We had our wedding reception at The Cornhusker hotel in July 2022 and we are so glad we did! The staff there was great and our reception was absolutely gorgeous! They really help make your reception be as stress-free as possible. The pricing is a bit high if you were to compare it to other caterers or venues, but you get what you pay for and that's a beautiful reception & well-taken care of bride & groom + guests! We had several out-of-state guests and all were very pleased with their stay there as well. Would highly recommend The Cornhusker for a wedding reception venue!

The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel is a large and versatile wedding venue in Lincoln, NE. In these premises, you can make use of a wide range of event spaces and amenities to help bring your wedding vision to life. This venue's staff will be on hand to attend to the details and help you live out your wedding dreams.
You will have ample choice of event spaces in The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel, with a total event area of more than 38,000 square feet. The sophisticated Grand Ballroom is the single largest of these spaces, with 10,545 square feet. Up to 760 guests may be seated for a banquet in this elegant room or up to 1,000 for a reception. Additionally, the Grand Ballroom can be split into smaller areas to meet the needs of different group sizes. The Lancaster Ballroom offers room for up to 250 people in an elegant setting that is less expansive than the Grand Ballroom. You can also make use of the Outdoor Courtyard for celebrations of up to 150 people. There is also a wide variety of rooms throughout the hotel suitable for festivities of varying scope.

My experience as mother of the bride for a reception at The Cornhusker Marriott included enough negatives that I would not recommend this venue. Firstly, it is very costly. While ...
they like to say there is no charge for use of the reception hall, the price for most everything else is very overpriced. The food was especially mediocre for the price. There are several taxes, service charges, and arena charges on the food and beverages in the fine print that the actual price is much higher than they quote. They charge for nearly everything including the use of extension cords, floor length table clothes and extra any color linens. Very little variety is included in what they offer for free in decor, so don't be fooled in thinking that you'll save money with their decor. It is boring and you will want more. We paid for a buffet for a rehearsal but they would not allow us to take any of the leftovers. Evidentially they are just fine with throwing away the food that you paid for. At the reception, We had a couple guests, one who was feeling ill and needed to go to her room at the hotel, request to have a to go box for the meal she hadn't eaten. They refused to give her a to go box. The Kids meal prices were around $20. When one toddler was having a rough time and needed to go to the hotel room for a while, the staff refused to give them a to go box for the expensive kids meal. I found them to be very inflexible. 5 days before the wedding a couple had to cancel due to having Covid, but I guess 5 days was not enough notice and we were charged for the 2 meals anyway. The potato portion of the meal was so small that one could finish it with 2-3 small bites-as the host, it was embarassing, I don't know how many wedding coordinators they have on staff, but ours was not especially friendly the day before and of the wedding. She acted as if she was bothered by any request we made. On what should be a happy exciting time, she appeared to be annoyed. I don't think I saw her laugh or smile. I was a guest at another wedding there recently and noticed that she had the same "I'm not happy to be here" look on her face. While she was good about responding to emails and informing us about deadlines for needed information, I would prefer to work with someone who seemed to enjoy her job. I'd prefer to work with a company that recognizes we are giving them thousands of dollars for over priced food and drinks, so they don't need to charge us for an extra extension cord we need.

maybe 10 minutes instead of the full 30 minutes like they kept stating. This was due to another couple that we waited on for 45 minutes due to no one monitoring the stair case to make sure everyone got there chance. We also had another issues with one our tables not being served until they found my husband to inform him, which was towards the end of everyone’s plates getting picked up. Like I said besides those downfalls it was beautiful and the food was very good.

d, it was a no-brainer to choose this venue. Patrick, Nick, Jana, and Irish helped us work out not only the ceremony space, but also cocktail hour and the reception. Nick coordinated rooms for bride/groom getting-ready and a hospitality room as well. They even notified us of another large Lincoln event and recommended a large room block because they knew hotel rooms would be of short supply. We had a delightful food tasting, which allowed us to choose our favorite appetizers/dinner and the chef was friendly and very accommodating to our needs. Even the smallest requested details were acknowledged, having water in the getting-ready rooms, luggage transported from room to room, being greeted with a beverage immediately after the ceremony, having wedding gifts transported to a secure location after the ceremony, extra food packaged into a mini-fridge in the honeymoon suite in case we didn't have time to eat dinner, cake/decor stored until the next day, and we were surprised with a dessert plate upon arriving to our room as a married couple with personal congratulatory notes from the staff. We were spoiled for the after-wedding breakfast with Maisy as our server, who kept high spirits even before we had our coffee AND served in a timely fashion for guests who were heading out of town. We are honored to have our historic photo as Mr. and Mrs. on THE staircase! Thank you to everyone involved in our event, it was better than a fairytale.

to the day was organized, and he made sure everything we wanted would be included in our day. He always answered emails, and set up meetings with us whenever I wanted them. The staff on the night of the reception was incredibly helpful, and did everything they could to make the night go smoothly. They handle weddings all the time so they truly are experts! My only complaint was my husband and I were supposed to receive the bridal suite for the night of the reception, but we were placed in a normal room, my guess was they were overbooked for the night. Despite that I would definitely recommend having your reception at the Cornhusker!

After we signed the contract he paired us with Nick Sanders who was thee best! He made sure to keep in contact ith us when something important was needed. He answered our emails so quickly. Everything went so smoothly on our big day. I cant say enough great things about the Cornhusker Marriott.

e live in Kansas City, so scheduling times to meet wasn't always easy. However, the combination of Nicholas, Patrick and Anna always did an amazing job to work with us. Leading up to our wedding day, they were on top of everything including specific food preferences, guest rooms, dressing rooms, etc. The morning of, the reception room came together in a timely and professional fashion. Every employee was extremely respectful, and everyone ensured that we had everything we needed. I can say without a doubt that our wedding day would not have run as smoothly as it did if we had went with a venue other than the Cornhusker. The wedding coordinators and staff truly understand the time, effort and stress that goes into planning a wedding, and they do everything in their power to relieve that stress to help you enjoy the day.

Also, I want to give a HUGE thank you to the banquet's coordinator, Caitlyn, who went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure that my night was everything that I wanted it to be. She was quick to solve any issues that came up and went out of her way time and time again to check on me and ensure that I was having the best night. The employee's involved with our special day were amazing, respectful, and incredibly professional. of their way to help us. We used a conference room for the bridal party dressing room--the space was large and the hotel team provided a perfect lunch selection (sandwiches were so yummy). The shuttle driver and team responded to last minute timing changes and they were really fun and gracious. We highly recommend using the Cornhusker for any/all wedding needs (or football game weekends too)!

s. Mary (Wedding Coordinator) did an awesome job of answering all of our questions and making sure we felt comfortable throughout the planning. They gave us storage for everything extra we needed to bring in. We received so many compliments from our guests on the food and service. The convenience of having the hotel rooms and reception in the same spot was wonderful. We would recommend having your wedding reception here.

assigned wedding coordinator and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. She took care of everything, made sure we were on track with our planning and was always just a quick phone-call or email away if we needed something. Did I mention that she helped me bustle my dress because we couldn't get it figured out? That definitely isn't in her job description! Jason made sure the whole evening went super smoothly and that we had everything we needed, he even greeted us at our party bus with drinks in hand...talk about customer service! The big selling feature for us was that they took all of the stress away. The Cornhusker staff set up the room for us, cleaned up after the event, helped us move our gifts into another room for the night and got us anything anything and everything that we asked for. They even added extra details to our decorations that truly made everything come together perfectly. We felt so honored to be able to have our wedding reception at the Cornhusker!

excitement while planning our event. They were very accomdating and made their best effort to give us everything we wanted and more. The day went off without a hitch and we were very happy with the results. Wih the black tie package, our guests were taken care of from the moment they walked in the door. We had many compliments from our guests about the wonderful night. The food was superb and the staff exemplary. The event team set up all of our decorations and took care of clean up so it was truly a stress free night! We would recommend this venue for any couple!

One thing I liked was being able to control what your costs add up too! You can pick you food choices as well as hosted alcohol to personalize your wedding to exactly what you want! We were able to bring in dry foods for cocktail hour which made for a fun popcorn bar and sweets table! They set up everything and take everything down for you which leads to a very relaxing and stress free wedding day!! the honeymoon suite they put the bride and groom in, is to die for!!

We selected the Cornhusker Hotel for our wedding block because it was nearby our reception hall and it was extremely reasonably priced for our guests.
They were very accommodating...
and kept us informed of upcoming deadlines for our guests so that we could send out reminders.
Very nice, updated rooms and the beds are incredibly comfortable!

and he was AMAZING. He totally has everything under control, is organized, and is extremely speedy with answering questions. He is like having your own wedding coordinator. He had contacted all of my vendors, got a timeline, scheduling, and everything was PERFECT. It was the perfect place for an elegant and romantic wedding. The grandballroom was turned into exactly what I could have dreamed for. The Cornhusker was so nice, organized, and so helpful. They also catered our meal and it was fantastic. The head cook and another cook carried my meal, my husbands, and both our parents meals while we went through the buffet. It was very sweet.
