The Links was an absolutely stunning location for our wedding reception. Our guest count was 135 and everyone fit super comfortably. We loved that the dance floor was in the middle of the ballroom, which enabled more guests to see the dancing and participate, as the dance floor is big.
This venue is all-inclusive; they do the food and serve the alcohol, which is huge in terms of saving time looking for a caterer and hiring external bartenders. There is also decor that comes with the place, so if you don't want to purchase every little detail of your table decor, they have some beautiful options! They also have color options for napkins and tablecloths, which provides great flexibility when it comes to designing the space and making it beautiful. While the setting is amazing, that's not what I want to highlight - the team at the Links is absolutely incredible. Allysa and her team were the best coordinators that I could have asked for. Allysa was very thorough in the months leading up to the wedding and made sure all expectations were laid out and that my husband and I knew our options. The day of the wedding, Allysa and her team made sure that the guests were taken care of, and when the bridal party arrived, they had food and water available for us before we got our pictures on the golf course. The reception went by without a hitch; everything was smooth from my perspective as the bride. Allysa was on top of the timing that we'd discussed and her team kept things moving along perfectly. Allysa was also excellent about communication, not just with me but with my other vendors. She was able to give them the lay of the land, which took a burden off of me. My wedding day was beautiful and pretty easy, and a major part of that is due to Allysa and her team at the Links.
Apologies for the very late review. My husband and I got married there July of 2023. First of all, 10/10 Highly Recommend!!!!
Venue
A bit about The Links at Gettysburg- they are an all inclusive venue! They have catering, bar, cake, set up, clean up, and venue coordinator all in one package! You can also pick and choose a lot! It's definitely a hidden gem! The venue itself is beautifully taken care of! It has a gorgeous outside patio and also the inside is lovely..even the bathrooms were amazing!
Venue Coordinator
Alyssa the venue coordinator is the best of the best!!! She was nothing short of amazing. She was able to set up everything we needed to a tee. She was highly available and phenomenal at taking care of our needs. She is truly one of a kind! Just a highlight, we had a Korean Ceremony, Dollar/shot dance with Korean alcohol, Pittsburgh cookie table, champagne toast etc and she coordinated everything beautifully. This wedding would not have been the same without her
Food
We had the dual entree- Crab stuffed fish with ribeye steak and asparagus with hollandaise. Everything was cooked to perfection and we highly enjoyed the food! This was the best wedding food we have had and it happened to be our own wedding! We were extremely surprised how delicious everything was and guests could not stop raving about the food! Hats off to the chef!
Vendor Coordination
There is special perks with this venue! They have a contact with a Fireworks Vendor! We were able to have professional fireworks at our wedding! It was such a hit and one that meant a lot to my husbands family! We saw fireworks we never seen before (heart shaped etc) and the show went on for over 10-15 minutes! Well worth it the price!
I feel like I'm missing so much, but Alyssa was a part of our life for more than a year and a few months and she truly became more like family. I cannot recommend how seamless The Links at Gettysburg was! We had a truly beautiful wedding reception thanks to Alyssa and her team!
Alyssa was amazing to work with! We had our wedding 9/16/23 and she was so great at keeping on track with planning! The venue was gorgeous and our family and friends could not stop talking about the views! Alyssa was so easy to get in contact with and flexible and helped us creat the perfect wedding day!
We booked our wedding with the Links two years ago for 9/23/23. Due to circumstances, we had to move our wedding date up. We got married on 6/17/23 and Allysa and the staff did absolutely amazing accommodating everything we needed. The venue was beautiful. The staff worked incredibly hard all night to make sure our day was amazing! The food was great! Everyone was happy. The kindness and knowledge of the staff made everything go smoothly. We had a beautiful and amazing day we will never forget! 10/10 would recommend every single day.
Alyssa was fantastic as our coordinator and extremely personable. The venue came with an assorted array of décor items of which you can utilize and also will setup any items you bring to enhance your theme. Chef Subarna was very flexible with his menu, to the point of creating things he had never created before (per couple request) and the dishes were still delicious. The venue also has the scenery to capture some amazing photography of your big day, as it did ours, from pictures that can capture you looking out over the mountainous horizon, to a quaintly located stone arch bridge. Cakes by Susie was provided to us through The Links. We were provided with an included tasting of the cakes, and they were nothing short of delicious. She was very flexible in what we wanted baked (cakes and cupcakes) and had a large selection of designs for you to consider. The entirety of the staff went above and beyond to make our day go as perfectly and seamlessly as possible. We would highly recommend that you consider this venue as your wedding destination.
I got married here last month and it was a dream. The property is beautiful, the catering is delicious, everything from linens to dishes to some decor was included, and the coordinator Allysa is AMAZING. Seriously my wedding day was perfect and I credit so much of that to her and her staff. She helped plan with us along the way and made sure we needed, wanted, and worried about nothing the day of. And the prices were truly more affordable than anything else we looked at within an hour radius. Get married here, you won’t regret it.
Just recently had our wedding at this venue and it was absolutely amazing and all around a great fun night. Allysa was our wedding coordinator here and she was the biggest help with all the planning. Spent the whole night with no issues. Everything went very smoothly. Highly recommend coming here.
The Links was fantastic! Everyone there was very helpful, organized and professional! I didn’t have to worry about anything. Tony the chef was great! The food was fantastic! Alyssa the planner at The Links was absolutely the best! There was nothing left out, she was so in tune to our wedding! She is the very best.
We are in the process of planning our wedding and toured The Links at Gettysburg. Allysa has been a dream to work with so far! She has been very transparent throughout the entire process and comes with years of experience. The views at The Links are breathtaking. The package price is worth every penny. They have recently updated several areas including the getting ready area for the bride. It is simply gorgeous!
We just booked our wedding for next year at The Links and we are so excited! Allysa has been so helpful with the entire process so far! We are from Gettysburg and have been to weddings here before and would recommend to anyone and is why we chose here.
Thank you to the entire staff for giving my daughter and her husband the best day ever. A big thanks to Allysa the event coordinator for making the entire planning process seamless, you are amazing and we are forever greatful!
The Links at Gettysburg was the best decision we made! Their venue was amazing and recently renovated, and their service was over the top. The Bridal suite was so amazing and gave us plenty of space to get ready. They took care of everything for us. Allysa our wedding coordinator was amazing. She literally took care of EVERYTHING. Our rehearsal was a breeze because of her and our ceremony went off just as planned, if not, better. Thank you for making our day PERFECT! I would recommend to anyone!
My husband and I got married at the Links in November 2019, and we can't recommend this venue to others in good conscience. I go into the whole story below, but in short, their management is a mess. Links management made our planning process stressful and confusing by letting go of an amazing coordinator for a cheaper, inexperienced alternative and having a shocking absence of communication through the process.
We visited the Links because it's a pretty venue, but we chose them because of their then-wedding-coordinator Karen Pennington. She has an amazing reputation in the local wedding industry and a rich history of happy couples. Her warm demeanor assured us that she would care about our wedding day as much as we did, so we signed on with the Links.
Unfortunately, halfway into our planning process, the Links chose to let go of Karen in favor of filling the role with their contracted catering company (The Carriage House). The Links announced this by making Karen send us an email, with no information on how the new contact would handle the transition. Links management themselves never reached out to us about this. We had our food tasting scheduled at the time, and the new contact (let's call her Jane) wasn't reaching out to us at all to confirm this meeting or any other planning details. So, we gave Jane a call to review our progress and confirm our meeting. She seemed unfamiliar with the details of our event and literally hung up the phone on us. We researched Jane's background with wedding coordination, and it turned out she had none. This, combined with reviews that Jane was botching weddings, had us very worried.
We did have our tasting with Jane, but never heard from her again. We had a meeting with the Links general manager to express our concerns, to which he essentially said "don't worry." We were losing confidence in the Links, so not wanting to lose all of our planning progress, we hired Karen on as our independent coordinator. We needed someone experienced to advocate for our event's success. We never did hear from Jane again, so I'm not sure what ever happened there.
I'm assuming other couples had the same concerns we did, because the Links awkwardly signed Karen back on (essentially as a freelancer) just to finish the weddings she had started. Even though this situation was confusing and awkward, Karen is a gem and executed our planning flawlessly.
HOWEVER a week before our wedding, the Links again terminated their agreement with Karen. They would let her be there on the day for coordination but wouldn't let her do the last minute aspects of planning. They also fired their general manager before this with no plan for a new one (and never communicated it to us). So, a week before our wedding we were left with no actual contact from the Links (no general manager, coordinator, or other kind of representative).
On the day of, Karen was there to run the event, but no one from the Links was present. Despite their shoddy management, the wedding ultimately turned out well, but only at the hands of Karen.
Since their agreement is over, Karen isn't there in any capacity anymore, and I honestly don't know if any coordinator is (since no one ever reached out us). Due to their bad staffing decisions and nonexistent communication, I can't recommend the Links as a wedding venue.
Went to a wedding here on 10/5/19. Beautiful place, food was great, however the coordinator was not friendly and not accomodating to the wedding party. Do not think this is the job for her. This is a shame because it ruins the experience for everyone. I felt bad for the bride and the bridesmaids, and wedding party, as I was closely involved and saw first hand the actions and attitude of the coordinator. This is a beautiful place for a wedding...so do what you can to fix this problem and I feel it will be a successful wedding venue.
To make things short and sweet- the venue and the "wedding coordinator" are incompetent. Do not get married here. Their service has gone downhill. We eventually had set up a time to meet, after Billy Jo never returned my emails. (should have been the first clue). My fiance, his parents and I all went. We liked the venue and Billy Jo was very nice. After that, it went downhill. We decided to book with them, and it took 2 weeks plus to even get a response about a contract. She said she would send it and never did. Things happen very fast in this industry and you have to be quick and responsive. It also does not instill confidence in a Bride, when you cannot even send the contract! This should be something that is very easy for a venue. After I sent her a long email about how disappointing this was, and how we needed the contract ASAP, so we could start booking other vendors, she replied with "Let me check with Jason". I don't even know who Jason is. I ended up calling the venue and spoke to Jason. He was apologetic and offered some things to help, but the main problem was Billy Jo. I could not imagine having to work with her for our wedding day. We ultimately found a much better place. DO NOT USE THIS VENUE. They may have had a better coordinator before, but they do not have the same level of service anymore.
Beyond this being a beautiful scenic venue (especially for the fall colors), the staff that works here truly makes hosting an event at the Links at Gettysburg such an exceptional experience. I started my journey with wedding planning in December of 2016 for our wedding in October of 2018 - in that time period we went through 3 day-of wedding coordinators. Albeit, not originally ideal when I started planning, but I will say I am extremely grateful for Billy Jo stepping in as our final day-of coordinator in the last two months prior to our wedding date. Billy Jo and her staff were on top of everything for the day-of details, and handled any mix-up with finesse (so well, that I'll be honest, I didn't hear of ANY mix ups occurring - only assuming that, like most weddings, they likely happened). My husband and I have not stopped receiving compliments from guests regarding the choice in venue, and delight from loved ones regarding how well they helped with packing up our belongings at the end of the night.
I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a good mix of outdoor space and indoor comforts. The floor plan is not a conventional ballroom - it's more like a great room of a home, which to me offers a cozier vibe for your guests. The floor plan is smartly laid out so those who want to step away from the dance floor, have enough space to spread out and have a private conversation while onlooking the festivities. The ladies' room offers a private suite with plenty of mirrors for brides that may need a wardrobe change during the reception. Also the restrooms (at least for the ladies' room) have separate rooms (not stalls) for each toilet, which I felt added to the "home like" feel, rather than a bland/cold commercial appearance.
Also another perk with this venue is it has EVERYTHING you need in one place. Tables, chairs, linens, bar, food, and cake options, as well as plenty of other add-ons (e.g. fire pit, satellite bar, dessert stations) all under one contract. I found that far more favorable for planning a wedding than having to keep track of 3-5+ vendors.
Good luck to all the future brides out there! Most valuable advice I got while planning is to ENJOY your day!
We were married on 10.13.18 at this venue. After the experience we had with the coordinator, management I highly highly recommend not getting married at this venue!!
Many things in our contract were never fulfilled. We were advised that they would have an Instagram and snapchat account dedicated to our wedding. They would compile all pictures and put same on a CD for us. Extra pictures sounds good right? Well we were told the day before our wedding this would not happen because the accounts were locked and not accessible. Well I’m glad Billy Jo figured this out a day before our wedding we met her in September this should have been corrected beforehand. We were advised we would get two free golf games for using this venue. Well it’s November 8th and still did not receive any golf games. In the contract the rear patio was supposed to be lit and tiki torches were also supposed to be available. Well it was not lit at all and was pitch dark outside. It was a shame because I wanted to get a bonfire but since no lights were on, nobody went outside other than people to smoke or Billy Jo to talk on her phone. Servers were supposed to have on white gloves for the formal event, did not happen
The wedding coordinator:
Billy Jo wore a white blouse on the wedding day, which my wife did not like at all. We would not expect an experienced wedding coordinator to wear white to a wedding. Furthermore, we have pictures of her in the background wearing the white blouse, she told Bonnie, the owner of the venue she did not wear white and had a red sweater on which clearly she did not. Billy Jo cannot take any negative feedback and has an integrity issue. Well she blamed the previous wedding coordinator on all of her own mistakes. At the end of the night of our wedding, Billy Jo told my wife that there would be a wedding on the following day, October 14, 2018. She stated to Heather for us to get our belongings by 10am or else our gifts, decorations, etc would be placed outside. Well our checkout for the hotel was not until noon but we did get there at 11:15 and sure enough our stuff was put outside the venue in the rain. Also this venue is on a golf course so there were many guests in the area on golf carts and also people for the wedding that would be later that day on the facility. Our belongings were left outside unsecured some were gifts with money inside same. We never received a phone call to check when we would be there and there was plenty of rooms our belongings could have been put so it was secured.
We also had to find our wedding coordinator numerous times and multiple guests saw her outside talking on her cellphone. Our photographer, bridesmaid had to track her down on numerous occasions. We also were advised that they would have a cake cutter for us to utilize for the cake. Well time came to cut the cake, Billy Jo was nowhere to be found and then gave us a BUTTER KNIFE to cut our cake. Once again did not do her job to make sure it was available beforehand!
We had other issues on our wedding day but not enough room here to type them all. We notified the owner, Bonnie of our complaints. Well to sum it up they overcharged us on food and drinks which was corrected. All these complaints we had and Bonnie was not willing to correct these problems we had. Just a we are sorry but the venue was paid they will not care about your concerns. To correct this we were given $200 which is unacceptable! I don't Recommend. at all!!
What an incredible venue! It was absolutely perfect for our wedding and we loved our wedding coordinator, Karen Pennington and her staff! They made our day fantastic and made sure my husband and I were not worried about anything the day of our wedding! The Links had tons of great places to take photographs, from the willow tree where we had our first look, to a stone wall, large staircase, and my favorite, the brick bridge overlooking the pond. It was gorgeous and The Links drove my husband and I around on a "limo" style golf cart with a just married sign on the back. Our bridesmaids and groomsman also got to drive their own golf carts and had a fun time doing it.
Karen is amazing, and if you get married at The Links, I would definitely recommend asking for her to be your day of coordinator and wedding planner. She made sure everything went smoothly and was super patient with us as we changed our minds on wedding colors, our final guest count and the order of our ceremony. She even went the extra mile and duck taped my shoes when they broke minutes before I walked down the aisle. She was constantly caring and made sure to tell us to slow down, eat and enjoy the day.
The Links also did a snapchat filter for us and even recorded all the snapchat items and sent them to us on a flash drive. It was cool to be able to see our wedding from our guests perspective and see all the months of planning going into effect, with details that I didn't even think about day of. Overall, Karen is the best and you won't find a prettier location for your wedding then The Links
The Links is a beautiful venue, and all of the staff members, from the golf cart driver, bartenders, waitstaff and venue team are amazing and professional. There are so many different options and they work with you to customize everything. Karen is absolutly amazing, she is literally the best. She made the entire process so easy and non-stressful, and I'm fairly sure she even managed to make the weather cooperate. She even dealt with our uncooperative shuttle driver so we didn't have too, and followed up after the wedding as well. We would absolutly recomend the Links to anyone searching for a venue.
My Son was married at the Links in July. It is a beautiful setting. The venue is the best in Gettysburg. Karen, the manager, could not have been more accommodating. ANY question we asked was answered. We had special diets, no problem for the Links team. Service was outstanding. Staff refilled drinks without asking. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was wonderful. The ceremony went off flawlessly, due to the wonderful rehearsal we had at the Links. The weather was in the 90's and the Links made sure that there were water stations for the guests. Karen and her team went about and beyond.
I could not be happier with my wedding ceremony and reception, hosted at The Links. We had 155 guests in total, all of whom raved about the delicious food, fast and professional service and beauty supplied by the venue and amazing staff. The Links provides a coordinator, Karen, who goes above and beyond to ensure your wedding dreams come true. Karen was professional, personable, responsive and incredibly knowledgeable. She guided my decisions throughout the planning process, giving me options and her opinion, but never pushed me or made me feel pressured to go in a certain direction. I am so grateful for her and her amazing team for working to give my husband and I an amazing memory at a beautiful place. I would highly recommend The Links for both your ceremony and reception!
This venue was amazing. We booked almost a year and a half out from our wedding date and during that time the business changed coordinators two times which left us a little uneasy. We ended up with Karen who was AMAZING. This woman knows what she’s doing and everything went smoothly the night of our wedding. She is extremely responsive and made us feel like she really cared about our big day. Anything that we wanted or needed Karen made it happen. The food is amazing. The scenery is spectacular. The staff was fun and professional. There was nothing that we would’ve changed. They have packages of all types and were willing to make changes that fit our needs.
Our son and daughter-in-law enjoyed a beautiful reception at The Links. Karen and the staff were friendly and provided excellent service and worked within our budget. Many guests have commented on how good the food was and the beauty of the venue and the landscape. Everything went smoothly and the guests enjoyed a delicious cocktail hour while the bridal party took pictures. We wouldn't change a thing. Many thanks to Karen and her staff.
The Links was the PERFECT venue for our daughter's October 2017 wedding. Christina worked closely with the bride and groom to insure our day was flawless.
The layout is perfect to allow guests to move from the lovely ballroom, to the large bar area and ample deck and patio with amazing views of the beautiful golf course and surrounding countryside.
We received many compliments on the food including the served appetizers, delicious dinner and wedding cake. Attention to detail was given to all aspects of the event.
Our guests enjoyed the dance music by Great Scott productions as well as being able to move outside to sit by the fire pit on the deck and take in the beautiful evening.
In fact, we extended the reception a half hour because no one was ready to leave. The Links graciously accommodated this last minute decision.
The location was perfect for family friends who traveled from Pittsburgh and Philadelphia to attend. We highly recommend this venue for your special day!
Karen and all of the staff at the Links were nothing short of amazing. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to the whole crew. Our wedding day was even running a little late, and they all were so accommodating and gracious enough to extend us an extra half hr. Have your wedding day here, and you will not regret it!
I honestly can’t say enough good thing! Karen was amazing and made my entire day perfection! I told her what I wanted and she made the day of come to life! The entire staff at The links were outstanding! Thank you to Christina as well she helped a lot with the decision making and made the process so much fun for us! Thank you again to eveyone!!!
Our wedding day was awesome! Christina and Karen were so easy and fun to work with. They handled all of the details, kept us on schedule with the planning, and were easy to get ahold of during the entire process. They catered to guests and us on the wedding day and made sure everything was perfect. We could not have had a better day! The venue is absolutely gorgeous, great for different picture options and the food was delicious :)
Everything about this venue was amazing! From the food, to the scenery, to my amazing coordinator Karen. She helped me every step of the way and I couldn't be more grateful!
Beautiful place for a wedding! We booked our date at the Links a year in advance and within six months went through two wedding coordinators. Our final wedding coordinator was Karen and Thank God for Karen!! She knew how stressed we were going through multiple coordinators and met with us right away to make sure everything in our files was correct. It rained on our wedding day and I was adamant about still having the ceremony outside. Karen quickly had all her workers start rearranging things and finding umbrellas for the wedding party. She said it was the most awesome ceremony she's ever seen. The views are amazing, the food was amazing, and the workers were amazing. Karen and Christina are the real deal! The Links is the place to have your wedding!
The reception was beautiful. Very professional and put together. The food was A+. Looked like it was right out of a movie. 10/10 would recommend!
The links made my wedding day everything I wanted and more thanks to our wedding coordinator, Suzanne. She was there for me every step of the way to keep us on schedule but also let us enjoy every moment. We fell in love with the Links the first time we visited after walking out on the patio where the ceremony would look over the golf course. We knew it was the perfect place and our wedding truly was the best day ever!
I'll say from the start that The Links at Gettysburg is definitely not the cheapest option as far as reception venues go, nor is it the most expensive, but the service you get for what you pay is absolutely incredible.
As soon as my husband and I stepped into the The Links Clubhouse for the first time, we knew that this was the place where we wanted to celebrate our marriage. Set atop a hill, The Links is a cozy, yet spacious venue with a floor plan that seems a bit odd at first, but really works well!
We had Alyssa as our coordinator and she was AWESOME! During the planning process, she took great care to make sure our day became everything we wanted it to be and was very patient with us. When the day of the wedding actually came, everything was absolutely perfect. Upon our arrival from the church, we were greeted by servers with champagne and hors d'oeurves, as well as a train of golf carts that took us and the wedding party to the charming footbridge below for pictures.
Throughout the evening, my husband and I didn't have to worry about a single thing. Alyssa and the DJ (Great Scott Productions), kept everything running on time and let us know what was happening when. We were so grateful for this because it freed us to truly enjoy every second of our reception, which we did!
I cannot say enough good things about The Links. If you're getting married in the Gettysburg area, this is absolutely the place to be! You won't regret it!!
The Links at Gettysburg was the perfect choice for our wedding. Allysa was our wedding coordinator and she was incredible. She was always there to help with any questions or concerns and made the entire process so easy and stress free. Our guests kept commenting on how beautiful the space was and how delicious the food was. We couldn't have been happier!
The venue is set in a quiet area of Gettysburg and surrounded by lush, well kept grounds for the golf course. The inside of the venue doesn't disappoint either, a majestic fireplace and FULL offset bar... stone patio and outdoor capabilities. We were more than pleased with the venue, and such an asset to have a place that wasn't lacking on the inside. Several venues we toured were either slightly outdated or bland on the inside in comparison to the beautiful grounds. So disappointing! Not the LINKS.
The service from our planner and every ground staff member was extraordinary, above and beyond perfection. They are professional and educated, they know how to best execute the tiniest detail. We had an issue with wind the day of my wedding, and without missing a beat the coordinator had us prepared to switch sides so I wouldn't spend the ceremony battling my cathedral veil. Finally, the food was DELICIOUS. I was thrilled that so many people stopped to comment on the food. When you are paying a good junk of your budget towards food, you want it to live up to the price tag and this far exceeded! As a side note, they have a list of preferred vendors and the reverend they recommended made our ceremony more than special, it was personal (a blessing considering we had met twice). I highly recommend! The specials are also more than fair and worth the investment.
The place is real pretty! A little pricy as they charge you for everything. Alyssa is super nice.
From the beginning to the day of the wedding Suzanne, our wedding coordinator, made sure everything was taken care of. The Links were able to make the changes we wanted to our package and were flexible throughout the planning process. I would definitely recommend them as a venue!
I cannot begin to describe how beautiful our wedding day was... even the day of our rehearsal! Our rehearsal on Friday was so organized thanks to our wedding coordinator Suzanne Thompson. She already had everyone's names written down so when it came time to practice we were in and out within 30 minutes! The day of our wedding went just as planned with no hiccups to slow us down. The Links "preferred vendors" that we used were also a huge reason why are day was perfect! They were so organized and kept us on track! Suzanne had the room all set up for when we arrived two hours before the event to get ready, it was more than what I even had dreamed of up until that day! Our cheese, fruit, and crackers with the champagne were waiting for us in our dressing room! Everything from the food, drinks, up lighting, cake, flowers, centerpieces all pulled together beautifully thanks to Suzanne's suggestions! Our friends and family are still raving about how wonderful our day was, and it was by far the best wedding they had ever attended. People probably thought by looking at everything we spent well over $30,000, when in actuality for 140 guest we kept it under $13,000 including the venue, ceremony, hors d'oeuvres, full bar with alcohol soda and hot tea, cake, wedding coordinator, linens, sales tax and gratuity. We highly recommend everyone to consider The Links At Gettysburg, it is worth every penny!
I had my wedding at the Links at Gettysburg this past April. Suzanne and the rest of the Links' staff were great!
We loved all the options we had when it came to the food selections in our package. We were also given the option of upgrading if we wanted. This was very helpful after we decided we wanted to continue to try out foods after we didn't want to go with anything we originally chose to try at the tasting.
Suzanne was very accommodating and even helped when it came to finding a new vendor, after I came across some issues with a different potential vendor.
The food, location, wedding packages, and staff all make the Links a perfect venue for a wedding. We are continuing to hear from our guests about how much they enjoyed the event.
I would highly recommend the Links to any couple.
Our coordinator, Allysa, was fantastic! Very attentive and willing to go along with our crazy ideas for the reception including pinwheels, a pineapple hunt game and fireworks. Allysa gave us tons of information and was always willing to answer any questions or concerns we had. The staff was great during the whole day making sure everyone was happy and things were kept moving at a good pace. We felt the site was great for all our needs and the staff was fantastic. We got married March 23, 2013 and left the Links feeling the best night happened at the best site. Thank you!
I have worked with many other venues in the past and this was by far the best experience. We were able to book and plan in one trip, Suzanne is amazing to work with and makes the entire process so quick and easy with her organization and experience. The room is stunning, the food is incredible, and the price is unbelievable for what you get. I would have expected to pay twice what we did for the experience we had. My guests were all wowed and more importantly my husband and I enjoyed every moment.
As a note: We held the wedding and reception here so cost of service included space, time, food, bar, cake, staff, linens, and planners. We had very few other vendors and expenses once the Links was booked!
This was the perfect location for our wedding. The patio was beautiful overlooking the 18th green. Suzanne was our wedding contact and she responded very quickly to all of our questions and gave us great recommendations (we are from the Philly area and didn't have a clue about local vendors). The food was FABULOUS. People are still telling us that it was the best meal that they ever had at a wedding:). The event ran smoothly and we both had a wonderful time. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Links at Gettysburg.
I fell in love with this place the moment I saw the outdoor ceremony site. I had a lovely wedding planner whom I loved. Something happened and She left The Links so I was put into the hands of the "more experienced" wedding planner. She was nice and said everything I wanted I could have until the day of the wedding when the linens were wrong, the timeline mysteriously changed back to what she had provided in the first meeting, and it was windy and cloudy so she kept showing me the radar on her phone - making me very upset. Needless to say she brought the ceremony inside. It was beautiful even though not what I wanted.
Overall I say this place is a AWESOME place to get married - the food is amazing, the Chef is so nice, and it's a great outdoor place for pictures. The only downside is I kept getting comments that the wedding planner wasn't so nice to all my guests.
The Links at Gettysburg was the perfect place for our February wedding reception. The building sits overlooking the beautiful golf course, pond, and bridge (makes for incredible pictures)! The food was amazing and the people were terrific to work with. They have many different packages that work with a variety of budgets. They provided us with a wedding planner, Suzanne! I couldn't have pulled it off without her! All of our guests just raved about how wonderful everything was and that it was the most beautiful reception location they've ever been to. Absolutely no complaints! Having our reception at The Links helped make our special day even more special!
I chose the Links as my wedding ceremony AND reception site. The location is beautiful and has great spaces for indoor and outdoor weddings. I got married in January, so I chose the indoor setting and it turned out better than I could have hoped for. Our coordinator, Amanda, was wonderful at answering our questions and helping us plan everything for the big day. The staff was wonderful throughout the entire event and our guests could not stop complementing the meal selections. I had around 90 guests, which was a good size for the indoor space. The terrace and the foot bridge on the golf course make for beautiful photos. We couldn't have been happier with the Links as our wedding location!
Everything was perfect from the moment we started planning. Amanda DeFalco working closely with us to plan every last detail. She took care of contacting the other vendors the week of and was so amazing the day of the wedding. She made sure everything went off without a hitch and it did! It was absolutely beautiful and truly the wedding of my dreams! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding and reception venue!!!
Suzanne absolutely did an amazing job! She kept everyone on point, tracked the weather, and made sure the flow of the evening went smoothly. We were overwhelmed with the exceptional service. They even brought in a diver to find something very treasured that fell into the pond as we posed for photos. Truly a wonderful exerience!!
Amanda and the rest of the staff at The Links delivered on every promise they made to us from the beginning! Everything was beautiful, the day ran smoothly, and most importantly, everyone had a great time! I would recommend The Links to anyone planning a wedding.
My husband and I were married at The Links At Gettysburg last March and it was incredible. We had Suzanne Thompson as our wedding coordinator and she was amazing. She had everything under control. You get a lot for your money at this venue, all of the silverware and linens are included as well as your wedding cake! You pick from the selected cake vendors they provide and you tell the baker exactly what you want and you get it! It's amazing! Our guests had a wonderful time and most of them thought we paid a lot of money for such a beautiful place! We wanted an outdoor ceremony but since it was the end of March, the cold weather was a little too much. The Links handled it amazingly. They moved everything inside and made it just as beautiful. I recommend this venue to any bride in the area who wants the wedding of their dreams.
From planning to the big day, we were extremely impressed with the service and attention to detail. Suzanne far exceeded our expectations. Everything was handled with professionalism and carried out to the T. our day was perfect! The Links get a 10 out of 10 and two thumbs up from the Neils! :)
Our wedding reception was seamless and spectaular. Our coordinator, Suzanne Thompson, was wonderful to work with and made the event a time when we didn't have to worry about the details. The food was wonderful. Chef George Keeney worked with us when we had a concern, and made everything to our liking--even had us out for a second tasting to confirm!
This venue is the best. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. I got many compliments from guests. Amanda is the best coordinator. She made sure everything was in order and make sure we were okay. We wouldn't have survived without her help. I would recommend this venue to anyone. Best service and overall great value.
Our wedding reception was held at the Links, and we had the most wonderful reception I could have imagined. Amanda, our wedding coordinator, was on top of everything right up until the reception. She informed us every step of the way, and the day of the wedding, was so helpful and if there were any problems the day of, I never knew about any of them! The setting is just gorgeous, and we have some great shots of the golf course and the sunset behind us. I would recommend this venue to anyone!!!
I feel in love with The Links at Gettysburg when I saw the pictures on the website, but during our first visit I knew this was the perfect location for our ceremony and reception. Amanda, our coordinator, was amazing and helped make the entire planning process smooth. She ensured every detail would be exact on our wedding day and it was! The pictures turned out beautifully from the ceremony, reception and golf course. I am so happy we had our wedding at The Links!
Fantastic staff! We worked with Suzanne and she made planning our wedding so easy. She was so helpful in providing suggestions for vendors, food selections, decor, and so much more. George is amazingly sweet and his food is excellent. The staff were very informed of our needs - one of the servers reminded me that one of the sauces had oranges in it (I'm allergic). I highly recommend The Links at Gettysburg.
I loved working with The Links at Gettysburg for my wedding! They provide you with a list of preferred vendors for flowers, cake, DJ, etc., and they are all wonderful to work with. Because they work with these other vendors so often, everyone already knows how to do things the best way to make everything look beautiful. We didn't have any problems, and my wedding was stress free! Everything came out perfect, and had a great time!
The Links is definitely worth the money!
I just got married in October 2010 and we had our reception at The Links and we could not have been more pleased. We originally picked The Links due to its beautiful fall foliage, and as our wedding drew nearer, we knew we made the right choice! Not only was it absolutely beautiful, our coordinator Suzanne, tended to our every request to ensure that everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious, the staff attentive - many guests have told me how elegant the wedding was. My mom refers to it as "our magical wedding" and I could not agree more! It truly was an amazing day!
The Links and specifically Amanda, catered to my every request (including needing 11 high chairs and changed table seating the day of the wedding) with ease, the food was absolutely delicious, the fireworks were cooler than we even expected, and it was just an absolutely wonderful experience, I had no stress at the reception because they had taken care of everything.
We held our ceremony and wedding reception at the Links in June 2010. In our opinion, our wedding was perfect and our dreams came true. Amanda, our wedding coordinator and the staff at the Links are top notch! The planning process was a breeze and not very stressful. The facility is stunning and we received a ton of compliments from our guests about how nice everything looked, how great the food was and what a great time they had. We couldn't have been more pleased and would highly recommend the Links to anyone and everyone! The Links, plus our other vendors gave us the perfect wedding! We will be forever grateful!!
We just got married and had our reception at The Links in October 2010 and had a wonderful time! Our guests loved the food and we loved the service! Amanda was our coordinator and she did so much for us! She must have spent forever setting up our reception room with all the centerpieces exactly as we wanted! Everything went smoothly and we had a great time. My only complaint is that it went too fast :(
The staff at the Links was top notch! Very reliable! They know what Brides want/need and help guide them using their experience so you are not left with planning everything. The food, setting, employees etc were all great!
I am still amazed at how beautiful my reception at The Links at Gettysburg turned out. Our wedding coordinator, Amanda, was amazing. I felt, at all times, like I was her only client, and I know she had a full calendar. I knew that the reception would be nice, but I had no idea just how beautiful everything would look. And the food was amazing! Thank you to The Links for making that night one of the best nights of my life!
I could not have asked for a better wedding experience! The staff at The Links was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. Our coordinator, Amanda, walked us through the planning process from the very beginning with everything from our menu to selecting other vendors. Our wedding day went extremely smoothly and we enjoyed each and every moment. Almost 2 years later, our guests still comment on the quality of the food and the beauty of scenery overlooking the golf course. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!
Our outdoor ceremony at The Links at Gettysburg overlooking the golf course and the mountains was absolutely beautiful. It fulfilled all of our dreams and truly made for an amazing experience to share with our family and friends. I could not have asked for a better day for our outdoor ceremony or a better location. I highly recommend The Links for an amazing and personal ceremony. We also picked this location because of the backup options for an indoor ceremony by the fireplace.
The chef makes incredible dishes and my guests all loved the food. I wish that they had a restaurant that I could back and eat at again. Our event went smoothly and we had so much fun. We definitely thank The Links for ensuring that we had the perfect day.
