Abby is a 24-yr-old event planner who claims 12 years of experience. We worked with her for 18-months in planning our wedding. During the process, she seemed sweet and hardworking even if she had no idea about budgets (pushed for us to spend 1/3 of our total budget on lighting for example). On our wedding day, however, Abby was totally out of her depth. When we arrived 45-minutes before our ceremony, the welcome signs weren’t up, the arch wasn’t set up, readings weren’t printed, and the table wasn’t set. She’d arrived 5 hours earlier, and we have no idea what she’d been up to. At no point did she reach out asking for help or family reinforcements. So much of what we’d planned just never got put up even though the groom, wedding party, and family went into overdrive trying to make up for Abby. After the ceremony, she was no where to be found and she didn’t get the bar open until 30 minutes into our cocktail hour. Our dinner service then was super slow because Abby used an outdated seating chart. At points we were running an hour behind schedule. The incompetence on display throughout the evening from setup to our sparkler exit was honestly stunning. We don’t like writing negative reviews, but we feel obliged to try to save other couples from the stress Abby put us through.
We hired Abby for month/day of coordination and it was the best decision we could have made! Abby is very responsive to communications sent to her. You can tell how much she loves what she does, and it shines through in the work she provides. She set everything up for the day in record time, I couldn't have done it without her. She kept the day flowing well and always communicated with us what was planned and going to happen next. She eased a lot of my anxieties leading up to the big day and for that, I am grateful!
We had Abby as our month/day of coordinator for our backyard wedding (about 150 guests) in October 2022 and we are so glad we made the decision to hire her! She helped us stay organized while we planned, made vendor suggestions when we couldn't find them and even gave us a heads up to make sure our tent rental would be coming with sides (which it wasn't going to until we called!) when she saw a cold front approaching near our wedding day. She created our timeline to fit in all the events we wanted throughout the day and organized all our information within a document that was easily accessible and editable for both of us. Once we gave her our vendor information she worked with each of them to organize their arrival times and created a floor plan so they would know exactly where to go when they got there. Having her manage the vendors made our lives much easier as she fielded all their questions so we could focus on other wedding preparations. On the wedding day she arrived at our house and set up all our tables and other details like the seating chart and flowers exactly as we had pictured it. It turned out perfect and having her set them up allowed us the chance to enjoy the morning with our bridal party and family without having to worry about a thing. She met with vendors as they arrived to make sure they were clear on all our details and throughout the reception she made sure to keep things running on our timeline. The wedding went so smoothly and it is 100% due to her organization throughout the day. Without her we surely would have missed an event or gotten off schedule. She ensured my husband and I had everything we needed throughout the day and never let our water glasses go dry. She even quickly hand cleaned my dress on the dance floor after cake was dropped down the front of it so I could get back to the party. My husband and I agree that there is nothing we would have changed about our wedding day and Abby is a big reason we feel that way about how it went. I definitely recommend The Little Planner for your wedding planning needs!
Abby is wonderful!! She is detail oriented and professional. Not only is she knowledgable in all aspects of wedding/event planning but was timely in all of her communication. I was very impressed with how she was on top of the ball from day one; she was great during our site visit and venue walk through, and lastly executed all our events wonderfully for the clients and their guests. As a caterer I've worked with many wedding planners and can say I would 100% recommend Abby to all potential wedding clients.
If you’re looking for a wedding planner or day of coordinator that is meticulous, caring, and unflappable, Abby is your girl! We used Abby as a month-of coordinator for our July 2022 wedding and everything went perfectly and exactly according to schedule.
Prior to the wedding, Abby made a detailed timeline and coordinated it with the vendors in advance and ensured that every vendor arrived on time and was set up according to schedule. Abby also reviewed the floor plan and made helpful suggestions for decor and shared ideas to re-use the ceremony florals. At the wedding, She and her intern placed all of our decor items exactly as I imagined it (all while managing a brutally hot day and keeping vendors on time!!) Throughout the day if I needed anything, Abby was there to make it happen right away
When my new husband left his sunglasses on the shuttle bus, Abby immediately called the company to locate the sunglasses and arrange for their pickup.
Abby goes above and beyond for her clients and her care and consideration for her work is evident in everything she does. We were so happy to have Abby with us on our special day (and our parents who were skeptical about what a day of coordinator does couldn’t stop raving about what a good job Abby did and how helpful she was!)
Abby was worth her weight in gold!! She was extremely helpful in the planning process from start to finish. She helped my dream day come to life and I could not be more thankful. You will not be disappointed!!!!!
Abby Fritz was very organized throughout the planning process. She had great suggestions for vendors to use, tips on how to set up and make things run smoothly day of our wedding and then delivered what she promised. Abby was punctual and professional for all out appointments. It was a huge relief to be able to count on her for the details and just enjoy our special day!
