The owner wants to do too many things and none are done well. She is the party planner, she cleans the tables, she gives instructions to bartender, DJ, people in the kitchen, and also the wedding guests, about what not to do. It was total conf...usion about everything, is the bar open or not, can we dance or not, what about the toast, it goes on and on. She would interrupt and speak out loud, either speaking loud, or grabbing the mic from the DJ, out of place. She started with telling all the guests , right before the wedding ceremony started, the history of the house, that it was called a plantation but it never had slaves, that the original owners gave her a portrait or some sort of painting that was hanging in the house. Then she said that she had to add another table in a corner for a group of people that did not RSVP, and decided to show up at the wedding, "she is not naming anybody", but you could clearly see a group of people standing in a corner. So rude and Inappropriate. She would give instructions to DJ, then change it right back to something else. She almost missed the toast, no champagne was passed and most did not even have a drink to toast with. After the wedding ceremony, people wanted to dance, but she did not allow it, even though the food service was delayed. She was also cleaning tables, she would grab dishes and glasses right in front of people's faces engaged in conversation. Clearly, no manners and no experience as a waitress. The food was so simply, nothing fancy, and it was prepared way ahead of time, it wasn't even hot. Now the powder room, there was one single fabric towel for all those guests! and it was an old worn out towel, ready to be thrown out. It was soaked when I used it, and it was early in the night. She is completely unprepared for events in her house. Another big issue, that night it was raining a lot, and she was completely unprepared. Nobody was mopping the floors, not for for safety concerns that somebody would get hurt and for the couple and guests comfort. There are big draining issues in the backyard and front yard. People had to walk down the wet stairs that take you to the backyard while holding their dinner plates and drinks, and then land in a huge puddle of water. After complaints, she pulled the bartender from his duty to brush the water out of the landing, unsuccessfully since there is a draining issue (the landing is a much lower level than the rest of the floor ) . Then she laid down one bath towel to try to get rid of the water, it probably needed 5 towels piled up to level the area. Nobody mopped the dance floor at any time! We know of one man that slipped down the stairs and into the puddle and dance floor. This was not a sudden rain, it had been on the forecast the entire week. Her comments?....we should be glad this is not a hurricane! she didn't care, and did not prepare at all for it. As I chat with other guests on my table about how the owner is trying to do too much and nothing well, there she comes down the wet stairs by herself holding the wedding cake to take it out to the backyard from the bar area. The tables are set up too close to the edge of the tent, so any guests were getting wet due to the way the tables are set up. I don't recommend this location. If you do, you will have to overlook so many things because it will be your wedding day and you will you already be there and you will try to make the best of it, since you can't go back and make other plans.
