I'll never forget the night a dream was put on my heart to build my first venue in Louisburg, The Haven Event Space. After many years, endless studying, prayers, tears, and straight up figure-it-out mentality, The Haven Event Space became a reality and was quickly an award winning top Kansas City venue! The immediate success of my first venue made it clear I HAD to open another one! I found the incredible Historic Post Office in Ottawa, and the moment I saw it, I knew... this is it! After a small renovation to freshen up this already amazing space, we rebranded and opened as The Lincoln! The name has significant meaning since my first son is named Lincoln, but fun fact, President Abraham Lincoln's first government job was at a Post Office! It was the PERFECT fit for us! I can't wait to meet you and show you our amazing space.

The best and most unique wedding venue! We got compliments all day and night on our wedding day of guests adoring the venue. On top of that, the venue coordinator, Christine, and owner, Blake, are amazing and truly care about every detail of your wedding. PLUS, there are NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES. The only wedding venue we saw that didn’t have additional charges left and right.

We had our wedding at the Lincoln 10/11/24 and it was truly the best day.!
The entire process from start to end was flawless. Blake and Christine are so friendly and helpful. From the first time we met them they made us feel comfortable and confident. My husband and I are both so grateful for the Lincoln and their entire crew for making our day absolutely perfect!

We had our 10/04/2024 wedding at The Lincoln and 12/10 recommend the event space, the team and the vibes. Christine was a life saver from the beginning. We had originally had a contract at The Bowery, which closed down due to financial / tax issues. Christine saved the day, credited us the deposit we lost on the original venue and honored the bar package pricing we had from before. Every one of our vendors was so pleased when they found out we picked the Lincoln as our new venue. The Lincoln team is the best in the business and truly care about their clients.
The space itself is one of a kind. The care and detail the Lincoln team put into renovations is unparalleled. Our guests loved the speakeasy, the antique audio guest book phone, the digital photobooth and the historic feel of the entire place. The entire building smells like a W or Westin hotel - which if you know, you know it's like walking into a vacation. I cannot recommend this place enough. You will have a truly unique wedding experience if you choose The Lincoln. We can't wait to relive our day through the photos and videos - it was the best day of our lives!

First off the venue was breathtaking, then you add the power duo of Blake and Christine and you just couldn't go wrong! From their communication, to pre-planning, responsiveness and preparation it was completely smooth. I loved that everything was included in the price. The mirror photo booth was a huge hit, and my daughter loved the uniqueness of an audio guestbook. I would definitely work again with them at any of their venues!

From the beginning to the end, everyone at The Lincoln was so amazing and helpful! Anytime I had a question for Blake and/or Christine, they answered within hours and were always so kind. Even texting with Christine about random questions regarding the venue, she was always so prompt. The Lincoln was the perfect space for our amount of people, and everyone was so complimentary of the architecture and beautiful touches that Blake and his team made. Having a Photo Booth at my wedding was always a dream of mine, and The Lincoln has the coolest mirror like Photo Booth with different options to choose from regarding the style and monogram. Planning a wedding can obviously be stressful but with every meeting I had with Blake and Christine, I felt so much more calm and at ease. I had a very unique set up in mind with both round and rectangle tables for our guests, and they made it happen exactly the way I imagined it with plenty of room for the dance floor still. They offered everything I could imagine and more for my wedding. It was the best day ever, and I wouldn't change anything about the day!

We were married November 11, 2023. When we found out our venue closed unexpectedly just 9 days before our big day, we thought we would have to give up a lot of what we wanted and had already planned. The Lincoln Event Space not only came to our rescue but went above and beyond to help deliver the most magical day even though it meant an unusual timeline, a somewhat chilly ceremony setup, and quick inside flip. Not only is the space unique and beautiful but all of the staff was kind and courteous. Our favorite details - the courtyard, natural light, unique history, speakeasy, and in-house decor. Their space and amenities set them apart while their service makes them shine creating an overall wonderful experience. When they found out there was a Veterans Day Parade that started at the same time as our coffee hour, Blake obtained as much information as possible including an alternate arrival route for our guests. They communicated clearly, were very responsive to our questions and worked closely with our wedding planner to basically plan a wedding in less than a week. Our wedding day ended up being more than we could have ever imagined and it wouldn’t have been possible without The Lincoln and their staff. Further, Ottawa is a great, accepting community - all of our guests had a good experience with hotel accommodations, getting around town, and the local shops. We highly recommend The Lincoln Event Space for your event needs.

The Historic Post Office was amazing. It has the perfect elegant, vintage, classy vibe we were looking for when looking at vendors. Our favorite part was the speakeasy. We also loved the flow of how the wedding guests would get to see the whole venue by starting in the garden area, then going to the speakeasy for cocktail hour and lastly up to the ballroom for the reception. It was also the perfect size for our 60 ish wedding. Lastly, we really enjoyed the getting ready suites that are also at the venue. You literally have everything there so you don’t have to travel anywhere else on your wedding day.
Next, Brooke and her team were amazing. She always answered my many questions within a good timeframe. She also made us feel very confident that we were in good hands on our wedding day. We trusted her with a lot and she did not disappoint.
Lastly, the venue itself was just absolutely amazing. Our photos and video we received came out extraordinary. We had an incredible photographer but the venue speaks for itself. Our photographer had so many options/locations to take photos of us. Also, we didn’t need to decorate a lot because of what the venue already offers.
You will not be disappointed with this venue and team. They are extremely organized and they communicate so well. They made our day amazing and we couldn’t ask for anything else.

The Historic Post Office was one of the best decisions we could have made when planning our wedding. We loved everything about having them as our venue. Everyone who works there is so helpful, professional and kind. Our guests were raving about how unique and classy it is! As an Ottawa local, I was so happy to have my wedding in my hometown. Every time I think about HPO it's hard to pick my favorite part. We got married in the garden area and it was absolutely gorgeous. The ballroom is the most beautiful and open space. And the speakeasy speaks for itself with the coolest and classiest vibes. If you're considering booking with them - just do it!

If I could give HPO a 10-star review I would! We got married at the HPO on 9/24 and it was by far one of the best days of our lives. With a husband that is not impressed by much, he was floored by how beautiful it was. The vendor lists they offer, to the à la carte list for packages, to the staff, you could not ask for better. I worked with Madeline and let me tell you, SHE IS THE BEST!! She was always responsive, thoughtful and willing to do whatever we needed to make our day special. I can't express enough how much she took off my plate. I know for sure without her, our day would not have been as amazing as it was. I would absolutely recommend HPO for any events :)

We loved this venue from the moment we walked into the building. It is elegant and well priced for the service they provide. We had numerous comments from family and friends about how much they enjoyed the venue. We searched all over Kansas City and couldn't find anything quite like this venue & at this price. This venue was amazing from the very beginning, very welcoming throughout the tour and wedding day. My original wedding date was canceled because my fiancé got covid a day before the wedding, Tony and Brooke were so accommodating and let me reschedule a new date at no cost. They were so supportive and kind. The venue with all the different locations and included chairs/tables/venue coordinator was so worth it and made my day perfect. Brooke was amazing and made communication so easy and helped to ensure my wedding ran smoothly.

The Historic Post Office was amazing and absolutely perfect. It is a gorgeous venue with a group of amazing professionals who were more than helpful. I was the MOB with lots of questions…….and every text and email was answered promptly with perfect detail. I felt certain they could read my mind and could see my vision and helped make the dream come true. More importantly, the Post Office was my daughters dream venue. Elegant and beautiful! I will never be able to express my sincere gratitude to everyone at the Historic Post Office for their part in our beautiful day.

Every moment leading up to my wedding went so smoothly thanks to the AMAZING staff at the Historic Post Office. Wedding day I was full of peace knowing that everything was taken care of thanks to Brooke! Everyone I spoke with and worked with at the Historic Post Office was incredibly kind and had great wisdom to offer as I put the event together. On top of incredible staff, the venue itself is truly a hidden gem of Kansas. This venue space has wonderful tall ceilings, which gives the space an open feeling that a lot of other indoor venues lack. It is very modern and has minimalist art deco details that decorate all throughout! There is also a beautiful outdoor garden that could be used for your main space or a private first look. If you are hoping for a venue space that has it all, you want to come here!

The Historic Post Office was absolutely amazing! The venue is gorgeous and elegant. The speakeasy is sophisticated and hip. The combination of the two made for the perfect wedding day. We received so many compliments from our guests on the choice of venue. The day flowed seamlessly between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our main contact, Tony Fisher, always made himself available to answer all our questions. He was so vital to success of our wedding planning, especially during covid. The venue coordinator, Brooke Fearka, walked us through everything the week of the wedding and then did an amazing job coordinating the day of with her partner Sage. The day could not have gone smoother and thats all thanks to the fantastic staff at the Historic Post Office. I recommend the Historic Post Office to anyone considering choosing them. It was possibly the best decision of our wedding planning.

First off, the Venue itself is STUNNING!! As for the staff, I cannot say enough good things! Andrea, Brooke & Sage were hands on from the moment the bridal party and I arrived. Making sure all the little details were taken care of and us girls had all we needed!! I had many detailed & pleasant conversations with Tony as we navigated through rescheduling and restrictions with a Covid wedding.
I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this venue and staff to every engaged couple. There isn’t a detail we would or could have changed to make the day any better!! :)

Unfortunately, The Historic Post Office was our dream wedding for our wedding on NYE. After sudden and suspicious change of ownership, the original staff was changed and the price of the venue skyrocketed "due to 2021 price changes." The new management was unwilling to work with us and attempted to change our original contract and charge us almost $6000 more than our original contractual agreement. Due to their unforeseen "new 2021 charges" in the middle of a pandemic, my partner and I were forced to completely change the date of our wedding. Disappointment is an understatement. Beautiful space, but untrustworthy new management.

Having our wedding here was the best decision we made! TJ (and the staff) made it effortless and everyone was so quick to help us with anything we needed. My husband and I weren't stressed (which I was worried we would be) and we were completely taken care of from the moment we arrived for the day to the moment we left. We still have family and friends telling us it was one of the most beautiful venues they've been to for a wedding. (PS definitely take advantage of the honeymoon suite right across the street! So perfect!)

My husband and I just held our wedding ceremony and reception at The Historic Post Office on 10-5-19. This was the best decision we made during our wedding planning. For starters, the venue is absolutely beautiful and unique. Everywhere you look, you notice a new piece of detail. We did very little decorating, because the space truly speaks for itself. We had several guests throughout the night rave to us about how amazing the venue was. My husband was very excited about the groom's room with a large tv so they could watch college football while getting ready. The bridal suite was beautiful and elegant, came with mimosas and even an emergency kit should we have forgotten anything. What made this venue all the more special was the staff. I cannot say enough good things about TJ, the event coordinator who worked with us since day one. We owe everything to him honestly. He was available whenever we needed him, even a year in advance. For the entirety of our rehearsal and our wedding day, TJ was the most helpful person. He met every request any of us could have made with a "we'll make it happen" attitude and made sure everything was exactly as my husband and I had hoped. He was there to make sure everything ran smoothly and that nobody in my family so much as had to lift a finger. He completed all the decorating of the space and met us the following morning with all of our belongings packed up and helped us load them into our car. The Post Office also provided a one on one assistant for the day, Jamie. She was amazing and by our side all day to make our plates, get us drinks and to help me carry my bouquet or dress. All night, we had guests approach us with how impressed they were with the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff here. I am so truly grateful that we were able to host our wedding at The Historic Post Office!

I honestly don't even know where to start. This was the absolute BEST venue. TJ the event coordinator truly goes out of his way to make every detail perfect. He never one time made me feel like I was bothering him with all of my calls and text messages for a year of planning! He made himself available whenever I needed him. He even took time out of his day the next day after the wedding to DELIVER all of our decorations to our house because we couldn't come back to the venue to get them. Also this venue is so incredibly beautiful! It has every amenity you could ask for and then some. We had a day of attendant that helped us out SO much! She had our drinks and food at the table before we came in, held my dress and bouquet multiple times and even got my flip flops for me when my feet hurt! She was truly amazing. All of my guests raved all night about how perfect the space was. I think I will be back for some other occasions if not for me than some friends getting married!!! I will recommend them to everyone!

The team at the Historic Post Office has been incredible to work with. They are quick to answer questions and give suggestions. They listened to what we wanted and made sure they could do it. The space is gorgeous! Our photographer is excited about all the natural light from the floor to ceiling windows and we're excited about enjoying a happy hour after the ceremony with our guests in the speak easy.

We are having our reception here in September and I can't wait! The venue is gorgeous and the staff has been amazing to work with! Erica was so helpful in helping us visualize what our reception could be. My favorite thing is that they take care of almost everything the day of the event so you are able to enjoy the day stress free. I could not recommend this place more!

We had our ceremony and reception at this venue. It is absolutely beautiful and very spacious. The renovations of this historic building are gorgeous and timeless. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. I especially loved working with TJ, as he was very laid back and helped our big day go smoothly. The bridal attendant was also fabulous. Cannot say enough great things about this venue.
