My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with Emma at The Langham, Boston, and we cannot praise her enough. With less than three months to plan our dream wedding, we were initially apprehensive about the tight timeline. However, from the moment we engaged her services, she put our minds at ease with her exceptional organization, quick responses, and unwavering professionalism.
From the very beginning, she demonstrated a remarkable attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of our special day was meticulously coordinated. Her warmth and friendliness made the planning process enjoyable and stress-free, and it was evident that she genuinely cared about making our wedding day perfect.
Despite the tight timeframe, she went above and beyond our expectations, seamlessly coordinating every element of the event. Whether it was liaising with vendors, creating a detailed timeline, or addressing any last-minute concerns, she handled everything with grace and efficiency.
Thanks to her dedication and expertise, our wedding day was truly the most beautiful and memorable day of our lives. We cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone in search of a wedding planner who will exceed their expectations. We would jump at the chance to work with her again for any future celebrations in our lives. Thank you for making our dreams a reality!
I could not have dreamed of a better venue for our wedding than the Langham Hotel. Fabrina Guzman is so kind, professional, and truly a pleasure to work with. She is amazing at what she does and helped us plan to the very last detail. She constantly made herself available, checked in on planning progress, and ensured all our questions were answered. In the weeks leading up to our wedding date, she coordinated well with my other vendors and really help to alleviate stress by taking a lot off my plate. There was a chance of rain on our wedding day and the night before, she even organized getting us an umbrella that would look nice in photos and had it ready for us in our room. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness is unmatched! The service at our reception was truly 5 star quality. My husband and I were so impressed with the food and beverage service that we are still talking about it weeks later! Many of our guests shared this with us as well. To top it off, the room where we stayed was beautiful and the staff even left a few surprises in our room which really made us feel special. We are so thrilled that we chose the Langham Hotel for our wedding and we can’t wait for many more stays with this exceptional group!
I was convinced after my initial phone call with JIllian Nichols of the Langham Hotel that this would be the wedding venue for my last daughter’s wedding. When we had our in person meeting I was “all in '' as was my daughter. This is our 4th daughter to get married and we have acquired wedding venue experience. Our experience with Jillian and the Langham hotel staff was without a doubt the BEST!
When we signed the contract, parts of the Langham where the wedding would be, were still under construction and we accepted based on architect renderings and on one of the two ballrooms. It was a bit of a leap of faith, but was the best decision!
Jillian is just amazing. She is knowledgeable, and has a list of vendors at the ready if you are in need. What she does is fully engage, she asks you about your vision for your wedding and then she makes it her mission to make your own dreams and vision to be fulfilled beyond what you’d imagine. She is 100% responsive and is always available for your questions. Jillian makes sure every detail is attended to and that all needs are met. She establishes relationships with your vendors to make sure they have all they need all the while keeping you informed. During the process she also makes you feel like you are the most valued client that she has –you know she has many events on her calendar that she is responsible for, but somehow she makes you feel like you are all that matters. She truly cares.
The day of our daughter’s wedding was beyond spectacular, not only was her vision realized, she was living her dream wedding surpassing all her expectations. It was magical, elegant, and stunning beyond belief. Every detail was attended to. That day when we arrived at the Langham, Jillian was there with all details taken care of–it was simply perfection!
Now to review the Langham overall. The space is elegant. The entire staff is the most attentive staff that I have ever encountered. They are all true professionals. All employees are respectful, detail-oriented, and more than that they are genuinely happy to help you and care for you. From the door man, reception desk, wait staff, to the custodial staff, honestly every employee seems to enjoy their job and in turn make you feel so valued to be their guest.
Overall above and beyond is how I would describe Jillian Nichols and the Langham Hotel! We wish we could do it all over again!
Any questions?
Getting married at the Langham Hotel was nothing short of perfection. The Langham feels like your own family is taking care of you. The entire staff at the Langham is detail-oriented, hard-working, on top of everything, and treats you wonderfully! From the doormen who help you bring in all your things, to the people at the front desk who help with check-in, to the wait staff, bartenders--everyone is wonderful.
We worked with Jillian Nichols who went above and beyond throughout the whole process and was extraordinary the day of the wedding! She is an upbeat, efficient, caring person who strives to ensure your day is everything you imagined. Jillian cares for her couples and made our experience magical.
Jillian is very well versed and connected to vendors in Boston. When we realized we needed seating for the second ballroom, she connected me with an amazing vendor for lounge seating!
Throughout the process, she lets you know what information you need to provide and by which dates, communicates important information, and checks in on how you are doing.
Jillian and her team work hard to make sure all of your requests, concerns, needs are addressed and taken care of. A small detail was that as the bride, I had forgotten to give myself a designed gingerbread house (which was my centerpiece) Jillian and the catering team took one of the extras that I had provided and decorated it specifically for my table! It is those little things that make Langham so special.
During the wedding, Jillian made sure my husband and I were taken care of--from checking in on if we needed a drink, opening the doors for our entrance into the ballroom, checking on our parents, setting up a cozy corner for my nieces and nephews, handling details with the band, other vendors--Jillian was ON IT! I never had one worry about how things were executed at the Langham. I completely trusted them through the whole experience and especially so that day of the wedding!
I could not recommend Langham more for your wedding. It is a gorgeous place filled with amazing people who will make your wedding the dream you always imagined
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Langham in Boston recently and I am still in awe of everything! It was surreal. The venue is the most beautiful venue I've ever been to for a wedding, so I'm so honored that it was for MY wedding! Lucky me! The staff of the Langham is top notch. I've never experienced a classier or more helpful staff. For our wedding, we worked closely with a coordinator named Samantha Rivera and she was absolutely amazing. The food was all delicious and beautifully presented. My favorite part of the Langham Boston is the Wyeth Room where we held our ceremony - it is just jaw-dropping! I also loved having our after party at the Bond Lounge downstairs. There were so many unique and gorgeous nooks and crannies around the main floor and second floor for photographs, I can't wait to see how they all came out! I highly recommend the Langham for a wedding if you can afford it.
Amazing wedding venue! My wife and I had our wedding at the Langham in Boston on July 2, 2016 and we are beyond happy that we did.
The venue itself is beautiful with a boutique feel to it. It's conveniently located in downtown Boston which is perfect if you plan on having out of town guests. The hotel is about a 5-10 min walk to most of the major sights that the city has to offer and is only a 10-15 min drive to Logan airport.
The spaces used for the reception and cocktail hour are gorgeous. Specifically, the Wyeth Room is very unique and provides a huge wow factor! The food was totally on point (We had many guests comment that the food was the best they ever had at a wedding) and the white glove service offers a nice classy touch not seen or provided by other establishments.
The staff at the Langham were always accommodating and professional. We had the pleasure of working directly with Samantha Rivera, our planner provided by the hotel. She was so nice, communicative and easy to work with. She was one of the reasons why my wife and I had the best experience we could have hoped for.
The Langham Boston is a superb wedding venue that I would highly recommend to any newly engaged couple looking for a venue in Boston.
We could not have asked for a more exquisite place than the Langham in Boston to get married. We live in TX and we were looking for an elegant yet historically Boston place to get married and The Langham was perfect. We worked with Hillary and she was the most kind, attentive, understanding wedding coordinator we could have asked for. She set the standards for anyone I would ever want to help us plan and execute the best day of our lives. Everything went off without a hitch and I felt unbelievable relaxed because Hillary and The Langham had everything under control. Everyone has been talking about how wonderful our wedding was and I couldn't agree more! Thank you Hillary and everyone at The Langham for a wonderful, spectacular, memorable day and evening!!!

The Langham, Boston
Overall, I could not be happier with my decision to host our wedding at the Langham Boston. The staff was attentive and always available. The white glove service was elegant. Most of all, the wedding coordinator was fantastic! I cannot tell you how many emails I sent and they were always responded to within hours at most.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
I had my wedding there this past September and every day I am receiving comments on how spectacular the wedding was.
Linde, the Wedding Coordinator, was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was there to help us every step of the way and worked with us to accommodate all of our needs. I really couldn't have asked for a better person to work with during this time!
The food was absolutely amazing and everyone continues to rave about it. The room was perfect. It really transforms into such a stunning venue.
We had a wonderful experience at the Langham and I highly recommend using them. I went through several venues before I chose this and I am so happy that I did. All of the aspects that you want perfect for a wedding they really make happen.
When my fiancé and I were searching for our wedding venue - the Langham popped up at the bottom of the list. It wasn't very well known and it did have a few reviews that weren't so great. I had heard about some million dollar renovations and I also found out there was a new coordinator in place. I was drawn to the different, open but intimate layout.
All these factors truly proved themselves to be true. Linde Schwartz- the coordinator currently there- has unbelievably added the POW that this place needed. I am so thankful we fell into her hands as one of the first couples to experience the Langham at its best.
This place CLEARLY turned itself around from what it was in years before. So many updates the hotel looks absolutely stunning and new. Their service was impeccable and even if there were things in questions or that needed to be revised - it was done immediately.
Everyones enthusiasm and genuine service was something that made my experience extra special.
There are A LOT of different people working in that venue, so the only annoying thing was some miscommunications here and there but overall that was quickly addressed and solved.
I highly recommend you check this place out if you are looking for a warm, fun, custom for you experience. The interior is the PERFECT combination of classic, modern, traditional, elegance!
We wanted a 'small' wedding for 60 guests. We were targeting understated elegance which was achieved with the Governor's room for the cocktail hour and the Wyeth room for the reception. The Langham event coordinator offered me great advice for food, drink, vendor and decorating options. She also had good attention to detail to ensure the day went smoothly. Guests raved about the spectacular food and service.
The Langham Boston is a beautiful wedding venue overlooking Post Office Park. That beings said, the process of planning a wedding with their wedding coordinator, Linde, was a headache.
Venue Contract:
- The Langham tried to increase its prices on us, citing a clause in the venue contract that Linde had said would not apply to us. The Langham ended up backing down on this provision and not increasing the prices, but it was annoying to have them go back on what they said.
Room Block:
- To increase the number of rooms in our room block, we had to sign an addendum that was too difficult to understand (and my husband and I are lawyers!). When we asked to clarify the language, we were told that this was "a legal document that could not be changed." Eventually The Langham did change the document, but not after many angry phone calls.
- The Langham also told several of our guests who called to book rooms that our room block was full, even though we still had open rooms. This was annoying for our guests, who often booked at other hotels and missed the experience of staying at the hotel.
Tasting:
- We had scheduled and confirmed a date for the tasting, but we were told twice that The Langham had double booked our tasting date and needed to reschedule. That was inconvenient for my husband's brother and sister-in-law (our plus-ones for the tasting) because they had rearranged their schedule, gotten a babysitter, and taken off of work to come to the tasting on a Friday (there are no weekend tasting dates).
- We also told Linde that my husband and I were vegetarians, so we wanted to try the vegetarian dishes at the tasting. She told us that the chef could not do that, but at the tasting when the chef found out that we were vegetarians, he made us something special to taste. Why couldn't Linde have just told the chef that we were vegetarians at the start?
Preparing for the Wedding Day:
- Although Linde sent us the event orders and paperwork a couple of weeks before the wedding, there were so many errors in the paperwork that it took my mom and I several hours to edit. For example, the paperwork said that we were getting married in March and charged us for things that we were never told we would be charged for!
- Linde spent most of the time confirming things for the wedding with my mom, even though after my husband and I finished studying for the bar exam we were the main contacts for the wedding and my mom did not know everything that was happening.
- Linde also told us a week before the wedding that we couldn't have the wedding ceremony in the Esplanade because we had too many people. Getting married in the window-less Wilson Ballroom was not going to work for us and we made that clear. Eventually The Langham made it work, but not after hours on the phone with their staff.
- During our walkthrough, my dad asked that the aisle to be centered and Linde yelled at him that it would work just the way it was. It was her way or bust, but it was our wedding!
The Wedding Day:
- For the most part, our wedding day was beautiful and we had an amazing time at The Langham.
- The only issues were (1) The best man could not check into his room early, as requested, so he had to shower and get ready at the gym; and (2) Clubbers from BOND crashed our wedding as The Langham had no security to keep the crowd in line at BOND and not sneaking up to our party.
Overall, the Langham is beautiful, but they need better wedding staff!
My wedding took place at the Langham Hotel on September 21, 2013, and everything about the venue was amazing. Our wedding coordinator was fantastic, and they really worked with us to create the best day ever. The food was AMAZING, and the service was impeccable.
After looking at over a dozen options for wedding venues in the Boston area, we finally decided on the Langham Hotel as our location, and we could not be happier with the decision! The value was by far the best of all the places we looked at (we checked out both hotels and "alternative" venue options). We originally signed our contract with Nicola, but she ended up leaving the hotel and we were transitioned to Kara. The change was easy and Kara already had all the information we had discussed with Nicola. She was able to offer us a lot of direction so that everything ran the way we wanted it to on the day of. She was away on our wedding date, but our day-of coordinator, Abigail, was constantly communicating with us throughout the planning and made sure things went smoothly. The space was fantastic, the food was delicious, and people are still raving about the whole event more than 6 months later!
This review is based on our recent wedding at the langham Boston. My now husband and I were had an extended engagement spanning almost two years. We began looking for venues immediately and were over the moon when we met Meghan. We loved the Esplanade room and we loved Meghan. She was helpful and committed to making the experience easy and fun. Almost immediately after we signed the contract Meghan left the langham and we were assigned Nicola now Nicola . We found her very difficult to work with; never available for meetings , would not return phone calls within a reasonable time frame. She wanted to have things her way, during our tasting she was rude and unprofessional. Speaking over me and my guests and setting the flow of the days events as she wanted them and not as we were suggesting. As she was escorting us through the hotel it was hard to miss all of the construction that was happening. I became upset because plans for construction were never disclosed to any of us. I was worried that the construction would ot be finished in time for the wedding. They assured me that it would . The construction was never done in time for our wedding. there are over a dozen hotels in boston and we would of preferred to hold our reception at one not undergoing such extensive reconstruction. It was at this time Nicola said that we were giving her a headache.
In addition, Nicola sprung some pretty pertinent information to us that day of our food tasting. That the hotel would be undergoing renovations during our wedding. This kind of disclosure should of happened before signing the contract.
We involved an another manager Rebecca . I never met her until the week of the wedding but according to my parents and fiancé she was more approachable and professional than Nicola .
Two weeks before our wedding Nicola emailed to say she was leaving the langham hotel and our new point of contact was Kara.
Kara is extremely ingenuine. She is also new to the langham. She was only there 3-4 months when she was appointed manager of catering. Our wedding was the second or third wedding she was heading by herself. Everything on the day was perfect with some exceptions.
Kara and Rebecca mis wrote our time of arrival . We confirmed our time of arrival to the hotel a 3pm both verbally at the final wrap up meeting and in two emails to Kara but when we arrived to the hotel hungry and thirsty Kara told me that she wouldnt have our cocktail room ready until 5 or 530. No one in my bridal party could even get water from the hotel because of Kara and Rebeccas lack of attention. Instead they had to go to the cvs on e corner in suits and bridesmaids dresses to get bottled water.
Kara and Rebecca B were told of a dress change by me , the bride, as a surprise to my husband to be. I asked them twice including the day of to please keep it under wraps as it was obviously a surprise. But I should have known better. While waiting to enter the reception space for the first time as husband and wife Rebecca and Kara blurted out that my second dress was in our room, twice.
Our wedding was the most special and magical day of our lives. It was the family and friends that made that day incredible. It was amazing. Of the positives : The food was phenomenal. Their wait staff and chefs are talented and courteous. Everything was perfect except for these black clouds, Nicola, Rebecca B and Kara T. Unprofessional, inexperienced, unorganized , distasteful and sh
The Langham Hotel was the absolute perfect venue for my November wedding. The pricing is reasonable and they can accomodate large groups, which was a must for us. Nicola and the rest of the staff were on top of every detail and we received sooo many compliments from our guests on how wonderful the service, food, atmosphere, etc was. I couldn't be happier with my choice to have my wedding here!!
The Langham provided the greatest service at my wedding there in October 2011. Every single person there went above and beyond to make it the best day - everything was seamless and so easy. The food was DELICIOUS and the guests couldn't stop talking about how good the apps were. Nicola, the event coordinator there was AMAZING and really on top of everything. She made the entire planning process so much fun and stress free. A beautiful venue, elegant and fun!
We had a great experience at the Langham, and so did our guests. Their blocking policy was great--we got a suite for filling a certain percentage of our block, which was great. When we came back on our wedding night, we had chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and roses in our room on our wedding night. Our guests talked about how friendly the staff was and how great the value was--we would definitely recommend them to anyone!
We were so happy with the Langham. We had our cocktail hour in the historic-looking Wyeth room and our reception in Cafe Fleuri which we chose because it was very different than your average ballroom and had wonderful views of post office square. The food was excellent and everything ran perfectly the day of the wedding. Nicola, the catering manager was excellent and always responded quickly and thoroughly to my many emails. We also used them for our room block and were very pleased with the rooms and pricing they were able to offer.
First off, we had the wedding of our dreams and are still hearing raves from friends & family alike.
Staff: Loved Nicola, the wedding liason, and 99% of the Langham staff was great (only negative to whole experience was an overzealous security guard toward end). Nicola was great to work with, helpful via email & phone, making meeting times that could fit for my schedule. She also did a great job day of with coordination of vendors, guests, food & making the whole day run along on schedule without making us feel rushed.
Space: The hotel has a variety of spaces, but we fell in love with the Cafe Fleuri space - huge 2 story windows overlooking Post Office Square, glass cathedral ceiling in one half of room...totally unique. We got SO many compliments on such a beautiful and unique space which just suited us so much better than your classic ballroom (oh, they have a really nice one of those too!). Totally magical.
Food: Was delicious, everything came out hot and no one was waiting or eating food that was less than perfectly cooked & heated which can be difficult for a function of 150 people.
Details: Table settings were beautiful, tasting ahead of time gave us the full idea of wedding day, they did a great job with all of our touches that we needed them to set up (table names, escort cards, decorative touches, etc).
My husband and I searched for a venue for a long time and found everything we needed at the Langham. They offer ballroom amenities but with a unique charm. The room itself was so amazing that it didn't need very much to enhance the night. Food and staff were amazing and ensured everyone had a great time (I also had a few dietary restrictions and they offered my guests alternatives for dinner as well as dessert!). If you can fit it into your budget, this venue is well worth the money.
Delicious food. Amazing service. Wonderful location, able to take pictures in the adjacent park. Great space.;We had 180 guests, I wouldn't have any more. Space felt a little tight during cocktail hour.
It provided everything in one location which made it easier to plan a wedding: Ceremony site reception venue catering cake hotel wedding planner. Wedding planning services provide by Gina was excellent she assisted us with out schedule of events for the day and everything went to plan. The bridal suite was roomy romantic and perfect for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready in on the day.
