The Lodge at Flat Rock

Loved this place and their staff! I am super picky and looked at tons of other venues before choosing Mountain Lodge. The lodge is very well maintained and the waterfall courtyard is absolutely beautiful! Mary Bell was so amazing and kept everything on schedule throughout the rehearsal and wedding day. My only complaint was our DJ that was contracted through the lodge. He didn't seem interested in the reception and when my husband (the groom) went up and asked him to play a song, he saw the DJ was on google and not even paying attention to the reception. Overall the DJ was a small issue and I loved our wedding and reception. The food was amazing and the night was perfect!

My wedding day was absolutely perfect and I owe so much of that to the Mountain Lodge. Scott, Mary Bell, and the entire staff treated my husband, me, and our wedding guests as if we were their family. We had the rehearsal dinner and the reception at the Mountain Lodge and it was the accommodations for all of our guests, as most were from Florida. The rehearsal dinner took place on the gorgeous patio! We had an amazing blue grass band thanks to Mary Bell's recommendation. Scott even did our toast at the rehearsal dinner. They truly felt like our family. The reception was stunning. The Mountain Lodge has beautiful centerpieces and Mary Bell added a special touch when she told me of submerging flowers in water, which Scott helped make happen on the day of the wedding. The Mountain Lodge is such a special place, any bride would be lucky to get married there!

The Mountain Lodge made sure I had everything I would ever need for the day and night of my wedding. Everything was planned from the hair and make-up to the meals left in the fridge for us after the reception. Mary Bell and Scott only want the best for their guests. The food was amazing, the DJ was a blast, and the drinks were flowing. I had several people tell me this was the best wedding they had attended and it was all thanks to Mary Bell and Scott. Those two make wedding planning easy and they take as much stress away as much possible. I plan on recommending the Mountain Lodge for everything and I plan on telling any out of town friends and family that this is where they should stay.

Our son and his bride chose Mountain Lodge for their wedding reception and guests' lodging. It was truly a great weekend for family and friends to visit and celebrate. I would highly recommend this location to any bridal couples looking for a venue with a competent, caring staff.

I had my ceremony and reception here because we had many people out of state. It worked out perfectly that no one had to leave the hotel. We had the ceremony in front of the fireplace which was stunning. The reception area is beautiful as well. All the guests loved it. And so did I. They did an amazing job.

My wedding at the Lodge was amazing! Mary Bell did a fantastic job at making sure everything went off without a hitch! We had to change up our ceremony location because of weather, but Mary made the process smooth and easy. She made sure we had everything we needed, recommended amazing vendors and was a great planner. The food at the Lodge was fantastic, and all the staff were very helpful and kind. I would recommend the Lodge and Mary Bell to anyone looking for a beautiful setting, wonderful help, and a once in a lifetime experience!

I just wanted to thank you for everything with planning Trey and I's wedding. It was so beautiful and very well put together. Everyone was very professional and easy to work and get along with. The food was exquisite; didn't have a single complaint! Would definitely recommend this venue to friends that are looking for somewhere to get married, It is so gorgeous here! Thank you for creating my dream wedding. The only regret..... I didn't get to go swimming!

Mary, we were very pleased with the turnout at the wedding. The hosting was perfect; the staff was kind and courteous and the food was the subject of discussion for several days after the reception and even after we returned from our honeymoon! I was able to have a little of everything and was thoroughly pleased with all of the food. Scott was absolutely awesome. He made things flow so smoothly that Sara and myself were able to completely immerse ourselves in our special day. Many thanks to him and many thanks to you for all of the hard work that was put into making sure everything...just worked.

Scott and his staff at Mountain Lodge of Flat Rock are wonderful, helpful and very friendly. I highly recommend this venue for weddings or any event that you might be having. The lodge is very clean and spacious.

We recently got engaged and ultimately decided to elope. However, Mountain Lodge was at the top of our list for wedding venues. Mary and I emailed (and spoke on the phone) multiple times, and she was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I truly felt like she cared about us and our wedding, despite having never met us. She seemed very open to working with our wedding budget and ideas. I haven't visited the lodge in person but my initial impression is that it's a beautiful, welcoming place to have a wedding. If we hadn't decided to elope, I expect we would have held our wedding here!

They made my special day even more amazing then I could have ever imagined!The wedding venue is beautiful and you can get your DJ, food vendor, and EVERYTHING through their lovely wedding planner MARY BALL. I barely worried about all the details of my wedding because of how amazing this place is. Even if you aren't coming for a wedding the rooms and scenery are beautiful and the staff is great to work with. The owner is a wonderful guy! I Would recommend to anyone who is on a small wedding budget and still wants it all. I feel what I paid is spectacular compared to the price of most weddings these days! :D

Very pleased with my venue! Got a few bad comments about the food but the majority said it was excellent! Also got so many comments of how gorgeous it was!

We selected Mountain Inn & Suites as the location for our wedding reception and lodging for all our guests and we could not have been more pleased with our choice. Scott and his staff were very easy to work with, and helped put our planning minds at ease, as we we live in another state and were planning our wedding from afar. Mountain Lodge's caterer provided all the food for our cocktail hour and dinner reception, supplied an open bar with staff, and also worked with a local bakery to provide our wedding cake. They were also key in working with our band for the reception. Overall, everything Mountain Lodge took care of helped us deal with the stress of planning such a big event remotely and the whole weekend was a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend taking advantage of their fire pit, and they will even provide everything you need for s'mores! We can't recommend this establishment highly enough. Our parents, family and all of our guests gave rave reviews!

Rooms for our only daughter's reception were superior. Steve is an outstanding host & offers phenomenal hospitality. The staff exceeds your needs & expectations. The Fire Pit was great for 'after-parties' All of our guests declared it "The Best Wedding EVER!" Everything the Bride's parents wanted & more.

The Hotel is wonderful. The manager Scott is very helpful helping you figure out what you need and working right along side of you for the entire event. He is very kind a accommodating. The facility and staff is wonderful. Our clients raved about the room and hotel. The grounds and rooms were great. Breakfast was very good. The room prices were affordable and the rooms have more to offer than your average hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for your future events. Thank you Mountain Lodge and Conference Center! Mountain Lodge was perfect!!! My wedding was so gorgeous, my guests are still talking about it. The Lodge took care of everything. I did an All-Inclusive package which also included my vendors... photographer, DJ, flowers, minister and wedding planner. It was awesome! Everything was so fun and easy. The food was fantastic and so affordable for what I received. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who wants the perfect wedding experience without breaking the bank. Thank you Mountain Lodge! This venue is absolutely stunning inside and outside!! Scott the owner was truly amazing and made our day beyond special!! Good or bad weather you have plenty of back up plans that would be taken care of for you!! And the food everyone raved about! This place was very organized and helpful with any questions that arise!! This was a amazing venue... It was so nice to not have to worry about vendo facilitation. Scott and his staff were so professional and wonderful. The food and decorations were perfect and I loved the atmosphere. The rooms were clean and so relaxing. Please give this venue the opportunity to impress you and take some of the stress away from wedding planning!

My husband and I renewed our wedding vows in celebration of our 20th anniversary on October 1, 2014. I didn't want the hassle of planning a wedding like I did for the original ceremony, but I wanted an elegant event. Mary and Scott made everything so easy. I didn't decorate because the venue is already beautiful. The florist made bouquets for my daughter and me and boutineers for the guys. Mountain Lodge has center pieces for the tables and a beautiful cake stand. They set up all the tables and chairs, fully catered the event with a wide variety of menus to choose from even on the lowest priced list, and most importantly they did all the clean up too. If you have ever stayed after a wedding to help clean up you can appreciate having someone else do it. We had a "turn key" event for 30 people on a Wednesday evening for $1850.00. I booked the event only 3 months in advance to get the special rate. We took pictures outside in front of the waterfall, but held the ceremony in the lobby on the staircase by the rock fireplace. The main entrance traffic was diverted so the ceremony was not interrupted. Mountain Lodge is a first class venue with wonderful people to help make your wedding worry free.

Mountain Lodge was the perfect wedding venue! The Lodge easily accommodated the entire wedding party and many guests, offering large suites to everyone who stayed. The meal choices from the on-site chef were delicious and beautifully prepared. The courtyard was the storybook backdrop we had dreamed of for our wedding day, the waterfall was gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and helpful and their on-site wedding planner made sure that everything went perfectly. We couldn't be happier.

I recently had my wedding weekend at Mountain Lodge of Flat Rock and it was AWESOME! I am from out of town and they made my destination wedding planning experience fun, easy and affordable. I could not have been happier with my choice and all my guests were so glad to stay right there at the Lodge. Having guest accommodations onsite is priceless. Mary and Scott worked with me on lodging, rehearsal dinner and the full wedding. They were just great, food was spectacular. Just can't say enough good things about this place! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a perfect wedding!

We recently used the Mountain Lodge of Flat Rock as a home base for the weekend of our son's wedding. We had a rehearsal dinner on that Friday night for about 62 people. The staff was great! They allowed me to do as much or as little as I wanted. They provided very tasteful centerpieces, and white table cloths...napkins in my choice of color. The food was yummy, and ready on time when we returned from the rehearsal. I can't say enough good comments about the staff. They were super nice, and they really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We had about 5 rooms occupied for lodging. The rooms were comfortable and decorated nicely. The continental breakfast each morning was well stocked and fresh. I would happily use this facility again, and I give my recommendation without any hesitation!

The Mountain Lodge provided lodging for out of town guests for my daughters wedding at The Cliffs at Glassy. In addition, they provided a hospitality suite and the welcome party was held at The Mountain Lodge. The staff was so helpful in planning and carrying out all of the things we needed done for the entire weekend. They placed hospitality boxes in each guest room, helped to set up the hospitality suite, set up for the welcome party as well as providing staff, and provided excellent customer service for the whole weekend. Our guests could not say enough about how courteous and helpful the staff was for the entire weekend.

Scott went out of his way to make our reception amazing and fulfilled all of his promises over and above what we expected. The rooms were a great value too and our out of town guests only had good things to say about the rooms and breakfast in the morning. We would recommend the Mountain Lodge to everyone!

We used this venue for our Son and Daughter-in-Law's wedding rehearsal dinner and also accommodations for our out of town guests. We could not have been more pleased! Scott and his team made me and all of my guests feel welcome, comfortable, and like they were happy to help in any way they could. Every time there was a blip in schedule, accommodations, timing, planning, ANYTHING, Scott immediately solved it, fixed it, and eased my mind, all at them same time. I used to be a DJ for weddings and I have never seen a wedding go so smoothly as ours did. Mountain Lodge thinks of everything! Scott anticipates your needs and has them completed before you even know you need them, and if you need something, he is right on it, no questions asked, no hassle, no fuss, and a smile to boot! Every single one of my guests commented on how nice the accommodations were at Mountain Lodge and how helpful the staff were. My Maid of Honor has a disability and is in a wheelchair - Mountain Lodge was able to accommodate all of her needs as well.

After researching every place in Henderson and surrounding counties, we chose Mountain Lodge for many reasons and we are so glad that we did. First, Scott and his entire team are SO wonderful. He went out of his way to make sure that our day was exactly what we wanted, even when I changed my mind on stuff, he made it happen. He was always quick to respond to my emails/requests, meet with me as often as I needed to go over stuff, and thanks to them I didn't worry about a single thing because I knew everything would be taken care of. Scott became a part of the family during our time working with him and everyone still comments on how nice everyone was. On top of such a wonderful group to work with, the space is wonderful. Everything from the outdoor waterfall, to the beautiful fireplace/lodge entrance to the banquet room. You don't have to invest a fortune in decorations because the space is beautiful enough. The food was great, and you are free to use whatever vendors/etc you choose, they are just super flexible about everything. On top of all the positive things I can say, the price is wonderful for everything you get. I can not thank Scott and the lodge enough for such a wonderful day. Even now, almost a year later we get so many compliments about how great it was, how it was the best wedding many had ever been to!

We had a picture perfect day thanks to Scott and his staff. Not a thing that could have been improved. Completely 1000% awesome

Everyone at the venue was wonderful and helpful. The easy access from the highway was great and the secluded back area with waterfall is beautiful. Our ceremony was inside and turned out great. Has a great vibe and really good food!
