The lodge was perfect for our wedding! We had about 100 people and it was amazing. We did the ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour under the tent, dinner inside, and dancing under the tent. It was the perfect size.
We went with the lodge because we love the outdoors - hiking, skiing, etc. and we felt this really encompassed our life. We took photos behind the property near the creek, and it was an amazing backdrop.
The lodge was easy to work with and was an incredible price. We would do it all over again.
The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek was the perfect venue for our wedding. We had 100 guests and our day was magical. The green outdoor scenery was beautiful. We used the lawn for our wedding, the tent on brick for our cocktail hour, and the reception was indoors. I would recommend this venue.
Very helpful throughout the entire process. I changed my mind a thousand times about setup options, seating charts, etc. and they were very helpful. It unfortunately rained on my day but the inside of the lodge for the ceremony was beautiful. We flipped the room for cocktail hour and had the reception under the tent.
We loved the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek. We had the ceremony on the lawn, the cocktail hour under the tent, and the reception indoors. Having both the indoor and outdoor space was great and both were beautiful. The staff were also great!
The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek was perfect and ideal for our wedding. The rustic look made the venue beautiful and cozy.
Their staff was communicative and very helpful. Everything was set-up for us when we arrived at the venue, just as promised. Additionally, due to the Pandemic, we signed our contract in 2019 and they worked with us through all the mandates and changes to make our wedding day special.
We would recommend the Lodge to anyone looking for a fantastic venue to celebrate their special day.
The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek was the perfect venue for our wedding. The grounds are always beautiful and we loved that they offer multiple spaces for different uses. We had our ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour under the tent, dinner inside the Lodge, and partying outside under the tent. Sue is an amazing venue manager, she works hard to make sure everything is perfect. We truly appreciate all the employees at the lodge who worked hard to make our big day extraordinary!
We recently celebrated our wedding at the Lodge and would choose this same venue a hundred times over if we could! The staff members are responsive, competent, kind, and easy to work with. They were flexible when we had requests and really prioritized us having everything we wanted for our big day. The lodge itself is obviously beautiful and the surrounding grassy area as well. Many of our wedding guests commented on how lovely the venue is. We really feel we stumbled upon a fantastic deal with the Lodge, and are so grateful to have gotten married in this stunning location!
The wonderful thing about this location is all of the options you have. I don't know how many other venues in the area have indoor, outdoor, and tented space for such a good price. Having all these options available really gives you tons of choices for organizing your day, and gives lots of "safety nets" for any situation that could arise (COVID, rain, etc.) The spaces are also all so beautiful on their own that you dont necessarily need a ton of decoration - we just used candles and florals.
The only challenge we had with the venue was some of the communication with staff. All staff members were incredibly polite and professional, and we loved working with Brandon and Yulia, but the communication with other staff members was not always clear or concise. We had a full service planner and had directed all communication to her, yet the lodge frequently reached out to us instead, often with detailed questions I couldn't answer which was just an unnecessary level of stress for us. Additionally, when we asked questions it was sometimes difficult to get a clear answer. It was great that there was a lot of flexibility, but at the same time, it would've been nice to get a clear answer to basic questions like, "what time do we need to inform you if we choose to go with the rain plan?" Overall I am incredibly happy with the experience as the wedding was beautiful, but I would not say the lodge was a super easy vendor to work with.
I highly recommend booking the lodge at Seneca for your wedding venue. The inside is beautiful with twinkle lights and a gorgeous fireplace .. very romantic spot and outside under the tent is like a fairy tale. This spot is like two venues in one if you use the outside tent as well.
The staff are very helpful and work with you to create the magical wedding you have always dreamed of. The price is more than reasonable and they can help with catering recommendations as well who are familiar with the standards the County and lodge sets.
We had my daughters ceremony on the lawn and the dinner was to be inside( but since Covid only allowed 25 guests inside at the time,) we decided to do dinner and reception outside. This venue is just gorgeous and a spot to definitely check out!!
The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek was such a beautiful venue for our ceremony and reception! We loved that it provided options for an indoor or outdoor ceremony so that we didn't have to stress about the weather. We ended up having gorgeous weather, so we were able to utilize all the event spaces by having the ceremony on the lawn, the cocktail hour in the tent, and the reception indoors. Sue and the other staff were really helpful and always willing to answer questions; they were also helpful in keeping us organized. The pricing for the lodge is very reasonable too. Overall, it was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding and we were very happy with our decision to go with the lodge!
We had our wedding reception at the lodge and would highly recommend The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek. The venue is beautiful and their team is great. Thank you for making our wedding day incredible.
Would highly recommend this venue for not only it being so affordable, but they were also great at communicating with us and were a big help making sure the wedding day ran smoothly. Though it's right off of a frequently traveled road, you barely notice it due to all of the beauty that is surrounding you.
Couldn't recommend this place any higher. It blew us away for what we got for the price compared to other venues in the area. Best parts in my opinion- you get 2 entirely separate spaces for ceremony and reception so you don't have to awkwardly cram people into a small place for a cocktail hour while they rush to change it over and it allowed our vendors to start cleaning up early. It also came with a tent which we ended up being so appreciate of because it did rain on our wedding day and that's another $1,000-$2,000 value. We barely had to decorate because the inside of the lodge and outside were so beautiful already and the creek made for AMAZING pics. Another HUGE money saver- you can bring your own alcohol as long as you have a certified bartender which meant an open bar all night for a fraction of what other places were charging for 2 hours. Staff support was ok but it's a public park property so wasn't expecting too much there. Only slight negative was they scheduled a tour for another couple to see the property at the same time as our rehearsal ceremony and rushed us out which was a little awkward but in the end not a huge deal. Overall would HIGHLY recommend this place!!
The Lodge was everything we were looking for and made for a beautiful outside ceremony and indoor reception for 100 people! The fireplace inside the lodge is absolutely gorgeous and makes a beautiful backdrop for photos. Rhea and Sue were professional and great to work with. They responded quickly to all of our calls and emails with the answers we needed.
We were married this past April at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek and cannot imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The process from start to finish went off without a hitch. Rhea and her team were incredible to work with and were always quick to respond to all of our questions leading up to the big day. We had our ceremony on the patio under the tent which provided the woods and open field as a beautiful backdrop. The lodge itself provided the exact rustic chic look we were hoping for and we had countless guests comment on the space. We opted for a more “cocktail” styled reception which allowed the perfect amount of room four our 100ish guests, band, and catering team. Thanks Rhea and everyone else at the Lodge for making our wedding day exactly what we were imaging.
The Lodge was beautiful and the perfect place to get married. Our experience with the staff was wonderful from beginning to end. They were so responsive and helpful with all of our questions. The venue was perfect and exactly what we wanted when we envisioned our wedding day.
My only wish was that we could have rented the facility for a longer period of time. The end of the wedding felt rushed to get out in the time that we were given for our rental and I would have loved to have been able to have more time for our reception.
The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek was the perfect spot for our wedding day. It is absolutely beautiful and able to accommodate an indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception. It POURED on our wedding day and the ceremony was delayed by 30 minutes and the Lodge handled all of that with grace. It is a stunning venue and totally worth booking.
This is such a beautiful venue with a great staff. From day one, Rhea and her team were prompt to reply and answer any questions we had. They were very knowledgeable about vendors we could work with and helped with making sure our setup would work. They are truly there to help make your day special. In fact, on our wedding day, right before I went to walk down the aisle, a staff member noticed my train wasn't straightened out (I had forgotten to keep someone with me to do that). She saw it and said, "Wait!" and fluffed it out for me real quick. I almost cried at such a sweet gesture!
We opted for an outdoor ceremony under the tent (September 01) and the treeline of the park was a gorgeous backdrop for our ceremony. Our 100+ guests fit in the Lodge for the reception with absolutely no issue and the kids loved the park next door. Because the Lodge itself is so beautiful, we were able to get by with minimal decorations- just a few flowers on the table- and we pulled off a beautiful rustic elegance military wedding.
If you are looking for a natural/rustic low-key backdrop for your wedding, this is it.
The lodge was a beautiful venue and Rhea and her team were fantastic to work with! We booked both Friday and Saturday for our rehearsal and wedding day, so they let us set up decorations overnight, making Saturday's set up far less stressful. The location was perfect, easy to get to and close to hotels while still feeling private and woodsy. We ended up having our ceremony under the tent rather than on the lawn, and I highly recommend that option for rain or just for mid-summer weddings, since the hot sun can really beat down outside.
The lodge includes so much that we needed very few additional vendors (no lighting, tables, tents, etc.) which was a great relief! We were also able to bring our own alcohol, so we could buy in bulk and save money.
The lodge was absolutely perfect. It's such a beautiful location, inside and out, that we didn't need to bring in much decor, and it reminded my father of his teenage years spent hiking in the Adirondacks. Justin and Melissa were very responsive, answered all of our questions in a timely manner, and helped to make our wedding day PERFECT. They even went above and beyond by allowing us to use the tent, which we hadn't rented, when we found out it was going to be pouring the whole day. I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The lodge was absolutely perfect!
I can not say enough amazing things about The Lodge At Little Seneca Creek. From the time we first stepped foot in the venue, we knew this was where we were meant to be married. The Lodge itself is so effortlessly beautiful with all the beautiful wood, natural light, and that enormous and GORGEOUS fireplace and it completely fit the "rustic chic" look we were going for. Additionally, Justin and Melissa are complete rockstars and always ALWAYS kept open lines of communication with me, my husband, and our wedding planner. We knew they always had our back and would do whatever they could to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. Lastly, you absolutely can not beat the price. You just can't-- at least not in the Washington DC area. It's for all of these reasons (and many many many more) that I would recommend The Lodge At Little Seneca Creek to any couple looking for a beautiful, rustic, and nature-inspired wedding!
We had our ceremony and reception at the Lodge on 4/1/2017 with about 80 guests. The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful, and we had so much fun. Justin, Kristen, and Melissa are so supportive and walk you through every step of the way. We couldn't have asked for a better day!
So beautiful. We had about 90 guests and it was all indoors for our March wedding. It was so perfect for our rustic wedding. We did simple decorations because the lodge itself is perfect!
The venue is beautiful. Great for a smaller-scale, romantic wedding. The setting is perfect for pictures. The fireplace is gorgeous, and where we had our first look, as well as the stair case outside. The staff is very communicative and they don't rush you at all when viewing the grounds. Easy to make appointments with also. I also love that they give you an hour for a rehearsal before the wedding. Staff was great, and the set up for my wedding was flawless. It was exactly how I pictured my wedding to be. :)
I knew this venue was for us as soon as I seen it!! Pictures don't even do it justice, Not only was it affordable, but it's perfect (even on a rainy day since it's a cozy lodge. - just in case!!) we had visited so many venues around Maryland, & this one was BY FAR the most beautiful one we have seen; we decided on it right away. It was also the most affordable in the county!! Melissa & Justin are The best coordinators you could ask for, they always reassured me that everything was going to be OK and got back to one of us quickly by email if they weren't in office. They did everything they could to work with me and what I needed, even when I was a pain lol. They are all so patient !! When me and my wife went to go see the venue, we started chatting with Melissa for hours, she's amazing to be around. Melissa also played a huge part during the actual wedding and I wouldn't of been able to do it without her !!! Four days later my guest are still raving about how beautiful the venue was & how sweet Melissa was :)
The venue is gorgeous inside & out -- barely needed decorations . For pictures - there's also a perfect little woods on the location that provide the most beautiful wedding photos and perfect for a first look a bride could only dream of. I would choose this place a million times all over again !! I never felt like they were trying to sell anything to us, I really thought I should've payed extra to have the tent, but Melissa was honest and told me I didn't need it with my guest count & I'm glad cause I didn't... She knows her stuff, she even got married here!!!
Thanks to all of you at the
Lodge xoxo

Everybody was great to work with, in regards to the park staff. They were timely in their responses and even helped my day of coordinator through the day with decorations and you name it! Everyone loved the space and it was a perfect day (I was lucky!) but they had a great back up plan if it did rain.
It is WORTH it to rent the tent as well for 3 hours if you rent here and to add on at least 1 extra hour for set-up. I think it was affordable and allowed for a relaxing day!!!
My husband and I were married at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek on Oct 5th. We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue!
The biggest draw for us was the obvious natural beauty of the property and the wonderful rustic feel of the Lodge itself. It required so little decoration to be a magical place for our wedding.
We also really appreciated the wide range of options provided by the different spaces on the property, especially considering the reasonable costs of the various rental options. We had our ceremony out on the lawn at sunset, our cocktail hour under their beautiful tent (we loved having the option of booking the tent for just 3 hours rather than the full 8), and our reception inside the Lodge itself. We knew that regardless of what the weather did, we would be able to share a beautiful and comfortable day with our guests, which was very important to us.
My only cautions would be: First, the Park Center staffers may not always be the most helpful in terms of customer service. No one was ever rude or unfriendly by any means, and the staffers on hand at our wedding were extremely helpful and worked very hard to make our day special. But in the weeks leading up to the wedding, there were some small organizational issues that caused a few headaches. So maybe either a wedding coordinator or some vendors familiar with the venue will be more helpful to you than the staffers themselves during your planning process. Second, the policies can be a little inflexible -- they are strict about the 8 hour time limit unless you want to pay more by the hour, and rehearsal dinners can be tricky to schedule as they are done on a first dibs basis. Neither of those policies caused issues for us but they are something to be aware of.
Those caveats aside, I would still highly recommend the Lodge! We absolutely loved it.
This place is simple and lovely. No need for much in the way of decorations, it is so gorgeous. Very inexpensive, too. Service is not super fast given that it's run by local government, rather than a for-profit, but we didn't have any problems.
I had a beautiful wedding, mostly because of the venue. You can have an outdoor ceremony and an outdoor or indoor reception. I had my ceremony at the forest tree line, and it was great. The Lodge even agree to set up the chairs there for me. But they neglected to tell me that there would be construction going on and that an ugly orange fence would be up outside on the day of my wedding. Also told me at the rehearsal that since the park is public, anyone can just walk through my ceremony! I didn't mind that, just would have been nice if I knew it beforehand. They agreed to take down the orange fence, but never did. Basically, you get what you pay for in service, but the person they assigned to help out day of was really great and they did a wonderful job with setting up the tables exactly to my floor plan. Lovely place!
I was so excited to find this venue for my wedding - it is a beautiful location and very affordable. It was the perfect size for our wedding (about 100 guests)- everyone fit comfortably but there was not a lot of empty space to fill. With the wood walls and high ceilings and stone fireplace, it did not need any extra embellishments. I absolutely loved it! It is definitely worth taking a look if you're planning a wedding in the area!
We found this lodge early on in our search for a location and immediately knew it was the right one. It was extremely affordable (much less than the lowest bracket allowed here) and we were able to do both the ceremony and reception in the same location. It is run by the county as well, so the money goes to a good local place, not a huge corporation. The location includes tables and chairs for inside and chairs for outside so we didn't have to purchase anything from another vendor for the site. They were very easy to deal with and were very accommodating and helpful. They redid the flooring recently and it's beautiful. We had a fire in the huge fireplace behind the sweetheart table and it was gorgeous.
We would strongly recommend the location for anyone looking for a cheap yet quality natural setting that includes almost everything you will need!
The lodge is a beautiful rustic building with a great stone fireplace. The price was really good especially as Montgomery County residents. We had our ceremony outside, took photos on adjacent park land, had a cocktail hour on the large porch, and had our reception and dancing inside. The venue has chairs and tables for inside and even alter structures we were able to use. We had 100 people which was a perfect number for the venue-- enough room to dance and move about. We loved having all of the events in one location and the dinner and dancing in a single room. The staff from Montgomery County, Mariana was fabulous. Our caterers were subpar but she stepped in to help everything get set up right and everything got done. Overall, we had a great time and so did our guests and the venue was a huge contributor.
The lodge was the perfect choice for my "rustic yet elegant" summer wedding. It marries the indoors and outdoors well with a large deck spacious enough for tables to be set up, and plenty of space for guests to mingle. We even had our bar set up on the deck. We chose to have a buffet dinner for about 150 and there was still adequate room for dancing in front of the large stone fireplace! The only drawback was that with 150 people in the heat of june, it was a little warm indoors despite the air conditioning. We were very happy with this venue!
I cannot say enough great things about the Lodge at Little Seneca. First, I fell in LOVE with the huge stone fireplace and that is why I chose this location. As soon as I saw it, I knew that I wanted to be married in front of it. The Lodge is owned by MNCPPC and the staff was terrific. I receieved excellent customer service over the phone, and everytime I went to do a site check Marianna was there to help me. She is the sweetest, friendliest and most helpful lady. She helped us set up the night before (you get 1 free rehearsal hour) and she was helpful the night of the wedding. The lodge was beautiful (just look at my pix!) and the guests enjoyed it. Price was around $2000 for a Saturday during wedding season. Very reasonable.
The lodge has a beautiful deck with a sweeping view of the park - perfect for pictures and for an outdoor cocktail hour. The lodge has a nice stone fireplace and is a very simple pretty place for a ceremony and/or reception. Dave the site manager is a very nice guy.;The kitchen facilities are limited - there is no dishwasher no stove and only a small oven.
