About this vendor
The Last Hotel is a unique and historic wedding venue that is located in Saint Louis, MO. This destination is one with a proud heritage, preserved through beautiful restoration techniques. Originally starting its story in 1909 as the International Shoe Company, The Last Hotel has since been transformed and refurbished to welcome visitors from near and far. The furnishings that are housed within this establishment’s walls speak to its lengthy narrative, merging antique masterpieces with modern conveniences.
The early 1900s saw the success of the International Shoe Company, and the 21st century sees the thriving reemergence of the building as The Last Hotel. The name itself pays homage to the previous inhabitants. In shoemaking, a last is a wooden product sculpted to take the shape of a human foot. This is what the material of a shoe, often leather, would be crafted around. The hotel took this nomenclature as using the last is considered one of the most important steps in the shoemaking process. As a community-focused establishment, The Last Hotel seeks to provide services full of soul, just as the last provides shape for a shoe.
Guests of events held at this hotel will benefit from an atmosphere that is casually elegant, brimming with historic intrigue. There are 2 ballrooms that couples can choose from, as well as an assortment of smaller rooms should another type of space be required. Scrumptious food is provided on-site, making celebrations both fun and delicious. This hotel’s culinary team is pleased to offer clients flexible menu options. Couples will have the opportunity to work with
Abbey Burns, the Event Manager, at The Last Hotel, as they customize their food selection and plan their dream day. This hospitable establishment and its team is ready to welcome guests and would be pleased to help couples on their wedding journey. For further information about rates, rooms, and packages, potential clients are encouraged to reach out to Abbey at aburns@tlhstl.com with their inquiries.

My husband and I got married here last year. This hotel is the most poorly managed and understaffed venues in all of St. Louis. A few months into our wedding planning the event coordinator from the hotel left abruptly and the replacement, Hillary, provided us nothing but assurances that everything would be taken care of in the transition. That was an unfortunate lie. From when I tried to check in to the bridal suite the night before our wedding and was told the room wasn’t paid for (despite confirmation via email the room was complimentary), to the fiasco of our wedding night, this place is a dumpster fire. Without our incredible wedding planner and her team, there is no way the room would have been flipped from the ceremony in time for our dinner reception. The event coordinator Hillary was missing for 5 hours day of and not responding to calls or texts. Though we were assured the AV system was state of the art, there was one speaker for the entire ballroom and the music was barely audible. Dinner was served over an hour late and was cold, which then delayed us being able to entertain our guests at the after party. After party appetizers were supposed to be served by 7:30 and the first tray didn’t arrive until 9:15, 15 min before the event was supposed to end. Our after party guests were leaving early to find food elsewhere as a result. Valet staff were being removed from their duties to help find and clean chargers, so our guests couldn’t fully utilize the valet service we paid for. Housekeeping staff were recruited to serve dinner because they didn’t have enough catering staff. The bartender was missing from the bar periodically because she was also being asked to clean and serve dinner. After reviewing all these issues and more with the hotel manager (Mike) and providing documentation from our wedding planner about how the event would not have even taken place without the work of her team, his response was that the invoice should’ve been paid before the event (which we emailed Hillary repeatedly to request this and didn’t actually get it until the day after our wedding) and that based on his conversations with his staff the event was a “success”. He also said that no complaints were filed the night of the event, as though I was supposed to file a written complaint with management at 9:30 pm when I’m leaving my own wedding to get ready for the rest of our weekend celebrations. When we asked him to remove charges for services not completed and tried to negotiate the invoice given the incompetence of management and event staff, he refused outright and kept threatening to involve his lawyer (but never actually followed through on this). Mike also told us that he is an investment banker and his partner was supposed to take care of the hotel business but that he was left to deal with this on his own. Clearly he has no idea how to manage a business and has no right to advertise the capability to host a wedding at this sad excuse for a venue.
Do NOT have your wedding or any other important event at this hotel. You will be sorely disappointed. It’s a shame that such a happy event in our lives is forever tainted by the experience we had at this terrible venue.
My husband and I fell in love with this hotel the first time when we were there and it was a very easy decision to choose it as our reception venue. We had a blast hosting our wedding reception at The Last Hotel. All the staff there are very friendly and attentive. A special shout-out to the catering manager Abbey- she made sure all the details of the event is taken care of and answered all of our questions in a timely manner throughout our one-year planning process. We had a perfect weekend, and would definitely recommend TLH to anyone!
For our daughter's wedding, we were beyond happy with the venue and the entire event. All the planning and attention to details paid off and the staff at The Last Hotel was a big part of that! We had the entire 10th floor for our ceremony and reception with a served dinner, open bar and a 10 piece band. The venue ballroom and pre-function (cocktail reception) area were dedicated to us and perfect.
The Last Hotel staff worked so hard, and I noticed several people doing multiple jobs and helping with a constant smile on their face. The staff knew the wedding couple, parents and guests and gave unique attention to all. We had 50+ rooms dedicated to our wedding venue, so the hotel was more to us than just a one-night event. I had a dinner and multiple dining events at the hotel (Ultima Cucina), and the Director of Food and Beverage took personal care of our wedding groups in addition to assuring me that the main event (wedding dinner) was going to be great....and it was! The food was very good as well as service. Such a great boutique hotel, and I'd recommend for your event(s)! Our weekend was perfect! We did have a decor and floral vendor (Affair to Remember) and a day of planner (PlanitTerra)! All worked so well with each other to make it a special "wedding" day and few nights at the hotel! For the right sized wedding, I'd recommend The Last Hotel!
We had the BEST wedding! Abbey, Mia, and the entire staff at The Last Hotel were a huge part of that experience. Everyone from the head chef to Orlando in the lobby helped either myself, our families, or friends with their accommodations.
The entire weekend went perfectly smooth. I cannot express how much we appreciated the effort that was put in to make our day as special as it was. Special thank you to Abbey, the Catering Manager. She is incredible, kind and a total pro!
We loved having our wedding at The Last Hotel.
We did the ceremony and reception on the 10th floor. Then went up to the rooftop bar and pool. They were great with letting us use their parlors to get ready before the ceremony.
As the ceremony room was being made up for our reception, having the bar area right next to it for cocktails and apps was amazing.
The staff was super helpful with everything.
Our out of town guests loved the hotel.
We wanted something with more charm then box hotels and The Last Hotel was great at that while still having amazing service.
They also stuck with us through 2 cancellations with COVID. 2020, 2021, and then finally in 2022.
From the moment we toured The Last Hotel we immediately knew that was where we wanted to have our reception. Our wedding planning process started pre-pandemic and from the moment the pandemic hit Mia kept us cool and collected all the way through our big day. The food was amazing and the staff went out of their way to make sure every last detail was perfect. Our phenomenal experience set against the back drop of one of the most beautiful hotels in Saint Louis gave us the best day we could have ever imagined.
We had our wedding at The Last hotel this past weekend and it was incredible! The venue is stunning, the staff is incredible. Mia, the coordinator is awesome. All our guests were impressed by the customer service. The food is delicious, I cannot say enough good things about our experience at the Last Hotel. Highly recommend!!!
The Last Hotel made all of our wedding dreams come true. They were beyond accommodating. We worked with Mia Casey, who I cannot say enough good things about! She was so organized and on top of every single detail. She made sure the entire night went perfectly. We have a family tradition of eating a cheeseburger before bed on your wedding night for good luck. The hotel not only made this happen but cleaned our room and set it up perfectly. The staff even wrote us notes congratulating us. It’s all of these little details that made the day go so smoothly.
When we toured the Last Hotel in 2019, we immediately fell in love with it. It is SUCH a vibe - art deco/historic with incredible food and drinks and a rooftop pool - what's not to love? The hotel has changed ownership over the past two years (we were a COVID rescheduled wedding couple), but Mia Casey has been our consistent contact, and she absolutely rocked it. The space is beautiful and provided us plenty of room for cocktail hour, getting ready rooms, and a conference room for the babies + babysitter. You get the entire 10th floor when you book a wedding with them, which was very helpful for logistics. We had ~110 guests, and the ballroom felt full while also giving everyone plenty of room for dancing and spreading out after dinner (we had a band and a dance floor). I do not think more than 130-140 guests would have been possible with the band. The food at our reception was amazing, and we received so many positive comments from the guests (my mom said - "best chicken piccata she's ever had"!) Even the food for the girls getting ready, the send off continental breakfast, etc. was incredible. The rooftop bar closed early due to weather the night of our wedding, but we closed down the lobby bar and had a BLAST. Thanks to everyone at the hotel, especially Mia, for making our wedding weekend unforgettable, and for being so accommodating during all the COVID craziness. We're excited to celebrate our future anniversaries with a staycation here!
The Last Hotel is hands-down the best place to get married in St. Louis. We booked in pre-pandemic times and Mia was so great about keeping us in the loop during the craziness that was 2020. They did absolutely everything to accommodate our dream wedding in a safe setting and make it exactly what we wanted. Our guests raved over the food, cocktails, and the Instagram-worthiness of the hotel. Mia is literally an angel and I couldn't recommend working with her enough. Amanda and Megan were great with helping in our room blocks, Orlando was our MVP for all things that weekend, and ALL the bartending staff were all-stars for batching our signature drinks, making custom drinks, and coming up with a mystery shot per my request to surprise some guests. We couldn't have asked for anything better and will continue to be patrons of this hotel for a long time because of how wonderful our experience was with them.
The Last Hotel was spectacular beyond all my expectations. They helped me plan my 40 person wedding ceremony and reception in less than 3 months. It was everything I'd ever dreamed and more. From Mia and Amanda, to Megan in reservations, to Orlando the valet/waiter/jack of all things- my *husband* and I could not recommend The Last Hotel or their staff more.
The staff, Mia in particular, were incredibly helpful in planning our ceremony at The Last Hotel. The space was beautiful, and the staff made sure our small ceremony went smoothly. Definitely would recommend!
