What's the vibe:
The Luminare is a large Wedding + Event Venue that offers gorgeous natural light throughout from its many windows and skylights, and at night, glows from the overhead cafe lights, and colorful accent up lighting. The exposed gray beams, polished concrete floor, 26’ tall ceilings, white walls and a totally open floor plan offer a minimalist, industrial modern warehouse vibe that is the perfect blank canvas and fully customizable to any event.
There is an open catering policy and any licensed caterer or Food Truck can serve at your event, so you get just the culinary experience you are looking for, be it formal or fun. Also, you can also bring in your own alcohol (it is just served from our preferred bartending company), but will save a bunch of money and give you full control of the items provided to your guests.
Types of Events:
With over 11,000 square feet, the venue can host a number of different types of events including ceremonies, receptions, engagement parties, wedding showers, day after brunches, and rehearsal dinners. The space can accommodate smaller more intimate gatherings, or larger parties of up to 275 guests seated, or 500 reception style.

Our team has many years of experience in wedding planning, and will offer guidance not only about the venue details, but of the entire wedding process, if you should need it. We will also strive to say yes a lot, and never say, well that costs extra. You know when you book with us you get access to all that we have, for one inclusive price. This includes:

Where is the location, and what about parking:
Located right off of the University/4th Exit on 35W, in the Marcy-Homes area Minneapolis, and are a short shuttle or ride-share trip to Downtown Minneapolis/St Paul, or The University of Minnesota. Complimentary parking is included for up to 83 cars in an adjacent lot, and an additional 13 spots in a rear lot, which also offers accessibility parking and entrance.

We recently held our wedding at The Luminare, and it was truly everything we hoped for. While the beautiful space and ideal location initially drew us in, it was Catherine and the team’s flexibility and support that ultimately made it the perfect venue. They really let us create the wedding we envisioned, with minimal restrictions, allowing us to personalize every detail to match our unique style and preferences.
Leading up to the big day, The Luminare team was very helpful. They anticipated our needs, helping us think through each aspect of the event. When we were unsure or hadn’t considered certain details, they offered thoughtful recommendations and a range of options, which really put us at ease.
On the day itself, the staff worked seamlessly both with us and behind the scenes to ensure everything was flawless. From transforming the ceremony space into a stunning dining area to guiding our bridal party down the aisle, every moment was handled beautifully.
We couldn’t be more grateful for the experience of celebrating in such a wonderful space.

We were honored to host our wedding at the Luminare managed by Catherine and Lauren, and we were blown away by the beauty of the weekend. From our initial planning stages to the wedding weekend itself, they were an incredible team to work with, going above and beyond to make our special day truly exceptional.
In the months leading up to the wedding, Catherine and Lauren were fantastic to work with. Their flexibility and willingness to collaborate with us on every aspect of our big day was a breath of fresh air. As for some bonus highlights, the venue's double wall projector set-up and built-in sound system were incredible. They allowed us to express our creativity in multiple ways throughout the wedding, from heartwarming slideshows to various music playlists that kept the party going strong. The uplighting provided a beautiful ambience, adding that extra aesthetic touch to our celebration.
Something that truly set this venue apart was its floor plan customizability. Catherine and Lauren worked with us to create a layout that perfectly suited our needs, and it made our wedding day flow seamlessly. Furthermore, the inclusion of various decor elements, such as greenery and a wedding arch, simplified our decor needs.
We highly recommend this wedding venue managed by Catherine and Lauren. Their flexibility, responsiveness, expertise, and genuine passion for making wedding dreams come to life made our wedding weekend a joy. Hats off to the Luminare team.
The Luminare's modern simplicity and light filled atmosphere was the perfect setting for our special day! We could not be more impressed with our experience working with the staff as we prepared for our wedding. The staff team was very experienced, involved, and responsive to email communication; we felt at ease knowing they were there to support us. We appreciate all of the thoughtful touches that made the day of run smoothly and be stress free for us. From providing morning coffee for the ladies, to fun welcome beverages for the guests, to beautiful decor and seamless reception welcoming and cleanup.
