The Lodge itself is a beautiful and so are the grounds. However, the event manager was disorganized and very rude during the walk-through which was a few weeks before the wedding. On my wedding day there was a different staff member working who contradicted what what discussed at the walk-through. We kept the event manager in the loop when creating the master timeline, which included a last dance at 11:30pm. On the day of the wedding the staff member approached my DJ at 11pm and told him to shut off the music. When my day of coordinator asked if one more song could be played for the last dance she said no even though we were never told that music had to be shut off at 11pm. It's a beautiful venue and it's unfortunate that the staff were contradictory and caused unnecessary stress on our wedding day.

Katherine Legge Memorial Park is a gorgeous venue with a lot of beauty and history at every turn. We hosted our wedding here and we loved every minute of it! Our ceremony took place outside by the arch while the reception took place in their historical lodge. The ambiance was perfect, and the staff was very helpful guiding us through our event planning and making our wedding as perfect as possible. They also provided us a list of reputable caterers they've worked with before and trust. All were excellent choices and we were thrilled they had options for us to work with.
My husband also had his high school prom pictures there back in 2015, he said it felt like a full circle moment being back getting married. It was a perfect day, very picturesque! We both strongly recommend this place for anyone searching for wedding venues!
Any questions?

The Lodge was perfect for us. The exact moody/vintage/woodland vibe we were after for our theme. Very budget friendly. Ceremony on-site with built in beautiful arch, no extra fee. You'll receive entire lodge for 8 hours and can add more hours for additional charge. Comes with tables and chairs for inside. Unique floor plan. Huge kitchen for caterers. Beautiful history. Spiderweb stained glass windows đ We absolutely loved having our wedding here. The staff is great! They really do work with you, they are very kind and helpful. This venue holds around 125 guests on the inside but has plenty of property outside for a much larger wedding/event if you rent tents etc. We had around 60 guests so ours was perfect. The only negative thing I can say is that this property is technically on a public park so we had a few random people around while we were trying to take pictures and have our ceremony đ
the staff did what they could to keep it as private as possible with putting out "private event" signs but it did not help much and that is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. This did NOT ruin our day though! as I believe those random people had enough respect to keep their distance. Just something clients should keep in mind. All in all I would definitely recommend this venue!

We were intending to hold our wedding and reception at the Lodge, but unfortunately had to cancel due to Covid-19. However, the staff at the Lodge was incredible during the course of the 2 years we worked with them, all the way through to the unfortunate cancellation. This is a beautiful venue for a great price. I would certainly recommend it to anyone working with a smaller budget, but wanting to still have their special day at a beautiful place!

We had our wedding here and all the staff was so helpful for the day of! The lodge is beautiful on the inside, very cozy. What we really loved was the fact that if we had bad weather we could've done our ceremony upstairs in the ballroom. We had enough space for 85 people and everyone loved the place. If you're looking for a quiet, woodsy wedding spot this is your place!

From the very first step inside the Lodge, I knew it was where we would have our wedding. Itâs beautiful! Itâs got a rustic charm, itâs perfect for an intimate event and it is on a huge park. Itâs a perfect spot for pictures. There is a pergola right outside the Lodge and itâs perfect for an outdoor wedding. Unfortunately We couldnât get married there Because the grass was so wet. But KLM, Uncle Bubs(caterer) and Joie (tent rental) Made it work with an outdoor ceremony on the patio -there also is an upstairs space thatâs also a great space for larger events or as a back up and itâs so pretty! We had a tent with string lights on the patio and it looked so beautiful. Dinner was held inside the lodge and then cocktail hour and reception was mostly outside. We had 95 people and we fit perfectly in the dining room. The staff is so helpful and friendly. They were super accommodating. And also great price for the space and all of its amenities. They give you a list of preferred vendors and we chose Uncle Bubs (who are also amazing!) and they all made it so easy for us. It was so reassuring to know they work together often and everything was so smooth. It was a perfect night !

We loved the picturesque vision that the Lodge provided for our wedding venue! From the first time we saw it, we knew it was the place for us. Every staff member we worked with was friendly and helpful and made us feel so reassured in the wedding planning process. Our reception was beautiful and we got some amazing pictures on the grounds and inside the Lodge itself! Weâd definitely book the Lodge again for a future event!

We are so happy we went with KLML! We fell in love with the outdoor ceremony site and the ease of having the reception at the same location. We worried about the size of the dining room but everything worked perfectly! We had 90 adults in the dining room and about 25 kids in the living room with our cake, Photo Booth and guest books. Upstairs was a beautiful ballroom for dancing. Took pictures by the Zook House. We went with a brunch wedding on a Sunday morning and the Lodge was cheaper plus the park was quieter. Bride's room upstairs for all the ladies to get ready in. So happy with our venue choice!

We rented out the lodge for our wedding reception and enjoyed our time and the venue. Everyone was great to work with and it was a lovely venue. The Lodge staff was extremely helpful with the planning and helped answer any question we had and since we worked with a caterer off their list, they were also very knowledgeable and well-acquainted with the space. They let us stop by and do a couple different walk-throughs and helped by offering some suggestions. The day of, they had everything set-up that they said they would so our caterer could come in and do the finishing touches. Everything worked out perfectly and we were very pleased with our choice of wedding venue!

The park itself is great but in the winter the hours are 5 p.m. and it is already dark at 5 p.m. and the park does not have lights wtf.... why would you make the hours in the dark and not have any lights in the park that was great planning... if the park had lights it will be five stars all day I love this place

An extremely charming and intimate location that lays on several acres of beautiful land that was perfect for our fall wedding! Our family and friends loved the quaintness and charm of this gorgeous venue! We were extremely pleased with the look and overall feel of this location for our wedding. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the venue staff was not the greatest with communicating and answering some of the questions I sent via email, which made it difficult to plan some aspects of our wedding. I also felt it was a tad pricey seeing as our ceremony and reception were all held inside, where it is quite small. We had under 90 people and it still felt a bit crowded. Overall, the staff was professional and did a wonderful job to ensure our night was perfect.

Beautiful venue with very informative and accommodating staff. The lodge has a second floor ballroom which can be used for your event, but be aware that it does not have an elevator, only stairs to the second floor. If you plan to use outside space, keep in mind that they only have one vendor that they work with for chairs and tenting for outside.

We had our wedding reception at the Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge a few weeks ago. It's a beautiful venue and was the perfect fit for us--we wanted something more rustic and vintagey, not a typical banquet hall or country club. The event coordinators were very easy to work with. The only thing I didn't like was that you get 8 hours for your event, which is fine, but this includes 2 hours for setting up and 1 hour for cleaning up. That means you only get 5 hours for your actual reception. I actually called up KLM to tack on an extra hour so that we could have more time for dinner and dancing, which wasn't a problem because the prices are so affordable. I had more trouble with the set-up situation, because you're only able to set up in the 2 hours immediately before your reception. I was physically getting married in those 2 hours! So I had to appoint a couple of friends to help set up for me between the ceremony and dinner. The whole day turned out wonderfully, I just wished I had been able to set up the night before or early that morning like some venues will let you. All in all I'd definitely recommend KLM for a small wedding--you can't beat the price and how lovely it is inside (and outside; the park has some amazing spots for wedding photos!). Don't let the fact that there are two levels throw you off; I thought it might be weird for people to traipse upstairs for dancing after dinner, but I don't think anyone cared.

From the staff to the actual venue, I couldnt be happier with the way my wedding turned out. everything was absolutely perfect and had the perfect feel. everyone we interacted with from start to finish was amazing. I had non stop compliments all night long about how great this place was. I had both the ceremony and reception at the location and the lodge had the perfect rustic feel that I was going for. I barely needed decorations because the the place has so much history and wood beams and fireplaces and wood floors that you dont have to look for ways to decorate it. I still brought in a few things, but I didn't even have to have a florist, that's how beautiful this place already is. I also got married in November and my photographer had so many places to shoot outside and inside for us. thank you a million times over. it was the PERFECT place for a small, intimate, rustic wedding. exactly what we wanted!!

We had our wedding here in July 2017. I was already familiar with the park and thought it would be a beautiful place for an outdoor wedding. We had our ceremony outdoors and then had our reception both in the lodge and under a tent in the back of the lodge. I was a little leary of how the split seating would work logistically, but I loved how it turned out! They just finished new landscaping in the back, and everything looked wonderful. Their preferred vendor list led us to Uncle Bubâs Catering, and the staff at the Lodge worked together perfectly with the rental company and with Uncle Bubâs to coordinate the wedding day. It made it so much easier on me knowing that they had already worked together so many times! They knew how and where to set things up, and I trusted their knowledge. Bob worked the day of our wedding, and he did a fantastic job making sure everything went smoothly. If there were any problems that came up, I was (and still am!) completely oblivious to them!

Honestly, I loved the atmosphere and how charming this place is. Itâs almost secluded and the interior gives you such a warm and cozy feeling. Initially, the staff was just as awesome as the venue; however, after everything was said and done (AKA paid for & party was over) they were unresponsive and somewhat nonchalant about my concerns. My biggest pet peeve is the lack of follow-up/follow through. The customer experience doesnât end after you have purchased something, it continues on so that you may get repeat business as well as positive word of mouth (FREE) marketing. I called Jennifer the Monday (March 16th) after my party and I expressed how happy I was with the event, but voiced one concern. I was promised a call back for that Friday (March 20th), but after 2 weeks of waiting I never heard back so I called her again and left a message....It's been over 4 weeks and I never received a response regarding my concern. I simply asked for a partial refund for 30mins as the staff wasnât able to get the PA system to work at the end of my event and after 25-30mins my guest began to leave. Even if they didnât agree to grant me a partial refund, it would have been nice to hear back from someone since I was promised a call.
Overall, this was a lovely place, but based on the last encounter I wouldnât recommend nor have another event here as the lack of follow up showed me how much they valued me as a customer.

Our daughter was married and had her reception at KLM Lodge January 10, 2015. Approximately 85 family and friends watched the wedding on the second floor and celebrated at the reception and dinner on the first floor. Katherine Legge Lodge is located on beautiful grounds, and the joy of a wedding and reception can be contained within its elegant, rustic setting. There's no car ride to a separate venue to break the joy of the couple's vows. I highly recommend this Lodge and its staff of wonderful employees, who worked so hard to make sure our daughter's wedding day was magic!

KLML could not possibly have been a better venue! Jennifer- the booking and event planner was incredibly nice, thorough, helpful, understanding and accommodating. She pointed me in the direction of everything I wanted and needed....and never said NO! We went a non traditional route with dinner and she was incredibly helpful in making sure everything went off without a hitch! I'd do it all again and I'd do it at KLML for sure!

The people at KLM were easy to work with. The venue is gorgeous and beautiful for pictures. We wouldn't change a thing, and would pick this venue all over again.

My husband and I were working with a limited budget, so venue really determined what else we could do. We fell in love with "KLM" after one visit. The space is well maintained, the staff are willing with work with you and create your vision, the park that surrounds the lodge is beautiful, and the unique look makes a wedding special. Plus, at such reasonable rates, we were free to do all kinds of fun things!
Only downsides: it can be very difficult to get ahold of the staff on the phone, there was a $500 security deposit that was not well explained (it is in addition to the fee, and then returned later), and the space is smaller (best for 75-120). You also pay per hour so set-up must be right before the event.
But if you can make it work, it's worth it!
