, and Crystal thier bar manager deserve some serious accolades themselves. An outside vender for our wedding cake-alternative fell through about 9 weeks before our wedding and Scott stepped up and made us an awesome three tiered rice crispy treat cake having never done it before. He also knocked dinner out of the park with a fantastic meal, even accommodating for a last minute vegetarian without blinking an eye. Crystal helped not only steer us in the right direction picking wines she came to an offsite party we hosted and bartended for us. She special ordered wines for us and came up with a declious signature cocktail for us as well. Our guests had so much fun we have actually gotten cards from them asking us to have a "wedding reunion" at the inn of course. The staff as a whole was so wonderful and so fun they joined us on the dance floor for a song and really livened up the party. It was one of the best experiences of my life and it is due at least in large part to exceptional service, and people that you find at the Inn on Pamlico sounds. We can't wait to go back, we feel like we didn't just make memories, it felt we'd made friends.

We had our son's and daughter in law's rehearsal dinner at The Inn on Pamlico Sound in May and had a beautiful evening at The Inn. Steve Nelson , the owner has the best staff ever and we cannot say enough about the delicious food cooked by Chef Scott Surratt: fresh , perfectly seasoned , fulfilling yet light ! Our room looked over the beautiful sound and Gina , the Event Coordinator had the tables beautifully set . We had a lively crowd of about 31 and even had a baby and a toddler and the staff made sure all had a seat and they took our orders and brought the dinner in with amazing flow and timing. Everyone enjoyed their meal immensely and I enjoyed watching our guests enjoy themselves in this comfortable yet classy atmosphere. I just love the personality of the wait staff and all the staff at the Inn . By the end of the evening I felt like we were all family as that is how they treated us . This was one of the best nights of my life. The staff even let our party take over the theater room for a home made DVD of the kids growing up - I did not see a dry eye in the house ! Thank you to Steve Nelson and staff for providing such a unique and memorable evening for our family ! We look forward to coming again to the Outer Banks and The Inn on Pamlico Sound for sure !

I cannot say enough good things about the Inn on Pamlico sound and the staff. We recently had our wedding there and could not have picked a better place. The property itself is beautiful and the sound views make for unique and gorgeous pictures. The staff at the Inn were so enthusiastic and helpful and just went above and beyond for the wedding. Gina, the wedding coordinator, had everything running smoothly on the day of the wedding and any little issue that popped up, like a broken bustle, she fixed like it was nothing. Another highlight worth noting about the Inn is the food. The rehearsal dinner and reception dinners were both incredible with lots of fresh seafood. Overall we had a great experience at the Inn and would not change a thing if we had to do it all again!

My husband and I recently wed at the Inn and it was an absolutely amazing experience...Truly the wedding of our dreams. The owner Steve told us that he shoots to out do his guests expectations and he did that by leaps and bounds. He was always around to make sure things were going smoothly, guests were happy, and to answer any questions. He runs a beautiful hotel. Will, the Chef at Cafe Pamlico was more than accommodating to all requests, created a diverse menu for over 100 guests for two nights, and turned our favorite foods into delicious fare. Gina the wedding coordinator was tremendous. She exceeded every brides expectation of how a wedding would turn out. She not only made sure everything went according to schedule on 2 separate nights but also decorated and designed a beautiful setting. She was there anytime we needed her and was always willing to help in every situation. The staff (Lynzie, Julia, Dallas, Autumn, Krystal, Rosa, Karen, Sabrina, Jen, Alicia, Crew, Josh, and Danielle) was beyond friendly, put our guests at ease, and saw to their every need. The Inn offered a preferred vendor list from which we selected Daniel Pullen our photographer, and Danny Couch Island Native and owner of Hatteras Tours for wedding party transportation. Daniel and his coworker Kate took beautiful photos while blending in with the crowd. Danny offered safe & reliable transportation to and from the Inn. And the DJ Matt Cooper played a wide selection of music which kept our guests on the dance floor. The views are gorgeous and we could not have asked for anything more. We will definitely be back!
