We had our wedding at The Italian Club, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The venue’s elegant and historical charm added a unique touch to our special day, creating the perfect atmosphere. We utilized all three floors, each with its own character, which allowed us to seamlessly transition from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and then to the reception.
Mark, our venue coordinator, was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process. He was attentive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about making our wedding day perfect. His expertise and dedication made everything run smoothly, and we couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator.
If you’re looking for a stunning venue with exceptional service, The Italian Club is the perfect choice. We couldn’t be happier with how our wedding turned out!
Perfect venue, rich with culture. Had everything we needed for our wedding. Each floor added to the experience as well as creating a distinct location for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Reception on third floor was perfect amount of space for our guests and vendors, including our 6 piece live band that fit on the stage. Mark was fantastic to work with, answered all questions we had promptly. Everything was perfect the day of.
The Italian Club was the perfect choice for our wedding! We held both our reception and ceremony at this venue and they could not have been more beautiful. Mark was so easy to work with and answered every email I sent in a timely manner. Not to mention he was familiar with many of our vendors already. If you are looking in Tampa for a wedding venue this is such a beautiful option.
I can't wait for our Wedding in Nov. Mark is so helpful & easy to work with!
What a beautiful venue! Mark was so helpful and responsive through the entire process. Having our wedding there was a perfect decision. It was so wonderful that we could have our dogs take part in the ceremony and reception. Thanks for Mark for helping us have a perfect day!
I am so happy we chose the Italian Club for our reception venue, it was everything we hoped for and more! We utilized the cantina on the first floor for our cocktail hour and later a cigar bar, and the third floor ballroom for our reception. The building is beautiful and our guests keep complimenting the venue choice. Even better than the venue itself is Mark, the on-site coordinator. Mark was excellent to work with throughout the entire process and made sure everything we requested was taken care of and went above and beyond to make our day special. Thank you Mark & the Italian Club!
We choose the The Italian Club of Tampa in Ybor city! The venue was absolutely beautiful and was remodel a few months ago. The venue itself is three floors. The first floor we used for cocktail hour and the third floor we used for our reception. Mark was an amazing. He’s friendly, communicated with us during the whole planning process, always responded to my emails and accommodated my mocktail request (which I was very thankful for as well as many of my guest). He blocked the sides of the building for us so we can take pictures and do our exit at the end. Our main concern was the safety of our guest, venue holds up to 300 people therefore, we were able to space out the tables and have 8 guest per table. Mark also had signs for social distancing and ensure everyone wore a mask when getting a drink from the bar.
Where do I even start, it was perfect. Mark is a GOD SEND. He quite literally stopped traffic so we could get pictures in the middle of a busy street. He was always immediately responsive, helped set everything up, and never made me feel like a bother. Extremely organized (which was a necessity for my type A self). The venue itself is 3 stories, but I only used the first and second floors. The layout was perfect and it was my fairy tale wedding.
I knew from the moment I got engaged this was where I wanted to have my dream wedding. I originally grew up in New York with my big Italian family and my now husband was born and raised in Tampa. The Italian club was the perfect place that fused both of our worlds in the heart of historic Ybor. The building is newly renovated, celebrating 100 years, with new carpets and windows. With 3 floors, all unique, we were able to reserve the whole building so our guests could move throughout and stay all in one place. Mark Stanish was our contact throughout this process and he was truly amazing. I can’t tell you how many times I emailed him with a concern or a question and he got back to me every time quickly and efficiently. We also met several times over the course of my planning to review vendor questions, plan details, and review any questions I had. Mark is really wonderful and was an essential part of our wedding day. He even helped my bridesmaids bustle my dress on my wedding day!!
Choosing the Italian Club in Ybor for our wedding was the very first decision we made and definitely one of the best. It's a beautiful building with three unique floors in an incredibly lively and diverse neighborhood. The venue coordinator, Mark, is the best in the business. If you are looking for a venue that is timeless, accessible, glamorous, and reasonably-priced, you must consider The Italian Club.
When we found the Italian Club we knew this was the perfect space to have our reception. The warmth of the room along with the marble stair case and historical design really made us fall in love with this building. We started our journey with Dona who had been at the Italian Club for a long time but ended up in the last few months working with Mark who has also been there several years (and in the wedding business for a long time!). After some unanswered emails from Dona we called the Italian Club where we spoke with Mark. We were shocked when we found out our on site coordinator had left without telling us only about 6 weeks before my wedding date but Mark really came to the rescue in the end. Mark honored everything that we had spoken about with Dona as we moved quickly forward towards our wedding date. This was a blessing in disguise. This guy will return your emails right away, does everything on computer and will send you copies which we preferred over doing things on paper, and will meet with you to do final detail and go over everything.
The Club itself was beautiful and the space fit our guests perfectly. We had about 135 people but we had originally planned for 160 which also would of worked great. We loved the Italian Club, it has a space for ceremony on the 2nd floor (but we got married at a church) and a bottom floor bar with a speak easy feel where we had our cocktail hour. The reception is on the 3rd floor with windows overlooking Ybor. There is a lot of parking for guests, a great bar, and elevators, and bathrooms on every floor. Highly recommend the Italian Club! Our pictures were great in this venue and it was just perfect for us. Thanks Mark, you really did a great job we are so happy!
I have seen mixed reviews bout Dona, and we had mixed experiences with her as well. but she is no longer with the Italian club. The new contact is Mark Stanish, and he was A DREAM to work with. Mark was amazing. He helped us lay out a floor plan and a timeline for the day. He literally stopped traffic so we could get a picture on 7th Ave under the lights.
We had so many guests compliment us on our choice of venue. It is historic, interesting, and not overdone. The value of the open bar was worth every penny. It was great that we were the only event in the building that day. I highly recommend renting out the whole building- it was awesome to have the ceremony on the second floor, the cocktail hour on the first floor in the cantina, and the reception on the third floor in the ballroom. It all flowed so smoothly- and I know Mark played a big role in that. Also, everybody who has been to Ybor knows that parking can be tricky. The Italian Club gives you access to the lot for your guests to park in for free during your event!
My husband and I hosted our entire wedding day at the Italian Club in Ybor and loved it! The building is so beautiful on it's own, that it requires so few decorations, but also has the charm to have as much decorations as you could ever dream. The building has three levels. First floor is the Cantina, the second floor is the Theater, and the third floor is the ballroom. We held our ceremony on the second floor, the cocktail hour on the first floor and reception on the third floor. It was a perfect venue for our wedding because we wanted everything to be in one place. Being able to use all three floors of the building allowed us to do that while still having our guests be in three different places for each part of the evening.
We worked closely with Dona at the Italian Club who filled the role of a wedding planner for us. She ran everything from running the rehearsal the night before, to lighting all of the candles on each guest table, to coordinating all of our vendors the days before and day of the wedding to making sure that all wedding party members were in the right place at the right time and all guests were directed where to go at all times. She made everything so easy and effortless for us!
The building speaks for itself in it's historic beauty. Black and white patterned tile floors, winding marble stair cases, elaborate and decorative crown molding, beautiful paintings on the ceilings, large windows that let it in the perfect amount of natural light and elegant wrought iron railings and grating. The building makes for the perfect backdrop for a wedding.
As far as outside vendors at the Italian Club, you can pretty much use anyone you want, but the Club does have an extensive list of preferred vendors. We chose to contact and work with their approved vendors for photography, DJ service and catering because we learned quickly that not only do those vendors already know the ins and outs of the building, but also know each other and are able to work well with each other and also know those who work and run the Italian Club as well. If you've never planned a wedding before, you'll learn, like we did, that your vendors have to work together and communicate with each other a lot more than you ever thought of or realized! It was so nice having peace and comfort when we realized all of our vendors knew each other enough to work together effortlessly, and the Italain Club has an excellent preferred vendor list! If you chose to use the Italian Club and choose to have alcohol at your event, you do have to use their alcohol, which is another common trend we also learned. They hold the liquor license, therefore they are responsible for all alcohol on their premise. They have multiple options to choose from and will work with you to find the right bar package for you and your budget. They have a great selection of Italian wines, craft beers, of course any liquor you can think of and sangria options too!
One of the best parts of the renting this building was that as long as there was not another event going on the night before, we could have nearly everything in the reception room set up the day beforehand. They allowed us to come in and drop things off and set up things on our own because the room was available
We highly recommend using this building and working with the fantastic staff at the Italian Club! Thanks for helping to make our wedding absolutely perfect!
My daughter and I loved working with Dona at Italian Club. She was so helpful and guided us through the whole process. The day of the wedding, she was SO AMAZING!! The venue is absolutely beautiful. Dona ensured she knew all of the other vendors and worked with them, which allowed my daughter's wedding to be a success. Thanks to Dona, she guided all of us and the whole wedding/reception went smoothly!
My husband and I got married at The Italian Club in Ybor, Florida. We used the theatre for our ceremony and The Cantina downstairs for our reception. The staff was really helpful and the location was unique and beautiful..just what we wanted!
I picked the Italian Club because the theme for my wedding was old hollywood glam. The building did not disappoint. It's over 100 years old but beautifully renovated. The staff was extremely nice and accomodating. At the end of the night our guests wanted to keep the party going so we asked if we could extend it an hour and for a small fee they let us stay! The whole experience was a dream come true and the Italian Club was a huge part of that.
Cheryl was unbelievable to work with. She was such a blessing. The Italian Club is such a beautiful historic site and it created an ambiance for the entire evening. All of the staff were at hand ready to help and the drop of a hat. I highly recommend this venue!
