Come wedding day, I met the owner, Margie, for the first time and she was just a delight! She immediately stocked our rooms with drinks and even helped out with some decor that we forgot! Amanda. She was extremely easy to work with. She let me come several times to bring my family from out of state. While my husband is from the Delta, I am from Illinois and wasn't familiar with a lot of the vendors. Amanda helped with recommendations, even asked other brides who they used for certain items I was looking for! Amanda even helped make sure I had everything that I needed as bride on my wedding day. However.. we never imagined that our biggest fear would be a snow storm in the middle of the South. Everyone at the Jefferson was supportive, encouraging, and determined to make sure our day was everything we wanted and more. From wedding prep at The Graduate, to pictures with Will in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, then finally, to the first looks, ceremony, dancing the night away, and our side-car send off at the Jefferson. Our original plan was just to get married in the Grove...this was until we saw The Jefferson. We did not even bother to look at any other wedding venue! The beauty and thoughtfulness that went into the structure and authenticity of the venue is equally matched and exceeded by the team at the Jefferson. They are without a doubt our family now. Their support they offered us as we planned a totally DIY wedding from a distance during a pandemic made the experience so seamless.
In addition, they knew our wedding was planned around football. When the Ole Miss schedule was getting switched around and tailgating in the Grove was prohibited, Margie, Kelly, and Amanda worked endlessly to give us an option to host a tailgate at The Jefferson. This allowed us to still give our friends and family the full Oxford experience.
