The venue really made the wedding just perfect from the amazing Special Events Coordinator, Shatara Jones, to the great food, the coordination of all of the vendors and the two venues we selected. We married at the Sierra Vista Lawn and had our reception at the cart pad under the twinkling lights. We had a firework show, a live band, mariachi, photo booth, and DJ. This venue can have it all and still give you an intimate family union feel to it. Shatara was just everything you would need to plan the perfect day. She provided lists of vendors and was very communicative and helpful at all times. I explained my vision and the staff brought it to life. Planning our wedding here was super low stress and turned out memorable and beautiful. I can't wait until a family member marries so we can have another wedding here! Recommend 100%.

10th with a lot of questions and didn't get a response until September 4th (she also was unreachable by phone during this time). By this time I had ordered things that she then told me were not allowed so I was just out my money. I emailed her again on September 16th and she did not respond to me until October 10th (our wedding was in less than a month at this point!!!). Shatara also ordered linens for a certain table arrangement even though I never confirmed that was the correct table arrangement, and was unable to change the order so I had to redo the entire seating arrangement. She never communicated to me when the final guest count was due and I hadn't even submitted it at this point so I wasn't sure how we could confirm the table layout without knowing the guest count. She also quoted me the incorrect price per person despite me sending our emails from months before, and would not honor the correct price per person. This caused a lot of back and forth a week before the wedding which caused an unnecessary amount of stress. We ended up just paying more than we should have because I could not handle the stress the week before the wedding from the person that was supposed to be in my corner and make sure everything went smoothly for my big day. In Shatara's defense, I moved across the country before the wedding so I unfortunately must have just been the bride that she deprioritized that left her scrambling at the end, but the utter lack of communication and careless mistakes made this process more stressful than it needed to be. I was really happy I hired an awesome day of coordinator to help out and would recommend other brides here do the same. I really did have an amazing day at Legacy and would recommend it. It was so fun to have guests stay at the resort, the rooms were awesome, the food was good, the venue itself was beautiful and had a lot of options of ceremony/reception setups. At the end of the day, our wedding went off without a hitch, but I think it's important for brides to know my experience so they can try to get ahead of some of these issues. Another miscellaneous pro tip: I also was unable to get the number of room blocks I needed, so I reserved a bunch on Booking.com and transferred them to my guests in case anyone faces a simliar situation :)

During the wedding, she made sure we had everything we needed and did so much more than we ever expected. I would book this venue just to work with her. Additionally, the catering staff was wonderful and went above and beyond. For the venue itself, it is BEAUTIFUL. We had a welcome party the night before in the Palmer Room, which was a perfect setting that led out onto the patio. For the wedding, our ceremony was on the Sierra Vista lawn, cocktail hour on the Tee Box, and reception on the Cart Pad. It was so awesome to have such unique, but nearby locations to have each event. All of our guests kept telling us how beautiful it was and that they really enjoyed the flow of the day. There are so many different options for catering/bar which are so affordable compared to other venues we toured. Not to mention the vendor they partner with for cake/cupcakes was also amazing. Overall our wedding was perfect, and I wish we could do it all over again at Legacy!

our ceremony/reception, and the beautiful south mountain view during sunset is why we were sold on getting married here! The venue hosted our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception. Overall our wedding day went great! My only complaint was the $1000+ mandatory decor fee. This fee is automatically added to your contract for the setup and breakdown of decor. I did not hire a personal wedding planner or coordinator, therefore this was an amazing perk that I was excited was offered by the venue. On the day of our wedding, the reception table centerpieces were not setup correctly (I actually noticed it while we were taking our couple photos and I walked over to correct them). They immediately made the correction and I thought this was only a minor mistake so I brushed it off…However, as we made our way into the reception from cocktail hour, I noticed they set up the wrong table napkin colors and they did not repurpose my floral arch, welcome sign, custom bar menu and stir sticks. There was so much going on that I thought they were still working on getting everything moved over. After an hour of seeing no sign of these items being moved, I made my way over to Shatara the venue coordinator to inform her of all the missing decor. It took them about 20-30 minutes to finally get everything moved over, but as a bride it was extremely frustrating to stop your night to inform them of these mistakes. If the venue is having you pay for the setup/breakdown fee and you have 2 meetings prior to your wedding to discuss these items, I would expect the decor to be set up and in a timely matter.

My husband and I were no way pros at planning a wedding but the staff at The Legacy made sure we did everything we needed to in a timely manner, from food tasting, to ordering our cupcakes, to selecting booze and tablecloths, they were on it! Come wedding weekend all our guests enjoyed the staff and wanted me to also give a shoutout to Ty and he also worked both the rehearsal brunch and day of wedding. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, especially for sunset, and they are accommodating with space for both the bride and groom and the wedding party.

Not to mention the price compared to other venues was very reasonable. The packages they offer are great for every budget. Shatara was AMAZING. She also provided plenty of vendors for me when I asked for numerous suggestions (ALL of which were absolutely amazing). We were not from Arizona so the extra assistance was amazing. I could seriously not think of one thing that didn’t meet my exact vision which I communicated to Savanna a few times. She really understands the couples vision!! I received numerous compliments from guest regarding how helpful she was to them as well. Secondly, the venue itself is absolutely stunning. We barley needed to incorporate florals or decor because the venue alone was breathtaking. We had our ceremony at 5:30 at the Sierra Vista Lawn (which blocked the sun and was set up beautifully). Our cocktail hour was at the top of the hill on the golf course during the sunset and we had the most gorgeous pictures from that time. The guest were constantly coming up to us to tell us that at that moment they understood why we chose Arizona and this gorgeous venue. The reception was at the cart pad and was completely picture perfect. There was plenty of space for my guest and I was able to incorporate other activities besides a dance floor for guest to enjoy. Lastly, we did the full premium package with the venue and that included food and alcohol, as well as many other things (cake, tables, linens, etc.) I can’t even begin to tell you the amount of compliments I got on how the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. My guest were shocked that the food tasted as good as it did considering weddings don’t typically have the best food. I was also provided a plate at my sweetheart table which made it possible for my husband and I to enjoy our meal before we socialized with guest! There was barley ever a line for drinks, they were delicious, and they allowed me to incorporate my signature drinks with no problem. Not only were my husband and I beyond happy with how the day turned out, we have gotten countless compliments on how perfect the night was and how amazing the venue looked. It was a perfect night for us, but also a perfect night for all of our guest who traveled from Florida to celebrate with us. We wish we could redo the night all over again. Overall, I would recommend this venue to ANYONE. It really exceeded ALL of our expectations.

Everyone tells you to prepare yourself for things to go wrong on your wedding day but everything went absolutely perfect! I didn’t stress about anything! Not only was Savanna there for me but any staff member I came in contact with was willing to help with a smile on their face. Food was great too and they had lot of options for all guests! Sierra Vista was just so dreamy as the sun came down and peeked through the trees! Everyone kept telling us how stunning it looked while we had our first dance. I remember at one point I said to my newly husband that this was better than I ever could of pictured it. It’s been a little over a month now since our wedding and we still have guests reaching out to tell us how beautiful everything was. We even got a few “that was the best weeding I’ve ever been to”. I will be highly recommending this venue for the rest of my days!

For dinner, a little piece of beef and a tablespoon sized scoop of mashed potatoes (not even an ice cream sized scooper) and 2 asparagus per person then they were out of food. I am a light eater and it was not enough food for me so imagine how all the guys felt! I felt so embarrassed, and taken. The bread was also completely stale like it was left over from another wedding or from the restaurant? (Old bread gets kind of white when you break it and very STALE) Also the food manager lady, was defensive and rude. She even yelled at guests, just a group of older very kind aunt and uncles. I get it hospitality is tough but they really didn’t care how we it was for the guests. The vegetarian meals just sat in a cooler and the servers did not let the guests know that option was there for them either. The servers were teenagers which I get but they had no direction on how to do this task. Additionally, we paid 22% gratuity on the entire catering bill and they put a tip jar out without running that past us. Next was the actual wedding coordination, bare minimum communication and attention to detail. Our experience was getting handed back and forth and the person talking you through the details was not the same person actually coordinating day off or even week before. The spot they showed us to have our ceremony that we liked from the beginning, the day of they said no you can’t get married there bc there will be golfers. s perfect! Wedding was on the driving range, and reception in the Sierra Vista area. Katelyn and Savanna were on top of their game - covered everything and more, and did a phenomenal job! We decided on the Legacy because they had lodging, the wedding, reception and a wonderful 3 days all in one place. The cake was also included with the price as well as 2 night of a one-bedroom suite, lunch for bridal party and groomsmen. The Chef w as very good as well. Food was better than i expected. The ladies who worked the room reservation counter, Kelli and Amanda were also very accommodating. The did an excellent job in keeping our family in the same blg and friends close by! The Legacy is a lovely golf course, pool and great place to stay for a vaca in the Phoenix area. Very close to sky harbor airport. all the rooms are timeshares and have all the amenities. There was a hiccup on our end with some miscommunication about the rehearsal dinner that was also at the Legacy, and Savanna helped us out like it was no issue at all. She really made a huge effort to make our day the best it possibly could be, and I couldn’t recommend the Legacy more for your venue!

From several nights on property, to drinks and sandwiches for our bridal party, to a delicious meal and open bar, and even late night snacks!! People were raving about how fun and entertaining our wedding location was-- thanks to the entire package we were offered! Most importantly, the Legacy offers you a wedding coordinator. Savanna is absolutely incredible! She also had an additional planner, Morgan, on the day of our wedding. Without them, we couldn't have had our dream wedding! From answering 1 million questions month after month, to helping us design our layout, to assisting with vendor recommendations and giving her honest opinion on anything we asked about, Savanna gives her all + 100% more! Not only that, she's an incredible designer! We gave her several tubs of decor and let her work her magic-- and our sweetheart table, cake table, and dining tables couldn't have been more beautiful! She took my "vibe/goals" and ran with them! We were so excited over how beautiful she made everything the day of our wedding! She stays calm under chaos, comes up with solutions to any problem, and guides all your vendors through the process so you don't have to worry about that extra stress! Savanna was kind and friendly and made us feel confident our wedding would be perfect. Our wedding day ended up being on an incredibly windy day in Phoenix, and she still made sure everything ran smoothly and looked incredible. The Legacy Golf Resort is the PERECT place to make all your outdoors-desert-boho wedding dreams come true. a little more complicated. Savanna was terrific through it all and helped make our day happen and beyond what we had imagined. What attracted us first to Legacy was their overall flexibility. After visiting a few wedding specific venues where their prices were flat and what they offered was what they offered- no real adjustments. Legacy allowed us to use what they had pricing wise- but then also adjust here and there to fit our budget. For example, if you do catering with them- yes you are paying for an appetizer, but Savanna allowed us to bring in our own appetizers after we paid for one with Legacy which saved us a lot of money there. Another simplistic item with Legacy is if you cater with them, it comes with a 2 night hotel stay (bridal suite the night before- turns into honeymoon suite the night of). Being on site for our wedding night made things easy to wrap up at the end of the night and not worrying about having to transport everywhere. Day of to-do's were also taken care of by Legacy. We were able drop off our table decor and and overall wedding decor with Savanna and she took care of it all- to the vision that we had created. Also- grooms room is a golf simulator room- something that truly sets Legacy apart for the grooms as most weddings that I have been apart of as a groomsmen, we are getting changed in a closet or just another hotel room. Without a doubt I would suggest Legacy to anyone- as Savanna will aim to create your dream wedding on the budget you have- no matter how big or small.

We chose this venue among others because of how impressed we were with Savanna, how gorgeous the venue was, and all that was included. We initially had booked the venue for 11/01/2020 for a normal, full-size wedding, however once Covid happened, we had to make the difficult decision to downsize our ceremony for 2020 and have the big ceremony in 2021. Thankfully, Savanna was extremely flexible and offered for us to use the Sierra Vista lawn for our small ceremony. She helped us make a day that could have been disappointing flawless, smooth, intimate, and better than we could have expected. We are SO excited to have round 2 next year and continue working with Savanna!

It really only takes a few minutes of meeting with Kelli to realize how talented she is. She is one of the most responsive, intelligent, reliable and supportive people I've ever met. We had a long engagement which we planned out-of-state and she answered every question (and there were many) clearly and immediately. It blows my mind how she makes you feel like your wedding is the only one she's working on when you clearly know she has a ton she's organizing! It was almost 110 degrees on our wedding day, but the staff was still so amazing and accommodating despite being out in the heat all day. More than half of our guests traveled from out of town and stayed at the resort. Everyone appreciated being close to the venue and the golf cart shuttles. I've had multiple people tell me it was the most beautiful wedding they have every been to. I would not hesitate to recommend the Legacy to anyone couple looking to get married.

I had been to other venues before The Legacy, and did not receive the warmth, compassion, and intuitive understanding of my vision as I did at The Legacy and with Kelli. Kelli was absolutely incredible the entire planning process. She communicated with me and my family (in the most timely fashion I have ever experienced) through phone, text, emailing, and above all, continued to reassure me to take care of myself and leave the rest to her and her team. Kelli wasn't only there to make my wedding the boho-rustic-gardeny dream I had envisioned, but she provided comfort and empathy when the crazy bride in me needed it most! My wedding day was MORE than I thought I wanted; it was absolutely gorgeous and I cannot think of one thing I would've changed. My family and friends did not want to leave at the end of the night and have ranted and raved about how much fun and how beautiful our wedding was. I have received countless comments from my husband, family, and friends about how stinkin' fabulous/wonderful/helpful/amazing Kelli was throughout the whole process, and how PERFECT The Legacy was for a wedding. When I came back to work following the wedding, I had multiple MALE co-workers asking me about the venue in regard to possible future weddings for them!
