I can't say enough about how incredible Jen was as our wedding florist. At the beginning of our process, it was difficult for me to put my exact floral vision into words and I wasn't familiar with the types of florals we might want to go with. Jen was able to distill our vision into an organized vision board - and she nailed it. She brought my vision to life in a way that completely exceeded my expectations. When I saw the final result, it truly blew my mind. I’m absolutely in love with how everything turned out! One of the things that stood out was Jen’s use of unique florals that I had never seen at other weddings. It made our day feel so personal and special, and I couldn’t have been happier with the selections she made. Throughout the entire process, Jen was an absolute pleasure to work with. She’s a clear communicator, incredibly detail-oriented, and so kind. Whenever we were on the fence about certain decisions, she gave such helpful feedback that made everything feel easy and stress-free. Jen and Pam did an amazing job setting everything up on the big day. Everything was flawless, and I’m so grateful to them. We wholeheartedly recommend The Local Petaler!

Jen was absolutely amazing to work with. She really made my vision come true! Jen was always super responsive and worked with me and my husband with any changes we may have requested. Everyone was RAVING over how perfect the flowers looked. And the arch during the ceremony was absolutely chef's kiss!!

Jen made my hydrangea wedding floral dreams come true! From the start, Jen was a joy to work with and made the entire end-to-end process of wedding florals an absolute breeze. Our floral vision was clean and all white floral, bud vases, and a TON of candles - and she DELIVERED. My bouquet was more beautiful than I could’ve ever imagined. She even incorporated some florals from her yard, which proves she will go above and beyond for her clients (and proves she is an all-around amazing human)!! Our venue required a room flip from ceremony to reception, and the Local Petaler team did this swiftly and was able to repurpose our florals between the two events. The Local Petaler can truly make your wedding florals vision come to life. I was eager to hire Jen when I saw the heartfelt mission on her website about making beautiful florals in her grandmother's honor. Like many brides, I had a very clear vision for the type of flowers I wanted, but I saw very few examples online of the type of flowers that I wanted perfectly executed. I worked with Jen over the course of several months and she patiently heard me out about my vision and did everything to execute it to perfection-which she certainly did. Even up until days before the wedding, Jen made a last minute switch to some of the flowers she had initially included in our centerpieces and they ultimately came out fabulous and exactly how I'd always envisioned them. And if that's not wonderful enough, Jen's "Petaler Pick-Me-Up" program allows for your beautiful blooms to be repurposed and gifted to the community the day after your wedding so that the greater community can share in having a little piece of your special day. Jen is patient, hardworking, diligent, and has an eye for executing the vision of the couple. We can't say enough about The Local Petaler!

Jen was a dream to work with! As someone who originally didn't care as much about flowers as others, I quickly found that the florals at our August wedding in Chicago became one of our absolute favorite touches of the day. Jen was responsive, patient and was key to translating our rough ideas to a gorgeous finished product. She was warm and understanding of where we wanted to land budget-wise and provided multiple suggestions on how we could reuse different pieces to make the most impact in our space. Additionally her attention to detail was amazing from bouquets to table settings to our ceremony space. We really could not recommend Jen enough for your event!

I found Jen at the Local Petaler from a friend's wedding but fell in love with her style of communication, collaboration, and of course - her florals! I really wanted whimsical and romantic with pops of vibrant colors offset with natural greenery and she absolutely delivered! Her floral selection was unique - types of peonies and roses I had never seen before, and her execution was flawless in the bouquet arrangement and altar design. I was absolutely speechless when my bouquet was delivered while getting ready - I think I shed a few tears! On top of that, Jen is a wonderful human and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her along the wedding planning journey.

Can't recommend Jen and The Local Petaler enough! Her work is absolutely incredible, but on top of that, she is so great to work with. She really personalized the entire experience for us. A few things that I loved about Jen: 1) She came prepared to our initial consult with great ideas based on my pinterest pages. She had clearly done her homework before we even hired her! 2) She was patient with me when I changed my mind multiple times during the planning process (even down to the last minute). 3) She worked with my budget and found creative ways to reuse bouquets and other floral pieces in a way that looked beautiful and purposeful and not cheesy. 4) Jen and I both lost beloved dogs recently and so we happened to bond over this during the year of planning. On my wedding day she surprised me with a memory tag that was attached to my bouquet and had a picture of my dog that had passed away. It was the most special and thoughtful gesture. 5) When I saw the final wedding day florals I gasped. It was better than anything I could have imagined. Everyone was talking about how gorgeous everything was and our guests couldn't stop taking photos of themselves in front of her beautiful work. 6) She came up with a super cool and creative hanging floral piece for the ceremony (and later reception) and it was like nothing I have ever seen before. I am sure it wasn't easy to create from a mechanical perspective, but she somehow did it. 7) She has great taste. I trusted her esthetic completely. YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG BY HIRING JEN AND THE LOCAL PETALER TEAM! She is the total package of wedding florists!!!

I seriously cannot recommend The Local Petaler enough! My sister used Jen for her wedding in 2020 and I loved her work so much I hired her for my wedding this past year! Jen was extremely accommodating and her attention to detail is exquisite. Everything turned out more beautiful than I imagined! Thank you Jen!

I cannot recommend The Local Petaler enough! Jen was so supportive during our wedding planning process and on the day of the wedding. She is quick/responsive, thorough, and creative in her guidance and ideas from the time of the initial proposal. The end result of her work could not be better. We absolutely loved our wedding florals - they were truly the most beautiful flowers we (and our guests) had ever seen, and we can't imagine our day any differently. We would work with Jen again in a minute!

My husband and I hired The Local Petaler for our August 2022 wedding at The Brix. Jen was an absolute DREAM to work with! She helped SO much from the beginning - even before officially hiring her when we were very overwhelmed with figuring out what we needed. When we met with her initially she showed us her inspiration for our wedding, it was so visual and she really made the inspiration come to life for us on our wedding day! Jen is very personable, organized, and easy to work with! I wish I had made a plan to preserve my bouquet - it was breathtakingly beautiful!

My wedding was July 9th, 2022. I found Jen (the Local Petaler) via Instagram fall of 2021 while searching for a wedding florist. When I initially contacted her she sent a very friendly and detailed email that made me want to work with her right away, but I was unsure if I could meet her minimum (I believe it is $4,000). After searching and speaking with other florists I realized we would have no problem meeting the minimum and circled back to Jen, my first choice for florals anyways. She was attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and detailed with her communication and initial proposal. These same qualities carried over during the entire planning process; Jen was so easy to work with and made the planning process as fun and stress-free as possible. This is so important when you are already dealing with so much during this busy time. Fast forward to the wedding day and I cannot say enough how beautiful the flowers were. They blew my expectations out of the water and then some. Jen is extremely talented and it shows in every floral arrangement she creates. She took our vision and brought it to life. I was so happy with how everything turned out...my bouquet, the floral arrangements for the ceremony, the beautiful centerpieces at the reception, and all the other details in between. Please, please, please if you are looking for a florist in the Chicagoland area there is no reason to look any further...you've found her! I was referred to Jen & the Local Petaler by a friend and I am SO HAPPY that I was! From the very beginning and to the day of, she was professional and prompt with responding to my emails. She made sure to capture exactly the vibe that I was going for by using pictures from Pinterest to portray that. Fast forward to the day of, I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by my bouquet, ceremony set up, and sweetheart table. Jen is so detail oriented and was prompt in her delivery and set up. I would definitely recommend to brides in our area!

Absolutely AMAZING, Jen was truly a dream to work with!! My husband and I booked The Local Petaler for our wedding day and it was the best decision we made. We had no idea where to even begin in terms of needs, floral budgets, and set up all we knew was a vison. She answered every single question I had and was willing to meet in person to discuss our wedding day. Her communication with us absolutely calmed my nerves, I knew my wedding vison was in great hands with her. I had most our accessories for our wedding day and she was nice enough to come over to our house and view what we had so we can plan correctly. She was AMAZING!! She seriously took our wedding vison/dream and turned into a reality. She did all of our set up for florals and candles. Without Jen our wedding vison wouldn't have came to life. If I could give more than 5 stars I would, please do me a favor and book her now. We love you Jen!!!

I loved my flowers that Jen did! They turned out so great! I wasn’t super picky on what I wanted and Jen pulled through and gave me the most gorgeous flowers. She gave great suggestions to help us stay in budget but still get what we wanted. Pam and Sue did an excellent job setting up the day of. I just wish I was around more while they were there to tell them thank you in person! I highly recommend Jen for all your wedding floral needs!

Jen is absolutely amazing!! She hit our vision right on the head & was a dream to work with. we definitely had something that was a little more unique in terms of what flowers we wanted & the arrangements & Jen NAILED IT. In addition to her amazing work, communication was easy & "the boring stuff" was all made really simple for us as well! Let's hope I don't have to work with her again for wedding purposes but for any other floral needs Jen is now my go-to.

Jen from the Local Petaler blew us away! I read a lot of great reviews about her, and while they are many talented florists out the like Jen, it came down to her personality, hard work, flexibility, and transparency. When I saw my bouquet the morning of my wedding, I was in awe. They were better than I could have imagined, and smelled amazing. Her arch, the centerpieces, the candles, everything was beautiful. Although we didn't get to interact much with her assistant Pam, we watched her work very hard and they make a great team. Recommend The Local Petaler to everyone!!

Since the consultation Jen showed how detail oriented she was. We are beyond happy we went with her!! She is all about making sure you get the show stopping florals all while maintaining your budget. She is the greatest and can’t wait to work with her and Pam again!!

Jen is an amazing and talented florist. And she had the kindest heart! We were to be married on 4/4/2020 (not ideal timing with the COVID-19 pandemic) and Jen was by far the easiest vendor to reschedule. She remained incredibly flexible with new dates and changes to florals to align with the new season. We held a small backyard wedding in October and she did an fantastic job with my bouquet (it was the perfect size!) and made an incredibly beautiful flower arch that was a showstopper in our pictures. I cannot recommend Jen enough! You will not be disappointed. We are very excited to use her again for our wedding reception this July.

Jen is amazing and so talented!! Due to COVID we had to cancel our original out of state plans and completely re-plan our wedding (including finding new vendors) for a small, local wedding. I was able to show Jen a few inspiration photos and give her a brief description of our vision and she ran with it. When we walked into our venue on our wedding day, I was blown away. Jen's florals were basically the only decorations we had and were all we needed! She took my vision and brought it to life plus some! The flowers looked beautiful, airy, and organic and also smelled so good! Jen is not only extremely talented but the things she does for the community are so great. Give her a follow on social media and you will know what I mean! I highly recommend hiring Jen at The Local Petaler for your wedding event(s), you will be blown away!

When I first came across The Local Petaler, it felt like I found a hidden gem. However, this gem deserves to shine! Jen's work helped give my wedding the romantic, dreamy vibe I was wanting. Jen is kind, helpful, and honest, and I loved the collage of images she provides to help give a visual of the ideas discussed. When possible, she will also re-use ceremony flowers for reception. Our flowers were BEAUTIFUL! I highly recommend The Local Petaler!

Jen was the full package- creative, collaborative, responsive, good listener and delivered the wedding florals that we could only have dreamed of. They were gorgeous- from the arch to the standing arrangements, table florals, brides bouquet, boutonnieres etc....we got complements on it all. She took our vision and made it even better than we could have hoped. Very professional and speedy in her set up and take down...you hardly knew she was there. Highly recommended!

Jen was referred to us from a friend who was also working with her and we were SO happy with our entire experience. After our initial meeting with Jen (before signing any contract), my husband and I both immediately agreed that we had found the perfect florist to work with for our wedding. Jen is extremely down to earth and genuinely had our best interest in mind during every stage of the process. As a lot of couples did, we ended up having to cancel our large wedding and opt for an immediate-family-only backyard wedding due to Covid-19. Jen could not have handled the situation in a more caring and thoughtful way. Making a change in plans meant that we also adjusted our budget, floral theme.. pretty much everything. Jen was extremely flexible and understanding with everything. After many back-and-forth in the decision making process, Jen finally told me to "trust her that she would make everything look beautiful." From that moment I didn't stress about a single thing and let Jen take control of the rest of the process (which was amazing). In terms of the finished product, I could not have dreamed up anything better. All of the florals were stunning and there was not a detail that was missed. We received SO many compliments on the flowers and, six months later, I still feel so grateful that we had the opportunity to work with Jen. If you are looking for a genuinely caring person who will work within your budget without sacrificing quality, look no further!

I found Jen through Instagram and she was so fun to work with! Worked with Jen for my wedding in September 2020 in downtown Chicago. During the replanning process due to COVID she was so accommodating it eased so much stress. My florals were so beautiful and her pricing is so transparent and fair. It’s also so nice to support a local women-owned small business! I would recommend her to anyone!

We were so excited to work with Jen for our wedding on 6/6/20, but unfortunately we were one of the weddings that got cancelled due to COVID. Luckily we were able to safely move forward with a small, modified ceremony, and Jen was right there with us. She was able to provide a beautiful bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, and a memorial wreath. When our postponed wedding also was cancelled due to COVID, Jen was kind enough to work with us and use what we had already paid as credit towards future events. We definitely look forward to working with Jen in the future!

Jen is amazing! She was instrumental to bring our winter wedding to life. Working with her was a breeze; she made the entire process easy, from vases, candles, setup, and take down. Everything was beautiful!

Jennifer at The Local Petaler exceeded my expectations in every single way. She handled my wedding from rehearsal dinner to reception, and I can confidently say that booking her was one of the best best decisions I made in the wedding planning process. Upon walking into my rehearsal dinner, my mind was blown. When my bouquet arrived, I cried (happy tears). When I saw my reception venue for the first time, I cried (more happy tears). She absolutely nailed it in terms of what my overall vision was, end to end. She just seemed to get me, implicitly! She took my fairly limited budget, and created something so unbelievably beautiful, my guests are still talking about how stunning and elegant the floral arrangements and table decor was at both events. Seriously look no further. Book her.

My florist bailed less than 2 months before my wedding (LOL 2020) so in a furry I reached out to 10+ florists to see if they were available our date and if they could swing the tight timeline based on what we needed. Some people responded right away with generic proposals, others said they’d get it to me within a few days, but how Jen responded immediately put her above the rest. She took the information, pictures and Pinterest boards I sent everyone else but asked a few more questions to ensure she was understanding my vision which I SO appreciated. It immediately put me at ease. She was able to facetime with my mom and I, talk through our ideas and I had her booked before some others even responded. I immediately knew she was the one, and she was even beyond my expectations. I am OBSESSED with how my flowers looked. She was so creative in finding ways to save us money (like reusing the arch way- which was next level beautiful for centerpiece) and added in pops of texture so even if the color palate was simple, every single floral design was its own masterpiece. My mom and I said its like it was meant to be for my first florist to fall through so we were able to use the Local Petaler. I feel so incredibly lucky and I couldn’t recommend Jen more!

WOW! Jen is amazingly talented. Jen stood by my side as I planned my wedding for two years due to rescheduling. We had to change guest counts, arrangements, ideas MULTIPLE TIMES and she did it each time without hesitation. Her communication, ideas and personality were the main reason I hired, Jen. She is so hospitable and understand meanwhile keeping a very calm and collective business atmosphere. If you are a bride and are contemplating- I am here to tell you CHOOSE JEN! You will not be let down and quite honestly you will already know your wedding will be flawless.

Jen was great to work with and her flowers were amazing! When I first reached out to Jen about our wedding she was easy to work and helpful with suggestions in our budget. She quickly sent over ideas and her proposal which was perfect! Soon after, our wedding date, location, guest count and overall plan changed significantly due to covid-19. She was very accommodating during that time with all of the changes to our original plan. Thankfully Jen was able to fit us in on our new wedding date and we could not have been more happy that she did. Everything from the bouquet to the ceremony altar to the reception were beyond our expectations. We will never forget walking into our reception to see the beautiful centerpiece she made along with all of the other creative details she took care of. Lacks Integrity and Professionalism. I reached out to Jen from The Local Petaler back in November 2019 to see if she was available for our October 10th, 2020 wedding. She was free and after a couple of e-mails back and forth plus an in person meeting, I signed the contract and paid the deposit in January 2020. My fiancé and I were very excited to work with Jen and support a small business! I wanted to make a few changes to our initial proposal/flower needs (one of the changes being not needing to rent any candles or vases from her and another change being wanting to order some Sola Wood flowers from Etsy to add to some of the centerpieces). I knew these changes would reduce our overall cost but I reached out to Jen over e-mail, sent on Feb. 9th, 2020, expecting to have a conversation about it. She quickly responded that she was swamped with Valentine’s Day projects and that she would get back to me to discuss my changes over the weekend. That never happened. Fast forward to now, April 6th, and I received an e-mail from Jen stating that she had to break our contract in order to accommodate a Spring wedding of hers that had been rescheduled to our date due to the Corona Virus. She wrote: “I wasn’t super comfortable going forward with the wood flowers, and it was such a dramatic price decrease, I was going to reach out anyway and discuss, and then I got so distracted by all of this. And then this other email just came in today...” as well as “However, at this point they have already paid more toward their events and financially I have to go with what makes sense for the business.” I completely understand that it is neither Jen’s fault nor the other couple’s fault that the Spring wedding had to be canceled and rescheduled. But it does not make it okay for a vendor to break a signed contract because they would be making more money off of a different event. I am very disappointed in this customer service and hate that all this time was wasted. Very unprofessional and overall bad business.

Perfect experience! The flowers were perfect and she made them to exactly what I had envisioned! She made it so easy and delivered to me easily morning of! Entire process was easy and great!

Jen was amazing to work with. I had a rough idea of what I wanted for my boutiques and they turned out better than I could have imagined. My mother is a huge flower person and was floored by Jen's work. She is so creative and gives you guidance if you're on the fence or not sure what flowers you want to use. She also can work within any budget. I would recommend the Local Petaler for any event!

I worked with Jennifer from the Local Petaler for my wedding day flowers and could not have been more pleased. I knew nothing about flowers, had a modest budget, and only a vague idea of what I wanted and Jennifer was able to put together florals for me that exceeded my expectations. My order changed several times leading up to the day and she was always responsive and kind about the changes. The quality and size of the boquets were more than I expected for the price and she even delivered the flowers all the way to Rockford for an extremely low fee.

The flowers speak for themselves! Jen did a fabulous job and my flowers were more than I ever expected! She was so easy to work with, had amazing suggestions and created my vision perfectly! She even came at midnight to pick up the vases and boxes she used to make it easier on myself and my family! Jen, thank you so much for make my wedding so perfect! You are amazing!
